Zoog Disney was a defunct afternoon block that aired on Disney Channel from 1998 to 2002 aimed mainly at the preteen market. The block was hosted by robot characters called "Zoogs" and featured Disney Channel original shows, music videos and content submitted by viewers on the website, such as high scores for their online games.

The Zoogs were designed by David Fremont of Colossal Pictures, as part of the revamp of Disney Channel in 1997 under Geraldine Laybourne's direction; at one point, there were potential plans for an entire show centered around the Zoogs, but this never came to fruition. Fremont was dismayed to see the Zoogs' redesign, which he was not involved in.

Tropes commonly present across the Zoog branding:

  • Animesque: The Zoogs' 2.0 designs are in a more anime-like style with more humanoid bodies and big eyes compared to the more cartoonish and abstract 1.0 designs.
  • Black Dot Pupils: Both versions of All characters, except MZ 2.0, have white eyes with black dots.
  • Blush Sticker: The 2.0 design for Zoogina is constantly blushing, which acts as a hint at her not too hidden crush on Joe. Gatherer's 2.0 Prototype also has Purple blushes.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: AIRLine has no 2.0 equivalent.
  • Conjoined Twins: AIRLine are twins that are two necks connected to the same body. The twins consist of one boy and one girl.
  • Cute Bookworm: This references Zoogina's nerdy 2000's design.
  • Eye Glasses: Along with the normal white eyes with black dots of the other Zoogs, 2.0 Zoogina has glasses.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: Unlike the original MZ, the 2.0 design of MZ has eyes that are always hidden by his glasses.
  • Half-Identical Twins: The two heads of AIRLine are nearly identical, though AIR is male and Line is female.
  • The Noseless: With the exception of Joe and MZ 2.0, and AIRLine in 1.0, no zoogs have noses.
  • Time Abyss: According to the original theme song, the Zoogs have existed since the birth of fire.
  • TV Head Robot: Both versions of Joe and the 2.0 version of MZ have monitors for heads.
  • Two Girls Toa Team: the Two separate girls across both eras, Dotcom and Zoogina.
  • Pie in the Face: In one segment of “MZ’s Talk Show”, someone threw two pies at Gatherer.
  • Third Eye: Twitch, the one that represents video games, has three eyes.
  • Vocal Dissonance: the Zoogs have the voices of humans.
  • Valley Girl: This is refreshing Dotcom's 2.0 outfit.
