Should a WMG about a work's sequal go on the original work's page or should a new WMG page be created for the sequal?
I ask because I have a few speculative WMGs about Borderlands 2 (and I've noticed that there's already a few on WMG.Borderlands), but the work page doesn't have its own WMG. I only go on WMG pages very occasionally so I'm not sure what the done thing is (i.e. if the lack of a WMG.Borderlands 2 is because it hasn't yet been created or because it shouldn't be created).

Yeah, so on the Violent Storm page, someone named Blessranger keeps thinking Sledge (The sixth stage boss) is a cannibal, given the edit history:
- Sledge is a ninja turtle parody, though his attack pattern is based on Rolento, and he's a cannibal to boot.
After undoing it, a second attempt was made which I also undid:
- I'm a Humanitarian: Sledge has a couple of cannibal-themed taunts, including:
"Eat you for breakfast."
I thought that was a generic taunt. That's like saying your aunt is a cannibal because she'll eat you up. He also has an annoying habit of shoehorning Kid-Appeal Character into any whichever character doesn't have an obvious trait of the Five-Man Band. Again, some examples of misuse of this trope:
- Kyle from Violent Storm was one, I changed it to The Lancer and Boris as The Big Guy
- Kazan from the Rushing Beat series, was changed to The Lancer eventually
- Max from Metamorphic Force, I haven't played it yet so I'm uncertain as to what would be a better trait of the Five-Man Band, if any...
- Brad from Mystic Warriors
So what should I do?
I almost forgot, on the Metamorphic Force page, he says how the fifth stage boss reminds him of Prairie Dawn when she looks nothing like her at all. It was attempted twice, first with Captain Ersatz, and again with No Celebrities Were Harmed, both of which were undone.

There's a trope called No Russian, at a guess after the mission in Modern Warfare. Too controversial?

So i am a somewhat new troper, and i don't have much ( read: not at all) experience with editing pages, such as how to put Spoilers or writing for other Troper rather than myself. Currently in trying to enrich the Kana Little Sister pages, particularly the Heartwarming page, which didn't have anything still until i started. The question is: Could please another Troper who is also a fan of the game, help here? at least with learning the editing? the wiki doesn't help much with that.

On adding works that are published, at what point is a video game considered published?
For instance, one game I would like to add a page for is currently in beta, but is in open beta. Anyone and everyone can currently go and download the game and there are already numerous articles on gaming sites and Let's Play videos.
Given the amount of coverage given this title, would it be considered published?

I'm in the process of writing a glowing review of Mass Effect 2 and thought to show the quality of the game go through the best tropes alphabetically. Anyone have one for Q?

We have on our hands another attempt to recreate the Baldr Sky page at VideoGame.Baldr Sky. Troper responsible is Basudai, account is new and has no other edits I've added it to the cutlist but would like to see some mod intervention.

Time for Alex Sora 89 to report an actually useful notification!
Seriously though, I just noticed the Wake-Up Call Boss article lacks a few game genres, among which stands the rather important platformer genre. Investigating a bit in the page history resulted in finding out those genres were wiped entirely from the page.
Is it a case of Example Sectionectomy at work - debatable, as it's too specific to count as such - or, far more probably, stealth trolling? You be the judge, folks.

Requesting some moderation for an edit war that I just realized I've unintentionally started over at Mass Effect 3's Headscratchers page. Found an entry on there that I felt seemed less like a real headscratcher and more like a vehicle for someone to soapbox. I pulled the folder in question and gave my reasons - essentially that he was just using the page as a blog to rant about how much he hates the geth - and he restored it without changing anything or addressing my reasons. I've put up a topic on the discussion page about it and invited discussion. He's also started sending me PMs accusing me of being a geth fanboy for pulling that entry and adjusting some other entries, i.e. the What An Idiot Video Games page, where I edited an entry that again seemed less like a real entry and more like a rant about the geth.
Am I going too far here?

I recently moved an example of Alas, Poor Villain from here to here, but Troacctid has moved it back claiming it's not YMMV in the edit reason. It says on the Alas, Poor Villain page that it is a YMMV trope, so I'm almost positive I was right, but I thought I'd check here rather than start editing it back and forth.

Having some trouble at Fire Emblem Tellius. A while back, I changed an example listed as "Acceptable Breaks from Reality" to "Gameplay and Story Segregation" on the grounds that Acceptable Breaks from Reality was a) an index, and b) about things that were inherently unrealistic. But at this point at least two different tropers have thought that Acceptable Breaks from Reality belonged there. Just to be clear, Acceptable Breaks from Reality isn't a trope, right?

I was looking through the list of character sheets and was surprised to see that Command And Conquer doesn't have one. Does anyone else feel that ought to change?

Troper Shizu has been changing several instances of "Aerith" to "Aeris" for no given reason. Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and Final Fantasy XIII-2 are some of the affected pages, though I was struck down for "edit warring" when I tried to revert the change in the FF13-2 page.

I had requested a custom title for Kid Icarus: Uprising, and I think it was accepted, because on the page for the game itself, it has a colon in there - Kid Icarus: Uprising. However, it doesn't seem to show the custom title on any other page. How does this get fixed?

The following entry was removed from the YMMV page of Pokemon Black 2 And White 2, cited as being Square Peg Round Trope for the Woolseyism trope. The addition of the word "Version" in handheld Pokemon games was a translation convention that began with the English titles of Pokémon Red and Blue Versions (the first Pokémon games), as the Japanese versions of Red and Blue (titled "Pocket Monsters Red" and "Pocket Monsters Green") simply list the color of the version without actually including the word "Version". I am wondering if the entry below still qualifies as a Woolseyism:
- Woolseyism: While still utilizing the concept of "versions", the Japanese handheld main series games typically omit the "Version" nomenclature, resulting in titles like Pocket Monsters Black and Pocket Monsters White. However, the usage of "Version" in the English titles of Pokemon Black 2 And White 2 (Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2) manages to work out quite nicely — as in, version 2.0, indicating an upgrade/update or progression of sorts from Pokemon Black And White, which one would usually expect of a game sequel.
Thanks in advance for assistance.

I stumbled across this "analysis" which seems more like a not so stealthy group insult. It was cut twice by Camacan but folks can't seem to leave it alone. Instead of becoming part of the edit war I am bringing it here.

I and a few others have noticed that a couple of editors seem to be patrolling the YMMV page for the new Devil May Cry reboot, removing anything that shows the fans may have a legitimate concern about the game's quality and twisting everything as Fan Dumb to make them appear as overzealous assholes who need to stop crucifying poor old Ninja Theory. Something about this reeks of desperate damage control or someone desperately trying to make everyone else's opinions look bad while covering up the fact that they actually have a leg to stand on. Thing like pointing out that the director openly insulted the fans of the older games are deleted and the reasons for editing are always "keep personal opinions out," but isn't that the whole point of YMMV? That not everyone sees things the same way? Deleting and trying to silence an entire side of an argument seems like a pretty bullshit way to represent that. I made a post about this in the Wiki Talk forum and they directed me here, so I'd appreciate some closure on the matter.
