    Episode 03: Strange Bedfellows
  • Keyleth managing to revive Grog with her very first casting of Greater Restoration. This triggers all kinds of heartwarming.
    • From everyone, there is this sense of drop-everything-and-help-our-friend.
    • Keyleth studies through the night to learn this spell, sparing only enough time to be sufficiently rested in order to cast it
    • Scanlan lets Keyleth borrow his figurine of Pike so Keyleth can channel her energy to aid the attempt.
    • When Keyleth initially fails her first roll, everyone gasps in horror and anticipation as she attempts the advantage roll. When it succeeds, everyone cheers and Taliesin can be seen holding his hand over his heart, sighing in relief.
    • Everyone cheers when Grog regains consciousness.
    • As Grog is waking up, Vax sounds like he's close to tears as he welcomes his friend back to waking world.
    Vax: Welcome back, big guy.
    • When Marisha mentions how she's still shaking from the anxiety of the ritual, Orion can be seen reaching over and rubbing Marisha's back to help her calm down.
    • After being filled in on what happened, Grog brings out his personal cask of ale and pours a drink for Keyleth.
  • Scanlan singing to Clarota when they first meet him, while funny as hell, is kind of heartwarming in its own right. For a creature who is anti-social, saying that he would call on Scanlan to sing more songs would count as heartwarming.

Episode 04: Attack on the Duergar Warcamp
  • Vox Machina reuniting with Pike deep in the Underdark. There are lots of hugs. Also, Pike ventured into through mines alone to find them, and according to Matt, had a rough time of it. And as an added bit of awesome, the first roll Ashley made was a natural 20.

Episode 05: The Trick about Falling
  • During a battle against a slime that was tearing through the party, Clarota steps in and manages to save the team's lives.
  • After Grog takes several bad hits, Pike rushes across the battlefield to heal him. Then, on his turn, he picks her up so he can dash her out of the danger zone.
  • Even though the passage they spent 2/3 of the game session following leads them back to the same area as before, Laura considers it a good thing because it means Vex can reunite with Trinket. She makes a "come to mommy" gesture as the bear floats down to her character.

    Episode 06: Breaching the Emberhold
  • When the situation with Kima was very narrowly defused, Travis took a quick poll of who would have taken which side. Marisha, Sam, and Orion would have all sided with Clarota as would the stream audience (and Taliesin and Liam would have tried to stay neutral), while Laura, Ashley, and Travis himself would've sided with Kima.

    Episode 07: The Throne Room
  • After Tiberius explains his God Guise plan to the party, Clarota chuckles and says, "You're all crazy. I like it." Compare this to his we're-all-gonna-die reaction to their previous Zany Scheme note . He's really warming up to Vox Machina.
  • Even though they had a hard time trusting each other since joining forces, when Lady Kima is petrified by a basilisk, Clarota immediately gets her out of the battlefield quickly filling with lava. Scanlan makes a point of telling this to Kima in the next episode.

    Episode 08: Glass and Bone
  • After healing Tiberius and Lady Kima from their petrification, the team make sure Kima knows it was Clarota who rescued her from the magma flow.
  • After Trinket becomes unconscious and falls into a pit made of rocks, glass and chunks of bone, there is a real possibility of him dying. He even has to make a death-saving throw. Very much a Tear Jerker, turned heart-warming when almost the whole crew line up to play tug-of-war with whatever is pulling Trinket down, and succeed in getting him out.
  • Despite her extended criticism of Lady Kima, and calling her useless during the battle, Keyleth is still the one who saves her from the bone pit.

    Episode 09: Vug'Voril Uncovered
  • After their heated debate in the previous episode, and after she vents to Vox Machina about her suspicions regarding Lady Kima's motives, Keyleth and the paladin manage to bury the hatchet and settle their differences. As a result, Kima agrees to give Keyleth and the party the respect they deserve, whereas Keyleth agrees to give the paladin patience in order for Kima to gain her trust and to prove that her actions and motives are for the sake of good. By the end of their ordeal regarding K'Varn and one of the two horns of Orcus, it is apparent that she was successful in gaining Keyleth's trust and proving her loyalty after leaving the party near the end of episode 16.
  • Vax, Percy, and Tiberius let a panicking Keyleth know that she isn't alone, and Vox Machina will get through the situation they found themselves in together.

    Episode 10: K'Varn Revealed
  • When Vox Machina gets on the beach, Keyleth at one point turns into a rock elemental. She makes Grog laugh by doing the cheesy "Look I'm going down the stairs!" trick while literally sinking into the earth. Grog is very amused, laughing out loud, making the rest of the party laugh with him. Later, Grog digs a ditch with his axe and pretends to row a boat.
Grog: Look! I can do it too!
Keyleth: Good job Grog! You did it!
  • The Q&A session after the episode is one for the players. In particular, it's revealed that the campaign started as a birthday gift for Liam, who wanted to play a one-off with his friends. They ended up enjoying it so much that it continued, and obviously does so to this day. Liam even describes the group as being a second family to him and also mentions how he currently is the dungeon master for a game played by his son and some of his son's friends.

    Episode 11: The Temple Showdown
  • Pike is quick to comfort Grog through his grief for his Cask of Ale. Tiberius doesn't. Instead, he brings out his Mending Wheel to fix it. That serious look of resolve on Orion's face as he prepares his roll is really something. The result is a "pure, untouched, perfect, empty cask."
  • During a particularly tense moment when Pike is trying to cast Revivify on Grog, Taliesin and Marisha can be seen holding onto each other for support, clearly and understandably worried about what's happening to their friend.
  • Keyleth working with Kima to throw Kima at K'varn. Sure it seemed more out of necessity than anything else, but given the way the two behaved to each other in episode 8, it's nice to see the two of them working together.
    • While the Fastball Special is happening, there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment between Travis and Ashley. Travis basically ignores the awesomeness happening in-game to make sure Ashley doesn't hit her head on a shelf nearby. Nice to know that the friendships at the table are totally authentic.
  • After Vex gets the supposedly final blow on K'Varn, the first thing she does is hug Trinket in celebration.

Episode 13: Escape from the Underdark
  • During the dramatic escape, Scanlan's efforts to save Pike earn him a kiss on the cheek, which is doubly heartwarming considering his kiss ended up saving her life during the ritual that resurrected the cleric. The kiss she gives him, which she never did for him before, grants him inspiration which comes in handy during the escape. (Sadly, Vax's kiss for Percy didn't get the same bonus, much to Percy's chagrin.)
  • After a tense moment in the unfamiliar Traverse Junction, the party steps out in the night air, and above them are stars. All of them are moved by the first starry sky they've seen in two weeks. Keyleth is especially adorably delighted. Then Grog deliberately ruins it with a fart.
  • Vox Machina returns to Greyskull keep and the first friendly face since their Kraghammer campaign began, their mercenary guard Shantey. She warmly welcomes them home, followed by two other guards. Their housekeeper, Liana, hugs them all and prepares a meal for them. The next person to greet them is their butler, who says their room are clean and their beds are ready. They all sit down in the mess hall and take a collective sigh of relief. Then they dig into Liana's cooking, which is fantastic even when rushed. They are safe, they are home, and they have good food and good company. Truly, what more could an adventurer ask for?

    Episode 14: Shopping and Shipping
  • Orion arrives a few minutes late to the session, just as Matt is finishing the previous episode's recap, and his first action is to reach over and hug Matt.
  • Arcanist Allura Vysoren and Lady Kima finally reuniting after so long, with a tight hug and most likely tears. The moment doubles as a Funny Moment when Tiberius interpreted their emotional reunion as something more due to their reactions towards each other, that Allura and Kima weren't just friends.
    Tiberius: Story of my life...
  • In episode 10's Q&A, the players all got so excited about their viewers potentially meeting their favourite NPC, Gilmore. When Gilmore does finally show up in this episode, they can't stop giggling. It's one of the best testaments to the world that Matt has built for them, and how much they love his characters, and how excited they are to share it all.
Tiberius: Are you looking for investors?
Gilmore: I technically am your investor in a way, but if you have the money and wish to sponsor our business, that's another discussion...
Tiberius: I - I-I-just - I just wanted you to talk to me for a bit.
  • Ho Yay subtext aside, Vax's heartfelt chat with Gilmore during their "date" when walking through Emon regarding his near-death experiences in the Underdark.
    • Ho Yay subtext included, too. They're clearly very attached to each other, even though nobody at the table can keep a straight face about it. Especially touching is Vax saying, "I don't know that I'd be standing here without you", and Gilmore's response:
Gilmore: This moment here? This is why I do what I do.

    Episode 15: Skyward
  • Pike successfully reconnecting with Sarenrae after her holy symbol had cracked while in the Underdark (with encouragement from the deity herself), and following that up with healing Vax's foot to perfect health.
Sarenrae: Be forthright. Be grand, burn bright and beautiful and I shall always be at your side.
  • Scanlan coming to Grog's defense when Grog's attempt to question a tavern fails to gather any attention. He flies into a rage of his own making a very angry threat to all present, silencing the entire place in fear. He even buys a drink for a man who speaks up and answers the question. It's a great moment of friendship between Scanlan and Grog where the little guy has the goliath's back. Grog affectionately calls him "Killer".
Grog: I had no idea. That was amazing, Scanlan!
Scanlan: For you, anything. Hey, grow a beard tomorrow morning!
    Grog: Okay!
  • Percy's superb crafting of a grappling arrow and three exploding arrows (one of them with a star due to Percy rolling a Natural 20) earns him a kiss from Vex. Percy's stunned reaction to the kiss is equally adorable.
  • The last of the wyvern-riding halfling bandits who attacked the airship is revealed to be a young woman named Tira, who says that her band simply attacked to get the supplies they needed to survive. After discerning that she's being honest (and narrowly saving her after Grog drops her off the side at the captain's suggestion), our heroes suggest she start a new life working aboard the ship. As Vax tells her, "That was your past. This is your future."
    • One of the NPC guards protecting the horn of K'varn is named Vorack, in honor of a member of the fan community who had recently undergone surgery following a serious accident.
  • The "Critmas" session at the end of the episode
    • the flasks sent to both Sam Riegel and Ashley Johnson by a fan who wishes to make the pairing of Scanlan and Pike official. When brought together, the two flasks form a picture of a dragonheart.
    • Travis gets a cask of ale prop
    • Laura receives two more Trinket plushies, and these even have armor. She plays with them and hugs them while Matt recites the (many) above $20 donations. She mouths "thank you" to the critters.
  • Matt's birthday cake; he forgot but they didn't.

    Episode 16: Enter Vasselheim
  • As the skyship arrives at the new continent, Keyleth shyly brings up the fact that the Fire Ashari live in the area, and she that she would like, if the party didn't mind the trouble, stopping by after they take care of the Horn of Orcus. Not only does everyone immediately agree but Vex suggests that everyone else pretends to be her cohorts so she can show off what a great leader she is to her sister tribe.
    • They are also quick to console her about her mother's unknown fate, and Vex apologises for bringing up a sensitive topic. Grog even gently suggests that they ask the Fire Ashari if they know about Keyleth's mom and where she could be.
  • For reasons, Keyleth is arrested in the Platinum Sanctuary and she is only saved through a timely intervention from Lady Kima; "She's with me." Clearly, she bears no grudge from their...disagreements in the Underdark.
  • The temple of Sarenrae and the three followers. It is just heartwarming how they are so devoted to defending the temple from Vox Machina, should it come to it, and how happy and welcoming they are when they learn that Pike also worships the sun goddess.
  • In his own way, Scanlan's farewell to Pike at the end of the episode.
Scanlan: I... Pike... I, Scanlan, will not physically wait for you, but emotionally. [everyone cracks up] Emotionally I will wait for you. and I will not stray emotionally... I will always be there for you.
