Year produced: 2005

Production code: 212a

Original U.S. air date: 9/9/2005

After premiering on her first cover story on the Tremorton Tattler, Jenny is greeted by a self-proclaimed toymaker by the name of Mr. G. Petto, who makes a deal with Jenny to create a toy brand line of dolls based on her resemblance. These "Action Jenny Dolls," as they are called, sell like hotcakes and Jenny is taken in by the fame. However, it soon is revealed that these innocent dolls are actually one of Vexus' plans to conquer the world!

Tropes:

  • Creepy Doll: The Action Jenny dolls start off cute, but turn into creepy homicidal maniacs when they’re switched over to evil mode.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: Jenny must choose between the fame of having her own toy line and loyalty to her friends.
  • Literal Metaphor: When Jenny shuns her friends, Tuck holds his hand up to his head saying, “I feel about this tall.” Brad replies, “You are that tall.”
  • The Man Behind the Man: It’s revealed that G. Petto (really Krackus in disguise) is actually being guided into his evil plan by Vexus.
  • Shout-Out: The toymaker’s name, G. Petto, is a play on Gepetto from Pinocchio - the toymaker who made the titular puppet.
  • Stating the Simple Solution: When Brad and Tuck are trying to disable the Action Jenny dolls, they come across a computer with a blatant switch that triggers their hostility. However, Brad refused to believe it really is that simple, and sat on the decision to flick it off until after a brief montage where Tuck gives the rundown on the history of the Villain Ball. Meanwhile, Jenny is outside getting swarmed by the endless amount of dolls.
  • Trash Landing: After not being allowed to talk to Jenny at her meet and greet, Tuck gets thrown into the dumpster outside by a security guard.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: This is what Jenny and Tuck first think is the case with the Action Jenny dolls, until they find out that it was G. Petto’s plan to turn them evil all along.
  • Zerg Rush: The Action Jenny dolls may be much smaller and more limiting compared to the real thing, but they also exist by the millions. Their combined might is enough to put even Jenny on the backfoot.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Troubles

Year produced: 2005

Original U.S. air date: 9/9/2005

Due to internal disputes, the Teen Team has broken up. With no place left to go, Misty heads back to Earth to spend time with Jenny. Misty's appearance in school, however, earns her teasing from Brit and Tiff. Scorned, Misty convinces Jenny to get back at the Crusts via a prank war. The only problem, however, is that once Misty gets started on something, she doesn't know when to stop. She soon becomes mad with power, and Jenny must convince her pal that enough is enough before things get too serious.

Tropes:

  • Accidental Public Confession: Misty got herself expelled from school by boasting about all the pranks and trauma she inflicted on the Crust Cousins. Conveniently, she leaves Jenny's name out of her rant...
  • Bunny Ears Picture Prank: In their Good-Times Montage, a picture is shown of Jenny and Misty giving each other bunny ears (which Jenny using her extendo-fingers to do it).
  • Escalating Prank War: Misty convinces Jenny to start a prank war with Brit and Tiff, with the jokes starting off mild and escalating into cruelty.
  • Fate Worse than Death: Misty was more than willing to inflict this on Britt and Tiff, partially in Jenny's stead, but mostly to cement herself as the showrunner of Tremorton High.
  • Faux Horrific: After Jenny and Misty inflict them with their first two biggest fears, spiders and heights, the Crust Cousins come face to face with their third and most horrific fear - nerds who have crushes on them.
  • Giant Spider: Jenny and Misty pretend to be huge spiders in order to act out Tiff’s biggest fear.
  • Good-Times Montage: One of Jenny and Misty enjoying some good old fashioned girl time together.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Brad points out how heroes should never use their powers for personal gain or revenge. He then asks Jenny to use her abilities to superglue Tuck's toys to the ceiling in retaliation for a prank he pulled on him.
  • "Kick Me" Prank: Jenny and Misty get into a series of conflicts with the Crust Cousins. At one point, the two pairs repeatedly put signs with "Kick Me"-type messages on each other's backs.
  • Literal Metaphor: Jenny tells Brad that she and Misty are “opening up to each other,” after which she actually opens up her torso and shows her mechanical insides.
  • Not What I Signed on For: Jenny agreed to Misty's plan to get revenge on the Crust Cousins, and after a particularly nasty prank exploiting their deepest fears, she finally gets all the respect she ever wanted from the school. But realizing that her fellow classmates fear her just as much as they did Brit and Tiff, she wants out and tries to stop Misty from sending Britt and Tiff into comatose shock.
  • Offscreen Breakup: The Teen Team broke up sometime in between this and Misty's debut episode, supposedly because Orion wanted to join a ballet group.
  • Parody Name: To Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, obviously.
  • Rube Goldberg Machine: Brit and Tiff make a convoluted machine to prank Jenny and Misty, but are accosted by giant spiders before they’re able to use it.
  • Sequel Episode: To "Teen Team Time."
  • Shout-Out: The title is pretty obviously derived from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
  • Status Quo Is God: In order for Jenny to go back to her status quo of being an outcast at school with only her neighbors as her best friends, Misty gets expelled at the end of the episode for all the trouble she caused.
  • Split-Screen Phone Call: One between Jenny and Misty, despite the two of them being in the same room.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: Not only does Misty talk Jenny into participating in the prank war, she keeps upping the ante with each prank and won’t stop until the Crust Cousins are completely destroyed.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Brit and Tiff call Jenny a sap for trying to save them, even acknowledging it before doing so.
