Ah, puberty.... such a beautiful thing, isn't it?

The one where Jenny becomes a monster.

Jenny develops bolt zits, wires under her arms, a deeper voice, and mood swings. Brad chalks it up to "puberty" until it is revealed that Queen Vexus of the Cluster infected her with a nanobot virus that will turn Jenny into a loyal Cluster-controlled monster.

"Hostile Makeover" contains examples of:

  • An Aesop: You don’t have to look perfect for picture day.
    • Keep track of your health. If something feels wrong, do something about it or go to the doctor.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: After Jenny is turned into a raging behemoth by a Cluster parasite she contracted fighting Vexus, she hears Tuck's familiar scream of terror and we're shown a flashback of him screaming at being stuck on a stalled Ferris wheel, being in the alien ship with Brad, and Neapolitan ice cream.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Jenny when the Nanobot fully transforms her. Nora and Tuck need to attach jumper cables to Jenny and complete the circuit by attaching another set to a fuse box to short-circuit the Nanobot in order for them to remove it. Tuck is too short to reach the fuse box by the time he gets there and is captured by Vexus, at which point he tosses the cables to Brad. When Jenny hears Tuck's scream, Heroic Willpower kicks in, leaving her distracted long enough for Nora and Brad to apply the electric jolt needed to short-circuit the Nanobot.
  • Brown Bag Mask: Jenny hides under a paper bag when she gets robo-pimples.
Jenny: "Great, now I'll have to wear this bag on my head forever! And it smells like fish tacos!"
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: Puberty is all over the place in this episode. Jenny grows bolts all over her face which it resembles pimples, her chest grows larger which resembles breast growth, and her voice becomes deeper as well.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: After Nora, Tuck and Brad successfully short-circuit the Nanobot and remove it from Jenny's body, Vexus considers harming Tuck after trying to prevent him from installing the jumper cables onto the fuse box. Jenny, however, responds with threatening to destroy the Nanobot, to which the Nanobot cries "Mama!". Jenny gives back the Nanobot and Vexus agrees to let Tuck go before departing.
  • Fan Disservice: The normally cute-looking Jenny transforms into an extremely hideous monster version of herself. All thanks to the bug Vexus put in her.
  • Idiot Ball: Both Jenny and Brad think that Jenny’s physical changes are the resulting puberty. Even though Jenny is a ROBOT!
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: When the Nanobot fully transforms Jenny, Brad tries this knowing she'd never hurt her best buddy. Nora also tries this when she threatens to ground Jenny when she tries using the jumper cables to short-circuit the Nanobot. Only Tuck succeeds when Vexus captures him to prevent him from attaching the cables to the fuse box.
  • Kid Has a Point: Tuck correctly guessed Jenny had a virus growing in her stomach.
  • Picture Day: Jenny breaks out in pimple-like bolts on school picture day, as a side effect of what turns out to be a Cluster device trying to take over her body.
  • Properly Paranoid: Although Brad dismisses it, Tuck perfectly picks out the possibility of the viral transformation being inflicted upon Jenny. Tuck does act on said paranoia anyway by going to get Dr. Wakeman, at which point Tuck is able to smugly tell Brad that he told him so.
  • The Cloud Cuckoo Lander Was Right: Tuck was right all along about the bug in Jenny’s stomach.
  • Vocal Dissonance: As part of her virus transition, Jenny's voice vocoder malfunctions, giving her a deeper voice.
  • You Are Grounded!: Subverted, Nora threatens Jenny with grounding her in an attempt to get her to be still for the electric jolt.

Go, Jenny!

The one where Jenny plays football.

Jenny becomes the star football player of the high school football team by somehow replacing the original quarterback. Can she lead Tremorton to glory, or will she wind up reduced to scrap?

"Grid Iron Glory" contains examples of:

  • The Ace: Jenny once she gets the Quarterback position. It is difficult to counter a walking Swiss-Army Weapon after all.
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Poly Tech's players have really advance mech-suits, but they were only able to get so far thanks to Jacques' live feed during each play. They get utterly humiliated by Jenny once he was cut off.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Any team that goes against the Tremorton Quakers is no match for Jenny and everything she brings to the table. Then this gets reversed with the unexpected synergy of Poly Tech. Then that gets reversed once their communication system is sabotaged with Jenny winning the game.
  • Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Jacques, who used to be the Quaker's star quarterback before he was replaced by Jenny in her first game. He comes back as the final opponent leading the Poly Tech team.
  • Voice with an Internet Connection: Jacques, the coach for Poly Tech's football team, uses a radio system to give his players live information during play, explaining how they were able to steamroll Jenny so badly in the beginning of the match. Brad is the first to notice this, which then prompts Jenny to take out his headset and cripple his team's dynamic.
