  • All-Star Cast: The Japanese dub had a notorious voice cast of many well-known Anime voice actors for almost all the characters, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Jann Mardenborough), Kenta Miyake (Jack Salter), Shin-ichiro Miki (Danny Moore), Mie Sonozaki (Leslie Mardenborough), Daisuke Namikawa (Matty Davies), Akio Ōtsuka (Steve Mardenborough), Kaito Ishikawa (Nicholas Capa), Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Coby Mardenborough), Ayane Sakura (Leah Vega), Ryōta Ōsaka (Antonio Cruz) and Tasuku Hatanaka (Persol). Considering the Japanese origins of the franchise, this is quite expected.
  • Approval of God: Despite the film receiving criticism for including his infamous crash during the season opener for the 2015 VLN Series at the Nürburgring Nordschliefe which killed a spectator as a narrative element, Jann Mardenborough gave permission for the filmmakers to include the crash and said that it "would have been a disservice for the audience for that not to be in there".
  • California Doubling: The Hungaroring near Budapest, Hungary, doubles as Silverstone, where the actual GT Academy was held. It also doubles as Circuit de la Sarthe as fair number of shots of the race there were filmed at the Hungaroring instead.
  • Cast the Expert:
    • The stunt double for Archie Madekwe (Jann Mardenborough) was none other than Jann Mardenborough himself.
    • Leah Vega, one of the two women GT Academy drivers, is portrayed by Emelia Hartford - an actual race car driver, custom car builder, and TV host.
    • Rival driver Federik Schulin is played by British Rally driver Niall McShea.
  • Defictionalization: The exact Nissan GT-R Nismo color scheme that Jann drives in the film was added into Gran Turismo 7 as an alternate livery for the 2018 GT-R GT3 during the August 2023 update. Watching the film trailer via the game gives you the car with said livery applied for free.
  • Multiple Languages, Same Voice Actor: In the Japanese dub, Takehiro Hira dubs himself as Kazunori Yamauchi.
  • Short Run in Peru: Released ahead of the August 25, 2023 US date on August 9 in several countries, including France.
