Trivia / Tear of Grace

Go To

  • Creator Backlash: For quite a while he had this attitude towards his The Binding of Isaac series, since many fans only watched him for that, even though he had many other series and would get numerous complaints on his non-Isaac videos especially if he hadn't uploaded an Isaac video in a while, and later on because of the repetitive nature of the series for him. He eventually warmed up to the series and started uploading it again.

  • Creator Breakdown: Joked about, but Tear took a few weeks off during March-April 2018, with fewer uploads, none of the old series continued and most daily content replaced by more relaxed streams precisely because he wanted to avoid burnout. Joked about, because he opens his returning video with one of his sudden screaming songs about it:
I NEVER MEANT TO HURT YOOOOU
I JUST DIDN'T WANT TO DIE INSIDE
  • Executive Meddling: Episode 111 of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth had to be re-uploaded to YouTube after the video was age-gated for containing some allegedly "mature content". Tear (rather amusingly) slightly blurred that part out and re-uploaded the video a day later. He also celebrated finally doing something that got his video tagged as containing mature content for the first time.

  • Fake American: The first ever videos Tear ever posted, as well as what got him noticed during his early YouTube career.
  • Fake Irish: His third video, as well as what made him partner up with a few actual Irish folks.
  • Milestone Celebration: He has done videos to celebrate getting to 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000 and 100,000 subscribers.
  • Old Shame: Tear says that it took him nearly four years before before he started to produce good content on his channel, generally regarding his older videos as being incredibly bad.
  • Throw It In!: He tends to throw in the segments with mistakes or just general lack of creativity at the end of his videos, in the outtakes part.
  • Trolling Creator: Him throughout his whole Halo: Reach, Halo 4 and Minecraft series.
