An Average Game of Battlestick.

Battlestick is a Steam game created by Pinterac. Your goal is to kill as many stick men as possible using a variety of weapons and reach the top of the scoreboard. Originally designed in mid-2015, it has recently premiered on Steam one year later, finalized. Servers are randomized and the map ensures strategic gameplay, where each spot holds a different offensive or defensive position. Kills also net you XP as you obtain them and leveling up unlocks brand-new weapons to use.

This game provides examples of:

  • Anyone Can Die: It is a battle arena game, after all.
  • Armor Is Useless: Despite having Elite Camo, you'll still have the same health, due to it being cosmetic.
  • Big Fancy Castle: The current map takes place on one of these. You battle in the middle of two towers.
  • Bling-Bling-BANG!: The Golden Crossbow classifies as this, having golden etching on the side that reads 'Jean Michel Crapeau' and made of solid gold.
  • Body-Count Competition: The leaderboards contain this as an aspect of getting to the top of it.
  • Bribing Your Way to Victory: Completely averted. A coin system has been added and you'll get coins for every kill, including triple coins when you're the King. The Facebook page also gives out coins regularly, in increments of 1,000.
  • De-power: Dying will make you go through this, as you'll lose your maximum health stat.
  • Edge Gravity: There's a good gap between being on and stepping off a cliff, since your character will most likely lean on the edge than step right off.
  • Enemy Mine: You can team up with your enemies to take out foes, but friendly fire is still enabled. The developer are currently working on a full team system.
  • Falling Damage: Averted. You can fall as much as you like and you'll sustain the fall with no damage taken.
  • Improvised Weapon: You can use weapons such as regular shuriken or a set of knives but more obscure weapons include throwing a pair of sandals at your enemy.
  • Invisible Wall: Averted. You can fall off the edge of the towers and right to your death if you choose to.
  • Incredibly Obvious Bomb: The bombs in the game can be placed with the right-click. Even though you have to get close to see them, they're blatantly labelled with a skull icon, so they're usually used to defend players from swarms of enemies.
  • Jump Physics: The game features a complex form of jump mechanics, so learning the button maneuvers is key to succeeding in the game.
  • Knife Fight: Expect one of these if you come across a player with one of them.
  • Level Grinding: The game contains examples of this. The first level requires you to get 4 kills, while the fourth level requires you to get ten times that. There's also no XP increase by kill, making it difficult to level later on.
  • Long-Range Fighter: All of the weapons currently classify as this, each having damage, reload time and accuracy.
  • No Plot? No Problem!: There's no plot or reason to why you're fighting. The biggest reason that you'll ever get is that you want to be the King over the other players.
  • Regenerating Health: Despite leaving you open and unable to move and fire, regenerating helps you recover health at a slow rate by pressing the S key.
  • Stock Scream: Some of your death screams can include this.
  • Surprisingly Sudden Death: Even with double health over someone, an especially skilled player can quickly turn the tables and defeat the King.
