The Winx return to Tir Nan Og where Morgana promises to end her vengeance against Earth, but it turns out the Wizards of the Black Circle have been lying about their surrender and plot to destroy all Earth Fairies forever; to save them, Nabu may have to pay the ultimate sacrifice for his courage.

The day of the Wizards Of The Black Circle's trial has come, and after leaving Kiko and the magical pets to look after the shop, the Winx and the Specialists head off to Sibylla's cave to pick up the wizards. When they get there, they find that Duman's condition has gotten worse, and the wizards believe he may not survive the trip to Tir Nan Og. Nabu offers to make one last attempt to heal Duman, and the Specialists bring Duman back to Gardenia while the Winx and the other three wizards head off to Tir Nan Og.
Roxy uses the White Circle to allow them to enter the Earth fairies' kingdom, where they are met by Nebula and Morgana, the former still holding a grudge against the wizards. Morgana explains that Nebula used to be the fairy of peace, but after being imprisoned for so long and longing for revenge, she became the fairy of war. Morgana is grateful to the Winx for what they have done for the Earth fairies so far, and tells Roxy she is welcome to come live on the island with the other fairies, but Roxy tells her she is happy with her current life and shows Morgana an image of her father and Artu.
Meanwhile, in Gardenia, Nabu manages to figure out that Duman's illness was caused by overusing his shapeshifting magic, which caused him to lose control of his power. However, as he figures this out, Duman suddenly transforms into a monster, and attacks the Specialists before capturing and flying off with Nabu. Riven follows them, and manages to help Nabu free himself from Duman's claws. As Duman prepares to fight the Specialists, Nabu tries to convince Duman to let him use his magic to heal him, as Duman will die if nothing is done soon. However, Duman refuses to let Nabu help, and reveals that Ogron had lied about regretting their actions, and that the wizards are planning a trap that will destroy all the Earth fairies, which will initiate once Morgana touches the Black Circle. Nabu is angered upon learning this, and proceeds to disintegrate Duman.
On the island, the ceremony is about to begin. Morgana places the Black Circle on her finger, which triggers the wizard's spell and opens a dark abyss threatening to seal all the Earth fairies away. The Specialists arrive, only to find they are too late, and they have to help the Winx prevent the Earth fairies from getting sucked in the abyss. Once the Earth fairies are out of range of the abyss, Nabu decides to make an attempt to close the abyss, despite Aisha's protests. Nabu succeeds, but dies from exhaustion shortly afterwards. Aisha attempts to use the last gift of destiny to revive Nabu, but Ogron steals it and wastes it on a flower.
Nebula angrily challenges Morgana, and offers Aisha to join her army in their quest for revenge so she can avenge Nabu's death. Despite Bloom and the others trying to talk her out of it and tell her that it is not what Nabu would've wanted, Aisha is too upset to listen and goes off with Nebula.

- Forgot About His Powers: Apparently, Bloom forgot about her healing powers of the Dragon Flame and her Strength of Life; sure they wouldn't have worked in this condition, but she should've at least used them to try and help Nabu.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Nabu using up all his magic to close the dark abyss to save the Earth Fairies.
- Hope Spot: After Nabu dies, Bloom reminds Aisha that they still have the last gift of destiny which can be used to bring Nabu back. Unfortunatly, when Aisha summons it, Ogron steals it and wastes it on a wilted flower. This directly leads to Aisha's temporary Face–Heel Turn.
- Killed Mid-Sentence: As Nabu is about to kill Duman after learning of the dark wizards' true motives, Duman panics and attempts to bargain with Nabu to spare his life, but Nabu ignores him and finishes him off.
- Kick the Dog: Ogron wasting the final Gift of Destiny on a flower is what enrages Aisha to the point she leaves the Winx and joins Nebula on her quest for revenge.
- Killed Off for Real: Nabu. No matter what the Dreamin' in My Way music video from the Winx Club in Concert musical video, the Magical Adventure movie, or the fans may say/want, he's gone.
- Manly Tears: All the Specialists after seeing one of their own die right before them. Sky in particular fell to his knees in despair.
- Never Say "Die":
- Despite everything else in the scene suggesting he died, Morgana promises to look after Nabu "until he wakes up", which lead many fans to theorize that Nabu was in some sort of coma.
- Earlier, there's also Sky telling the remaining three Wizards of the Black Circle that "Duman has been defeated" when the Specialists show up to help the Winx save the Earth Fairies.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: If Duman had kept his mouth shut the wizards would have won.
- Oh, Crap!: Bloom when Ogron steals the black gift.
- Please, Don't Leave Me: As Aisha holds the dying Nabu in her arms, she begs him not to leave her.
- Power Incontinence: Duman loses control of his shapeshifting powers, which almost kills him. However, Nabu destroyed Duman before that could happen.
- Unusually Uninteresting Sight: The pizza delivery guy at the beginning of the episode doesn't seem to find anything unusual with a rabbit ordering and paying for seven pizzas.
- Wasteful Wishing: Right when Aisha calls upon the Black Gift to save Nabu from death, Ogron catches it and uses it on a dying flower.
- Wham Episode: Duman has been destroyed, Nabu sacrificing himself in the process.
