Craig sneaks into Xavier's house and challenges him to a winner-take-all game of Capture the Flag, just like the one that was had years ago.

Tropes:

  • 10-Minute Retirement: After King Xavier took over the Creek, Omar retired from being the Green Poncho after three summers and decides to use this time to catch up on the things he missed out on. When Craig comes to him to recruit him for Capture the Flag, he’s reluctant at first, but Craig is able to convince to return as the Green Poncho.
  • Absurdly High-Stakes Game: Craig challenges King Xavier to a game of Capture the Flag where if Craig's side wins then Xavier and his kingdom will stop terrorizing the Creek and if Xavier's side wins then Craig will leave the Creek forever.
  • All or Nothing: Craig's plan to save the Creek. Either his side wins and the Creek is freed from Xavier's cruelty, or Xavier wins and Craig leaves the Creek forever.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode ends just as Beth the Timekeeper is about to sound the start of the game.
  • Don't Wake the Sleeper: Craig threatens to turn up Xavier's sound system all the way up, waking up the neighborhood if he doesn't stand down and listen to what he has to say. Xavier initially believes he's bluffing, until Craig starts turning the volume up.
  • Easily Forgiven: Despite Bobby not backing him up during the vote and giving King Xavier his mom's phone number, Craig allows Bobby to help out in Capture the Flag when he regrets his mistakes.
  • Foreshadowing: Several things foreshadow Jason's status as The Mole for Craig's side:
    • Craig manages to sneak into Xavier's house to issue the challenge by hiding in a sleeping bag. A sleeping bag that would've had to have been brought into the house by someone who was invited in.
    • Early in the episode Xavier teases Jason about the abnormally large amount of stuff he's brought. His bag is definitely large enough for Craig to have hidden in.
    • When Xavier is once again chewing Maya out for not being there for him when the Sugar Swipers attacked, every other person in Xavier's elite circle has concerned/worried looks on their faces, except for Jason, who is playing a video game with a smile on his face.
    • When Craig emerges from the sleeping bag to confront Xavier, everyone BUT Jason has a surprised/angry look on their face. Jason's face is more neutral during the whole thing, and his facial expressions even show concern for Craig at times.
    • When the King makes everyone say something nice about him, The Blur does say something nice. Jason, on the other hand, says a thinly veiled insult, which Xavier takes as a compliment.
    • When Xavier orders the others to "get" Craig, Jason makes a play for the sleeping bag, but shouts "He's GONE" which causes the others to pause long enough for Craig to get away.
  • Given Name Reveal: Xavier name drops his champions as Keun Sup, Aggie, and Jackie.
  • Hypocrite: When Xavier chews Maya out for destroying the 10 Speeds' ramp instead of helping him fend off the Sugar Swipers, Maya counters with the fact that Xavier was the one who told her to destroy the ramp in the first place, but Xavier doesn't care.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Wren tells Craig that going to war with King Xavier with Capture the Flag is a highly illogical solution to their problem, but Craig points out she thought it was logical to allow Xavier to come to the other side despite his warnings. Wren admits it was a miscalculation.
  • The Mole: It's revealed Craig asked Jason to work undercover for King Xavier to gather intel on his forces, and that Jason was the one who gave the Sugar Swipers the location of Xavier's candy stashes.
  • Must Make Amends: Bobby really regrets betraying Craig for his Sweet Tooth and wants to make it up to him by helping him in Capture the Flag, which Craig allows.
Craig: Don't make it up to me. Make it up to the Creek.
  • Putting the Band Back Together: In order to get more kids to help with Capture the Flag, Craig goes to get all the kids who stopped coming to the Creek due to King Xavier's reign to help them out.
  • Stealing the Credit: Jason is about to win a game of Power Punchers when Xavier takes his controller to make the winning move and claim the victory for himself. For bonus points, if you pay attention to Jason and Blur’s trash talk, you’ll realize that Xavier actually lost.
  • Stealth Hi/Bye: Craig reveals himself at Xavier's sleepover emerging from inside a sleeping bag. After challenging him to Capture the Flag, Craig sinks back inside the bag; Xavier orders the others to get him, but when they open the bag, Craig is gone. He then makes his exit out the basement window after taunting Xavier one last time.
  • You Have Failed Me: Xavier once again reminds Maya that she wasn't there in time to stop the Sugar Swipers; again she complains that she couldn't because she was already following his orders to destroy the 10 Speeds' ramps, but Xavier makes it clear that he expects her to be there when he needs her, no matter what, and that he can always get a new BFF to replace her.
