I think this might be either a specific case of Language Barrier, maybe Language of Love (though that seems to be more romantically-focused, rather than simply faith- and trust-based).

Is there a trope about when two players must/are strongly encouraged to work together in order to succeed but are limited in how they can communicate?
examples that I can think of include:
1. the Mechazod Tavern Brawls in Hearthstone (prime example)
2. Journey
3. any other coop game really where the players can choose not to use text/voice and instead rely on in game gestures.
For example, I personally played through games like Portal 2, Splintercell, the Spec Ops missions in Modern Warfare, Alien Swarm, and Battleblock with a friend whom I never once spoke to once in game because we had no voice chat and pulling up Steam's textbox was inconvenient during a gunfight.
Alternatively, you can think of the work ethic between Jamie and Adam in the Mythbusters, in which Adam said that even while on the bottom of a body of water the two can work together just fine with no vocal communication because of how they both trust each other to be able to get what needs doing done
I'm really emphasizing the mutual faith and trust you need to put into one another
