An old lady who sells seeds in Pebble Plaza. She lives in Dapplewood.
- Hold Your Hippogriffs: Agami says a lot of these. For example:
- At the start, she says she hasn't seen a Parasaurolophus since she was "knee high to an Oviraptor ."
- When you talk to her at her shop, she might say, "Look at what the rapt dragged in."
- Miniature Senior Citizens: She's the oldest character in the game and also the shortest, which she frequently jokes about.
- Parental Substitute: A sidequest reveals that she raised Avery when he was a child.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Despite her short stature and old age, she often boasts about how she has the strength of ten men.
A carpenter who sells and crafts furniture in Pebble Plaza. He lives in Dapplewood.
- Hidden Depths: It turns out he's responsible for the wooden statues around Dapplewood, but is too self-conscious to tell anyone other than the player and Pippin.
A field researcher who tracks wild dinosaur behaviors.
- Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: She works out in the field with her Utahraptor companion, while Owynn prefers to do his research through reading indoors.
A dinosaur researcher who prefers to read books than study out in the field. He's bad at gardening.
- Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Prefers reading indoors over researching out in the field like Mari.
- Nerd Glasses: He wears reading glasses and is a book-smart expert on dinosaurs.
An eccentric cook at Pebble Plaza who sells poppins, a type of sweet that can help you befriend dinosaurs.
- Bratty Half-Pint: Downplayed — they're a small villager who can come off as a little stand-offish when you first talk to them, but this is more due to their lack of social skills than anything.
- Meaningful Name: Their name is Pippin and they make poppins.
- No Social Skills: Their profile mentions that they lack some of the traditional social graces of typical conversation, though this is said to simply add to their charm.
A travelling performer who loves small dinosaurs. Every Jurassea, he visits Pebble Plaza for the Shenanigan festival, where participants have to find ten members of his troupe. He also gives the player various items that allow small dinos to help with farming.
- Meaningful Name: His name sounds like "aviary", a place where birds are kept, and he has a lot of bird-like dinosaurs.
Dino companions
A Parasaurolophus who the player received as an egg. She's smaller and faster than others of her species.
- Gameplay and Story Segregation: Even though her love for mangoes is a plot point, they're not considered one of her favourite foods gameplay-wise.
- Last of Her Kind: Lucky is believed to be the last Parasaurolophus. The game's story kicks off with the player deciding to move to Veridian Valley in an effort to locate more. By the end of the main quest, the player successfully finds a herd of them living in Ariacotta Canyon.
- Trademark Favorite Food: She really likes mangoes. At one point during the story, Lucky is depressed because she feels lonely, so the player has to feed her a mango to cheer her up.
- Does Not Like Spam: In one sidequest, Owynn has a hypothesis that the bigger the dinosaur, the more it likes potatoes, and asks the player to feed one to Paprika to test this. Turns out Paprika hates them.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: She's too small to be a steed, but she's strong enough to help rebuild the archway to Ariacotta Canyon.
- Religious and Mythological Theme Naming: She's named after the Egyptian god of the rising sun.

- Required Party Member: The player is required to tame a Styracosaurus to break the boulders blocking the path to Dapplewood, because it's the only dino with the smasher skill available at that point.

Fast-running, feathered theropods.
- Goofy Feathered Dinosaur: They're appropriately feathered, and they sprint so quickly that it causes the player riding them to comically lean backwards. The Dinopedia even points out how cute they look when they run.
- Required Party Member: The player is required to tame a Gallimimus as part of the tutorial.

Large but swift rauisuchids.
- Green Gators: Downplayed. It's a pseudosuchian and two of its common colour palettes are green, but it can come in other colours as well.
- Shown Their Work: It's portrayed as a biped rather than a quadruped as in outdated depictions.

- Headbutting Pachy: They can smash rocks with their head-domes.

Stocky aetosaurs who are faster than they look.
- Acrofatic: Despite being wide, quadrupedal herbivores, the Dinopedia points out that they're among the fastest sprinters in the game.

Very elusive ornithopods that most people in Paleo Pines had never seen. They used to live in Veridian Valley, but disappeared deep into Ariacotta Canyon until the player and Lucky found them.
- Not So Extinct: The residents of Paleo Pines were shocked to see Lucky because they thought the Parasaurolophuses had all disappeared; only Agami had seen one before. Turns out they were just hiding.

- Big Eater: The Dinopedia says they'll chomp through vegetables in record time, and they eat five units of herbivore food per day.
- Mighty Glacier: They're among the slowest steeds in the game, but they're described as strong and can cut through vine bushes with their thagomizers.
