Recap / Infinity Train: Boiling Point: The Origin Story Car

Go To

The Ruby Sulphur Trio go to a Car that will reveal Boscha's origin story, while Luz's group go to a brand new Isles to discover Willow's past.

  • Call-Back: Skara thanks Willow for her flute, after she asked her about it back in early Act 1.
  • Continuity Nod: In Melancholy Afterlife, Chloe mentioned how she was mad at how Goh and Ash practically left her high and dry to go to the Alola region and not inviting her (Because they assumed Professor Cerise bought her a ticket which he didn't) or listening to what she wanted. Goh admits that he and Ash were planning on another trip, this time bringing her with them, before the train came for Goh.
  • Fiery Salamander: After being referenced a couple times back in Act 1, this arc finally introduces the Salamanders, which are giant lizard creatures with third eyes and fire abilities that King accidentally gets the attention of.
  • Freak Out: Skara absolutely flips out after The Reveal and once she gets home.
  • Fusion Dance: Boscha is revealed to be the result of this; merging the Human-Witch baby she used to be and a golden Salamander to create a Heinz Hybrid between Human, Witch, and Salamander.
  • Gold-Colored Superiority: Among the Salamanders is revealed to be a golden one, which Azura uses to create the Heinz Hybrid known as Boscha.
  • Giant Corpse World: The Elemental Isles are a divided version, being a collection of
  • He's Back!: Boscha comes back to life after merging with Boa, taking her number with her.
  • Heroic BSoD: Goh finds Chloe in one of these as the weight of her running away, combined with the fact that she might be indirectly the cause of Mattholomeule's death, the chaos in Vermillion City and losing her most powerful weapons, not to mention finally leaving Specter behind, has crushed her.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: As Luz realizes to her horror, Willow is this regarding Boscha's current status, which doesn't bode well for the team.
  • Made a Slave: A glyph for this is confirmed, and its usage is revealed later: Shortly after Boscha became a Heinz Hybrid, Azura had Persephone brand her with a servitude glyph in order to ensure she wouldn't hurt Skara.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: King insisting on him joining Luz and others to go to the Elemental Isles is this.
  • Origin Story: The Origin Story Car is all about this, though it takes until the end before the Ruby Sulphur Trio get there.
  • Planimal: The villagers of the forest area have these as pets, with one of them sniffing Willow before its owner, the chieftain, grabs it.
  • Pinky Swear: Chloe and Goh make one to reinforce Chloe's promise that she and Goh are leaving the train together.
  • The Reveal: Goh admits that his static is now off, meaning he's able to start fighting his problems.
    • Willow's mother is not only still alive, but she's living in a fragmented Giant Corpse World known as the Elemental Isles.
    • Boscha was a Human-Witch hybrid before Azura interfered, giving her Salamander traits on top of it.
    • Boscha was Made a Slave for the Brae family shortly after becoming a Heinz Hybrid in order to ensure she wouldn't hurt Skara.
  • Shoot the Television: Luz shoots the recreated TV set when she grows tired of Azura's speech.
  • "Shut Up" Kiss: Skara gave one of these to Boscha back when the latter had driven everyone away from her, and the former stubbornly remained.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: Boscha discovers not only that she was never a full Witch, but a Human-Witch-Salamander mix, but that she was enslaved shortly after in order to ensure that she wouldn't become a danger to the Brae family, much less Skara.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Willow's mother, Meadow, gave up Boscha the salamander to Azura and gave Azura the means to create the Boscha Urodela we know today.
  • Wham Episode: This arc is essentially the "Cyan Desert" of Blossoming Traill. As such, where do we begin?
    • A new fragmented Giant Corpse World is revealed, and it's revealed Willow, her father, and Amirani came from there.
    • Willow's mother reveals the reason Willow was sent away was because she killed someone after they tried to take the flower in her hair.
    • Said flower was a Tragic Keepsake to remember Boscha, who she met earlier and spent some time with before Azura came to retrieve her.
    • Before that, Azura had a Witch and Human mate to try see if it was possible, but the end result was too weak, so she merged it with a golden Salamander.
    • Sometime after that, Azura went to Persephone and convinced her to brand Boscha with a servitude glyph so she could become a servant to the Brae family, making Skara double think everything she thought about her and Boscha's relationship.
