This episode includes examples of:

  • And Then What?: Xander questions what the Master would even gain from destroying their world. The Master proceeds to show them the world he will create once they are gone: a dark place where the Rangers and all humans will become nothing more than part of the dust he walks upon.
  • Back from the Dead: Necrolai revived Itassis for the kindness she had shown her. Leelee convinces her to do the same for Daggeron and Leanbow. It works on Jenji, too, though the experience transforms Necrolai into a human appearance. The final scene at the store also reveals Matoombo has been revived.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For:
    • When Nick demands to know where Daggeron and Leanbow are, the Master teleports their lifeless bodies in front of the Rangers.
    • During the final battle:
      The Master: Give me that magic!
      Rangers: You got it!
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Why Necrolai revives Itassis.
  • Berserk Button: Black Lance says Nick will fall just like his mother has, Black Lance was of course lying with the intention of enraging Nick, it goes without saying that Black lance succeeded.
  • Big Damn Heroes:
    • As the Master prepares to finish the powerless Rangers, his tentacles are deflected by Claire and Snow Prince.
    • As the heroes prepare to face the Master without magic, the Mystic Mother says they're never without magic and just need to know where to look. Cue Toby and Phineas arriving with civilians from their respective worlds to join the fight.
  • Book Ends: Nick began the series riding into Briarwood. The last we see of him is riding out, only now with his mother and father.
    • In her first appearance, Clare had a lot of difficulty with an invisibility spell. Here, she effortlessly performs it successfully
    • As in the first episode, Nick and Madison have a conversation in front of Rock Porium about him leaving town, but this time, he indicates he'll be coming back.
  • Bring It: Black Lance to Nick.
  • Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu: During the confrontation in the cave, Nick manages to break the Master's armor and return everyone to the real world, but this used up the last of their magic. Luckily, help is not far behind.
  • But Now I Must Go: Nick, though he's coming back. He says he's got a lot to catch his adopted parents up on.
  • Clap Your Hands If You Believe: The entire city's belief in magic is used as a Combined Energy Attack.
  • Crowd Chant: As everyone join hands:
    Phineas: Let's show 'im!
    Toby: Together!
    Jenji: All right!
    Crowd: Together! We believe in magic!
    ["Magic" echoes, as the Rangers' powers are restored]
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Nick pummels Black Lance with an assist from Fireheart. He then invites the other Rangers to join in, and they oblige.
    • The Rangers' Megazord doesn't stand a chance against the Master.
  • Dance Party Ending: Nick's left, with his parents, but most of the rest of the cast ends up closing things out this way.
  • Darkest Hour: The Rangers on their own against the Master.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Nick starts to cross it after seeing what's become of Daggeron and Leanbow. He crosses it fully after they lose a Megazord fight.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: The world is saved, normal humans and magical beings live together in peace, Nick gets to spend quality time with his parents, Madison admits her feelings for him, Leelee is reunited with her mother, Xander gets promoted, Chip gains newfound popularity, Claire becomes a full sorceress, Phineas gets his job back, and the remaining Terrors are redeemed.
  • "Hell, Yes!" Moment: The crowd when the Rangers' powers are restored.
  • Hope Spot: The Rangers' victory against Black Lance is immediately followed by the Master appearing in the sky.
  • The Lady's Favour: Gender inverted with Nick and Madison; it also avoids the Try Not to Die part by happening after the battle.
  • Lovable Coward: When the Master comes back, Jenji suggests everyone start running. He does stay when the others decide to, though.
  • Memento MacGuffin: Nick asks Madison to hold on to his old baby blanket until he gets back to town.
  • Run or Die: With all of their magic used up, the Rangers and their allies are faced with this.
    Nick: I'm through running. I found my real family. I found my home. No more running. Stay and fight!
    Everyone else: Yeah!
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: After Nick pulls it together and stands up to the Master in the cave.
    The Master: You are only one.
    Nick: And unfortunately for you, the wrong one.
  • Tender Tears: Itassis asks Udonna why she is crying, and she says it is over what happened to Leanbow and Daggeron.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Nick is called out by his teammates when he decides to give up, after being Curb Stomped by the Master and watching his dad's murder. It didn't help that they had to pry it out of him since, when asked, he didn't even bother to give them a clear answer.
