It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

openHow do we refer to characters with multiple pronouns?
I recently came across our page for Friday Night Fever, which has a bigender character, Taki. Nearly all of the examples regarding her constantly switch from using she/her and he/him in the same example, and it's honestly confusing. So that got me thinking: how do we refer to characters with multiple pronouns? Do we stick to one set page wide or just keep it consistent in an example itself (like referring to a character with they/he pronouns as he in one example for a trope, and they in an example for another trope)?
openThe Metalocalypse Recap page have some Stub issues
The main index here.
What the title said; while the first few episodes from season one does have enough context (for a recap page anyways), scroll a little lower down the list...
.. the remains of pretty much every thing else after the quarter-point are practically stubs, stubs, stubs, stubs, more stubs, stub-ber-riffic stubbly stub stubs. And stubs.
Have I mentioned there will be stubs?
Considering most (if not all) have not seen updates for roughly 3-4 years (grabs AK-47) any objections about cutlisting them all?
Edited by RobertTYLopenWhy hasn't this Headscratchers page been cut yet?
There's a Headscratchers page for Real Life, which isn't allowed since it is about a non-fictional subject and has no appropriate index to place it under. But especially because it was only created a couple weeks ago, and was likely cut in the past. That seems to be the case since one would expect much too many questions a page this diverse, but it's only got like four...
openBizarre note?
I found this note on PlayingWith.Your Tomcat Is Pregnant:
- Justified: Alice cannot tell male cats from female cats. note Are you in Alice's position? Well, you can tell the difference by looking under the cat's tail. A male cat (or tom, tomcat, gib if neutered) will have a ball-sack, which is smaller in neutered cats. His penis is underneath the balls, in a little hole. A female cat (or molly, queen if she is nursing or pregnant) doesn't have any visible genitalia apart from her urethra/vagina. You can tell their sex by the time they're a few weeks old.
Is this allowed? Or no?
openWeird Useful Notes page
I happened across UsefulNotes.Cultural Cringe, which is a page of general examples of Cultural Cringe... I think? Is this allowed, and if so is Useful Notes the right namespace for it?
openIs this considered advertising?
I found this on AwesomeMusic.Touhou Other Works.
- Gensokyo Radio has over 2,000 remixes streaming 24/7.
Is linking to an active online radio station considered advertising in any sense?
Edited by DivineFlame100open StuffedIntoTheFridge TRS
There is an active crowner for Stuffed into the Fridge at the Trope Repair Shop. If inclined to join the discussion, do so here.
This is only an announcement; please do not reply to this query.
openRandom quotes
The quotes tab for Lisa is bloated with random quotes that don't have much importance in the game.
open Deadname on Elliot Page’s page
On May 16, Elliot Page’s deadname was added to his page. Since deadnaming should always be avoided, can I go ahead and remove it?
(also, I apologize if ATT isn’t the place for this, I just wasn’t sure where else to bring it)
openHow to remove WikiWord
I requested a Wiki Word to a subpage for The Simpsons, but didn't expect it to apply to all of them. How do I turn it back to how it was before?
openUnauthorized WikiWord Editing of Simpsons page
I've looked at trope pages listing examples from The Simpsons and see that the link presently has been edited so that the wording is displayed as "We're Still Relevant Dammit / The Simpsons".
I can't tell if this is because of someone who dislikes the show making a statement about their distaste for modern episodes of the series (while ignoring that here, we very much frown upon devoting work articles to complaining about the media's quality regardless of the work's general reception) or if this was a gaffe from trying to edit the Were Still Relevant Dammit sub-page of the show.
openIn need of an archive. Live Action TV
Does anyone have an archive (preferably the page source/markup) of what used to be MCU The Multiverse? I’ve been considering re-adding it to it’s current incarnation, which doesn’t have the problem the original hadnote the new one actually has characters on it.
openHindsight examples
I've also had a confusion over which work's YMMV page the Hilarious/Harsher/Heartwarming in Hindsight examples are supposed to go: the older one or the newer one? I've seen it go both ways.
I would assume putting it on the older work's YMMV in reference to the later work with similar elements is the proper way since putting it on the later one's makes it look like it came out before the older work, even though that's obviously not the case.
openFanfic page having fanfic recs
Are there pages about fanfictions that also have a fanficrecs section? I’m just wondering.
Edited by BlueBlazesopenWeird Simpsons Wikiword?
So, the wikiword for The Simpsons is "We're Still Relevant, Dammit!/The Simpsons", which is... not right, to say the least. I feel like this was done by someone who was trying to create the page WereStillRelevantDammit. The Simpsons, but in any case, this wikiword should definitely be reverted.
Edited by idonomopenShould Music/Glee...exist?
Music.Glee is a subpage of Series.Glee, which is a musical series that covers popular songs. The Music subpage is in a work namespace. It lists the cast albums (fair) and then proceeds to sort every song covered by decade (umm...okay). It doesn't have any associated tropes, though, since those are on the series page (eg. The Cover Changes the Gender).
What should be done about this page? It clearly doesn't fit work page guidelines as it is. Should we go through the Series page to find tropes specifically about the songs, or fold the Music page into the Series page and cut the former?
openEditing my page
I can't edit my main Tropers page because it starts with a number and not a letter. The message says "Sorry, the groupname and title must start with a letter and cannot contain special characters." This means that I don't have an easy way of accessing my sandbox outside of using History or using a forum signature. It feels clunkier than it needs to be, so how can I fix it?
Edited by 227someguy
It was recently pointed out to me that the deadnaming rules for this wiki say that the deadname can be used once in an article (although, really, it can be used many times, since another rule states you can add a note saying if they were credited under a previous name).
I disagree with this policy and believe it should be changed. Earlier this year, in fact, Wookiepedia got into a huge kerfuffle over their own deadnaming policy and Fandom Wiki had to intervene to set up new guidelines for all wikis that use Fandom Wiki. The rule is basically: don't use the deadname at all unless it's a redirect, so that people can easily look it up under both names. So if someone searches for Elliot Page's deadname, they will be redirected to, well, Elliot Page and realize that they are the same person.
Since this is Fandom Wiki's policy and seems like a good rule, I suggest that it be adopted by TV Tropes.
