  • Colbert Bump: “1-800” was well-received upon release in spring 2017, but it didn’t truly make the jump to Top 40 until July 20th, when the death of Chester Bennington led DJs to play the song as a PSA.
  • Contest Winner Cameo: Logic held a contest for a fan to be included in the cover painting of Everybody; it was won by a fan named Josh suffering from osteogenesis imperfecta.
  • Contractual Obligation Project: Vinyl Days was produced and released after Logic's announcement of retirement in large part due to him still owing Def Jam one last major release as part of his contract. He admitted that the entire 30-track album was put together in 12 days as he was booking to become independent ASAP, but did so with enough care and intent to end the partnership on a high note.
  • Creator Backlash: Minor example overlapping with Dear Negative Reader. In a 2023 video in which Logic reviewed Anthony Fantano's scathing "NOT GOOD" review of his album Supermarket, he offered a mixed response to the album in retrospect. He stood by the album as a "brave" creative risk, a genuine capsule of "one of the most beautiful times in [his] life"note , and a coping tool for depression and anxiety that he was dealing with at the time. To this, he said that nothing in Fantano's review could take away from how the album helped him, and that he was glad to have gone through the experience of releasing the album and dealing with its reception. He said that he "wanted to die" when he first saw the review upon its release, and while he responded to some of Fantano's remarks by laughing about how much they hurt him at first or giving comically exaggerated sad/angry reactions, he ended up genuinely conceding to several points brought up. He admitted that he found the much-maligned Red Hot Chili Peppers pastiche "Lemon Drop" to be "wack" and that someone probably should've talked him out of making/releasing it, agreed with Fantano summarizing the lyrics of "By the Bridge" as "faux-deep filler", broke into laughter when Fantano read some of the lyrics aloud (calling them "terrible" and outright asking "What the fuck was I thinking?"), and called the chorus of "Pretty Young Girl" "cringe" and "predator shit". He ended by giving Fantano's review a "solid 7" out of 10 and saying that he could "agree on some (most) of the things [Fantano] said about the album".
"This is not my best moment, but it's from the heart."
  • Dear Negative Reader: He's a rapper — clapbacks against critics is kind of expected. However, he's also been known to be quite cordial with critics despite knowing that he doesn't tend to always perform well with them. Despite Anthony Fantano being known for giving Logic generally pretty harsh reviews (especially for Supermarket and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind), the two are on quite friendly terms, with Logic having his disagreements but still holding much respect for him.
  • Executive Meddling: Among various cases of Def Jam not reimbursing his No Pressure collaborators that Logic's gone public about, the remix of "Perfect" with Lil Wayne and A$AP Ferg took months to come out due to the label not paying them to clear their features.
  • Production Posse: Ever since his major-label debut, Logic has kept the same prominent team members around him, most popularly producer 6ix and album artist Sam Spratt.
  • What Could Have Been: Before Logic's official return to music in 2021, he released a number of beats and singles on his YouTube channel, with several of them attributed to MadGic (pronounced "magic"), a collaborative project between him and producer Madlib. In 2022, he revealed that the two of them had actually made a full MadGic album together, which he described as "the best album of [his] life", but since Madlib couldn't remember any of the samples used on the album, they couldn't be cleared and the album couldn't be released.
  • Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Following his initial retirement, Logic chose to move onto streaming full-time after signing a massive 7-figure deal with Twitch. However, he ended up fading from the site and social media in general due to getting burnt out by Internet paparazzi and social media hatedoms.
"I don't need people calling my 19[-month-old] son ugly and hoping that he dies. That's kind of the the world that I didn't want to be a part of anymore."
