A Game of Gods Season 3: Nemesis

Go To

"Tomorrow, NCS 3 launches it's new flagship reality show, Nemesis. The whole production has been shrouded in secrecy since day one, but early this morning the channel finally gave us the details. Here today to talk us through those details is our entertainment correspondent, Evelyn Williams.”

“Thanks, Marcus. Rumours about Nemesis have been around for months, but the two biggest ones were confirmed today. Both Donald Kimball and Craig Mc Dermot have been acquired by NCS 3 for the show. For those who don’t know, Donald Kimball was the safety consultant for Fighting With The Stars, and developed the BOC resurrection system that allowed for the weekly deathmatches, while Craig Mc Dermot was the multiversal travel consultant on Jean and Christie Do The Multiverse.

“Oh, I love that show! When are they starting Season Five?”

“As soon as they break Jean and Christie out of that prison.”

“So, what did they get Kimball and Mc Dermot for?”

“Well, Nemesis seems like the usual premise: two teams of people who don’t like each other living in the same house and competing in challenges against each other. What Nemesis is doing differently is that these two groups are some of the multiverse’s biggest heroes and villains, and they’re allowing the groups to murder each other whenever they want.”

“So that’s what the BOC is for, then?”

“Yup. And the challenges are going to be set in different universes, to give even more variety.”

“So, do we know who’s going in?”

“They haven’t revealed that just yet, Marcus. They have revealed the host, though. Some unknown named Liberty Mc Trustworthy.”

“Liberty Mc Trustworthy? That has to be a stage name.”

“I dunno, Marcus. You gotta remember that Timothy Bryce was actually named Harmony Worldpeace before the lawsuit.”

“People call their children anything nowadays. Thanks for coming on Evelyn, next up on Wake Up Call we have Hugh Anthony with the news.”

Hello, and welcome to A Game of Gods: Nemesis, a third-generation AGOG crossover game. The premise of this one is similar to the last season’s Taskforce Sifuri, in that we’ll be pitting two teams against each other during the challenges. However, the one downfall of Taskforce Sifuri was that the difference between the two teams wasn’t stark enough. They eventually learned to get along.

This go around, that won’t happen. Nemesis is pitting Heroes, people of moral character and decisive action, against Villains, those who would harm the innocent in pursuit of their goals. We’re dividing this along moral lines, not Protagonist/Antagonist lines: if your “good guy” is a puppy-kicking, village burning asshole, they’re going on the Villain team.

What makes Nemesis unique in AGOG’s history is the setting: several of the games so far have been the product of bored Nomads looking for entertainment, but this time around it’s an advanced human society that’s holding our heroes and villains captive. And with humans comes a love for that most basic of entertainment: Reality TV.

With the “help” of an energetic host, the Heroes and Villains will face off in a variety of challenges, battling for each challenge’s reward, and gaining wins that will be tallied in the end to find the ultimate winner between good and evil. This ultimate reward? The technology that makes the show run: multiversal travel, revival of the dead, instantaneous teleportation, weapons capable of killing anyone in the cast, and much much more. Everything an aspiring villain needs to fulfill their heart’s desires. And everything a hero wants to keep out of their hands.

Of course, some of the cast may just want to enact revenge on the people who would pluck them from their lives and mess with them for petty amusement. Although the producers have made every measure to keep themselves safe, technology isn’t infallible…

In between these challenges, though, there is one ongoing challenge: trying to live in the same house as people who hate you on principle. And there’s nothing to stop them from trying to kill you over and over and over again, even if they succeed.

You have to remember though: the opposite team might not be the only ones who don’t like you.

Despite this being a sequel to two previous sets of games, you don’t have to be an AGOG Veteran to join in on the fun, and inexperienced players are completely welcome. The plot connection between this game and previous games is extremely loose.

So let’s get this show on the road, shall we?

Rules:

Signup Rules:

Two characters per player, one for each team. Any more than that will be taken on case-by-case basis, but if we believe that you’re able to handle it, we’ll allow it. Try and stick with two to start with, though.

Duos are allowed, but we’ll taking it on a case-by-case basis. In the past, “duo” has meant characters such as Jak and Daxter, where only one is combat-effective and the other just serves as someone to bounce off of, personality-wise. If you feel like your character’s personality works best when they have their constant partner around, but both are combat-capable (for example, Grif and Simmons from Red Vs Blue work best as a double act), send the pair at us and we’ll discuss it.

We’d also like to keep powerlevels at a reasonable standard, but anything can be nerfed. Even if you think your character is too powerful, send them our way and we’ll discuss it. Rule of thumb, though: if your character can cause or fix natural disasters single-handedly in a short length of time, expect some nerfs.

Gameplay Rules:

No real specific rules, but keep to general R Ping etiquette. No ghosting (simply ignoring any attacks sent your character’s way); no autohitting (whether your character’s attack lands is up to the other player, not you); no taking control of other people’s characters, etc. Of course, this being etiquette and not laws, you can make breaches if they’re discussed with the other player beforehand.

The only real rule is that GM rulings are final, and must be obeyed, though if you have objections these rulings can be politely discussed.

And of course, obey all Forum Rules, especially those specific to the RP Forums.

Once you’re done here, head on over to the Discussion Thread (Don’t try and read it all, we prefer our players alive) and the actual game thread.

Your G Ms (Makaioh, Meanken, wikkit and Katarsus) hope you enjoy your time playing in A Game of Gods: Nemesis.

Alrighty then. Let's go nuclear.

  • Name: Punished "Venom" Snake (Calling him either moniker or just Snake is fine with him)
  • Age: 52 as of The Phantom Pain
  • Appearance: The Man Who Sold The World
  • Universe: Metal Gear (More specifically, during The Phantom Pain)
  • Personality: He is calm, cool, and collected, but he does have a more humorous side, even if it's not often shown in the line of work. He cares for his troops and treats them with respect and would likely do the same for any potential allies, even if he prefers to work alone. Make no mistake, this does not mean he's soft, in fact, wronging him greatly can make him vengeful to the point of self-destruction.
  • Backstory:
    • Back in the days of Peace Walker, he was an integral part of MSF, Militaries Sans Frontières or "Soldiers Without Borders" for short. A few years later in the late stages of the Cold War, he witnessed the destruction of Mother Base in Cipher's hands and was sent into a coma from a bomb planted inside Paz, a friend of his. 9 years later, he wakes up from the coma (with a bunch of foreign bodies (i.e. shrapnel, bone, etc) and a missing arm), reborn as Venom Snake and created Diamond Dogs to take revenge on Cipher and XOF, a splinter faction created by Skull Face.
    • Now, you're probably wondering why I didn't reference Operation Snake Eater and glossed over the Peace Walker days. The reason is simple, this man is not the real Big Boss, but rather, a body double, brainwashed to think he is the real deal and was to fill in his shoes while Big Boss creates Outer Heaven without them. Venom Snake is actually a combat medic who accompanied his boss during the escape from Mother Base and took the blast for him.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment: He is versatile when it comes to combat operations, but tends to favor stealth.
    • Peak Human Physiology: He's not exactly Batman in those terms, but more like a Navy SEAL or an equivalent in your country, wherever it is. He can run as fast as a professional runner in a near indefinite amount of time, strong enough to (with enough momentum) lay a guy out in one punch, and can soak up a few bullets. But, like a human, he can't take a whole lot outside of certain outfits, and even then, armor-piercing rounds can put him down. He also cannot bring too much gear as that would weigh him down and make him a sitting duck.
    • CQC: A master of hand-to-hand combat in case a point blank fire would not cut it. This is further supplemented by his bionic arm for a little extra force.
    • Hallucinations: Due to the shrapnel embedded in his brain, he sometimes sees strange things, like a flaming whale eat a helicopter. No joke. And at times, can hinder him in combat.
    • Bionic Arm: The replacement for his left arm. It can do everything his normal arm used to do and more, such as creating a sonar for any living beings within a 100 feet, but the marks stay in place, which can be not as helpful on more mobile targets.
    • Firearms: No self-respecting soldier should leave home without one. He has a wide variety of weapons, but he does not get to use higher grade weapons right away (More Details are listed here).
      • Sidearms: He can pick a Pistol (WU S. Pistol, Non-Lethal) or Submachine Gun (Ze'Ev, Lethal) for close-medium range combat.
      • Primary Weapons (Hip): This type is used for the more medium weapons such as a UN-ARC (Non-Lethal), the S1000 Shotgun (Lethal), and Isando RGL-220 (Non-Lethal with Stun Grenades).
      • Primary Weapons (Back): This type is usually reserved for heavier weapons such as LPG-61 Light Machine Gun (Lethal), the M-2000 Sniper Rifle (Non-Lethal), the Grom-11 Rocket Launcher (Lethal), and a Shield.
      • Support Weapons: These can be thrown items such as grenades, decoys, or empty magazines, or placed items such as mines.
    • Miscellaneous Items: These can be either a cigar that speeds up the flow of time for him when not under stress, night-vision goggles, drugs that help his aim or stealth, or, you guessed it, cardboard boxes.
    • Outfits: Clothes suited for stealth or combat. Some suits can do one job better than others, depending on the area or situation.
      • Combat Fatigues: The standard garbs in camouflage worn in both combat and stealth. Comes with a nifty scarf or a shirtless edition.
      • Sneaking Suit: A dark, tight suit designed for stealth by decreasing the sound of his footsteps, but is no durable than him going shirtless.
      • Battle Dress: An armored suit designed to increase survivability when stealth is no longer a favorable option by helping him tank sustained fire and explosions. However, it does hinder his movement and enough fire, armor-piercing attacks, or other means can still kill him.
    • Binoculars: Helps him scope out areas and persons of interest before making a move.
  • Why are they on Team Hero?: He managed to stop Skull Face from profiteering on easily-made nukes, unleashing the English strain of the vocal cord parasite, and using Sahelanthropus to spark global fear of a nuclear apocalypse. The fact that he is not the real Big Boss, of whom he left his comrades to die in order to create Outer Heaven certainly helps his case. On top of that, he refuses to kill child soldiers and, if he has the time, rescues prisoners and animals in warzones.

  • Name: Suika Ibuki
  • Age: Definitely above drinking age.
  • Appearance: Errybody in the club gettan tipsay. She's a short little motherfucker, only about 4'8", and age-wise looks like she hasn't reached puberty yet.
  • Universe: Touhou Project
  • Personality: A friendly and generous soul, to the end. She's extremely energetic and outgoing, to the point where her boundless enthusiasm is often grating especially if you're the only one around. While she's lived quite a long time, her nature means she takes things at face value often enough, since she's not inclined to believe that strangers would lie to someone's face. Treachery and deceit are one of the only surefire ways to get her angry, and she herself refuses to tell lies or use backhanded tactics to get over others, even when lives are at stake. If you can't take your opponent head on and fairly, you probably shouldn't be fighting them in the first place. She's not exactly dumb, but she's a very simplistic person in any case. Most importantly, she drinks endlessly. Her natural state of being is tipsy. If she is not at the very least buzzed, something has gone very wrong. The only thing funner than drinking with friends for her is punching your friends' lights out while drinking (not just anyone, of course, but people that could actually put up a fight). She may not be an asshole, but she's a rowdy not-asshole.
  • Backstory: A resident of Gensokyo for a very long time. She's famous for being one of the Four Devas of The Mountain, a quartet of Oni who were strong enough to get their own title and subjugate multiple other races under their command, but those days have long since passed. Lately, she tried to create more parties in Gensokyo and got beaten up by half the cast for it, punched the moon and didn't get into much trouble for it, and then personally invaded Heaven and beat up a local girl, and in exchange she got a few acres of land and a nice day spent drinking with an oarfish for it.
  • Powers/Equipment:
    • Oni Physiology: They are really quite strong, durable, the works. She can heft about eight tons maximum, and she's quite good at ignoring blows up to and including small arms fire (partially because she's drunk), but larger weapons or things especially made to pierce armor should do good damage. She doesn't regenerate extraordinarily or anything, so wounds that she accumulates stay. Also, Oni have a liver of titanium, she can imbibe ridiculous amounts of alcohol safely. Also also, Oni don't like beans. That is, physical contact with any plant that can be considered a legume causes intense, burning pain. Why? I don't know, but that's the truth. She doesn't like Kahlua for a good reason.
    • Make My Touhou Grow: She can get bigger. The limit is an even 12 feet at most. She doesn't gain any additional strength from it, and aside from the additional body mass she isn't any more durable.
    • Split: Suika can divide herself into multiple copies of herself, essentially sharing a hive mind among them. The split is equal to both size and strength, so if she splits into two 2 foot tall copies each is only half as strong. The maximum division is 1/10th, which puts each copy at about 5.6 inches tall. Cannot be used in conjunction with her growing ability, cannot fly while split, and naturally the smaller she gets the easier she is to harm.
    • Danmaku: Like just about everyone else in Gensokyo, she shoots people with magical bullets. These are usually more like individual orbs which fly quickly and make a concussive blast on contact.
    • Flight: She can...levitate! Not very fast, and most importantly it's pretty hard to navigate in three dimensions while drunk off your ass.
    • Intangibility: Her power is described as control over density, and with it she can make herself turn into a fine mist. What exactly a vaporised oni is comprised of is unknown to science at the moment. She cannot interact with anything else while in mist form, but she can float freely anywhere and disperse herself enough to become hard to see, though regrouping herself isn't instant. She can maintain this form for about 5 seconds, with around 3 minutes in between uses.
    • Ibuki Gourd: It's a gourd which has a limitless amount of sake flowing out of it. This is not caused by enchantments and instead is inexplicably excreted by a rare creature called a sake bug, which looks sort of like a catfish and is firmly contained within the gourd. It only pours out at a rate like you'd expect a bottle to pour at, but the alcohol's quality can only be described as "good shit".
  • Why are they on Team Hero?: She's not a paragon of good behaviour or anything, but she's far removed from villainy. Ultimately, she wants to have a good time, and kids should know that you can't have a good time by associating with ne'er-do-wells and cowards.

Okay here's a dude for team hero.

Name: Sergeant Sousuke Sagara, Callsign Urzu 7
Age: 18 (At some point after the 8th-ish book)
Appearance: Here are a few images of him in various situations. While his exact ethnicity is unknown, it is highly likely that it is an Afghan-Japanese hybrid. He generally wears a white buttoned t-shirt and black pants.
Universe: Full Metal Panic
Personality: Due to his upbringing in a war infested area, Sousuke is fairly inept in normal society. He has a bit of paranoia and a militaristic approach to everything and everyday life. He always has the best interests at heart when he helps someone but sometimes goes about it the wrong way. He is very hard working and will try his best at whatever he sets out, especially if it is for a friend.
Backstory: After surviving a 747 crash at the age of three, Sousuke was raised in Soviet orphanages until the age of eight, when he was recruited into a top-secret KGB operation to raise child assassins, and then sent on a failed operation in Afghanistan. He spent some time fighting for the people he had been sent to kill, against the Soviet occupiers, and then spent half a decade as a soldier of fortune in the region. Following that, he was recruited into Mythril, a mercenary organization, and became one of its best operatives and giant-robot-pilots. During this time, he became involved in dismantling a massive global conspiracy... starting by infiltrating a Japanese high school. Over several months he learned a bit about Japanese culture, and more importantly, set to work on developing a weaponized animal costume.
Powers: While for the most part Sousuke is a normal human, he has one aspect that is effectively a superpower in practice. While the rest of his physical characteristics are simply in the well-above-average category, his durability is at the extreme end of what a human being can endure.
  • Concealed Weapons: Sousuke is capable of concealing a veritable armory's worth of weapons on his person. He can store weapons and ammunition he encounters, or pull out just about any man-portable weapon that existed before roughly year AD 2010 - ranging from tasers, lead pipes, pistols, and grenades, all the way to long-barrel rifles, shotguns, lightweight machine guns, and rocket and grenade launchers.
Abilities
  • Soldiering: Sousuke is a soldier who is hardened by a lifetime of fighting. He is skilled with all manner of modern arms, tactics, hand-to-hand techniques, vehicle driving, crime scene investigation, anti-terrorism techniques, and advanced interrogation. As a result of his time working as a mercenary, he is literate and fluent in English, Japanese and Persian. He can also speak some Russian as well as several local Afghan languages and dialects fluently.
  • Mech Piloting: While Sousuke doesn't have his trusty Arbalest mech with him, should the situation ever depend on it, he is extremely skilled at piloting a mech. He's pretty much the Michelangelo of killing people in giant robots.
Equipment: Sousuke typically doesn't carry anything special aside from his own clothing, a cell phone, and his arsenal of weapons. If he is alerted ahead of time that he will be brought into a combat situation, he will bring along a stereotypical soldier ensemble (green jacket, camo pants, bulletroof vest, military boots). He does, however, have one special piece of equipment.
  • Bonta-kun: An animal mascot costume from an amusement park that Sousuke stole and then modified with spare Arm Slave parts. It is bulletproof to the point of being immune to pistol fire, shrapnel, smaller-caliber rifle fire, and resistant to higher-caliber rounds and dampens the effects of larger explosions to a small degree. It is computerized with a full heads-up-display, local lifesign detector, radio, multispectrum optics, a lock that only allows him to access the software systems, and an air filter and air supply for dealing with chemical situations. It has a faulty voice modulator, resulting in him being incapable of saying anything over speakers or comms besides some portmanteau of the phrase "fumoffu". Whether or not Sousuke brings it with him depends on the information provided ahead of time. It's probably just going to be hidden under his bed if not being used.
  • I didn't include his giant robot because it's a giant robot.
Why are they on Team Hero?: Sousuke is used to dedicating himself - both personally and in his career - to the protection of others, and can be considered somewhat "straight-laced" (albeit quirky).

Okiedokie, Venom Snake. Give me the weapons he has on him. Ammo will be provided, but he can't swap them out. If his outfits give him special abilities, either list the ones he has available in the signup, or stick to one and tell me what it can do. Also, are you sure he's a hero?

On to Suika, I'd like to limit her strength to eight tons. That's a bit less than boulders single-handed, but it's still around two cars in each hand. Resistance to small arms fire is cool, but bigger weapons and armor-piercing weapons will break through. I want a limit of ten of her running around at the same time. If you want, you can have flight and intangibility back, but she cannot hit things while intangible and she can't fly while split. I assume the split also reduces her durability?

And for Sousuke, is "can pull any man-portable weapon out of his ass" a magic power, or is he just hiding a ton of shit on him?

From his perspective, or at least in universe he comes from, he is simply hiding them away extremely well. But I would say that it is basically magic in our universe (or the universe the RP is in), due to the laws of nature being different.

Well, compared to who he fights against and even at his worst he wouldn't hurt the Child Soldiers and cares for his soldiers, he is somewhat of a hero. There's an entire system called "Heroism" which is based on doing good deeds such as rescuing prisoners and animals from the warzone. It also helps that the real Big Boss left Kaz, and by an extent Diamond Dogs, to die to create Outer Heaven, and assigned Venom Snake to take his place for them. I think that's some good reasons, but I'll leave the decision to allow him up to you.

As for the weapons I think I'll pick one for each of the categories: Lethal vs. Non-Lethal. He can pick either or, but he sticks with what he chooses for the entire challenge and stuck with the designations I stated above, so he can't have a shotgun and a grenade launcher or a Sniper Rifle and a Rocket Launcher, for example and must not have two weapons of the same type.

For the Armor, he has the Camouflage, Sneaking Suit, and the Battle Dress. I decided that the Parasite Suit would be too much, so I decided to omit it.

Ore-O: He's not gonna have an armory available to him. Pick his four non-lethal guns, and his four lethal guns, and he has to stick with those through the game. And what do those outfits do?

This is not my original sign up; one of the other players, Truth Hurts 22, signed up with this but has left the game. I adopted the character; reposting truth's sign up here so it can be linked to me and I can edit it in the future if i need to.

Name: Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden

Age: Early to mid thirties, series was never quite clear

Appearance: Chicago's first (and only) Wizard Detective.◊. For reference he's 6' 9"

Universe: Dresden Files

Personality: Harry is, for lack of a better term, a swell guy. He does what he does because he wants to help others and doesn't like it when bad things happen to good people. He can be a bit too chivalrous towards women, however; if there's a lady he deems "incapable" of handling danger (or at least his scale of danger), he'll often jump in to aid them, whether they want it or not. This is also because he can be very stubborn, near impossible to get his mind off of something, especially if it involves somebody's life. He's got some anti-authoritarian views that mostly boils down to him disliking people not doing the right thing with their authority, but it also means he doesn't like it when people order him to do things. He also enjoys making jokes, especially at his enemy's expense, to the point of it being a defense-mechanism; distracting him from what he's fighting so he doesn't pass out. Or puke. Or lose his mind. Y'know, stuff like that. Backstory: You can go on for days about what Harry's done up to this point, but we'll just stick to relevant information: Born to a wizard mother and a mortal magician father. His mother died at birth and, after a few years on the road due to his occupation, his father died of an aneurysm. He was orphaned for most of his childhood, developed magical abilities around 10 years, was then adopted by fellow wizard Justin Du Morne to become his apprentice. He trained under Du Morne for the rest of his childhood and well into his teen years until it turned out Du Morne was a big bad warlock that wanted to enslave both Harry and Harry's also-adopted sister, Elaine. The latter was already brainwashed so Harry booked it away from Du Morne, only to return later to save her. Justine died in the battle, and Harry fled again, grabbing a special artifact from the burning house. After a run-in with the wizard police, a sentencing to death, a redirection to parole under threat of death, and another bout of being mentored (give or take a few years of employment), Harry hit the mean streets of Chicago as it's first Wizardly P.I. A lot of other, complicated things happened, and so Harry ends up where he is now: Drowning in a cold Chicago harbor mere hours after risking everything in his life to save the daughter he found out yesterday even existed. Yeah. Eventful life.

Powers/Abilities: Harry is a wizard, meaning he has control of magic, or the "essence of life and creation". All wizards come pre-packaged with the following abilities;

Soulgaze: When a wizard looks into someone's eyes, he sees more than just what color they are. Eyes are windows to the soul. When they make eye contact for too long, or too intently, she gets to peek in through the windows. You can't hide what you are from a wizard's soulgaze. And he can't hide from you. You both see each other for what you are, within, and it's with a clarity so intense that it burns itself into your head. Looking on someone's soul is something you never forget—no matter how badly you might want to. Of course a soulgaze requires both participants to have a soul, so it's not a risk when starring at animals or creatures without them. Two people can only share a soulgaze once, and after that it stays with you forever, always fresh in your mind.

True Sight: The ability to see the world as it truly is. For example, if a wizard sees a man whose wife has just died, he might see the man with sword wounds all over his body. It is also able to pierce through various illusions. It has a major flaw that prevents it from being commonly used, that what is seen is never forgotten. While there is a chance of seeing something positive, the chances are that the wizard would see enough negative sights to drive him into complete insanity.

Wizard Sense: It's similar to "Spidey sense" in how it works. Instead of danger, what it detects is Magic in its natural state and worked forms. Wards, for instance, are invisible to the normal eye, but a wizard would be able to sense when they are present.

As he is a wizard, he, of course, is able to control magic and unleash it as physical matter. This ability is tied to a number of factors: the emotion one uses to draw the energy in, the intention of the person using it, etc, that shape how the spell comes out. It also draws on the actual energy from the caster - the bigger the spell is, the more energy it takes to cast, thus the more energy the wizard ends up using - and so even the best wizards need to take breathers between large bouts of spell-casting. Harry, however, has a certain edge. Due to a run-in with the fallen angel Uriel, he is able to enfuse his fire-magic with Soulfire, the actual force of creation. As the name implies, this will take directly from Harry's own soul, so he doesn't use it often or a lot when he does use it.

For a list of the spells Harry is capable of doing, see here. For a better, longer explanation on how the magic works, look here.

Nerfs: Well, only one-or-two of them would actually be considered nerfs, as most of the things proposed are actual things Harry has to deal with. But for the sake of convenience:

Force Spells: can launch an average human fifty meters. They will stop if they hit a solid object. All spells can be dodged, especially fire spells. Any AOE spells are limited to a five-meter radius. His magic no longer breaks electronics.

No soulgazing without the other persons' permission.

Any thaumaturgy, over-the-top rituals, creation of magical potions or creation of magical artifacts will need to be cleared by the G Ms first.

No binding creatures to his will, or breaking into other people's minds. If a spell can knock down a two-story building without careful aiming (if he's specifically going for supporting walls and columns) and can just knock the building down on strength alone, it's being reduced to "knock out a concrete wall" level.

As for the shield bracelet, I want you to be reasonable in what it can tank. A couple dozen bullets, a few super-strong punches, a blast or two of lighting or fire. A rocket launcher will punch right through it.

You should also keep in mind Harry's weaknesses: his general skill level, the tiring nature of magic, the amount of time some rituals will take, and the seven laws of magic (including the fact that he can't use these spells to kill anything that's not a monster, without being driven insane by dark magic).

Equipment: Wizards who go around, flinging fireballs without anything to help is one that will most likely die in the first few minutes of an actual fight. Staffs, wands, rods, and the like are all very important tools for wizards to have, and Harry is no exception. (Technically speaking, at the time that I'm taking Harry from, literally all of his stuff is gone, but for the purposes of the roleplay I'm going to assume that through spacey-dimensional-bullshit he'll have it in the games).

Staff: A long wooden stick with runes etched into the top. Held in the left hand, as the left side is the side that takes energy in, is used for the more subtle magic (Calling wind, channeling lightning, putting up barriers of force).

Blasting Rod: Much like the staff but more wand-like, it too helps channel the energy that wizards use, only with much less precision. It's used by Harry when he just wants to blast fire at things, which is a lot of the time.

Shield Bracelet: A chain made up of various metals with shields of various metal hanging from it. A step-up from the old bracelet, which only stopped physical things, this bracelet can stop a multitude of attacks, be they physical, magical, elemental, and so on. It still needs energy to function, though, and the more specific the shield the more energy it would use.

Energy-storing Rings: These rings - three bands of silver which runes inscribed on the inside, one for each finger - can store small amounts of energy which he can then expel without having to draw it in himself. Given the nature of the rings, the only magic he can actually use it for is plain old force.

Silver Pentacle necklace: An heirloom from his late mother, he's kept it all his life. It's mostly a keepsake, though it can be used for drawing up a dim light should he need it.

Why are they on Team Hero?: Given the fact that he only helps the good, fights the bad, and has never raised a hand to an innocent should be evidence enough. Plus, if he was on the same team as Nicodemus, he'd probably rage against one heaven or another.

I'd like to officially request to add on the winter mantel for Harry dresden. A magic bonding to his soul that here will give him these things:

Peak human physical condition: with some time in the gym he'll resemble a gold star Olympic athlete. Not super human. Also pain won't really bother him.

Harsh urges of violent behavior: not much game play wise, it's more character effecting.

Weakness to cold iron: if iron or a derived metal pierces his skin it causes extreme pain that the mantel can't block and make him nearly unable to function.

Extreme resistance to the cold and ability to keep balance on all kinds of ice.

Ice magic mastery: biggest boon of the mantel. He'll gain master over the ice school of elemental magic. This will let him have control over the temperature of objects and the environment around him, as well as the ability to synthesis large amounts of ice in a small amount of time. It's not nearly as destructive as fire magic is, more based on ice utility, such as freezing the trigger on a gun or covering the ground in ice to give himself a mobility advantage. The most powerful thing he can do with it snap freeze things by covering them with ice, usually an instakill in canon. To account for this, while he can generate a small amount of ice quickly, any attempts to snap freeze things will be slower and have a visual cue around whatever that is so people can dodge if they're quick.

  • Name: Nue Houjuu
  • Age: Unknown, at least 800 years old
  • Appearance: You can't grasp the true form. Will only take on this form if she gets found out or gets comfortable.
  • Universe: Touhou
  • Personality: A very traditional youkai in that she is very mischievous and loves playing malicious pranks on others. She especially doesn't like getting found out or getting her true form exposed. In her past, she was responsible for terrorizing human settlements to see them scurry around in fear, and was sealed for an extended period of time as a result. She's been around for a very long time, and treats everyone as younger than her.
  • Backstory: Nue has been terrorizing humanity for hundreds of years, and is one of the most feared and mysterious youkai in history. When magic started disappearing from the world, she went to Gensokyo. There she got to know about the Buddhist priestess Byakuren Hijiri, who treated humans and youkai as equal, and who won Nue's respect. Nue helped her break free from her seal and has been living on and off at the Buddhist shrine since, but she's still very much a mysterious and capricious youkai.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
    • Youkai (Nue): Doesn't die of old age and resistant towards physical attacks. However, weak against faith-based abilities and can be damaged by magic.
    • Ability to make things unidentifiable
      • Nue can plant Seeds of Unknown Form in objects so that their true form is concealed. This doesn't change the nature of the object itself, but instead makes it appear as something else. The mind of the observer fills in the blanks, which is individual to each person seeing it, but making it seem like something that is not out of place in the object's location.
      • Nue can also disguise her true form. Over the time she has used a number of monstrous forms or made herself a vague existence that can not be identified except by powerful magic. This power goes from visual shapeshifting to changing what sounds she makes and how she smells.
    • Danmaku: Like any true Gensokyoan, she can fight with magical projectiles in various scary Spell Card patterns.
      • Bow of Genzanmi Yorimasa: A magical recreation of one of the few weapons to have ever wounded her. She can fire it like a normal bow, or incorporate it in a Spell Card attack.
    • Flight: Surprisingly fast, despite the strange shape of her wings.
    • Trident: Youkai-forged, so nearly indestructible and very pointy. Otherwise no known enchantment.
  • Why are they on Team Villain?: Her greatest motivation is to instill fear in humans and other lesser beings, and she takes great pleasure in terrorizing innocents with her monstrous forms.

Annnnnd I finally realized I could actually play a Villain.

  • Name: Shirou Emiya
  • Age: 17
  • Appearance: "Are you ready to fight, Champion of Justice?~" "Just an unimportant no-name..."
  • Universe: Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya
  • Personality: A rather worn down and lemony young man colored by the events of the Fuyuki Grail War, Emiya Shirou is quite frankly someone who stopped giving a shit a long time ago. He has great disrespect for people who gets in the way of his goals and doesn't hesitate in doing his best to make his displeasure known through snark and sword. Practical and pragmatic to a great degree, fair play is but a concept to him that only serves to get a person killed faster. That said, despite his sour worldview, the man is capable of showing a soft side towards those that he considers friends and family. It is even safe to say that he "disregards the many in favor of the few", choosing to focus his devotion on people who have gained his trust and letting those unfamiliar strangers save themselves from their own folly. The greatest adversary to his enemies and the most adoring figure to his loved ones, Shirou is a person that goes to the extremes for all that he meets.
  • Backstory: His past self dying in a great fire, young Emiya Shirou was freed from the rubble of a collapsed building by one Emiya Kiritsugu, the infamous Magus Killer. Raised from his second life by the man who took on the role of both mentor and adoptive father, Shirou learned proper magecraft from the man unlike the "main" timelines as well other such important lessons such as the ideals of a "Hero". It was due to this idealism in heroics that the two would one day pick up the third member of their family, Miyu Sakatsuki: The Child of God. Due to the great powers that those of the Sakatsuki lineage wields, the two had originally meant to use her as a way to prevent any future war and human suffering from happening... until Shirou grew to regard her more as a person than a means to an end. Their bonds growing closer, Shirou soon found himself willing to raise Miyu as a human. It was after this had happened that Kiritsugu finally succumbed to his terminal illness, but not before telling his son to become a Hero.
    • After a few years of a quiet but satisfying life, the peace was shattered by the event known as the Fuyuki Grail War which was instigated by the Ainsworth Clan. Because of Miyu's importance as the perfect vessel for the Holy Grail, Shirou experienced hell on Earth as his sister was taken and his kouhai Sakura Matou was killed by one of the participants of the War, Shinji Matou. Before he too could be slain by crazed lunatic wielding the power of Assassin, Shirou reached out to the Archer Card given to him by Sakura and called upon a certain entity that he found great if not perfect synchronization with. Now armed with the power to fight back, Shirou went and won the entire war by himself by slaughtering all the other Card Installers before wishing upon the Grail to transport his precious sister to a world where she didn't need to worry about such horrible things and could live freely. Of course, this bit him in the ass given he was imprisoned and used as a bargaining chip to lure the girl back home... up until the alternate universe sent in people that gave a giant middle finger to the Ainsworth's machinations and screwed up the war by reuniting both siblings together once more. He is currently enjoying the peace while he still can, knowing full well that the worst is yet to come...
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment: Emiya Shirou is a properly trained magus this time around, and as such he has a lot more knowledge about how magecraft and Prana works while also lacking his other timeline's stupidly risky method of self-mutilating self-created Magic Circuits. As a result of this, his magecraft is much more safe and reliable to pull off with a lot less harm to his own body. On the other hand, he also lacks Avalon inside of him due to there not being a Fourth Holy Grail War before the current one.
  • Reinforcement and Structural Grasping: Originally the only set of techniques that could be reliably used by this version of Shirou along with Structural Grasping Magecraft. Reinforcement lets Shirou analyze the structural composition of an object, and increase its effectiveness, such as making it more durable or its shape more practical, or return it to its original state. He can also use it to improve upon the physical capabilities of his own body, such as his eyesight, allowing him to see as far as four kilometers away. Structural Grasp Magecraft meanwhile allows him to understand the structure and design of objects as if he were viewing a blueprint- basically letting him see inside objects as well as view their histories. With the two in hand, Shirou is capable of performing feats such as turning a cheap handheld umbrella into a shield that could ward off one of pseudo-Servant's attack or turning regular wooden rulers sharp enough to slice through steel pipes as though they were tofu.
  • Tracing: Gained from Installing the Archer Card, this allows Shirou to utilize his alternate future's self's ability to wield the Gradiation Air magecraft to great effect, which is basically creating something from almost nothing. By solidifying his Prana, the magus is able to create physical copies of objects he's seen before: usually pertaining to swords, medieval weapons, armors/shields and simple objects such as vases or chairs. Shirou usually uses Tracing to create Noble Phantasms that are slightly inferior from the originals to wield though he can also copy less fantastic weapons for later usage. The process of Tracing is divided into seven steps:
1) Judging the concept of creation
2) Hypothesizing the basic structure
3) Duplicating the composition material
4) Imitating the skill of its making
5) Sympathizing with the experience of its growth
6) Reproducing the accumulated years
7) Excelling every manufacturing process
  • Kanshou and Bakuya: Ganjiang and Mo Ye: His usual go-to weapons when Tracing Noble Phantasm: twin curving scimitar-like swords sporting a yin yang motif that are magnetically attracted to each other when either one or both of the paired weapons are thrown through the air, working like guided boomerangs of a sort. He can create up to three pairs of Kanshou and Bakuya at a time, wielding one while the other two are thrown about in whirlwind of violence and sharpness. They have a shamanistic quality to them due to being created from human sacrifice from their history and are reasonably enchanted enough to be more than mortal weapons while being sharp and heavy enough to cut inhuman creatures with ease. By injecting more Prana than usual into the married swords, he can grow them out into much rougher looking blades that are twice as long and jutting out with irregular feather-like sharp edges. At this point in time, these things are just short of exploding into a localized shrapnel-storm that could be used as impromptu time-bombs if he decides to go that route. Also has an anti-demon engraving that makes it hit pretty hard against such things.
  • Ig-Alima: Green Field Cutting Through the Thousand Mountains (The Mountain Felling Sword): An oversized broadsword of gigantic proportions that one can use as a bridge or even a small dueling platform. It is labeled as a Divine Construct and thus really hard to break. Due to its size and heft, no one can really wield the sword in a conventional manner so Shirou usually just Traces it into existence to crush things with its weight from overhead or to use as an impromptu barricade due to it being really hard to finesse something this honking huge. It is nerfed to the maximum size down to twenty feet long and four feet wide and roughly weighs about ten tons.
  • Nine Lives Blade Works: The Shooting Hundred Heads: A Noble Phantasm taking the form of a large crudely carved out stone weapon resembling both axe and sword at once, it is made from a stone pillar from the Heracles' legend. Shirou uses this sword for when he wants to pummel things real good. Usually he has to Reinforce himself a fair deal to even lift the thing off the ground. It is a Noble Phantasm but also a technique at the same time, which allows Shirou to perform a successive series of high speed strikes to fragile parts of the body that such a large weapon shouldn't be capable of performing. The attacks are done in the order of: upper arm, collarbone, windpipe, temple, diaphragm, rib, testicles, and thighs before thrusting out at the heart.
  • Archer's Bow and Clothes: A bow and armor set made from sturdy materials yet to be discovered in the modern day due to it being from the future but brought to the past. They are really enduring and you need magic or a great deal of force to break them. Shirou only gets the clothes when Card Installing, though he can Trace the Bow. The Bow is used to fire off regular traced arrows or swords that have been converted into more streamlined forms to use in lieu of arrows. Shirou is incredibly accurate with the ranged weapon. The better quality the "arrow" the more force it can deliver on impact, with a salvo being able to punch through concrete walls when rapid-fired. As an added bonus, Broken Phantasms can be shot as well for big booms.
  • Shroud of Martin: A Holy Shroud that Shirou wears that helps stabilize the him of now and the him of the future from mixing too much and being overwritten.
  • Caladbolg II: The Fake Spiral Sword: An altered version of the original Caladbolg sword, it is changed so it could function as an arrow even though it's a sword. Its aerodynamic and spiralling shape lets it drill through the very air itself and punch straight through a lot of defensive magics and even castle walls. After it embeds itself into something where it can't drill through anymore, if Shirou pursues the Broken Phantasm path, then it'll cause a swirling implosion that sucks in the surrounding air and matter before exploding out into an intensely hot explosion. The space carving features have been outright nerfed for Caladbolg II for the game, so now it's more of an an exploding anti-material round that can blow up a small house with ease. The arrow can be shot from four kilometers away. Shirou can probably create around three at the most before he has to recharge his Prana if he wants to use the Broken Phantasm features. He uses it with the incantation aria of: "My core is twisted in madness."
  • Hrunting: Hound of Red Plains: A modified version of the original Beowulf's weapon through Reinforcement, Hrunting is a darkly colored asymmetrical blade of irregular curves that for all intents and purposes, can be used as a sort of super arrow that can be launched at anti-material speeds. It's basically Caladbolg II without the ridiculous drilling and following explosion so its power is lesser than that sword turned arrow, but as a result, it also takes less prana to fire off so Shirou can project five of them, with each subsequent round growing in both strength and speed if he extends the aiming time between by five seconds per following arrow. The pitch black blade turns into a red magical bullet once fired and it gets a brief homing ability.
  • Rulebreaker:Destroyer of All Talismans: A really brittle and jagged looking ritual dagger plucked from the Grecian witch Medea. It outright sucks as a weapon due to its horrible balance and design, though as a Noble Phantasm, it's still good enough to lop off someone's arm with its stupid shape if Shirou is empowered by Servant level abilities. Rulebreaker has the power to destroy "contracts", such as magical slavery, geas, or binding promises. To activate its contract destroying abilities, Rulebreaker must be thrust into someone or something with Shirou knowing that they have a contract in the first place since it works off of intent. He can outright sever the thing, or transfer "ownership" to himself.
  • Black Keys: Anti-vampire/demonic weapons bought at a ridiculous price from Kirei the Ramen Chef, Shirou says they're quite shitty as a weapon due to their stupidly short hilt, long blades, weight, and idiotic balance. Still, they can be useful against the right things. Usually held in a fan formation (Wolverine style in between the fingers), these odd weapons are best used thrown at high speeds towards their target. Due to Shirou being able to read their History, he knows exactly how to use them against the damned and can move like a Church Executor would.
  • Rho Aias: The Seven Rings that Cover the Fiery Heavens: The shield of Aias the Great, Rho Aias takes on the form of a seven layered barrier of hardlight flower petals that protects the user's front from harm. Each layer is pretty sturdy and can take a lot of damage before dissipating. For the purposes of the rp, maybe each layer is strong enough to tank an anti-material rifle once? Shirou can usually only call up four petals outside of UBW or Card Installing, after which he can gain the full seven layers. It's also not a sword so Tracing it into existence means Shirou has to waste three times as much Prana to keep it in play.
  • Caliburn: Golden Sword of the Victorious: The legendary sword in the stone pulled forth by Arturia herself under the guidance of Merlin. Thought to be forever lost to the ages but revived into being by Shirou after seeing it in Archer's memories. It is a Divine Construct not of mortal make and created by the Faerie, being a sword too perfect to be crafted by human hands. Though weaker than Excalibur, it is still a very strong weapon in its own right and can fire off incredibly powerful waves of golden energy to pummel targets with or if the sword is injected into someone, rupture their insides with an explosion of gilded shockwaves to tear them asunder. Weakness of having a very obvious charge-up time where the user gets ready to swing a blade that's shining like a second sun for a few seconds. Powerful enough to tear asunder a castle rampart and punch clear through to smash a sizeable hole in the castle itself. The sword wave is restricted to ten feet high and two feet wide while taking the majority of Shirou's Prana, so it's used as one of his aces in the holes.
  • Archer Card: The Servant Card that Shirou can use to install into himself to become a pseudo-Servant. Unlike other people, he's actually installing himself through a really weird loophole and thus has Perfect Synchronization, which allows him to make full use of Archer's abilities and experiences. Using it is akin to having the Servant "invade" his body, and already the repeated usage have overwritten his Origin and Elemental Affinity into Sword. For all intents and purposes, he could be considered the Archer Servant in this form and as such his specs shoot up through the roof. Limit of five minutes with at least an hour before he could use the Card again. As a pseudo-Archer, he gets access to all of Archer's perks such as Eye of the Mind- True, Eagle Eye, and Magic Resistance D Rank. The first gives him the ability to predict danger to a certain extent by allowing him to correlate combat data at high speeds and create strategies to fight against stronger and faster opponents. The second one lets him be a ridiculously good sniper, able to land hit moving targets as long as they're within a four range kilometer of him, and the third gives him immunity to weak magic spells such as a simple fireball or a weak barrier.
    • Unlimited Blade Works: Infinite Creation of Swords: Shirou's Reality Marble and his ultimate trump card whereupon he projects his inner world out into the realms of reality. This takes the appearance of snowy plain with a mild blizzard, dotted with countless swords planted point first into the ground (around a block long I guess?). The user of the Reality Marble laments that the place is akin to a "graveyard" and he holds a flickering flame in his hand that depicts his burning life in the midst of coldness. UBW grants Shirou the ability to mentally control and fire off any of the swords in this plain without actually needing to touch them physically, as well as appear in the user's hands without needing to be materialized through Tracing. It is extremely Prana consuming and thus only used in the worst of situations since he's not liable to be able to do anything more physical than trying to stand after the incantation ends. Time limit of one minute and drains most of Shirou's Prana after each use. To recreate the world of Unlimited Blade Works, Shirou must call out a multiple count aria uninterrupted to summon the location to the real world:
"I am the bone of my sword. (His body is made out of swords )
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood. (His blood is of iron and his heart of glass )
I have created over a thousand blades. (He survived through countless battles)
Unaware of beginning, Nor aware of the end. (Never once retreating, nor attaining victory)
Withstood pain with inconsistent weapons. My hands will never hold anything." (The orphan is alone again, striking diamond dust on a hill of swords)
Yet, my flame never ends. (But this life is not yet over)
My whole body was still Unlimited Bade Works!" (This false body was still made of swords!)
  • Why are they on Team Hero/Villain?: Villain, due to the very fact he was willing to stop a plot that could have saved the entire human population from self-destructing and becoming extinct in the next few hundred years. Also cause he's willing to do just about anything to reach his goals.

  • Name: Kefka Palazzo

  • Age: 36

  • Appearance: Son of a submariner! (Alternate image)

  • Universe: Final Fantasy VI

  • Personality: At first glance, Kefka seems to be a bumbling (if highly unpleasant) clown. It would be a mistake to judge him based on his appearance, however. Kefka is a psychopath with no regard for human life, a war criminal, a serial backstabber, and a megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur and poor self control. At the same time, Kefka is a coward who will quickly forfeit a fight if it doesn't go his way. Kefka takes great pride in his appearance and takes care to wear makeup, eyeliner, and flamboyant clothing. Kefka can cooperate with others and carry out instructions as necessary, but will betray his allies without a second thought if he can get more power out of it. Kefka also has a sense of humor, twisted as it may be. He is fond of cackling like a complete madman.

  • Backstory: Little is known about Kefka's early history. When he was nineteen years of age, he underwent Magitek experimentation and became the Gestahlian Empire's first Magitek Knight. The process gave him the ability to use magic, which was thought to be impossible in his world, but wrecked his sanity as a result. Instead of being fielded as a General in the Imperial army, Kefka became the court mage, where he served as Emperor Gestahl's lapdog. Kefka committed many atrocities for the Empire, carried out multiple betrayals, and eventually attained godhood, ruining the entire planet in the process. As Kefka lorded over the wreckage of the Empire's old capital, his rivals, the Returners, banded together from across the globe and carried out an all-out attack on his tower. Kefka was killed after an epic battle, ending his evil reign and freeing the world of magic forever.

  • Powers: Kefka is a Magitek Knight, and is imbuied with the power to use black magic.

    • Firaga: Kefka summons/throws a fireball at his target that explodes into a burst of flame on impact.

    • Blizzaga: Kefka summons a thick wall of ice that can freeze whole objects solid.

    • Thundaga: Kefka summons powerful bolts of lightning. Thundaga is more taxing on Kefka's mana reserves than Blizzaga or Firaga.

    • Poison: Kefka coats his target in globs of green poison, which can damage living beings but has little effect on machines, the undead, or inanimate objects.

    • Bio: Kefka summons a cloud of green bacterial matter, which can easily infect living beings but has little effect on machines, the undead, or inanimate objects. Bio is a more powerful form of Poison, but is more taxing on Kefka's mana reserves.

  • Abilities: Kefka lived in a technologically advanced empire, and seems to have some knowledge of using steampunk machinery. He also seems to be fairly agile in movement, able to jump up and down and bounce around the place tirelessly.

  • Equipment:

    • Flail: Weapon with a heavy, steel ball at the end of its chain. Kefka's main melee weapon.

Why are they on Team Villain?: War criminal, serial traitor, destroyer of an entire planet, proud member of the Complete Monster listing. Villain.

When in a fight, she is cold-hearted and sadistic, and does not taunt or gloat more than it's necessary. However, she is also masochistic, lazy, and sees humans as evil by nature. She can be seen eating and drinking frequently, particularly sweet treats.

    • Superhuman Durability: Thanks both to her rampant masochism and her devil physiology, Lune can endure incredible amounts of punishment and still continue fighting. Previously survived injuries include, but are not limited to: repeated blows to the back of the head with an iron pole, impalement, and levels of pain that could easily render an ordinary human unconscious.
    • Superhuman Strength: Like all devils, Lune is far stronger than an ordinary human, and is capable of throwing someone against a steel railing with enough force to greatly deform it.
    • New Magical Cloth Type 5-F (Vintage Variant): A multipurpose tool created from a gel dispensed through magic nanomachines, designed to assist a devil in any kind of situation. It is impervious to water, magnetism and magic, has a 50-year-warranty, and includes the following functions:
      • Flight: It enables the user to fly freely, without the assistance of any other flying object.
      • Decoy Creation: It can create one or more dolls that resemble the user or other people, complete with personality settings. It is important to note that they are meant to be used as decoys only and, because of the time it takes to make them, they are completely ineffective in combat.
      • Shapeshifting: It can change its size and shape freely, as well as return to its original form without any diffculties. It can also become any inanimate object the user is familiar with.
      • Cloaking: It has a special camouflage option that allows it to render itself, its user, and/or other people invisible. Even subtle noises can render the cloaking useless.
      • Appearance Alteration: It can modify clothing items and disguise the user's appearance for indefinite amounts of time.
      • Additional Hands: It can be turned into extra pairs of hands in order to grab objects.
      • Database: It can be used to store and access gathered information.
      • Restraining: It can be used as a means to restrain targets.
    • Magical Energy Detector Type GTS (Vintage Variant): A modified version of the standard Runaway Spirit Squad sensor. It is designed to react to divine energy emissions through a flashing light pointing in its direction, although its range is very limited. It can also be used for communication, roll calls, and tracking among users, as well as mapping anything in her line of sight within a 300m radius of herself. Like the above item, it is impervious to water, magnetism and magic. It has a 10-year warrranty.
    • Special Grade A Confinement Bottle B55S: A highly resistant bottle designed to magically suck in and capture spirits, although it can also hold living creatures and objects within as well, albeit only ones she can carry, and for no longer than half an hour in the case of animate beings. It can not only change its size, but also the size of its contents, although they do return to normal upon release. It has roughly 9,473 usages left. It is not advisable to store food in it, and a high concentration of magical energy can cause it to literally explode.
    • Utility Knife: Lune's weapon of choice. Its enchantments allow Lune to control the blade in any way she pleases by extending, bending, joining and dividing segments of it in any way. She can also cause it to release a small explosion.
    • Burnt Deinonychus Skeleton: A personal trophy she aquired during her captivity at the hands of Omega. It is currently shrunken inside the confinement bottle. One of her side projects involves finding a way to animate it.
    • Vintage Ceremonial Dagger: A particularly large knife with a black blade and a golden hilt. Vintage's symbol is engraved in it.
    • Bag: An ordinary bag. It is used to carry things.
  • Why is she on Team Villain?: Because, regardless of her cooperation with the Champions during her captivity, she's still a resentful sadistic monster with plans that most likely involve mass murder and destruction.

Nue Houjuu, Shirou Emiya, Kefka Palazzo and the Winter Mantle for Harry Dresden are all accepted without reservation. Please wait for introduction.

As for Lune, just two things: the mapping feature will work on line-of-sight, and the bottle can only hold things Lune can lift (so no cars, but maybe a motorcycle), and you need permission to capture people (and it can only hold people for half an hour).

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!

And then I took my bat, and people were like 'oh this kid, he's got potential, ya see, let's put him in some stuffy job because we all look like little girls next to him'— and I said screw off, I'm going to be a mercenary, I'm going to kick butts for a livin'! And check this, I got me this can of Bonk, which is tha' best drink- not getting paid for this but I sure as hell deserve some money, brand loyalty y'know?- and when I drink it, it makes me invincible for a couple of secs'— though I can't do much but run and I gotta refill that can later so, y'know, I save it for when they going gets though."
  • Why are they on Team Hero?: "Are you freaking kiddin' me?" At this point, Scout began removing his shirt and flexing in front of the interviewer. "You see dat? You seein' dis? No otha' class gonna do that."

And here's a dude for team villain.

Name: Aria T'Loak
Age: Exactl age unknown, although she's at least over 500 years old.
Appearance: Like so. Here's another and another. And one more. For an inexplicable reason, she sounds exactly like Carrie-Anne Moss. (Out-of-universe reason: She's voiced by Carrie-Anne Moss)
Universe: Mass Effect
Personality: Aria is very authoritative person and rules with an iron fist, incurring extreme loyalty from her men. No matter who she deals with, she makes sure she has the upper hand when bargaining. She is very possessive and prideful, and while usually capable as coming off as a cold, calculating bitch, she sometimes gives into wrath.
Backstory: Aleena was an asari commando who then went on to have a successful career as a mercenary. At some point in time, she adopted the identity of Aria T'Loak and arrived on Omega, a space station viewed as the headquarters of criminals across the galaxy. As a cover, she worked as an exotic dancer at the Afterlife Club until she killed the owner and claimed ownership for herself. She continued to form alliances and consolidate power before finally overthrowing the 'ruler' of Omega, a krogan whom she nicknamed The Patriarch and kept around her club as a symbol of her strength. As ruler, she only had one rule: Don’t fuck with Aria. She spent decades, if not centuries ruling over Omega with an iron fist, temporarily losing power during the chaos caused by an alien race known as the Reapers.
Powers: Aria is one of the most powerful biotics in the universe - someone who is capable of utilizing the naturally-occurring element zero in her body to manipulate mass and gravity, in an effect known as "mass effect". Akin to a form of scientific telekinesis, she can "push" and "pull" things near her with a wave of her hand. She can increase or decrease her apparent weight, "shoot" a burst out to significantly magnify the effect of her melee attacks, or temporarily generate a protective dome about 10 meters in diameter. She has a few more-complicated applications listed below. Unless otherwise stated, her attacks take the form of a high-speed-floating-energy-ball-thing, the effective force of her powers that exert force is about 600 Newtons for about a second, the regular damage of her damaging abilities is about that of a pistol bullet, her powerful damaging attacks are more like a high-caliber rifle bullet, and the maximum range she can use them from is about 30 meters.
  • Barrier: A passive ability, Aria is always projecting an invisible barrier around her that acts like a shield against anything that might harm her. It takes several powerful projectile or melee attacks to dissipate it, and she can regenerate it in about five seconds if she isn't still taking damage.
  • Warp: An attack that damages an enemy at a molecular level, it stops the targeted enemy from regenerating health for a ten second period after the damage is done.
  • Throw: A biotic blast that can toss an enemy through the air.
    • Pull: The same, but pulls people towards her.
  • Shockwave: A cascading shockwave that can potentially topple several people in its way.
  • Singularity: Creates a sphere of dark energy that traps and dangles enemies caught in its field (about 1.8 meters for 10 seconds).
  • Biotic Boss: Abilities that require more focus and effort, but have greater effect.
    • Flare: Unleashes a huge flare that throws enemies within its range (about 9 meters), causing massive damage.
    • Reave: An effect that drains a target's health and uses that energy to increase Aria's defense. It does its damage over the course of about eight seconds, and during this time it uses the target's drained life/shield/tech/immortalrobotbody/whatever to boost the effectiveness of Aria's barrier, making her takes about 40% less damage from attacks as a result.
    • Lash: A biotic field she can latch onto enemies to jerk them towards her at over 1200 Newtons, doing massive damage in the process.
Abilities
  • Asari: Aria is a member of the asari species. Although a monogendered race, they tend to resemble female humans in shape and size, and have a lifespan of about 1000 years. They can perform something called melding, a process in which an asari consciously attunes her nervous system to her partner's, sending and receiving electrical impulses directly through the skin, briefly becoming one unified nervous system, sharing memories, thoughts, and feelings.
  • Asari Commando Training: Taking advantage of the biotics and agility native to her species, Aria is a crack shot with a gun, capable of performing incredible feats of acrobatics and coordination, and quick to act and react. Her preferred ranged weapons are submachine guns and shotguns.
    • Carnage: Through some combination of her tech, she can perform a vicious blast with her projectile weapons that causes collateral damage to enemies nearby and is effective against armor.
  • Crime Boss: She has centuries of experience dealing with people who thought themselves being in better positions. Simply by observing a person, she can easily read a lot about them and usually knows when they are lying. She is determined to always get the last word in a conversation, a tactic she used when reinforcing her position and authority as Omega's ruler.
Equipment:
  • Armored Clothing: Her outfit is made of space-age materials meant to provide resistance to weapons, explosions, and environmental effects, to the point that it would take several hits to damage her as much as an unprotected person. It also carries the miraculous medi-gel substance inside of it, which is capable of treating most wounds, and in cases where it cannot (such as missing an organ or limb) can stabilize a person to prevent passing out, or dying from shock or blood loss; embedded dispensers in the suit automatically inject medi-gel into her body as a form of instantaneous first-aid when needed.
  • Omni-Tool: A combination phone/organizer/computer device with a holographic interface that is worn on the arm, though it is concealed by her sleeve. She has some sort of ear and throat implants that allow her to interact with it, allowing it to function as a universal translation device for all languages it knows or learns. It can interface with most computer or security systems, allowing it to hack computers or locks with insufficient protection. Most importantly, it has a mini-fabricator that can break down small objects (such as generic ammunition) into raw materials and then use those to build small electrical and mechanical components, such as replacement circuitry for repairing object, thermal clips for her weapons, or as medi-gel for her suit.
  • Guns: Her two guns utilize mass effect technology to effectively be miniature railguns in terms of how they operate, making them much more effective than conventional firearms.
    • Submachine Gun: An Elanus Risk Control Services M-9 Tempest, it has a high rate of fire but pistol-caliber damage and is somewhat inaccurate.
    • Shotgun: An asari Disciple that uses shells packed with microscale submunitions to deal staggering amounts of damage. Even shielded enemies are stunned by the force of a blast from this weapon.
  • Cluster Grenades: Grenades that use a miniature mass effect generator to exert a force of 2400 Newtons on everything within 4 meters of them when detonated. They're basically concussion grenades. In the simplest sense, they only produce the force and nothing else. So the shockwave is generated without the shrapnel of a conventional frag grenade. Due to complicated space-age sciencey stuff they are super complicated and require Aria's biotic ability to "prime" them, otherwise they're inert.
Why are they on Team Villain?: Because nobody fucks with Aria.
