The countdown to the desolate future that Kento witnessed is depleting fast as Master Logos, real name Issac, reveals himself. With the new book in hand, Issac still has enough power to mop the floor with everyone. Touma and Rintaro learn that Kento intends to trap Issac with Kurayami, while Bahato appears before Master Logos for some reason. Also, Ren challenges Touma to a duel. What will become of everyone, especially Kento?

Episode Tropes:

  • Advice Backfire: Mei's attempts to explain Humanity's growth to Bahato reference such helpful advancements like Instagram and friendship-stamps. She even tries to half-heartedly befriend him. He responds with a bored yawn.
  • Being Watched: It's revealed that a spiritual essence of some kind has been following Kento around for some time without his knowledge. After Touma prevents Kento from sacrificing himself, it too echoes Touma's sentiment of Screw Destiny.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: A calm Touma against a frustrated Ren. The former who spent the last two arcs gaining powerups and experience as a swordsman. No guesses who won that battle.
  • Death Seeker: Kento is dead set on this in this episode. If he can't let Touma sacrifice himself, then he might as well sacrifice his own life to save the world.
    • Bahato uses this as justification for not interfering. He already wants to Restart the World, so why stop Solomon?
  • Enemy Mine: Deconstructed. The fact that both Northern Base and the Shindais oppose Isaac does not necessarily mean they are allies, as Touma learns.
  • Fighting Your Friend: Invoked. Touma accepts Ren's challenge, believing that he was only able to understand the other swordsmen through clashing with them.
  • Ignored Epiphany: Touma tries to tell Ren that might doesn't always make right, but he ignores the message. While Touma mentioning Kento's reasons for fighting don't fully get through, Ren's expression indicates it struck some sort of chord.
  • Internal Reveal: The group learns from Yuri about the two possible futures Kento saw.
  • Might Makes Right: Deconstructed: Ren's "only the strong can save the day" mindset is brought down by Touma as he tells him that a desire to save the people you care about can bring out the best inside themselves. Unfortunately, Ren outright ignores the message.
  • Not So Invincible After All: Despite being stronger than everyone else, even Issac can't defend himself against Kento's sealing ritual. Then Touma appears...
  • Redemption Rejection: Yuri and Mei attempt to convince Bahato to help them save the world, but Mei's inability to convey any meaningful reason to just makes him madder.
  • Sadist: Issac tells Bahato that he would rather let the humans suffer in his presence than destroy the world right away.
  • Take a Third Option: Touma interferes with Kento's attempts to seal Issac away specifically to invoke this.
  • Taking You with Me: How Kento intends to defeat Issac once and for all. Overloading his darkness and sending both himself and Issac into the World of Darkness forever. However, Touma stops it before it goes any further.
  • Treachery Is a Special Kind of Evil: Ryoga's justification for not working with Touma and the others. Though Master Logos has fallen, Touma's team are still enemies of the guild. Touma outright calls him out on it.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: Yuri uses the powers of both Saikou and Kurayami to rescue Touma and the others after Touma undoes Kento's sealing ritual.
