And now, a trip down memory lane with an all-too familiar face and multi-challenge.

The twenty-eighth episode of Battle for BFDI, in which the Announcer returns after a 9-year absence. Leafy is eliminated, the rest of the eliminated contestants are released from the BRB, and the featured challenge is a combination of all of the previous Season 4 challenges.

Tropes include:

  • All the Worlds Are a Stage: The challenge in this episode is a combination of every previous challenge from the season.
  • Big "NO!": Leafy's reaction when she finds out she's been eliminated.
  • Buffy Speak: When he first encounters Announcer, Loser calls him a "gray box thing".
  • The Bus Came Back: The Announcer finally comes back to the show after 9 years of absence (almost a decade) and starts to take over the entire show.
    • The eliminated contestants come back from the BRB as well after being snapped free by X.
  • Covers Always Lie: The thumbnail for this episode depicts Leafy reaching for a totem, as the contest was to complete all the previous challenges from the show (the totems were from BFB 25). However, Leafy is eliminated before the contest and does not compete in it, but she is one of the contestants trapped in the jawbreakers.
  • Eat Dirt, Cheap: When Four merges with the earth, Gelatin eats some of the dirt (which is now blue), then chokes.
Gelatin: Guys... don't eat the dirt! It's not worth it...
  • Eject the Loser: Done by Announcer when Purple Face attempts to perform his rap intro for Cake at Stake.
  • Epic Fail: One mini-challenge is to guess which one is the real Balloony: Balloony, or Blocky in disguise. Gelatin picks the latter.
Balloony: Gelatin, I'd like to sit down with you for a good lunch, and ask you how you could POSSIBLY THINK THAT WAS THE CORRECT ANSWER!
  • Exact Words: Announcer is always changing his mind about his favorite number. At one point he says that he currently has a fascination with the number 362. Gelatin guesses it, but it is still not Announcer's favorite.
  • Facepalm: Done by Teardrop when she has to restart the challenge.
  • Fun with Acronyms: The title for this episode has fun with the acronym for the show's title.
  • Gratuitous Rap:
Welcome, everybody, to Cake at Stake.
After this ceremony, this alliance will break.
But you're not to worry, as the rest of you will be in the finals,
and that will mean the game will be in the finals.
  • Hostile Show Takeover: Announcer returns to take control of the show, and all the contestants run back to him instead of staying with Four.
  • Not So Above It All: When Purple Face attempts to do his rap intro for Cake at Stake, Announcer immediately kicks him out. He then performs his own rap intro, complete with breakdancing.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Announcer gives one to X:
X: Name one thing we did badly.
Announcer: You quit hosting for a round. 40 contestants quit the game. There is a purple nuisance that you can't get rid of. People keep interfering with the show. You even let one of them join the game. You've lost all control.
  • Rhyming with Itself: Lampshaded by Flower when Announcer performs his Cake at Stake rap:
Flower: Wait, did you just rhyme "finals" with "finals"?
  • Running Gagged: When Gelatin asks Announcer where Purple Face went, his answer is "IDK". Gelatin thinks that it's another box somewhere that he named after an acronym, but Announcer just doesn't know where Purple Face actually went this time.
  • Talking the Monster to Death: Announcer is only trying to get rid of Four for being a bad host, but ends up causing Four to merge with the earth.
  • Wham Episode: Announcer returns to take over the show, and a jealous Four merges with the earth, leaving poor X to worry if his co-host is ever coming back.
  • Wham Line:
    Announcer: Hey guys. I'm back.
