Narrator: Gira was saved from disaster by the lordly king of Toufu, Kaguragi Dybowski.
However, that turned out to be a ruse by Kaguragi, and Gira was placed under arrest by the king of Gokkan, Rita Kaniska!
...Or so the story goes.

Thanks to Kaguragi's duplicity, Gira has now been imprisoned in the kingdom of Gokkan by their king and chief justice, Rita Kaniska. Now under trial for high treason, he tries to prove his innocence, but the resolute judge refuses to hear his pleas. Gira finds himself resigned to his fate as he languishes in the frozen prison.

Dissatisfied with the lack of evidence against Gira, Rita decides to investigate further into his actions within the other kingdoms to make a final judgement. As the investigation comes to a close, the trial of Gira comes to an unexpected ending...

Tropes

  • Absence of Evidence: There's no evidence of rainbow jujurira existing with general records, but the name itself and where it came from is one of the few pieces connecting Gira to royalty.
  • Badass Creed: Rita delivers one when Racules threatens to invade Gokkan at Gira's not guilty verdict:
"The law is a spear that slays kings, and a shield that protects the people. That is why Gokkan stands resolute! The earth may shatter, and the heavens may fall... but I, Rita Kaniska, shall not waver! If I say he is innocent, then he is innocent!" (slams OhgerCalibur three times)
  • Bitch Slap: Rita lays one on Racules to obtain a DNA sample.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Befitting the episode's focus on the kingdom of law and order, there are plenty of these.
    • Rita's Bitch Slap towards Racules was initially presented as their awkward way of killing a mosquito. Turns out that they were getting a DNA sample for Himeno.
    • The hair that Morphonia plucked from Gira for no real reason was actually used as another sample to connect him to Racules.
    • The children Gira befriended on his tour around Tikyū all vouch for his character, bolstering his innocence.
    • Rita reveals that Gira's Trademark Favorite Food, rainbow jujurira, is not mentioned within general historical records. However, there was single instance of the delicacy within the records of the Caucasus Kabuto castle, allowing them to deduce that Gira is actually royalty.
  • Flashback: The episode shows Racules in his younger years doting on his younger brother as he eats rainbow jujurira — that boy being Gira.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: A much larger view of the Legend King-Ohger's inscriptions is shown, and Shugoddam's royal palace is depicted below the four Greater Shugods, implying a connection to the legends and potentially the castle itself being a Shugod.
  • Hidden Depths: Rita loves yeti plushies, using them to decompress from the day's events. They even roleplay a conversation with the giant Moffun to figure out what to do with Gira.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is one to the very first episode of Game of Thrones.
  • The Reveal: Gira is Racules' younger brother, and thus a legitimate heir to Shugoddam's throne. This fact was forgotten by Gira for some reason.
  • Rookie Red Ranger: Gira's status as one is underscored when Yanma and Rita kick him aside as they and the others prepare to transform.
  • Skyward Scream: Rita does this three times when things did not go how she expected them: once when Yanma refuses to support the notion that Gira is a criminal and instead raises the possibility that the latter may be of royal blood, once after being contacted by Himeno regarding Gira and Racules' confirmed positive connection by blood, and once more after getting accidentally blasted by God Kabuto.
  • Spit Take: Rita's Skyward Scream causes Yanma to spit out his drink.
  • Stab the Scorpion: Rita slaps Racules, only to rationalize herself by saying there was a mosquito on him. Though, it's a ruse to get his DNA sample.
  • Theme Song Power Up: "Zenryoku King" starts playing during the mech fight.
  • This Cannot Be!: Racules is taken aback by Rita's "innocent" verdict on Gira, even raising all of his apparent "crimes" to no avail. Rita refutes them with testimonies from the children that Gira met to prove his benevolence.
  • Title-Only Opening: The opening credits is once again absent after two episodes.
  • Wham Episode: Turns out Gira is actually Racules' brother and a legitimate heir to the throne, explaining how he was able to wield the OhgerCalibur. With the team now united, Gira makes plans to usurp the throne from his brother. Meanwhile, the Bognaarok have obtained one of the three Greater Shugods, God Scorpion.
  • Wham Line: When Rita explains one of their reasonings for Gira's sentence, they reveals his true origin to further prove his innocence.
Rita: This man's true name is Gira Hastie, Racules' younger brother and a prince of Shugoddam.
  • Wham Shot: The Ziburn Castle's interior show three distinct holes, with Morphonia looking gravely injured from the Bognaarok's attacks. This leads Rita to realize that there was a treasure hidden beneath Ziburn, and it is now in the hands of the Bognaarok.
