This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

How much consensus in this thread is customarily required before a quote can be changed? There are three people—including me—who weighed in on Katanas Are Just Better, and all of three of us support the replacement of the current Lindybeige quote with the Rurouni Kenshin quote. Would people approve if I just went ahead and made the change, or would I be jumping the gun?
Not sure what the problem is - it's not a sinkhole necessary to understand what the quote means or anything, they're just linking a mention of Elvis to his page.
Three is a good rule of thumb. Things only get tricky if people start arguing over it, but that's rare. We reach consensus here pretty quickly.
So Candi and johnnye agree to moving the quote from I Was Just Joking to Joke and Receive. Anyone else?
I also approve of the move. No suggestion for a replacement, but the image has a bunch of text anyway so... le shrug.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyRegarding Disney. The Lion King One And A Half, does anyone have any suggestions on which line(s) from the opening (transcribed here) to use for the page quote?
Made the move.
Blackmail Backfire and Bullying a Dragon have the same quote.
Offhand, I don't have a replacement for either, but I figure it'll probably be easier to find one for Bullying a Dragon.
Masquerade and Ignorance Is Bliss also have the same quote (er, that is, they have a different quote from the above tropes, but the same as each other).
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Bullying a Dragon has plenty of options on the quotes page. I think this is my top choice:
Tony: Let's do a headcount here: your brother, the demi-god; the super-soldier, a living legend who kinda lives up to the legend; a man with breathtaking anger management issues; couple of master assassins - and you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them.
Loki: That was the plan.
Tony: Not a great plan.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
Threat Backfire and You Can Keep Her! both have the same quote.
Looking at both quotes pages, I think the last one on Quotes.Threat Backfire can work for the former.
Rhonda: What, fire me? Oh, go ahead. See how many customers you have left when you do.
The page quote on Make Games, Not War lacks a source so I am deleting it unless it can be found.
i have a quote suggestion for Insufferable Genius
Is it me or does the page quote for Hardware seem a bit long:
That quote is complaining, and I think the one that's already on the page is good enough.
An example of What Could Possibly Go Wrong?...
The trope name is pretty much a quote already. I don't see how we can get a page quote that's not just restating what's already there.
The best we can do is somebody responding to the phrase.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? And There Was Much Rejoicing and No Party Like a Donner Party have the same quote.
The quote in question is the Trope Namer for the former... though, thinking about it, I'm not sure which page that supports pulling it from.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. Not exactly a duplicate, but the quote in You Talkin' to Me? is way too similar with the one on Robert De Niro since it came from the same movie, spoken by the same character. Perhaps we can find an actual quote from De Niro (the actor himself), instead of a quote from a character he played as?

Public Domain Character has a quote that mentions the public domain but otherwise explains nothing about the trope. The Buffy vs Dracula and Duck Dodgers works as a better replacement, though I'm not sure which I like better.
Superman vs. the Amazing Spider-Man has two page quotes:
Does this work for the Tragic Monster page quote? From Lilo and Stitch, it is pretty self explanatory.
- Jumba Jookiba: 626 was designed to be a monster, but now he has nothing to destroy. You see, I never gave him a greater purpose. What must it be like to have nothing, not even memories to look back on in the middle of the night?
Does this work for a god am I
"'Simply put, he will be a god, because he will have the power to create. That is what Saint Dane has been after, Bobby. He has turned Halla toward chaos in order to give himself the power to form an entirely new universe. One that he alone controls.'" - Press Tilton describing saint dane (Pendragon adventure)
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."

What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Out and about, posting from my phone:
The quote on Alien Space Bats has a pothole under Elvis Presley.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett
