"Love you, gonna take you..."

Just like Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live, King of Prism has rainbows and "Pride." The Audience Shift has also led the producers to be more explicit about said relationships as well.

Due to wiki policy, there may be unmarked spoilers.

Koji/Hiro

In general: Koji is an Official Couple with Ito (and not without struggle either — they had to go through a lot to finally be together), but his interactions with Hiro would make one think otherwise, especially since Ito barely shows up in the films. It's even to the point where they're considered the Fan-Preferred Couple.

  • In King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm, Hiro is very torn up about Koji leaving to work in Hollywood, so much that he chases after the train Koji rides on during their Prism Jump, Starlight Express.
  • Hiro goes through a Heroic BSoD after Koji refuses to help him during the Prism King Cup and defeats him in a Prism Show Battle. During the montage where Hiro walks down the streets pathetically, a version of him singing "Reboot", Koji's Image Song, is playing in the background, while both of them are depicted crying.

Shin/Louis

In general: Louis and Shin have a lot of interactions that are overtly romantic, like Louis hugging Shin during their second meeting dramatically. However, it turns into actual Homoerotic Subtext in Pride the Hero, where Louis fully admits that he is in love with Shin. Shiny Seven Stars later reveals that Louis is actually a new male-type Prism Messenger with Rinne's data and memories, and his true form is depicted as her, leaving fans to question if this counts as Ho Yay since his real identity is a girl.

  • Their "Crazy Gonna Crazy" Prism Show in Pride the Hero ends with a Big Damn Kiss and Love Confession from Louis while the two of them are naked.
  • In Prism Rush! Live, a lot of Louis' inner monologues in his events mostly have to do with him longing for Shin and wanting to be around him. Too bad Shin is Oblivious to Love
  • Louis has a song called "Lunatic Destiny" where he sings about longing for a person for 1000 years. Note that this isn't coincidental to the times Louis has told Shin that he "crossed 1000 years" to see him again, and the song was performed directly after he realizes that he's in love with Shin instead of Shine. During his last Prism Jump, "Can't Stop Fall in Heaven", he faces an Imagine Spot of Shin. After the performance, even though Shin is Oblivious to Love, he's pretty moved, given his stunned expression and blush.
  • There's a wedding event in Pride Rush! Live which unlocks a song by Louis titled "Silent Promise." The song is basically about the wedding day, and since Shin played the groom while Louis played the bride, it's not hard to imagine that the song is directed towards Shin as well. Even better, Animate is selling a version with Shin and Louis performing a duet of the song with the limited version of the Shiny Seven Stars home release.
  • There's a business event in Pride Rush! Live where Shin plays a salaryman in a drama, and Louis plays his fiancee. In the drama, Louis' character gets upset and suspects that Shin's character is having an affair with the secretary (played by Leo).
  • Louis goes on a outing with Shin in Shiny Seven Stars that is so obviously a date, and his song that plays throughout the sequence, "Moonshine", is about how he wants to stay with Shin forever. He then uses this as the inspiration for his Prism Show at the Prism 1, where he monologues about how he's fallen in love with him. His Prism Jump, Dawn's Love Again, is basically him directing his affections towards Shin at the camera.
  • During the survey game at Rose Party 2018, Shin and Leo's voice actors bond over being history buffs, causing Masashi Igarashi (Minato's voice actor) to jokingly suggest that there's a connection between them. Cue Shouta Aoi (Louis' voice actor) running over and pretending to cut the imaginary string between them.
  • During the Rose Party 2018, the voice actors performed a skit where Shin has a dream that Leo, Louis, and Yukinojo are girls, while Taiga, Kakeru, Yu, and Minato have different personalities. Louis is the most popular girl in school and dotes on Shin after Leo hits him, complete with sexy music in the background. "She" then fights Leo over him.
  • The Swimming Tournament in Prism Rush! Live has a lot of moments. Louis perks up when he hears Prism Shows will be performed, and he becomes interested in joining if it means he'll see Shin again. He wants to pick a swimsuit he thinks Shin will like, and when he finds Shin shopping for swimsuits with his friends, he pines over him, hoping that Shin will notice his presence and ditch his friends to hang out with him. Louis helps Shin pick out a swimsuit, and he drops hints that he wants Shin to pick his.
    • During the actual tournament itself, Shin falls and gets hit by a dodgeball. Louis thinks that Shin took the fall for him and swoons.
  • The Prism Horror Show in Prism Rush! Live has Louis clinging onto Shin's arm under the excuse that they won't get separated. Later, when they get lost in the mansion, Louis realizes rather quickly that the Shin he's with is a ghost, but he doesn't resist the opportunity to take a bath with him. The dialogue when the real Shin finds them is rather suggestive, as Louis is moaning, "Ah, don't, Shin!" as they take a shower together.
  • The cover of part 4 of Shiny Seven Stars has Louis lying in Shin's lap.
  • The orchestra concert in 2019 was basically a wedding ceremony between the two. Shouta Aoi had arrived to the concert wearing a white dress train on his tuxedo while he and Junta Terashima sang "Silent Promise" (which, again, is about getting married), and Aoi had been wearing Shin's light-up ring.

Jin/Louis

In general: Louis and Jin get some Ship Tease in spite of the series affirming that Jin's attachment to Louis is largely because he reminds him of himself when he was younger.

  • The first scene they're seen together is when they're taking a bath, and Jin keeps showering praise at how beautiful Louis looks as he eyes his naked body.
  • In Pride the Hero, after Jin loses to Edel Rose, Louis is the one who comforts Jin with a Cooldown Hug while promising to stay by his side after June leaves him for Hijiri.
  • In Shiny Seven Stars, Louis can be seen giving a Cooldown Hug to Jin again when he freaks out, with Jin accepting the cuddle and softening up by cooing, "Louis, you're the only one who understands me."
  • In Joji's episode of Shiny Seven Stars, Louis latches onto Jin's arm at the end of the episode.
  • Also, in Louis' episode of Shiny Seven Stars, Jin freaks out and tends to Louis after he passes out once Shine is freed.
  • During episode 11 and 12 of Shiny Seven Stars, Jin is holding Louis gently. Louis recovers during Edel Rose's performance, to Jin's excitement, but when the Prism World tries to delete him, Jin is thrown into anguish when he tries to soothe Louis. In the end, Louis is saved, and Jin immediately hugs him.

Shin/Leo

In general: Leo is affectionate with Shin and also gets jealous when other people express romantic interest in him.

  • Leo is very physically affectionate with Shin and they even have a Meet Cute moment where Leo collapses on Shin during their first meeting.
  • In Pride the Hero, Leo becomes excited about Louis' Prism Show that the first thing he does is hug Shin tightly. Shin protests that their faces are too close.
  • Leo also becomes a male version of a Clingy Jealous Girl to Shin and gets annoyed when anyone shows a romantic interest in him. In the first episode of Shiny Seven Stars, he shoos away a group of Fan Girls trying to give Shin letters. In Louis' episode, he becomes suspicious when Shin receives a phone call from Louis and even sniffs him down to see if he "smells like a girl" when Shin returns home from their date.
  • In Leo's episode of Shiny Seven Stars, he says that things became livelier for him once Shin started attending Edel Rose.
  • During the Rose Party 2018, the voice actors performed a skit where Shin has a dream that Leo, Louis, and Yukinojo are girls, while Taiga, Kakeru, Yu, and Minato have different personalities. Leo says "she's" his Childhood Friend, but the way "she" gets jealous of Louis shows plenty about "her" one-sided crush on him, and they have a fight over him.
Leo: Hey, Kisaragi! Can you not talk to Shin so casually?
Louis: (looks offended but fakes a smile) I'm sorry.
Shin: Ah, Leo, you don't have to do that...
Leo: What's up with you, trying to cover for Kisaragi? Don't tell me you like her?
    Shin: Ah, I didn't mean—
Leo: What do you think of me?
Shin: What? That's... well... um, childhood friends, right?
Leo: Grrr... you idiot!! (punches him)

Alexander/Kazuki

  • Alexander is obsessed with his rivalry with Kazuki, and he shows no interest in anyone else except for him.
  • Alexander attempts to join the Miss Kakyoin Contest while crossdressing just because Kazuki did, only to back down at the last minute.

Kakeru/Taiga

  • Kakeru and Taiga are often paired off together when they hang out in groups. Kakeru also loves teasing Taiga.
  • In Pride the Hero, when Taiga manages to break Alexander's six pack, Kakeru swoons over Taiga with a blush, and he is so excited he kisses Shin on the cheek.

Taiga/Kazuki

  • Taiga admires Kazuki greatly. He blushes and goes teary-eyed at Kazuki's Prism Show in Pride the Hero, and when he tries to thank him in Shiny Seven Stars, the way the scene depicts it is very similar to a Love Confession.
