Main Series

  • The Stinger for "Something About Yoshi's Story" has Brown Yoshi getting released from prison, handsomely compensated for the wrongful conviction, and reunited with his family as his friends cheer for him.
  • In general, many have found the Christian Kirbo Running Gag this. Considering how common the God Is Evil trope is in modern media, it's nice to have something that portrays God as truly all-loving. These scenes are also incredibly popular in ways most other Christian-based movies could not reach.
  • As Samus enters the first room of Planet Zebes in Something About Super Metroid ANIMATED SPEEDRUN, the first two aliens she passes by happily smile at her, and one even waves at her.
    • She goes on an unstoppable tear through Zebes, all to get back the baby. When she finds it again, it's because it saved her from being stabbed in the back by a space pirate, now grown and calling her mama.
  • When the Great Fox crashes, Kirbo lands his Warp Star to check if everyone's okay. Luigi smiles when he sees Kirbo and pats him on the head.
  • When Luigi and Kirbo finally manage to exorcise the literal speed demon from Mario, Luigi is overjoyed to have his brother back and pulls him into a hug.
    • Earlier in the video, when the two go to petition Daisy for help, she says that given all Mario has done for them, it'd be their pleasure to help Luigi and Kirbo out.
    • After the Reset Button is used, everything is finally back to normal, and Mario no longer speedruns to do his duties, thanks to the Speed Demon's defeat. He just lets out a "Mama mia!" to the news that Bowser kidnapped Peach yet again and simply heads off to save her. No BLJ, no speedrunning tricks, nothing. Just the iconic hero the Mushroom Kingdom knows and loves. And Luigi is proud that his brother is the way he should be.
  • While Zero's initial warning to X about biting off more than he can chew is coming from a place of mockery, its revealed in the post credits that Zero's more just doing it as an act of caving to peer pressure around other Maverick Hunters he looks up to. With that, it's clear he doesn't see X as a burden, but as a genuine little brother he's trying to keep safe.
  • In Something About Pokemon Legends Arceus, upon being dropped off for the final time by the Braviary, Dawn tells them she loves them.
  • In Something About Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic and Tails' partnership is treated with the same wholesomeness and care as it's done in the canon entries, completely subverting usual parodies that tend to treat their partnership either as cruel or creepy.
    • When Sonic ends up going into the ground with a shield, Tails simply giggles adorably before Sonic bursts out to continue the adventure.
    • When Tails is sent flying into a pinball machine, Sonic makes it a first priority to rescue the kid before going after the next Emerald, and even then, he didn't throw Tails back on purpose, and was about to grab him again before Eggman pulled a Hostage For Mcguffin on them both.
    • Sonic is shown to be genuinely proud of Tails for finding the final Chaos Emerald on his own, as he lets out a smile once Tails delivers this Emerald and passes the rest to Sonic.
  • Toward the end of Something About Donkey Kong Country 2, Dixie is holding onto Diddy as Squawks lifts the two of them up toward the Flying Krock, and during this brief, calm moment, she rests her head against him, prompting him to look at her and simply smile in response, all to GaMetal's soft rock arrangement of "Stickerbrush Symphony". For a series that's known for being pure chaos, this subtle moment is very cute.
    • Earlier in the video, Diddy is being swarmed by Zingers, only for Dixie to shoot them off of him with Squawks, much to Diddy's relief.

Very Kirbo Christmas

  • The sub-series as a whole serves as that. Kirbo spends Christmas playing with friends and helping others, including those facing hardship and even villains from past videos. Each video ends with a prayer that often ties in with the themes of the respective video. Noticeably, several comments pointed out how Kirbo's devout Christianity and quoting of Biblical verses was played completely seriously and regardfully in the episode, making a heartfelt message at the end. There are even comments from non-Christians that praised these moments.
  • In the first video, A Very Kirbo Christmas, Kirbo spends it sending Christmas letters to his friends (even Marx), exchanging gifts, and helping the poor. Also, Simon Belmont and Luigi give him a Wall Meat and a Nipper Plant respectively; in The Stinger, he feeds the meat to the plant.
  • In Another Very Kirbo Christmas, Kirbo and Luigi decorate Luigi's Mansion. Even the disturbing ghost mentioned in the Nightmare Fuel page helps to set up the tree! They also invite the other characters of the Something series to pray and celebrate the holiday together, heroes, and villains alike. Kirbo offers up a heartwarming, heartfelt prayer highlighting how important it is to remember to love, forgive and be kind to others, no matter how different they may be from you, and even the disturbing ghost mentioned in the Nightmare Fuel page helps to set up the tree!
    • The fact that somehow, despite Rosalina's Reset Button making everyone forget about each other, they've somehow been brought back together.
    • The Nipper Plant from last year grew up! Now it's a happy, fully grown Piranha Plant welcome to the table like anyone else.
    • In the line leading up to the mansion, Little Mac is shivering due to his hoodie and sweatpants not being used to the cold. Meta Knight turns around and offers Mac his cape for a bit of extra warmth.
    • Simon brought a friend of the family over this year; Alucard, who is understandably kind of nervous given he's a dhampyr attending a Christian celebration. But as the feast begins and Kirby says grace, Simon reassures him that he's welcome, and among friends, with a gentle pat on the shoulder that calms him down enough to crack a smile. The ordeal feels like a metaphor for a person who faced toxic religion finding a kinder, well-adjusted group of people that support them.
    • During the stinger, Sephiroth shows a bit of Squaresoft solidarity with Geno by giving him a gift; A very important envelope with a distinctive red wax seal.
  • The entire A Very Kirbo Christmas: Christmas at Waddle Dee's short continues this. When Waddle Dee is fired by King Dedede, Bandanna Dee tells Kirbo and... recruits the other Kirbos from Amazing Mirror to help make the Waddle family's Christmas memorable! Even Luigi and Simon Belmont show up to join in on the fun! And to make it even sweeter? After the party, Waddle Dee is offered a new job in Waddle Dee Town, so he can still support his family through thick and thin!
  • The 2023 Christmas special "The One That Almost Wasn't" has the residents of Pop Star concerned that Kirbo hasn't made his yearly Christmas rounds or even decorated his house for Christmas, instead just sleeping in. When Luigi, Simon, and Link check in on him, Luigi is shocked to discover that Kirbo is sick. When the three tell everyone about Kirbo's illness, everyone in town proceeds to decorate Kirbo's house, prepare a get-together, and sing carols at his doorstep, which cures Kirbo of his illness when he sees what everyone was doing for him.
