Is there a trope for "Team Hero and Legion of Doom line up and fight their counterparts?" It's very common in superhero shows. For example, Justice League will almost always have the Martian Manhunter fight an identically powered Martian foe, Superman fights Metallo, Green Lantern fights Sinestro or Star Sapphire.
EDIT: Oops. Counterpart Combat Coordination. Got it.

A dialogue trope: Bob says something he expects/wants Alice to disagree with, except she agrees (not Won't Take "Yes" for an Answer). May be followed by My God, You Are Serious! on Bob's part.
For example, if he made a Self-Deprecation joke, Bob realizes Alice really does think he's that fat/stupid/ugly/weak/etc.; if he suggested an extreme and impractical solution to a problem she'll highlight the impractical rather than the extreme aspect (Blow up the house to get rid of the ants? The gas station's closed so they can't get fuel).

Would a Japanese kid/teen doing Yojijukugo-dropping in a conversation to show off his/her Japanese skills the same as Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness? Assuming they use them correctly.

Is there a trope/trivia item something like Franchise Traitor? A creator who is in one Franchise becomes a "traitor" by working in another one, run by a different company. The examples I have in mind are all actors in comic book adaptation films, but it wouldn't need to be exclusive to that format.
- Ryan Reynolds playing Green Lantern (DC), then Deadpool (Marvel)
- Ben Affleck as Daredevil (Marvel), then Batman (DC)
- Chris Evans as Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four (Marvel/Fox), then as Captain America (Marvel/MCU)
- borderline: Anette O'Toole as Lana Lang in Superman III (Superman film franchise) then as Martha Kent in Smallville. Not a Casting Gag since the producers didn't know/realize she had played Lana until after they cast her.
- aversion: One of the people who played Superboy in the Superboy TV series auditioned for the role of Clark Kent/Superman in Lois and Clark but was rejected on the grounds that it wasn't a Sequel Series so having the same actor in the part would be wrong.

I know we have a trope for when ghosts float (Ghostly Glide) but about when ghosts are able to teleport instead?I was watching a youtube video when I saw someone mention how it was a common trope"
" The teleporting thing occupies the same part of American elements as what I call "The Ghost Shimmy": That thing where a ghost will slowly walk towards the camera, stop, and then seemingly have a seizure in ridiculous fast forward before resuming their walk"

Is there a trope for when an attack is blocked or otherwise diverted, causing a shock-wave to appear behind/below them? Usually when a smaller character catches a punch from a much bigger one with no trouble, causing the ground beneath them to crack, or something similar.
Also, if it's not called a 'Blockwave'...why not??

Went thru Cops and Detectives, didn't find it.
Hypocritical Cop. The police are always telling people not to take the law into their own hands, let justice work, if you see a crime report it and testify, etc. However when it hits themselves or someone close to them they don't follow their own instructions. Somebody shot you? Don't tell what happened, just say "I don't remember." Then track them down and take them out. Wife/husband/son/daughter/etc. witness a crime? Make sure the perp confesses by any means neccessary, or again take them out, to keep your loved one from being forced to testify. Etc.
Overall, has shades of Vigilante Man, Killer Cop, Cowboy Cop, and perhaps others; but not quite matching any of them.

Do we have a trope for when a male cartoon character gets girly eyes with eyelashes in one shot when they're being dramatic? If not can I make one?

Is there a trope (or perhaps a sub trope of Heroic sacrifice) for when a side character. ( perhaps a minion, or dragon) helps the hero in either escaping, or achieving their mission. Knowing full well that their punishment will be A Fate Worse Than Death ?

HI,
I'm looking for an instance where the villain actually convince the hero to join there side. For any reason but mostly because the something like the villain was right or only they can save world. Something like when Dr. Strange joined up with Dr. Doom during the new secret wars.

Is there anything for a character who's brought to life/existence through magical means? Not necessarily Made of Magic or a Pure Magic Being, but they simply came to exist after being conjured by a spell or wished to life.
This wouldn't include characters who are resurrected, or simply summoned from somewhere else, but someone who simply didn't exist before. I guess a golem would be the closest approximation?
Some examples I can think of:
- The Fairly Odd Parents: The Crimson Chin
- Marvel Comics: Wiccan and Speed (and maybe Hulkling, too)
- Wonder Woman (going by the made-from-clay origin)
- Ted
- Frosty the Snowman
- Frozen: Olaf
- Adventure Time: Lemongrab (arguably science?)
- The Smurfs: Smurfette
- Your average "perfect girlfriend" aesop being...

What is it called when an animated character's mouth is replaced with live action footage of a mouth talking? This can be done during a Gross-Up Close-Up.

Is there a trope about when two players must/are strongly encouraged to work together in order to succeed but are limited in how they can communicate?
examples that I can think of include:
1. the Mechazod Tavern Brawls in Hearthstone (prime example)
2. Journey
3. any other coop game really where the players can choose not to use text/voice and instead rely on in game gestures.
For example, I personally played through games like Portal 2, Splintercell, the Spec Ops missions in Modern Warfare, Alien Swarm, and Battleblock with a friend whom I never once spoke to once in game because we had no voice chat and pulling up Steam's textbox was inconvenient during a gunfight.
Alternatively, you can think of the work ethic between Jamie and Adam in the Mythbusters, in which Adam said that even while on the bottom of a body of water the two can work together just fine with no vocal communication because of how they both trust each other to be able to get what needs doing done
I'm really emphasizing the mutual faith and trust you need to put into one another

Is there a trope that addresses the fact that time travel often inexplicably involves traveling in place as well?
