MIND MGMT characters

    Meru Marlowe

  • Amnesiac Hero: As it turns out, Meru has a lot of memories that have been taken from her.
  • Anti-Magic: Unbeknownst to her, Meru has this power; agents in her vicinity find themselves unable to use their own abilities. This is how she survived the Zanzibar City massacre. This also makes it difficult when she begins recruiting agents; her ability to nullify others' abilities causes some of the targets to freak out and run away.

    Henry Lyme

  • Opaque Lenses: Whenever Lyme is shown with his glasses on, they're reflective, showing the world around him rather than betraying his own thoughts. As it turns out, after his first contact with the Eraser's Immortals, he no longer had eyes to show.

    Duncan Jones

  • Seer: He automatically and subconsciously scans the minds of every living thing for miles around and aggregates their intentions, giving him near-perfect knowledge of the next fifteen minutes. He can't be surprised or defeated in a fight, and when challenged to play chess he won every time, despite not having learned the game. However, beyond the distance and time limitations, he can be overwhelmed when all nearby minds have the same or similar thoughts, or if someone is acting purely on instinct.

    Bill Falls/Ferris Ferral

  • Shatterpoint Tap: His psychic ability, honed when he was a Mind Management agent.
  • Two Aliases, One Character: Bill Falls first appears as an FBI agent protecting Meru. Ferris Ferral first appears as a child psychic recruited by Mind Management in one of the "Second Floor" supplements. It's not until several issues later that they're revealed to be the same person.

    Dusty

    The Immortals

  • Master of Your Domain: Their power allows them to close up wounds, ignore pain, and even develop gills when sunk to the bottom of a river.
  • No Name Given: None of the Immortals, with the exception of the First Immortal, are ever given names.

    The Perrier sisters

    The Eraser/Julianne Verve

  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Her ability lets her remove specific memories, or entire chunks of a person's life.

    Ella Jean, the Animal Kid

  • Animal Lover: Has a natural ability to communicate with animals. After being hurt by humans too many times, she goes to live in the forest with them instead.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: Subverted; she can clearly communicate with creatures of all kinds, but she explicitly says it isn't language, since that's not how animals think.
Ella: It's not like I talk to them. It's like I see all they love and hate all at once. It's like a dream.

    Sir Francis, the First Immortal

  • Been There, Shaped History: He caused the Hindenburg disaster, as it would supposedly prevent the eruption of World War II, and later attempted to prevent the atomic bomb from being dropped on Hiroshima.
  • Death Seeker: He's been alive for so long and seen so much that he just wants to die by this point. Meru unwittingly helps him.

    Lance Links

  • The Dragon: Serves as the Eraser's second-in-command.
  • Evil Counterpart: He has virtually the same powers as Duncan, and the two of them face off in several battles.
  • Functional Addict: After Mind Management experimented on him with various drugs, he became addicted, to the point where the Eraser keeps him on a leash by providing him with drugs.

    The Magician

  • Master of Illusion: Many of the characters can use their powers to alter what somebody sees, but the Magician is the most skilled at it.
  • Older Than They Look: She uses her powers to appear much younger.

    Right-Hand Man

    Anthers Kindle

  • Dream Walker: Her special ability lets her travel into the dreams of others. She's used as a completely secure courier; there's no way to trace or eavesdrop on dreams, after all.

MIND MGMT: Bootleg characters

    Kito Kessy

    Denny

  • Technopath: His special ability allows him to talk to machines and electronics of all kinds.

    Chiyo

  • Death Seeker: Chiyo's ability to control all the cells of her body means she subconsciously heals back from every injury. After seeing her family die in the Zanzibar disaster, she wants to kill herself, but can't actually do it. By the end, she regains her appreciation for life and decides to keep living.
  • Waking Up at the Morgue: Her mother died in Zanzibar while she was pregnant with Chiyo. The morgue attendant heard a baby's cry, and opened up the storage chamber to discover a still-alive Chiyo.

    Mister Hide
