The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at You Know, That Thing Where.
I don't think you're just going by "another one, run by a different company" there - this always happens with Dueling Companies. Marvel and DC are a pair of such.
Another would be one of SNK's famous artists back then, who draw official art for King Of Fighters characters, and then years later he then works at Capcom, and drew one of Marvel Vs Capcom 3's official arts.
MAX POWER KILL JEEEEEEEEWWWWWYes good point. Rival companies, not just one company and then another company. Not familiar with the example you've given or the companies behind it myself.
Though per two of the Superman examples I gave (admittedly not great examples) the originating company is the same but the continuity isn't.

Is there a trope/trivia item something like Franchise Traitor? A creator who is in one Franchise becomes a "traitor" by working in another one, run by a different company. The examples I have in mind are all actors in comic book adaptation films, but it wouldn't need to be exclusive to that format.
- Ryan Reynolds playing Green Lantern (DC), then Deadpool (Marvel)
- Ben Affleck as Daredevil (Marvel), then Batman (DC)
- Chris Evans as Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four (Marvel/Fox), then as Captain America (Marvel/MCU)
- borderline: Anette O'Toole as Lana Lang in Superman III (Superman film franchise) then as Martha Kent in Smallville. Not a Casting Gag since the producers didn't know/realize she had played Lana until after they cast her.
- aversion: One of the people who played Superboy in the Superboy TV series auditioned for the role of Clark Kent/Superman in Lois and Clark but was rejected on the grounds that it wasn't a Sequel Series so having the same actor in the part would be wrong.
