New show on the discovery channel. Kind of exciting really to see BFS the series still kind of smarting from Blade Brothers and it\'s kind of neat that I saw one of his youtube video\'s for Cloud\'s Buster Sword then later bam he\'s on tv.

anyone else watching?

I think the show is great.

I do like that Saturdays they have the Blademaker version of the episode that aired on Tuesday.

So, anybody else think it's worthy of a trope page?

[up]Maybe I know of atleast two tropes with the series.

The obvious is BFS

I think Made of Iron could be one because Irish Mike gets hurt and seems to shrug it off. He's been on fire and in one episode mentioned being shock ed multiple times by using his plasma cutter in the rain.

I've seen a couple of episodes. Rather amusing to watch a guy slice a BOAT in half.

Strangely enough, I understand the dilemma they had with the quick-rust job on "Rahab." I was trying to do something like that myself on an emblem-image for the cover of my Kindle book. What I wound up doing is sculpting my image out of Sculpey, painting it to be rust-like, and "rusting" it up with ground up rust scraped from found objects and pumelled in a mortar and pestle. Thanks to that show, now I know how to overnight rust on actual metal should I need to!

In which I attempt to be a writer.

Is there a trope for "and it's got to be done in a week"? because that seems to be a must for such reality shows

anyway tropes

I'm sure I've missed some but this seems to be a start
