John Campbell McTiernan, Jr. (born January 8, 1951) is an American filmmaker.
He is best known for his action films in the late '80s and The '90s, including Predator (1987), Die Hard (1988) and its second sequel Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), The Hunt for Red October (1990), and Last Action Hero (1993).
