Alfred meets the Wanas, a family of black ducks who are fleeing from a country under apartheid, and gives them asylum in his house. However, Lispel discovers that Alfred is hiding illegal immigrants.

Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Lispel suddendly getting wrinkly from the wrong kind of water. - Blue-and-Orange Morality: For some reason Lispel believes that he can't sell the same information twice. He also insists on reporting his observations to Alfred despite the fact that Alfred obviously already knows, and actually becomes physically sick if he doesn't get to report.
- Card-Carrying Villain: Lispel talks about how mean he is.
- Series Continuity Error: Lispel can somehow spy into Alfred's living room through the window next to the door, despite the fact that the window in question had previously been established as opening into Alfred's bedroom.
- Corpse Land: Only two, but very heavily hinted dead black ducks are seen lying on the ground during Kwa's flashback.
- Deliberately Monochrome: Kwa's flashbacks when he tells Alfred Atrique's history. The non-dark flashbacks Kwa later has while recalling his people's folk music, on the other hand, are in full color.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: The female bird who sits in Alfred's section in the train is the same woman whom Alfred showed off his acrobatics to in episode 11.
- Furry Baldness: Kwa Wana has afro hair on the sides and back, but the top and front of his head are hairless.

- Alfred's passport comes out of nowhere when he shows it, and then dissappears when he gets it back.
- Later Alfred seems to pull the money he gives Lispel out of nowhere, and Lispel also puts it in some weird unseeable place. He pulls them underneath him, implying either Ass Shove of putting them in his mouth (octopus mouth is down there).
- Dub Name Change
- In the finnish dub, the duck woman from the beginning is named Lilli
- In the same dub, Winnie Wana's name is Iiris Wana (or Iris?)
- Atrique is named "Etelä-Atriikki" ("South Atrique") in the finnish dub, propably to make reference to South Africa even more apparent.
- Insane Troll Logic: If Lispel sells information to Alfred, he can't sell it to anybody else. Both Alfred andLispel act if this was the obvious conclusion.
- No Name Given: Kwa Wana's wife Blanche is never named in the finnish dub.
- She's Not My Girlfriend: A variation. Alfred insists to Ollie that he didn't have a crush on the duck woman in the beginning.
- Police Brutality: In the flashbacks during Kwa's narration, the white geese's army and police are repeatedly shown attacking the black ducks.
- Non-Mammal Mammaries: Blanche Wana has breasts.
- Reprise: Alfred's and Winnie's scenes near the end of the episode reuse Johan and Anna Kwak's love song from the first episode.
- They Call Me MISTER Tibbs!:
- Lispel demands that his chauffeur address him as "sir", even in the finnish dub which is a language without any equivalent of the idea of calling people "sir"note .
- Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: Winnie wears a bow, hair band, neck rings, and earrings and has eyelashes (in this case the hair propably doesn't count since all black ducks seem to have it).
- Love at First Sight: As the title suggests. Alfred gets a crush on Winnie the moment he notices her in the train.
- Vague Age: Tom. He's clearly still a child and carries around a doll, but comparing his size to Alfred now and Alfred in his youth suggests that he can't be very young.note
