- "Don't be afraid to get dirt under your fingernails!"
Airdate: October 24, 2008
Cuddles plays a baseball game with his friends, but when he tries to get the ball back, he falls into a coffin. Buried six feet under, Cuddles has to do whatever it takes to escape.
"Can't Stop Coffin" contains the following:
- Blind Mistake: The Mole mistakes one of Cuddles' eyes for an apple.
- Buffy Speak: The Blurb notes that the truck Lumpy drives in this episode is the same one Lammy steals in "A Bit of a Pickle", "[e]xcept for these wooden side thingies".
- Buried Alive: Cuddles falls into a grave mid-burial.
- By the Lights of Their Eyes: From when Cuddles first falls into the coffin to when he lights a match, only his eyes are visible as he looks around.
- Downer Ending: Just when it seems like Cuddles' torture has finally ended, Lumpy's truck comes from above and crushes Cuddles alive.
- Drowning Pit: At one point, the coffin is completely filled with water and Cuddles nearly drowns.
- Eye Scream: While Cuddles is seemingly paralyzed by shock, the Mole tears out his one remaining eye by mistake.
- Fingore: Cuddles has his finger worn down to the bone after scratching the lid of a coffin.
- Furry Reminder: The Mole lives underground in this episode, just like real moles do.
- Had the Silly Thing in Reverse: After unknowingly burying Cuddles alive, Lumpy tries to drive away, only for his truck to turn out to be set in reverse and drive onto the newly filled grave. As Lumpy tries to get his truck out of the mud, the back tires send the gravestone flying (which crushes Cub when it lands), break through the coffin lid and mangle Cuddles's face, and finally push the whole coffin down into The Mole's underground home. And then soon after, the whole truck falls through The Mole's ceiling.
- Hope Spot: When the coffin starts to catch on fire with Cuddles still trapped inside, water from above sinks into the coffin and extinguishes the flames. Then too much water seeps in and Cuddles starts to drown. Then immediately right after that, Lumpy's car manages to break the coffin open, releasing the water and saving Cuddles' life... only for the tires of the car to shred the right side of his face.
- Idiot Houdini: Lumpy, who's the main, unaware instigator for the lot of Cuddles' misery.
- Mutilation Conga: Cuddles suffers through a particularly nasty one for the show.
- Shout-Out: The Blurb has two of them:
- The scene where Cuddles almost drowns in the coffin is, if the Blurb is to be believed, "[m]odeled after the Shelley Winters scene in The Poseidon Adventure".
- Apparently, The Mole thinks the TV show of the same name is about him.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Cub and Cuddles die.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Lumpy, The Mole, Pop, Russell, Cro-Marmot, and Toothy survive.
- Too Dumb to Live: While Lumpy is mainly responsible for the majority of his torment, it wasn't really smart of Cuddles to jump over a large fence without even seeing if there's a hole on the other side.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Just when Cuddles thinks he'll make it out okay, a new problem puts his life in danger.
