- Banned in China / Keep Circulating the Tapes: It's been said that American Greetings banned further releases of the film in North America due to how badly it fared both critically and commercially. As a result, it was never released on DVD outside of Australia, while the first two movies have.
- Blooper: The Ermine Cape that Alice and the Princess wear can't decide what shape the ermine trim is, whether it has a collar or not, or even whether it's being worn or not.
- Box Office Bomb: Budget: $5 million; box office: $2.6 million domestic, $6 million worldwide. The failure caused Care Bears Nutcracker Suite to air as a television special.
- Dueling Dubs: There's two Latin American Spanish dubs; one dubbed in Chile, which is pretty obscure, despite being the first dubbed version, and another one done in Mexico, which, on the other hand, is much well-known.
- Franchise Killer: Care Bears started to fade into obscurity after the film's failure. The franchise finally got back on its feet with the Direct to Video Care Bears: Journey to Joke-A-Lot in 2004.
- She Also Did: Tracey Moore, who voiced Alice, would later get more recognition as the original English dubbing voice of Sailor Moon.
