This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking For An Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Agree on the switch.
Any description help you'll have to give yourself.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlso agree on the switch.
Living Prop have two quotes. One from South Park that lampshades the trope and one from Stargate SG-1 where they call all the chevrons. Not sure which one is better.
I added another SG 1 quote from the same episode to the quote page, don't know is that one is any better.

The South Park one, for sure...the SG-1 one on the page doesn't give any indication that the person talking is the prop, and the one on the quotes page doesn't really feel like it fits, either.
Ok, Moved the SG 1 one to the quote page.
Down the Drain's quote is complaining about the trope. Motion to move it to the quotes page and use 'SEWER ADVENTURE!'
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanNo argument here.
Three quotes, none of which are very good.
The first seems to be about someone actually stealing and wearing faces, but not about using it as a disguise which is what the trope is about.
The second seems to be the best, but the parody names and needless Take That! drag it down somewhat (... and I hate Lady Gaga).
The third doesn't even make sense.
Thoughts?

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Same. I tried finding a good one from some of the examples, but came up blank. Koh does discuss it a little, but I'm not sure it would be effective as a quotation.
Check out my fanfiction!I agree the second seems the best, I think. The definition isn't really clear.
EDIT: Although I wouldn't object to all three being removed, like the others mentioned.

All three quotes on Face Stealer suck. Kill 'em all.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYeah, none of those are very good.
Consider them all removed, though replacements are of course fine. For reference (in order):
->It'll wear your face, Jerrik. Tear it off in rips and strips. —>—Brogan Dace, Golems of Amgarrak
-> Harry Plodder: But what a diabolical trick! Killing poor old Godzilda Hagsnot was cruel enough, but to lie in wait for us, disguised as his own hollowed-out victim! What soulless creature would even dream of wearing the skin of an old dead woman? -> Herwhiny Grungy: Lady Gaga? —>—MAD's parody of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One
-> Man #1: Nice hat. -> Man #2: Thanks! -> Man #1: I was being sarcastic. -> Man #2: Well I stole your face! -> Man #1: (facepalm) —>—asdfmovie4
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Dystopia Justifies the Means has two quotes.
The first one I don't think counts, as wanting to screw with people doesn't necessarily mean being dystopic.
A bit of a selfish question for me, which quote in Humans Are Ugly does everyone think is better? I posted the one in the Quotes page as the page quote first, but eventually it became the one there currently.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Pretty sure Dystopia Justifies the Means has already come up in this thread, so you may want to do a search for it. I support cutting the first quote.
As for Humans Are Ugly, I have to say that I think the current quote does a bit better job because it's specifically about looks, although the final sentence is irrelevant and could be cut. They're both good, though.
I like them both (and have a personal bias towards the Star Control quote), but I think I have to agree that the current is more demonstrative. Maybe the VUX proclamation could go on UncannyValley.Video Games?
On another subject, Talkative Loon.
—>—Homsar (the Patron Saint of Talkative Loons), Homestar Runner
—>— The Creeper, Batman: The Animated Series
->"Life... is a magnificent beast, and it excites me. My okay brain is so beyond okay that I think it's finally okay! ...You, guys, tell me something entertaining now."

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableDystopia Justifies the Means was discussed here forward
Talkative Loon: Agree that the current quote is bad.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAgreeing with that agreement; I lean toward the Creeper quote.
Agreeing with both parts of this.
Yeah, I like the Creeper one.
Counterpart Comparison: The quote is just someone getting another character's name wrong. In context, it's not an example at all since they're not compared. Out of context, it's just My Name Is Not Durwood and makes it sound like the trope is about the character's reaction to being called someone else's name, which isn't exactly part of the trope.

->Omniversal Awareness?? Oh YEAH!! First you need four GALLONS of Jell-o and a BIG WRENCH!! ... I think you drop th'WRENCH in the JELL-O as if it was a FLAVOR, or an INGREDIENT ... or .. I ... um ... WHERE'S the WASHING MACHINES? —>— Zippy the Pinhead
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. While that's a good enough quote, I'm secretly against it because I always hate how that comic would turn "the" into "th'".
... how can you even do that? I've tried and I can't actually truncate the long E from "the" without turning it into "thuh", which would be a completely different pronunciation.
... man, I had forgotten about this pet peeve for about ten years. Thanks for awakening that.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.
On Non-Answer (which could probably use some description help as well), the quote doesn't seem very illustrative. It's more of a reaction. I'd like to suggest a replacement:
->Jim: Mr. President, where can I get a job? ->President:: Many busy executives ask me: what about the job displacement market program in the city of the future? Well, count on us to be there Jim, because, if we're lucky, tomorrow, we won't have to deal with questions like yours ever again. —>—I Think We're All Bozos on This Bus, The Firesign Theatre.
