In this franchise, we got to see quite a few villains that cross the line.

  • Jurassic Park:
    • Gennaro crosses it by ditching Lex and Tim to get killed by the T. rex. It is certainly meaningful that he himself eventually falls victim to the same creature he tried to avoid.
    • Nedry definitely loses any audience sympathy when he endangers the guests of Jurassic Park by shutting down the park's security in order to steal the dinosaur embryos for profit. His death at the claws of the Dilophosaurus was well-deserved.
  • Jurassic World:
    • Dr. Wu intentionally making the Indominus rex a Living Weapon and a Sociopath, hoping she'd break loose and give him and Hoskins a chance to test the Raptors and her for potential military applications. Every bad thing that happens in the film is his fault.
    • In the franchise's sole case where a dinosaur is this trope, the Indominus rex crosses it by brutally murdering the gentle Apatosaurus and leaving them to die in agony simply for sport.
  • Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom:
    • Already planning to sell the dinosaurs as weapons of war, Eli Mills crosses the line when not only he killed Lockwood when the latter protested, he also allows the sale for the Indoraptor, a highly intelligent and unstable killing machine who could kill many people if let out of contanmient.
    • Wheatley crosses it when he betrays Owen and the rest, before leaving them behind on the island to die from the erupting volcano. He may also have crossed it again when he painfully extracts the teeth of every dinosaur he's captured as personal trophies.

Comic Books

  • Jurassic Park: Redemption: Peter Ludlow and Lewis Dodgson both cross it when they reveal their plans to let dinosaurs rampage across cities and frame it all on Peter's nephew Tim. Ludlow goes a step further when he sadistically points out that Tim's siter Lex will be one of the many victims.

Western Animation

  • Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous: Mitch and Tiff cross it when they reveal their plans to hunt and kill dinosaurs on Isla Nublar. Tiffany goes even further by leaving Mitch to get eaten by Rexy.

How well does it match the trope?
