Trivia / Ashley Tisdale

Go To

  • Contractual Purity: She caused a stir among Moral Guardians when she posed nude for Allure magazine, even though she was twenty-six at the time. However this didn't hurt her standing with Disney, and she continued to voice Candace on Phineas and Ferb.
  • Cut Song: The unreleased title track from Guilty Pleasure.
  • Dawson Casting.
    • In pretty much every role since she turned 20.
    • Averted in Scary Movie 5 as she plays a young mother (a first for her) in her late 20's.

  • Dyeing for Your Art: She dyed her brown hair blonde for The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and has alternated between that and brown for years.
  • Fake Irish: Minor example. Maddie's family is supposed to be entirely Irish, but Ashley is only half-Irish on her father's side.
  • I Am Not Spock:
    • She is still mainly associated with her roles as Maddie and Sharpay, and to a lesser extent, Candace.
    • This has gotten to the point of where if she tries something new or appears in a movie, haters of her specifically because of her High School Musical days boycott said song or movie involving her. She can't break out of it.
  • Playing Against Type: High School Musical was her first time playing the Alpha Bitch. She had auditioned for Gabriella first.
  • Promoted Fanboy: A huge fan of The Little Mermaid, she got to release a cover of "Kiss The Girl".

  • Throw It In!: She ad-libbed Sharpay's bathroom door kicking move in High School Musical.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • She auditioned for London on The Suite Life when the character was envisioned as a Paris Hilton Expy. Brenda Song likewise auditioned for Maddie. Realising that Brenda had a natural affinity for playing The Ditz, they swapped them around. In an alternate reality episode, the actresses are in their roles as originally planned (where Maddie is the heiress and London works at the candy counter).
    • She auditioned for the role of Karen Smith in Mean Girls, but lost out to Amanda Seyfried.
    • Producers were torn between having her sing "Kiss The Girl" or "Part of Your World" for Disney Mania 5. They went with "Kiss The Girl", and Miley Cyrus sang "Part of Your World" instead.
