Chaos Squad is a Science Fiction novel written by Delenn Jadzia and published in 2016. The book follows Vera "Jupiter" Hutch as she commands a squadron of teen soldiers following the Earth's entrance into an intergalactic war against a feared alien race called the X. When the X disappear from the front line and the war is placed on hold, the squadron is suddenly thrust back into an almost-civilian life after years in the military. On top of this, the girls are as clueless as the rest of the world as to why the X vanished and why they took eight-year-old war messenger Kara Ruben with them.
The novel straddles the line between science-fiction, military fiction, and LGBT fiction with several female characters in relationships with other female characters, and one character who is identified as transgender MTF.
