Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Now how long have you been in my sandbox?

Nui Harime is an adorable, yet absolutely psychotic girl. Made entirely of Life Fibers, Harime is responsible for the death of Ryuko and Satsuki’s dad under her mother Ragyo’s orders. The Dragon to Ragyo, she mercilessly taunts and usually defeats her foes with little effort, including Ryuko…at first. The Dreaded to everyone who has met her, Nui enjoys being a sadistic evil woman, acts all bright and happy while committing her deeds, but when things go wrong, she shows her true self, acting more like the evil villain she is than before. Faux Affably Evil. In the end and some time after her defeat where Ryuko cuts off her arms, she commits suicide so that Ragyo can absorb her Life Fibers for a power boost.

Nui Harime, The Goddess Who Is Both Cute and Psycho

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nui_harime_anime.png
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Symbol: Her smile, the purple Scissor Blade wrapped in Life Fibers, and her pink bow
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil (Goes straight into Chaotic Evil when fighting)
  • Portfolio: Cute and Psycho, Ax-Crazy, Humanoid Abomination, Perpetual Smiler, It's Personal with the Dragon,
  • Domains: Cuteness, Clothing, Insanity, Evil
  • High Priest: Kurome
  • Superior: Ragyo Kiryuin
  • Allies:
  • Enemies: All Kill la Kill deities not named Ragyo, with special mention going to Ryuko Matoi, Senketsu and Satsuki Kiryuin, Yang Xiao Long
  • Nui Harime is an artificial Life Fiber creation made by none other than Ragyo Kiryuin. Raised as the Grand Couturier of REVOCS, eventually, she would murder Ryuko Matoi’s and Satsuki Kiryuin’s father on Ragyo Kiryuin’s orders, taking one half of the Scissor Blades. When Ryuko meets her, she gloats about killing her father and they fight. She loses to Nui, who would later play a role in Ryuko’s brainwashing. Ryuko would eventually break out of it, and at a later date during a rematch, cuts off Nui’s arms. On Ragyo’s order, she commits suicide and lets Ragyo use what is left of her to strengthen herself.
  • Nui Harime ascended shortly after Ragyo Kiryuin did, arriving in the Pantheon with the express intent to screw over the people, Ryuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuin, that played pivotal roles in her defeat, the latter even cutting off and destroying her arms. To this end, Nui casually used a false duplicate of her father, a machine stolen from the House of Machinery and Technology, to reenact his death, before letting it be broadcasted by Junko Enoshima. Why did she do this? Simply to let them know she was there. This, of course, spurred Ryuko and Satsuki to work faster in order to ascend Mako Mankanshoku and the Elite Four, not that Nui minds.

This is long enough to be approved now, but I wouldn't mind more visitor suggestions. Also, are there any spelling/grammatical errors?

The Archipelago, Home of the Background Magic Field (The Enchanted Isles)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/impossible_creatures_archipelago_map.jpg

  • Fantastical Settings
  • Description: A chain of 34 islands in the north Atlantic, ranging in size from a town square to Denmark.
  • Symbol: The Gilmourie Tree's apple
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Fantastic Nature Reserve, home to a World Tree that grows under a Weird Sun, its inhabitants know little about the outside world, Fantasy Kitchen Sink, hidden by a Perception Filter, home to griffins, dragons, merfolk, nereids, dryads, centaurs, al-mirajes, kankos, unicorns, phoenixes, manticores, sphinxes, ratatoskas, hippocamps, chimeras, borometzes, pegasi, and more.
  • Domains: Magic, seclusion, sailing, trees
  • Vistors: Fluttershy, Gilda, Hitch Trailblazer, Rubeus Hagrid, the Spectral Familiars, Reimu Hakurei
  • Banned from entering: Lord Voldemort, Pokémon Hunter J
  • Magic entered the world when the first tree grew. It flowed into the soil, the air, and the water, spreading all over the Earth. This magic goes by many names — glimourie, glamry, glim, glimt — and the source of it all is called the Glimourie Tree. Long ago, magical creatures lived everywhere, but humanity hunted them to near-extinction. The glimourie is at its strongest in the Archipelago, and 3,000 years ago, it was hidden away to keep magical creatures and humans who respected them safe. Now, the only way to enter it is through portals that open under very specific circumstances, called waybetweens.
  • Places of interest include:
    • Lithia is the largest island. It's home to Bryn Tor, a bustling port town where magical creatures roam the streets alongside humans. Hundreds of sailors pass through everyday to sell their most valuable wares. The streetlamps are lit with salamandric fire, which never goes out. It has a pub called The Naiad's Tail, which is popular among fishers.
North of Bryn Tor is the City of Scholars, whose yellow stone buildings surround a lagoon. The Archipelago's wealthiest people live here, such as the Trevasse family. The city's landmarks include a mermaid-shaped fountain, a large jewellers called the Gem Palace, and Anja Trevasse's palazzo.
The north-eastern peninsula is home to sphinxes, who are willing to offer knowledge to anyone who can answer their riddles — or eat them if they can't. They carve writing in various languages into mountainsides.
    • A few smaller islands have friendly inhabitants, too.
Atidina's town of Icthus was once the biggest port in the Archipelago, but fell out of use when it was hidden from the rest of the world. Now, its human inhabitants enjoy its quietness, and occasionally merfolk and hippocamps swim alongside fishing boats. Borometzes grow in its fields, and unicorns live in its forests.
Antiok is home to centaurs, skilled artisans who make magical artefacts and potions. Due to their high metabolic costs, they need to eat a dozen times a day, and they have night-long feasts every full moon. The University of Alquon is on the west of the island.
Tār has a small population of humans, but its main point of interest is its forest. There, the smell of the glimourie is strong, and dryads live inside the colourful trees, some of which grow extremely delicious apples.
    • The Island of the Immortal has a golden palace where the Immortal, the being who contains the soul of the Glimourie Tree's first apple, lives. Whenever they die, they immediately reincarnate, and keep all the memories of their past lives. That was, until 100 years ago, when the Immortal's incarnation couldn't handle his burden and drank a potion to forget everything. Now, the palace is overgrown and overrun with karkadans, vicious unicorn-like creatures who kill for sport and have toxins dripping from their horns.
    • Arkhe is the northernmost island, surrounded by a choppy sea and covered in sand. It's inhospitable to most beings, but dragons like its warmth. Here, the Glimourie Tree grows under a sun-like orb of pure heat and magic called the Solumnulum, that holds the barrier around the Archipelago in place. It's also the "sun" that Icarus flew into. In order to keep it safe from intruders, the tree is hidden within a trap-lined maze that only the Immortal knows the way through.
    • There are also some islands that visitors are advised to avoid at all costs. The Island of Manticores is barren because its inhabitants try to eat everything they see, and like to torment their prey first. The Isle of Murderers is a prison colony that no-one can ever leave because of an enchantment.
  • In order to preserve the Archipelago's wildlife, some gods were pre-emptively banned. Pokémon Hunter J hunts all sorts of exotic life-forms, and the magical creatures would definitely be on her list if she were allowed in. Voldemort is been known to kill unicorns, which is considered a special kind of evil in his world. It's unknown if the Archipelago has this taboo, but its inhabitants take great care to not needlessly kill magical creatures.
  • Fluttershy, Hitch Trailblazer, and Rubeus Hagrid are all good with animals, magical or mundane. Fluttershy can tame the most dangerous of creatures, and during a visit, she calmed down a rampaging kraken simply by asking it what was wrong. The first time Hitch stepped onto Bryn Tor, he was instantly followed by an entourage of al-mirajes. Hagrid... is much less sensible. He once tried to pet a manticore, and would've gotten eaten if he wasn't so big. Some people have mistaken him for a berserker, who are an order of fearless humans who protect the Immortal.
  • Gilda's visit caused quite a stir. Griffins are believed to be extinct in the Archipelago after the glimourie started to fade five years ago. Furthermore, unlike the Archipelago's griffins, Gilda can talk. She loved the attention at first, but soon became frustrated with it, so she sold some of her feathers to wealthy humans for an exuberant amount of gold pieces and left without another word.
  • The Spectral Familiars are interested in the Archipelago because it has an eerily similar backstory to their Monster Sanctuary. It too is a place where magical beings live alongside humans that's hidden from the outside world, and surrounds the site where the first tree grew. They and their keepers have considered letting some of the Archipelago's creatures live in the Sanctuary, but they're having a hard time getting the flying senate (the Archipelago's government) to agree. Regardless, the two dominions have diplomatic ties, and their inhabitants frequently travel between them.
  • For similar reasons, Reimu Hakurei is interested in the Archipelago. She's from a long line of miko who maintain the barrier that separates the fantastical land of Gensokyo from the mundane world. She once tried to throw a tea party in The Naiad's Tail... only to learn that they didn't serve tea. On the plus side, a kanko (the only Japanese creature known to inhabit the Archipelago) decided it liked her and tried to make a nest in her sleeve.

[up]Did they? Someone should probably check on that...

Anyway...

So, a while back, permission was supposedly given to remove Mr. Game & Watch from the House of Gaming, as his trope — Hammerspace — had little (if anything) to do with gaming. However, someone apparently forgot to follow through with this, and the permission was apparently given so long ago, we're having trouble finding which page said permission was given.

Thus, I am asking again for permission to remove Mr. Game & Watch from the House of Gaming, possibly to be replaced with, say, Steve and Alex. We can discuss possible alternatives, if you all like.

(In case anyone's worried, Mr. Game & Watch will still be present in the Pantheon, but only in the Hall of Space Manipulation.)

EDIT: I have 1 [tup]. Should I wait for more?

EDIT 2: Wait at least a day. Got it.

@SailorVenus — To a degree, you could say Nui is an artificial sister of Ryuko and Satsuki, so I can see some kind of paragraph about artificially-created siblings and offspring, such as Superboy as well as beings of similar origins without the sibling theme like Xion.

Her mannerisms and asymmetrical personality of being a cutesy girly-girl and a deranged butcher bring to mind Harley Quinn, though where Harley is sympathetic most of the time and can be genuinely nice and affectionate, Nui's attempts to be adorable are entirely fabricated.

She's a misanthrope, so if she's going to need an ally, then those who hate humanity like her and Ragyo are a good starting point. That said, I am curious as to what she would think of humans who have the same beliefs.

@mdalsted — [tup] on Alex and Steve replacing Game and Watch as Guardian Reps. We discussed this years ago, surprised how we haven't acted on it yet, to which I say just get it over with ASAP.

Updated draft on Scar. Honestly, there's not much to work around on him (then again, he's an animal, so pretty simple stuff), but I did do enough to ensure that the profile size and content are up to standards and approvals are open. Anything else I can add, or is he good to go?

  • The world of dinosaurs was a tough and perilous one, despite the majestic and awe-inspiring scope and the fields of Alaska during the Late Cretaceous were no different, for they depleted vegetation drastically and were unforgivingly cold, snowy, and windy during winter times, especially for dinosaurs who migrated to find new homes, nesting grounds, and food for themselves. Such was the case of Scar, a young Edmontosaurus who was forced to partake in a long migration to the warmer regions of Alberta with his herd after the winter deprived them of their needs. As Scar was dependent on his herd’s safety and support and was a juvenile, he was unprepared for the many terrors and dangers he would stumble across and would nearly lose his life on multiple occasions, especially as he ended up separated from his herd for a majority of the trip. But through some unexpected aid and a stroke of luck, Scar would eventually make it to Alberta and reunite with his herd, proving himself successful in his journey and becoming more mature because of it.
  • It was a normal day in what was the wilderness of Late Cretaceous Alberta, during which Scar was peacefully eating leaves with the rest of the Edmontosaurus herd and alongside them were an accompanying group of Pachyrhinosaurus who also managed to coexist with the larger hadrosaurs out of defense and dependency. As summer was on the horizon, the two dinosaur species were preparing for their second annual migration north to Alaska. Only this time, their trip would take an unexpected turn when the combined herd were suddenly fought in the way of a wormhole. Although they tried to outrun it, the wormhole was quicker and caught up with the dinosaurs. To them, what happened was most unexpected, for they somehow ended up in a lush green field and making eye contact towards animals they had never seen in their time, particularly gazelles. Scar and the herd realized that they were in uncharted lands and, although uncertain of their circumstances, still carried on with their migration. Unbeknownst to him and the dinosaurs, they were in a land of deities and the Edmontosaurus himself was unaware that he was now a deified representative of his kind. Now what happens to Scar in the Pantheon is up to his experiences and newfound trials.
  • As a comparatively normal herd animal, Scar is someone who doesn't particularly mind all the fantastical stuff in the Pantheon, at least at first glance, though given the new lands he's been browsing and wandering here, he was quick to register what was new to him and what was familiar. Naturally, dinosaurs and marine reptiles came off as a mix to him as while many looked similar there were just as many that looked incredibly different to the ones he had seen and interacted with. Hadrosaurs were not widely represented within the divine realms and Scar himself was the only representative of his species with the other four ascended hadrosaurs, Ducky and Dweeb, being a Saurolophus and Parasaurolophus respectively, and Buck and Blaze being Maiasaura siblings. While Scar was a bit taken back by what he thought was eccentric behaviour from the former two, he, fortunately, got along with the lambeosaurines thanks to their kindness and willingness to accept the Edmontosaurus as a friend and fellow "swimmer" as Ducky likes to call it. Scar still finds some of their antics weird, but he does enjoy their company, so long as they don't get themselves in too much trouble. With Buck and Blaze, Scar is happy to travel alongside them to different herding, feeding, and nesting grounds, despite being of different species and sticking close to keep themselves safe from being attacked.
  • On the subject of plant-eating dinosaurs, Scar was familiar with ceratopsians and thyreophorans given he knew an Edmontonia back in Alaska as well as a Pachyrhinosaurus that travelled alongside his herd during their migration to Alberta, so despite his naivety, he guessed out that they can be bit tough to deal with due to their suffering needs. As a result, he expected Cera to be temperamental given her upbringing and it helped that his friendship with Ducky allowed Scar to tolerate the brash Triceratops as much as he could. Woog proved to be quite awkward given he was vastly different from Cera in personality and, oddly enough, his extremely excitable and childlike nature intimidated Scar more than the usual territorial and aloof nature of a typical Triceratops as Scar wasn't too familiar with such eccentricities to begin with. Finally, despite her ability to show human-like sapience, Bix was the closest Scar had to a genuine ceratopsian friend as she resorted to acting like an actual animal and showing immediate kindness to the Edmontosaurus on their first encounter. She also saw that Scar would fit quite well in Dinotopia, should he ever visit it. Overall, Scar gets along with all three ceratopsians, even if it takes a while to get properly accustomed to Cera and Woog’s antics.
  • Sauropods initially turned out to be a memorable experience as the Pantheon provided Scar with the opportunity to be acquainted with them. Naturally, he would find easy company with them as much like hadrosaurs, they were primarily herd animals who traveled in large groups. As a result, the Edmontosaurus quickly saw himself getting along with Littlefoot and Bron, a parent-child Apatosaurus duo who’ve faced their challenges regarding migrations and predators, making the three of them feel as if they have something in common. Despite the hadrosaur’s more primitive thoughts, Littlefoot and Bron understood his situation pretty well as well as making sure he’s taken care of in the Great Valley should he come to attend. He also found companionship with a rather territorial Brontosaurus who generally didn’t mind Scar’s presence, even if the Edmontosaurus was initially intimidated by the sauropod’s size. Gradually, Scar realized that at least being in Bron and the brontosaur’s presence made him feel safe as the two were not afraid to wrestle against any passing carnivores and hunters, though he is aware that he can’t rely on them all the time, not to mention him growing into an adult would mean he would have to fend for himself and not just with a herd. Regardless, Littlefoot and Bron have asserted that Scar is always welcome to be in their company and the Brontosaurus has no problems with Scar being around him so long as the Edmontosaurus doesn’t bother him too much.
  • The presence of theropods was to be expected in the Pantheon, but Scar was still caught off-guard by the sight of many of them as they looked quite reminiscent of the Gorgosaurus from Alaska and the Albertosauru’ pack he encountered during his migration. The predators Scar had to deal with most were Little Das and his family pack mainly due to his friendship with Buck and Blaze, though Big Al and the Spinosaurus were particularly memorable due to their distinctive appearance and being Scar’s first time dealing with a carnosaur and spinosaur respectively. It didn't help that the Spinosaurus almost killed Scar when the young hadrosaur once tried to cross a river to reach his herd during a migratory journey. Raptors like Red also proved quite troublesome, though it was Tyrannosaurus that terrified Scar most as he had the misfortune of encountering One-Eye as his first experience with said species, who had no problems in slaughtering the Edmontosaurus and his friends just for fun. As a result, Scar keeps away from other T. rexes like Sharptooth and Rexy, which is justified as hadrosaurs tend to be among the Tyrant Lizard King’s favoured prey and even related animals like Speckles the Tarbosaurus were to be treated with caution despite his more "heroic" reputation compared to other tyrannosaurs.
  • As an animal that is content with a lifestyle in the wilds, Scar keeps somewhat minimal contact with humans and urban society, even if dinosaurs and, by extension, his species are a popular topic for many. Outside of natural predators, Scar has one of the most amiable relations to the outside world as many would see him as an average animal and most poachers seem to prioritize more “exotic” and "powerful" animals than a simple hadrosaur. The most that Scar gets regarding any attention from ascended humans in the Pantheon happen to be dinosaur enthusiasts, with Alan Grant and Ross Geller being intrigued to hear and sometimes encounter him given their profession as palaeontologists alongside John Hammond making efforts to have him classified as a protected animal by law. Jack Tenrec is similarly eager to look after the Edmontosaurus as he sees protecting prehistoric animals as a job, especially when he and Hannah Dundee protected Scar twice, once from Gwangi and again against a group of poachers. Finally, Harry sees excitement in having to look at a real hadrosaur if he can, but given his natural needs and lifestyle, the little boy is content in letting him be, even if the desire to see the Edmontosaurus one day remains.
  • Given the nature of the Pantheon, Scar would become acclimated to dealing with animals of the Cenozoic age, and in comparison to many other dinosaurs, his migratory nature meant that he would see himself encountering many different creatures, such as gazelles, buffalos, elephants, and big cats. An odd friendship was formed between him and Bambi as despite their several differences, both were placid animals and Bambi could see that he and Scar were quite similar as kids; being left alone to fend for themselves in a competitive and dangerous land, even if Scar is still a juvenile. It seemed that ungulates were the easiest for the dinosaur to get along with as they shared the social quirk of being herd animals and being passive for the most part, with Rutt and Tuke easily becoming well-acquainted with Scar, though elephants like Babar were just as accepting of the Edmontosaurus and Scar himself can’t help but be reminded of ceratopsians when meeting elephants due to their stocky built and horn-like tusks. Regardless, there were many predatory mammals as well, such as Zinogre, Shere Khan, and Dag whom the dinosaur takes great caution. While Dag is a bit scrawny and hence not too much of a threat unless he's in a gang, the former two are just as ferocious and have no qualms hunting big game on their own.
  • Unfortunately, the creatures that Scar is most afraid of on the Pantheon aren't tyrannosaurs or even a particular dinosaur, but rather dragons or draconic dinosaurs, depending on what's the case. Case in point, Scar was almost killed by a Rathalos, who also caused a mass panic and schism toward the hadrosaur’s herd. Fortunately, the dreaded wyvern was driven back by a group of Monster Hunters who happened to be surveying the lands the Edmontosaurus herd were patrolling and the hunters, via a working relationship with Hammond, worked to help the hadrosaurs, Scar included in being rounded back together. The event has led to Scar and his Edmontosaurus herd being very fearful of dragons and similar encounters, such as with Tigrex and even Teostra and Lunastra have vindicated their caution. On the plus side, the Monster Hunters have registered Scar and his herd as protected animals and while they don't interact often, Scar is at least placid enough with them. Other fantastical creatures like unicorns, however, were quite easy to get along with, despite the legendary ungulate’s general reputation of being reclusive beasts, but they, fortunately, saw no ill will in traversing with Scar’s herd from time to time.
  • Scar got his name from an injury he sustained from an attack during his juvenile days. Most interestingly, the name “Scar” is generally a title given to ravenous and dreaded predators, something the Edmontosaurus is obviously the furthest thing from. Several dinosaurs happened to share scars and lifelong bruises, such as One Eye and Sharptooth, and both simply see Scar as prey to kill, but the one that takes the most umbrage is a black-maned lion with the same name, feeling that a docile animal sharing the same name as him feels embarrassing and insulting to him. The lion once tried to work together with his mate, Zira, to bring down the young Edmontosaurus and grumbled that he would have sent out Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed to do the job had it not been for “their”note  betrayal of them. Unfortunately, even a young hadrosaur proved to be larger and more durable than both lions had expected and Scar almost killed Zira when he panicked and came close to trampling her with his forelegs. The two lions were moderately injured and realized that they’d be done for before retreating hastily and out of frustration. Although the experience was a little harrowing, Scar did gain a little confidence in that he was getting stronger and more capable of defending himself, so Scar and Zira’s attack has remained an important event for the Edmontosaurus.

Suggestion time...

  • Barry BerkmanExtreme Doormat
    • Barry was once a former Marine stationed in Afghanistan during the War on Terror before coming back to the United States where his father-figure and career criminal, Monroe would set him up as a hitman, ordered to assassin bad people. This, coupled with his growing depression, dissatisfaction with his job, and desperation for guidance, causes Barry to become very dependent on Fuches for any purpose he can find for himself. Incidentally, this causes complications when he develops an interest in acting and finds a new paternal figure in acting teacher Gene Cousineau and fellow student/love interest Sally Reed and he tries to please and be close with them as much as he can as he believes this would help him overcome his hitman days... which doesn't. Barry's extreme dependency on trying to please others is one of his fatal flaws as he virtually can't seem to come up with long-term decisions and personal purpose on his own and this leads to a lot of angst, depression, and frustration on his part, especially as Fuches himself wants Barry to be dependent on him.
  • Nozomi Kasaki and Mizore YoroizukaMutual Envy
    • Nozomi and Mizore are school students at Kitauji High who take part in a music club and train to become classical musicians, playing the flute and oboe respectively. While the two do bond with each other over their shared passion for music as well as making allusions to an in-universe children's story called Liz and the Blue Bird, the two are also jealous of each other, namely Nozomi being envious of Mizore's natural talent and playing ability while the latter is envious of the former's sociability and open-minded nature. This affects them both as their jealousy ends up holding back and hampering their desires and playing ability and a major character development is both girls learning to overcome their mutual envy.
  • The Children of the CornChildren's Covert Coterie
    • "The Children of the Corn" is an organization cult, namely children from an isolated town in Nebraska called Gatlin. The children, once innocent, are corrupted and indoctrinated into a murderous cult by a demonic entity known as "He Who Walks Behind the Rows" with the main objective being to worship and serve the desires of HWWBTR. They do this by killing any adults either still living in Gatlin (which they succeed in) or having made their way there and any unfortunate adult not killed will be taken to be sacrificed under the presence of HWWBTR. The children, with the help of their patron "deity" maintain their anonymity from the rest of the world by sticking to Gatlin as well as sacrificing any of their own members once they reach adulthood themselves

I should note that Mikan Tsumiki currently has Extreme Doormat, though, in addition to her having a poor profile R-lock256 intends to merge her profile into a potential group profile, namely Class 77-B, with a majority of the Danganronpa 2 cast.

Got a couple of South Park restoration ideas. What do you think?

  • Mr Slave, God of Shoving Things Where The Sun Don't Shine: Mr Slave is the Macho Camp former lover of Mr Garrison and a self-aware degenerate, though he has standards. He's kind of well-known for shoving stuff up his ass, most famously Mr Lemmiwinks who went up his digestive tract to get out. He even out-slutted Paris Hilton by making an impossible fit of her in his...yeah, well. Black Comedy and South Park irreverence at its finest. In South Park: The Stick of Truth you can use Mr Slave as a summon to deal with enemies this way, and there's even a "Fantastic Voyage" Plot inside his colon where a variety of stuff can be found lodged there. A restoration of an old profile.
  • Hell, Infernal Seat Of Enjoyable Damnation: In South Park, it's an Easy Road to Hell. Unless you're a Mormon, you usually go to Hell regardless of your morality. Good news though; while there is occasional torment, and there's fire and brimstone, Hell in South Park is actually relatively nice. There's a luau, people generally go about theirs lives (well, afterlives) and Satan usually only torments those that actually deserve it...even then sometimes they'll get a break like a few serial killers being sent to pick up a cake. A self-restoration

[tdown] on Hell, as it would be better to tweak Inferno to cover all depictions of Hell in media, honestly. Abstain, leaning [tdown] on Mr. Slave as well, as while they work, the trope is moreso about the trope being done by characters to others, rather than on themselves.
