A close friend of Daffy and Porky is taken to their final resting place.

Tropes:

  • Alliterative Title: "Graveyard Goofs".
  • Bait-and-Switch: Daffy leads Porky to believe that they're taking the coffin to the cemetery in order to bury a once-living being that was Daffy's best friend. In the end, it turns out to be his old TV in the coffin and Daffy was mourning the fact that its picture had gone out after so many years of use.
Daffy: It's so unfair! We spent all our time together! He was always there for me. He always lit up the room, the ultimate entertainer.
  • Banana Peel: Because Daffy can't think of a plan on an empty stomach, he pulls out a banana and eats it, throwing the peel behind him. One of the skeletons then slips on it, crashing to the ground and falling apart.
    • Daffy also ends up slipping on it himself later.
  • Bedsheet Ghost: Every spot Daffy and Porky try to put the coffin in at the graveyard ends up already being occupied by one of these.
  • Bowled Over: The skeleton that slips on Daffy's banana peel loses its head which then crashes into the rest of the skeletons (complete with bowling alley sound effects) whose bones fall to the ground and spell out, "Eat at Joe's."
  • Creepy Cemetery: Daffy and Porky break into a cemetery at night to bury Daffy's "best friend."
  • Dem Bones: Daffy and Porky are chased through a graveyard by a group of spooky skeletons.
  • Disaster Dominoes: After reassuring Porky that they're "not going to touch a thing," Daffy accidentally pushes over the coffin they were carrying which knocks down a long line of gravestones that fall like dominoes. When the gravestones finally stop, the final one to fall pushes the top off of a tomb and releases a bunch of dancing skeletons.
  • Grim Reaper: The Grim Reaper is the final creepy creature that scares Daffy and Porky in the cemetery, but he ends up actually being a pretty nice guy.
  • Ironic Fear: The Grim Reaper is revealed to hate scary movies.

Hex Appeal

Witch Hazel runs after an ingredient that's needed for her spell.

Tropes:

  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: Some of the other potions sitting on Witch Hazel's shelf include "Hextra Strength" and "Toadstool Softener."
  • Giant Spider: After falling into a jar of Growth Potion, the spider Witch Hazel wanted to use for a spell grows to giant proportions.
  • Informed Attractiveness: Witch Hazel is worried that her bad looks have begun to slip and even goes so far as to call herself "drop-dead gorgeous," but to the audience she looks just as hideous as ever.
  • Mirror-Cracking Ugly: After getting beat up by the giant spider, Witch Hazel looks so ugly that it actually breaks her mirror - which is exactly what she wanted!
  • People Puppets: The spider turns Witch Hazel into one when she gets caught in its web and it realizes it can control her movements.
  • Pun-Based Title: "Hex Appeal" is a play on "sex appeal."

Inn for Trouble

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2023_10_21_65243_pm.png

Sylvester visits a suspicious motel.

Tropes:

  • 13 Is Unlucky: Porky and Sylvester stay in room number 13.
  • Embarrassing Damp Sheets: Sylvester throws a bucket of ice at Kookoo to get him out of his and Porky's motel room and though it does work, it leaves a puddle of water around Sylvester. When Porky wakes up, he looks at the damp spot and thinks Sylvester wet the bed.
  • Enemy Rising Behind: The escaped convict running the motel they're staying at looms behind Porky with a butcher's knife raised above his head. Porky, of course, is oblivious.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Porky manages to miss every creepy thing happening at the Catskill Motel, no matter how hard Sylvester tries to get him to notice.
  • Faux Horrific: It seems like Porky has finally come to realize how creepy the motel is when Kookoo lodges a butcher's knife in the desk that's right behind him. Instead however, Porky is horrified by a sign that says "No Complimentary Breakfast" and that's what finally gets him to leave.
  • Not What It Looks Like: Alabaster "Kookoo" Kirwan, the escaped killer hunting Porky and Sylvester in "Inn for Trouble," climbs through the air vent and starts dropping knives down onto Porky. Luckily, Sylvester catches them; but when Porky wakes up, he finds Sylvester standing over him suspiciously holding an armful of sharp objects.
  • Pun-Based Title: "Inn for Trouble" is a play on the phrase, "in for trouble" and "inn," another word for a motel.

Mummy Dummy

Bugs comes across a mummy.

Tropes:

  • Family-Unfriendly Violence: When the mummy finally catches Bugs, he breaks all of his bones as the bunny shrieks in pain and then leaves him in a crumpled heap on the floor.
  • Mummy: Bugs, thinking an ancient pyramid is a Vegas hotel, inadvertently wakes a mummy and provokes its wrath.
  • Rhyming Title
