WMG / DuckTales (2017) - Season 3

Go To

WMGs relating to "Double-O-Duck in You Only Crash Twice!" found here.

Scrooge will find himself in the same situation from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and end up destroying his own company
Scrooge's Board of Directors are the F.O.W.L. High Command, not unlike how Alexander Pierce, the head of S.H.I.E.L.D., was also secretly controlling Hydra. This means any McDuck Enterprises employee we haven't seen before could be a F.O.W.L. operative. Considering Scrooge's company is a powerful institution, and that the Board of Directors have been around for longer than 10 years, F.O.W.L.'s infiltration may as well be very deep. That being said Scrooge will have to destroy his company entirely to stop whatever designs Chairman Brad Buzzard has on him, his family, and the world.
  • Jossed. McDuck Enterprises remains fully in-tact by the end of the series, save for the Bin's upgraded security system.

Season 3 will focus on Huey and give him the largest arc
Season 1 dealt with Dewey examining the secret of his missing mom as well as him learning the lesson that you can't assume you know all the answers if you don't have all the facts. Season 2 dealt with Louie and him having to realize that there is a difference between seeing all the angles to make things easier and just being lazy. Season 3 will then focus on Huey, most likely with his trust in authority. F.O.W.L. is a bureaucratic group with structure and rules and who want to keep the world the same so they can continue their schemes. This could appeal to Huey and see him believing that they are right and Scrooge is wrong before he snaps out of it.

F.O.W.L will have more Mickey Mouse villains than just the Phantom Blot as agents
Most likely Pete (tying in to Goofy's eventual appearance) and maybe Mortimer Mouse, who'll possess a dynamic similar to Drakken & Shego where one is a Ditzy Genius and the other is a Hypercompetent Sidekick.
  • Alternatively, replace Mortimer with Peg.
    • Pete and Peg could have an Unholy Matrimony situation like the Goof Troop episode where the two were mobsters taking on Elliot Goof.
  • Jossed. Only three more F.O.W.L. agents were introduced: Taurus Bulba as a one-and-done villain, Pepper, who's just an Egghead with a personality, and Don Karnage, who was already an established character in the show.

Mark Beaks will reform
Frank has stated that Beaks' insecurities will be fully revealed this season. And he's certainly not as threatening as the other villains as "GlomTales!" has shown. What's more? He was among the four villains displayed in the intro along with Glomgold, Big Time and Ma Beagle; Big Time would later be replaced by Magica in Season 2, and like Beaks he was in a red panel while Glomgold and Ma were in grey panels. In the Season 3 intro, Beaks will also be replaced by another villain (maybe Lunaris, a member of F.O.W.L., or even Merlock). Now the series has Boyd, the robotic son Beaks created who could potentially serve as a counterpart of Beaks as he is now being raised by a loving family, as opposed to Beaks' apparently tragic upbringing.
  • One way this could go down is that Beaks attempts to join F.O.W.L. The organization is at first intrigued by his inventiveness, but soon gets fed up with how annoying he is. The later betrayal triggers Beaks' insecurities brought on by his past, resulting in either a Heel–Face Turn or a Heel–Face Revolving Door.
  • We've seen where Beaks' obsession with fame comes from (in "Louie's Eleven"), which qualifies as revealing his insecurities. That doesn't mean that any of the rest of this won't happen, though (but spotting that red panel, good eye on that one).
  • Very unlikely, given the small number of remaining episodes with two of them reserved for the Wuzzles and Talespin crossovers.
  • Jossed; Beaks's last appearance is "Beaks in the Shell!," in which he keeps trying to steal from Fenton and shows no remorse.

The villain actors from the In-Universe Darkwing Duck show will join F.O.W.L.
Assuming they are Boxed Crooks seeking revenge for the cancellation of the show and the end of their careers. Jim Starling/Negaduck will join forces of F.O.W.L. and convince his old colleagues to do the same.
  • Negaduck doesn't appear to have joined F.O.W.L., and probably won't reappear until the Darkwing Duck reboot. It's not even vaguely hinted that the actors who played the villains were actual criminals or that the end of the show hurt anyone's career but Starling's.
  • Jossed. The classic Darkwing villains appear as fictional characters made real by the Ramrod; the actors playing them aren't even mentioned.

Daisy will have a major role in the third season
Aside from being Donald's love interest, the show will have her retain her job as a reporter like in Quack Pack, only this time she will be an investigative journalist seeking to expose F.O.W.L.'s criminal activities. They will obviously take issue with this and send their agents out to silence her, which drives Daisy to the Duck family for protection, leading to her and Donald falling in love.
  • The major role is Confirmed, but under different circumstances.

Daisy will hate Della with a passion
Going off a below theory in the Disney Crossovers section, Daisy and Donald were dating/engaged in the time before the boys were hatched and until the Spear of Selene ordeal happened, making them break up due to Donald's grief over losing his sister and decision to raise the boys as his own. As a result, Daisy blamed the whole thing on Della's impulsivity and resents her not only for ruining her and Donald's engagement but also for the grief she unwittingly brought upon her family due to her actions. When she and Della meet each other, Daisy will make clear that she is NOT happy to see Della back and becomes even angrier upon realizing Della's joyride nearly enabled the end of the world through Lunaris getting his hands on the Spear of Selene's blueprints. This will lead to Daisy's own character arc where she learns she needs to let go of her bitterness over the past in order to have a happy future.
  • Jossed. Donald and Daisy meet for the very first time in “Louie’s Eleven!”.
  • Inverted as of the finale; Della initially likes Daisy until the former learns the latter is going to take Donald away on a long boat trip. Della nearly strangles Daisy twice when she learns this.

F.O.W.L. will exploit Fantastic Racism against the Moonlanders
There is no way the Moonvasion won't cause some hostilities between the Earth and Moon. Realizing this, FOWL High Command, will have agents stoke the flames and maybe outs McDuck enterprises for there unintended help in Lunaris' plans.
  • Jossed. The moonlanders have acclimated fine to Earth, and F.O.W.L. has nothing to do with it.

Negaduck will form a Fearsome Five composed of villains who don't belong to other organizations or were castaways who also serve as Evil Counterparts to the Duck Clan and their allies
Negaduck will see soon enough he needs minions (if only as cannon fodder). Rather than doing the route of having the villains from his old show be legit supervillains, Ducktales 2017 will have Starling recruit villains who are alone or cast out. Possible candidates:
  • General Lunaris: Serves as Penumbra's rival and could provide tech.
    • And like with Glomgold and Magica, everyone will think Lunaris' is the mastermind behind this and not Negaduck.
  • Doofus Drake: Could probably jump at the chance at joining Negaduck to get revenge on Louie and maybe become SuperDoo like in the original show.
  • Falcon Graves: Especially if it turns out that a below theory about Graves being a rogue SHUSH agent is true.
  • Allister Boorswan: As revenge for his cinematic masterpiece being destroyed. Also a Tuskernini expy.
    • Jossed. Negaduck's appearance was meant for Season 4.

Ludwig Von Drake will revealed to be Not Quite Dead
He's seen in the Season 3 poster and was the director of S.H.U.S.H. when Beakley was still an agent there, so chances are he'll play a big role in the upcoming season.
  • One option is that he's cryogenically frozen in the S.H.U.S.H. headquarters and he'll be thawed out when his genius is needed.
  • An alternative is that he faked his death, having gone underground to prevent F.O.W.L. from making an attempt on his life. However, when things go south and F.O.W.L. rears its ugly head in the present, he will reemerge to help S.H.U.S.H. save the world from F.O.W.L.'s evil machinations.
  • Survival confirmed. He was captured by F.O.W.L., and says he's apparently been too busy to die.

Huey will serve as Drake Mallard's new kid sidekick
Both Huey and Drake would wish to investigate F.O.W.L.'s scheme once they both catch on to them. Being an adult, Drake would let Huey be able to access places he couldn't as a minor (and without dragging in Scrooge or Della or Launchpad etc.).

From a meta perpspective, Huey would also be able to serve as something of an Expy of Honker from the OG Darkwing Duck. Especially once Gosalyn gets introduced, the two could even hit it off well considering Huey currently doesn't really have another child as a friend or foil in the way Louie (Doofus) and Dewey (Webby, who herself has Lena) who could bring out more sides to him beyond being a straight man.

  • Jossed. Drake Mallard's kid sidekick is of course Gosalyn, though Dewey also gets involved in his shenanigans. Huey's closest child friend/foil is B.O.Y.D., being a similarly nerdy and brainy Junior Woodchuck.

Possible Agents of F.O.W.L.
Let's have fun with this. Anyone could be a member, or potentially a new recruit.
  • The Not!Roxanne - She shows up quite bit whenever the Ducks are doing something. Too much to be a coincidence.
  • Tad the Security Guard - Just because, plus Tad Stones would probably love the chance to play a F.O.W.L. bad guy.
  • Allister Boorswan - If not the Fearsome Five, then here.
    • And he'll have henchmen he designs on the Fearsome Five
  • Shere Khan - As a leader or chair of the Cape Suzette branch. Or an expy if legalities with The Jungle Book (1967) are involved.
    • There could be a son, grandson, or some other relative considering Kit and Molly are adults here.
    • Alternatively, the Thembrian High Marshal and Colonel Ivanod Spigot as they also originated from TaleSpin
  • Roxanne Featherly - Got to have the media covered.
  • Violet Sabrewing - To date, we still only know so little about her. She may be a junior operative planted to spy on Webby and Mrs. Beakley/Agent 22.
    • Alternatively, one of Violet's dads. The other dad is a S.H.U.S.H. agent.
    • Jossed. She's part of Scrooge's squad actively opposing F.O.W.L.
  • Fat Cat - To counter the Rescue Rangers.
    • Maybe Fat Cat is another Uplifted Animal created by Black Heron's intelligence ray, but one that stayed with F.O.W.L. instead of escaping?
  • The Ugly Failures - Keep tabs on one of the biggest crime families and move up to being The Ugly Winners.
  • Morgana Macawber (or at least the actress who played her on the Darkwing Duck show) - Starling's Ex-Wife and magic user on par with Magica DeSpell.
  • Pete - He could work as the agent of the Spoonerville branch while posing as Goofy's next door neighbor.
    • Alternatively, Peg - She was the more alert and capable of the Petes in Goof Troop. She can easily turn on the suburb wife charm if need be. Pete is far too big of a blatant Jerkass to be a good spy. And Pete could be a decoy whom Peg could set up to take the fall for her and prevent her cover from being compromised.
  • Poe DeSpell - They could use some sorcerers to help even the playing field, also maybe he's more pragmatic and focused than his theatrical and obsessively vengeful sister.
  • Argus McSwine - Doubles as Mythology Gag; his first animated appearance was in an episode of the original series, "Spies in Their Eyes", where he played the role of a villainous spy (under the name Victor Luzer).
  • Timmy Jenkins - Because why not?
  • Dr. Akita - A scientist for the Japanese branch who took the idea of worldwide-larceny too far, hence why he programmed B.O.Y.D to attack Tokyolk. Plus, the bunker he hid in for 20 years was bathed in the same red lighting as F.O.W.L.'s headquarters.....

Violet will get a Gummi Medallion
With Black Heron returning the Ducks will likely encounter more Gummi artifacts. They will find a Gummi medallion which Violet will take so she can learn to use magic - like Zummi, she is a purple hued bookworm.
  • Black Heron has made multiple appearances, none with any Gummi connections. Her "thing" is flamboyant, impractical plans, not specifically doing Gummi things.

Violet will also find the Great Book.
Related to the above. In the original Gummi Bears show, the medallion allowed its wearer to unlock the Great Book. And since a missing page of the Book was already shown, then it's likely that the book itself is hidden away somewhere.

While on an adventure with the other kids, Violet will find not only the medallion, but also the Great Book itself, which she will then unlock and read to learn how to use the Great Ones' magic.

Jim Starling will hate the name Negaduck
Negaduck will be named as such by the media after his first bought with Darkwing Duck. However Negaduck believes he's the real Darkwing Duck and the other guy is the impostor. So being called Negaduck will be his Berserk Button.
  • Jossed; Jim Starling doesn't appear at all in Season 3, and thus never gets named "Negaduck".

Boyd will meet the other Duck siblings, Webby, and her friends
He will probably consider Louie his best friend for giving him new parents while Huey, Dewey, and Webby will be amazed and delighted to learn their new friend is a robot.
  • Confirmed as such, Boyd is a Junior Woodchuck so will have met the rest of the Duck family, although he ends up forming more of a bond with Huey.

Violet's dads will be introduced yelling as Scrooge for using their daughters in his fight against the moonvasion.
They will burst through his office doors demanding to know why their daughters were drafted into Scrooge's war while he had his grandnephews and grandniece kept safe from the action.
  • To which Scrooge will respond with 2 things: They knew what they were getting themselves into, and he took all his grandnephews into space for the final part of the battle, so they did get involved after all.
  • Jossed: They are introduced in the season premiere, and show no animosity towards Scrooge.

Baloo and Rebecca will not appear in the show...
Because with Kit and Molly getting an Age Lift into adults, Baloo and Rebecca will most likely be either retired or have passed away before Kit and Molly's debut, which will explain why Kit has Baloo's beloved Sea Duck.
  • Alternatively, only Baloo won't appear, given the same guess as Shere Khan in the WMG above, and only appears in darkened photos as a silhouette, akin to how the Gummi Bears had previously appeared.
  • Confirmed, neither of them appear in person. However, Baloo's image does appear in the Higher-for-Hire logo (which is the same as the TaleSpin show logo), and he is name-dropped at least twice.

Launchpad will have an episode focused on him.
His Theme Song Takeover will be used.
  • This episode could focus on him trying to rescue the rest of the family after...
  • Jossed. Though Launchpad gets important roles in "Double-O-Duck in You Only Crash Twice!", "Let's Get Dangerous!" and "The Trickening!", none of these use his Theme Song Takeover as intro.

Scrooge, Donald, Della, Mrs. Beckley, the triplets, and Webby will end up captured by F.O.W.L.
And their allies will need to come together to rescue them. Launchpad may not have been captured due to his perceived unimportance, but he discovers that the family is gone and recruits their friends to aid in the rescue. People he enlists might include Lena and Violet (and possibly their dads), Storkules and Selene, Penumbra, Boyd, Daisy, Darkwing, Gyro, Fenton and his mom, and/or Jose and Panchito.

It'll be revealed that Rockerduck was frozen during the Gold Rush that made Scrooge rich.
Rockerduck took Soap Slick's role as the loan shark Scrooge borrowed money from.

Once defrozen, Rockerduck will have to meet his current heir in a court of law to reclaim his estate.
  • Jossed. Rockerduck has a lot of new medical problems, but otherwise he gets right back into the swing of things.

Emil Eagle will make his debut.
As a foil to Gyro Gearloose, Emil will have social skills and work at Glomgold Industries.

Upon being defrozen, Rockerduck will start eating his hat.
Not because he was bested by Scrooge but because being stuck in amber did things to his mind.
  • Jossed.

Gandra Dee will be revealed to be a mole for Shush in F.O.W.L.
She will really be a member of S.H.U.S.H.
  • Partially confirmed in that she does turn out to not actually have allegiance towards F.O.W.L., she isn't shown working for S.H.U.S.H. at all and she doesn't use her position to feed anybody inside information, instead leeching off F.O.W.L. resources to create a virtual network with Fenton.

Season three will have a Big Bad Ensemble.
The two Big Bads will be FOWL High Command, and Flintheart Glomgold.
  • Jossed, Glomgold's appearances happen sporadically throughout the season. The only Arc Villain of this season is Bradford Buzzard.

Magica knew the Funso mascot was the Phantom Blot all along
He was blackmailing her into working at the Fun Zone with the intent of killing her or worse if she told anyone or went against him. Their interactions in "Glom Tales" could back this up; he was making her go along with singing birthday songs and not declare war on children and birthdays. Who's to say that's not just a boss making sure a surly employee is kept in line?
  • "The Phantom and the Sorceress" makes it clear that the Phantom Blot and Magica would never work together, as the Blot's ultimate goal is killing Magica.

Huey will investigate F.O.W.L. with aid from Gosalyn, but refuse to let his family help
He'll work with Gosalyn in his war on F.O.W.L., seeing that she was hurt deeply by them (going with Taurus Bulba killing off her grandfather under F.O.W.L.'s orders) and that she provides handy info. He won't, however, drag his family or Webby or other friends in since:

A. He doesn't want to risk them getting hurt.

B. He's still sore over the Spear of Selene incident and how Dewey with Webby looked into Della behind his back. He'd hide his research into F.O.W.L. as his own way to get payback.

  • Jossed, sort-of. Gosalyn and Huey never truely interact in her introduction. Gosalyn's grandpa wasn't killed by Bulba, but was thrown into another dimension, and when faced with the reality that she might never see him again, she decides to focus on being Darkwing's new partner. While in the same episode, Bradford gets outted for being part of F.O.W.L., which shifts that arc into gear.

Scrooge will see the Rescue Rangers as invaluable allies
Despite whatever history Donald has with Chip and Dale, Scrooge may see them and the other Rescue Rangers as useful to be on his side because their small size makes them inconspicuous and thereby suitable for missions that require a certain degree of discretion that he or Gizmoduck can't pull off due to being too well-known throughout the world and Duckburg. He could easily hire them as spies to keep an eye on people on his payroll he doesn't find particularly trustworthy.
  • Jossed. Not only do Scrooge and the Rescue Rangers never meet, but the only character who does meet them is Launchpad and he loses his memory of it.

The Gummiberry Juice will come back.
Since Black Heron is still alive and the vial of gummiberry juice hasn't appeared since, it will become relevant in episodes involving her. Because macguffins like that are only mentioned when they're relevant to sequel episodes.
  • It doesn't even have to be the same vial. Nothing happened to the berry bushes; they're still there, and Black Heron, Mrs. Beakley, and possibly Scrooge and Webby all know the formula.
  • Confirmed! Webby has it in the finale, and one of her clones ends up drinking it and using it to capture her.

If Sara Bellum appears, we will see the Nice Mean And In Between dynamic with her, Mark Beaks, and Gyro not unlike what we saw in season 2 with Fethry, Gladstone and Donald
Sara will be the Adorkable Nice Girl scientist to the Brilliant, but Lazy Bitch in Sheep's Clothing Mark and the Insufferable Genius Jerk with a Heart of Gold Gyro.
  • Jossed, Sara does not appear in the season. The Adorkable Nice Guy scientist is, of course, Fenton.

S.H.U.S.H. will have a proper name
With F.O.W.L. set to rear its ugly head next season, S.H.U.S.H. will come back to combat it, and it will be revealed what the agency's name stands for
  • One name for them could be the Strategic Headquarters for Undercover Security and Heroism.

The Roxanne looking woman will be Owlson's replacement
They've set her up looking for jobs at least once before, it wouldn't be unbelievable for her to go looking for a new job again and stumbles upon the opening Owlson left.

If she really is Roxanne, then this could serve as a way to introduce the Goof Troop cast too. Maybe she gets a call from Max or Goofy and that leads to the Ducks heading to Spoonerville.

It helps that Word of God confirmed that the replacement is a character we've already seen. That rules out someone like Daisy. Someone like Penny or Gandra might be capable in their field but doesn't really show the skillset needed for Owlson's work.

  • Since she lacks the beauty mark that Roxanne has, maybe she is instead Roxanne's mother who has divorced her husband and moved from Spoonerville to Duckburg to start over with a clean slate.
  • Jossed. Owlson's replacement is Gibbous.

The opening of the season will feature Breaking the Fellowship
As shown in the closing moments of season 2, McDuck has an elite force capable of taking on an army together with his family, friends of family and employees. So, as their first move with "the pieces in place" will involve FOWL splitting up the family and scattering them across the globe in some manner. This will then give the season structure. With the cast divided, different groups will try to reunite with each other, having adventures with each other and playing off each other in new and different ways. Some will also remain in hiding among Duckburg forming The Resistance to the organization that's taken over in the process.
  • Jossed. This would have made a lot of sense, but it didn't happen; the season arc is F.O.W.L. and the Ducks racing to obtain Isabella Finch's Lost Treasures.

Della and Lena will go to therapy
These two had been through intense, post-traumatic experiences in isolation (The Moon and Shadow Realm respectively), and suffered physically, mentally and emotionally. They have both have trouble keeping track of time and can barely look in the mirror. They could go together and give them something to bond over.
  • Don't you know anything about media? Rule of Drama dictates There Are No Therapists. It's more fun to write those 2 as perpetually screwed up in small ways to keep them interesting.
    • It's already been established that Donald gets anger management therapy, so There Are No Therapists does not apply here.
      • It might also be a pride thing. That Della and Lena might give a side eye on Therapy Is for the Weak, or that FOWL will attack so quickly, there's no time for them to do anything like that.

There will be a Darkwing/Gizmoduck Episode
And it will go completely differently from how it was in the past. Darkwing will be all passive aggressive, irritated and go about how "I worked hard to get to where I am. All you have is a fancy suit to do all the work for you!" However, after messing up a mission (maybe failing to protect one of the kids from FOWL due to Darkwing getting in the way rather than actually solving the problem), Gizmoduck will instead give "The Reason You Suck" Speech, and more importantly, step out of the suit. Giving a huge lecture on how it took him a long time to realize "I am not the suit. It's only a tool so don't you dare say that I haven't worked to earn the accolades I have." And that more importantly you need to earn glory and fear. There are no shortcuts to get to where I am now. Thus served his Humble Pie, Drake and Fenton work together to complete the mission, ending with them going out for coffee to talk about their lives under the mask.

Darkwing and Gizmoduck in this incarnation will be Vitriolic Best Buds
Related to the idea above - after all, the both have so much in common - like similiar goals, problems and flaws. Plus, with Drake beign much more friendly to Launchpad here, someone must endure Darkwing's jerkass tendencies.

Glomgold unknowingly has agents of F.O.W.L. within his own company
He's a lunatic who isn't shy about blowing his dough if it means he has a chance to take down Scrooge, so chances are F.O.W.L. has placed one of their agents into his corporation to embezzle his fortune while he's too preoccupied with concocting schemes against Scrooge
  • While this is undoubtedly true, Glomgold has been a complete nonentity this season. He had only one episode and the joke was that his scheme was doomed from the start; the only reason anyone bothered to stop it was that it was going to hurt the kids in the process of collapsing.

The rebooted Don Karnage is actually the son or grandson of the original Don Karnage from Talespin
Complete with Jim Cummings reprising his role at Karnage Sr.
  • Word of God explicitly confirms that this isn't the original, but doesn't say how they're connected.

The Phantom Blot actually cares deeply about Funso's
Because he turning out to be a Family-Values Villain who's genuinely good with kids would be hilarious.
  • Alternatively, in a dark twist to this theory his daughter from the comics, Phantom Brat, was one of the members of his family that Magica killed in the past.

Rockerduck is actually F.O.W.L.'s founder
A rich man who made his fortune on conning others and stealing their resources? And is definitely somewhat part of the organization? Seems like an easy line to draw to connect them.
  • Jossed. Bradford Buzzard and Black Heron founded F.O.W.L.

Owlson's two week notice will last until the season 3 premiere.
Since Owlson is staying on until she trains a proper replacement, this will cause her to stay longer then intended. As her potential candidates keep quitting due to interference from McDuck adventures. Since Owlson's professionalism keeps her from just getting out of there without the replacement, she has to continue her search. Only when the premiere episode takes place does she finally find a candidate who not only can handle her role as CFO but also handle the insanity that Clan McDuck seems to attract. This will be established when an interview gets interrupted by McDuck shenanigans. And the candidate effortlessly takes care of the situation.
  • Jossed. While this would have been a great running gag, Owlson's single appearance is in "Let's Get Dangerous" as the new mayor of St. Canard.

F.O.W.L. knows Darkwing Duck's secret identity, because Scrooge owns the rights to the show.
Since F.O.W.L. High Command is the Board of Directors, they would have access to the paperwork for everything McDuck Industries owns. Including the casting list for the unreleased Darkwing Duck movie.
  • This does assume one makes the leap of logic that the real Darkwing Duck is the actor cast as Darkwing Duck. Not out of the question, but not something someone would necessarily assume. It's possible, though, that if Drake was stupid enough to actually use the movie costume to fight crime (as opposed to something, say, lined with kevlar or at least homemade), some telltale feature of it might be recognized in a photograph.

The crossover with Talespin will be either a Launchpad-centric or a Della-centric episodes.
Launchpad and Della are the resident pilots while Molly and Kit seem to have experience with flying aircraft. The episode featuring the two of them could be one where it's revealed that Dewey is fan of the two bears, which makes either Della or Launchpad jealous that Dewey is looking up to a pilot that's not either of them. By the end, however, Della/Launchpad will learn to respect Kit and Molly while also making a new friend out of them.
  • The latter is confirmed, it's a Della-centric episode. Some plot details are guessed correctly: Dewey wants to be Kit's sidekick, which Della does not like, partly out of jealousy and partly because of concerns for Dewey's safety.

F.O.W.L. will take an interest in Boyd and try to weaponize him and his abilities.
He's a Robot Kid with above average strength, Eye Beams, is capable of flight (judging by the comic-con poster), and one of the settings on his control phone is labelled "Overlord". F.O.W.L. will probably find out about him and send Gandra Dee to abduct and dismantle him to see how he works for the purpose of mass-producing an entire army of robot soldiers like Boyd.

Gosalyn will not get off on the right foot with the kids
When she appears, Gosalyn will be introduced as a grounded, jaded, and pessimistic youth embittered by both her grandfather's death and having to grow up in St. Canard, which in this show could be portrayed as a Wretched Hive and an idea of what would happen if Duckburg did not have the likes of clan McDuck to combat its more dangerous inhabitants. Along with already knowing who the boys and Webby are when she meets them, she will also feel resentment towards them for getting to live the high life under the care of their daring adventurer family while she's out fending for herself following the murder of her last living blood relative.
  • Jossed. Gosalyn is angry and resentful, but because of her grandfather's disappearance (not murder). St. Canard is shown to be a lot safer and nicer than Duckburg, if only due to the new mayor Owlson. Gosalyn shows no particular jealousy towards the kids.

Della will give Selene a What the Hell, Hero? moment
When given a moment alone, Della will ask the Goddess of the Moon why she never came for her or told the others she was on the moon for 10 plus years.
  • Jossed. Della doesn't even bring up the subject when they meet.

Part of the reason Daisy will become attracted to Donald will be because he raised the boys as his own following Della's disappearance.
In a case of Single Woman Seeks Good Man, Daisy will come to admire Donald after learning he essentially raised Huey, Dewey, and Louie as if they were his own sons despite his poor financial state and perpetual bad luck, and sees him as a good man who uses his anger as a means of protecting "his kids".
  • Probable, but it's never mentioned.

Daisy Duck will be (or at least start as) a downplayed Hero Antagonist.
In an ironic take on Adaptational Nice Girl, Daisy could be portrayed as a girlfriend who's strictly sympathetic toward Donald Duck's Butt-Monkey status and tries help fend off his misfortunes however she can. However, she could start off by coming on too strong and too bossy (essentially turning Donald into a boyfriend equivelent of a Henpecked Husband) trying to make Donald change his lifestyle in ways he's simply not comfortable with at best or accidently makes his life more miserable at worse. The conflict may be balanced with it being a Both Sides Have a Point scenario where Donald's family tries to get Daisy to see that her controlling ways aren't making Donald's life much better while Daisy calls them out for only rarely doing anything to help Donald whenever he gets in a bind. Donald may temporary break up with her after she crosses a line, Causing Daisy to eventually undergo Character Development on learning to be more considerate of Donald's feelings and thoughts while trying to get back in Donald's good graces.
  • Jossed. Daisy loves Donald for who he is.

There will be definite conflict between Della and Daisy over Donald.
After spending a decade away from her brother and not liking the idea of someone else becoming the most important female figure in Donald's life, Della will probably become a Clingy Jealous Girl over Daisy's closeness with Donald and think she's not good enough for him. Daisy, meanwhile, will have her own impression of Della soured upon hearing of the Spear of Selene ordeal and will most likely think of her as in irresponsible Woman Child who hasn't fully recognized the impact her actions had on her loved ones.
  • Mostly Jossed. Della doesn't seem to have a problem with Daisy until she finds out that the two are planning to go travelling on her own, and when this comes up she is more mad at Donald than Daisy, and Della's main issue is that she doesn't want to be without Donald for a long time again.

  • Della being Promoted to Opening Titles, either running alongside the rest of the Duck-McDuck family or flying the Sunchaser with Launchpad, given her history with the plane.
    • Confirmed. Della joins the family running at the start, and appears in the Sunchaser with Launchpad reminding him to pay attention to where he is flying.
  • New villains, including the Phantom Blot and the other F.O.W.L. agents, chasing the ducks.
    • Jossed.
  • In the shot when the ducks are running while the villains loom over them, new villains like Taurus Bulba, Steelbeak, and Negaduck will be included.
    • Jossed.

Max Goof will appear in Season 3 in his teen years like in A Goofy Movie
Max in Season 3 could be an Adaptational Nice Guy with a better relationship with Goofy than what was seen in A Goofy Movie and take up being a Big Brother Mentor to The Triplets similar to how Lena was Cool Big Sis to them and Webby. If the below WMG is true, this relationship between Max and the boys will be on account of sharing some happy childhood memories together when they were younger.
  • Semi-confirmed, in that he does appear in Goofy's photos and seems to at least be in high school (judging by the prom picture and the fact that PJ is shown working at a food stand).

Goofy and Max, if the latter appears and is characterized like in the above WMG, will be portrayed as longtime family friends to Donald and the triplets.
Assuming that Donald and Goofy know one another by the time the latter debuts, Goofy could be introduced as a longtime friend of Donald's since their childhood or teen years and is close enough to Donald that they are practically brothers. At the same time, the boys will think fondly of Goofy as an "honorary uncle" due to the good memories they made with him in their younger years, whether it involved the Goofs coming to Duckburg for the holidays or birthdays or the Ducks going to Spoonerville for the same reasons.
  • Also semi-confirmed; we don't know their exact relationship yet, but it's confirmed that Goofy is a long-time acquaintance of the Duck family (at least 10+ years, since Della knows him).

To fight F.O.W.L., S.H.U.S.H. will create the Justice Ducks.
Once F.O.W.L. rears its head, S.H.U.S.H. will return to fight it. However, because F.O.W.L.'s reach is so great and they are now incredibly powerful, S.H.U.S.H. will have to activate the "Justice Ducks Initiatve" and bring Gizmoduck, Stegmutt, Morgana Macawber, Darkwing Duck, Gosalyn (as Quiverwing), and Neptunia together as part of the superhero team. The assembly of this team, however, will be built up over the course of the season, with the various members getting their own episodes before coming together in the season finale.
  • Doubtful, since Word of God has stated Morgana will not appear "this season".
    • Which, since the show has been canceled after three seasons, means "ever." She's almost certainly being saved for a Darkwing Duck reboot.

Kit and Molly will be Composite Characters of Baloo and Rebecca respectively.
For instance, Kit may still be as intelligent, bold, and hypercompetent as he was in TaleSpin, but will inherent Baloo's laid-back personality. Molly meanwhile may retain some of her younger self's innocence, but is balanced by her inherenting her mom's bossy and uptight traits. This is assuming Baloo and Rebecca don't make a return in the show.

Merlock will appear in Season 3, and unlike the movie, he and Djinn will be enemies.
With Gene the Genie set to appear, it's likely that Merlock himself is not too far behind. And since he and Dijon were allies in the movie, the show could invert this by making Djinn, the badass heroic reimagining of Dijon, into Merlock's nemesis. This will be the result of Djinn finding Gene's lamp in his travels and vowing to protect the genie from the evil wizard. In turn, this will lead to Merlock and Djinn clashing over Gene, with the latter relating to Gene about his family's history.
  • Alternatively, Merlock's introduction into the show will be handled the same way as how F.O.W.L. was introduced: at the end of the season where he is set up as the next biggest threat for Clan McDuck to face after F.O.W.L. is taken down.

Goldie and Gandra will meet and exchange a "Not So Different" Remark.
Both have a complex with betraying the men they love and helping them out once in a while. Goldie, seeing herself in a young woman like Gandra, will at least try to encourage her not to make the same mistakes she did.

Gosalyn will adopt her Quiverwing Quack persona after being inspired by Drake's Darkwing.
After meeting Drake Mallard and being adopted by him, she will eventually start to look up to Drake's Darkwing as a hero, much like how Drake himself wished in The Duck Knight Returns! Being inspired by the Drake's actions, she soon learns archery from Webby and adopts the persona of Quiverwing Quack to follow in Darkwing's footsteps.

Also, due to her having inherited her grandfather's intellect, she will craft her own trick arrows with various devices, including bombs, smoke/gas grenades, ziplines, nets, etc. She'll also implement her skills as a Combat Pragmatist whenever Quiverwing finds herself in situations involving melee combat.

  • With the above ideas mentioned, The Quiverwing Quack persona could act as a G-rated Shout-Out to the Arrowverse version of Green Arrow akin to how Darkwing is a parody of pulp superheroes like the Shadow. If Drake adopts Gosalyn like he did in the original Darkwing Duck, this could lead to a Wacky Parent, Serious Child superhero dynamic with Darkwing's hammy and pulpy hero persona contrasting Quiverwing having a Darker and Edgier persona and methods. Quiverwing could even have a Comically Serious moment that satirizes Arrow's famous catchphrase.
    • For example, we may get a moment where Quiverwing sneaks into a premierre for a Darkwing Duck movie in full costume and steathily swaps some popcorn from the concession stand. When she finds the popcorn tastes terrible, she breaks from her stealthy approach by marching up to the concession stand and yells at the vendor in a pretend gravelly voice; "You have failed my popcorn!"
  • As a possible Adaptational Early Appearance, Gosalyn could already have developed a reputation as a vigilante as Quiverwing well before meeting Webby and the Triplets. Though like a certain Arrow, She could be portrayed as a Hero with Bad Publicity viewed by the public as a misguided youth at best or a dangerous loose cannon at worst.
    • The details are jossed, but Gosalyn is already shown to be an expert with her self-designed crossbow, and is officially Darkwing's crimes fighting partner rather than reluctant tag-along, so the idea that she will become Quiverwing is reinforced.

Gosalyn will be portrayed as a Foil to Webby
Both Webby and Gosalyn will be characterized as a young but capable Action Girls who can hold their ground in a fight, have less-than-stellar social skills, and were raised by one of her grandparents in the absence of their parents. But whereas Webby is a cheerful, friendly, Tomboy with a Girly Streak who utilizes martial arts techniques taught to her by her grandmother and has poor people skills due to growing up in Scrooge's manor without any friends, Gosalyn will be portrayed as an irritable, pessimistic, and straight-up Tomboy and self-taught Combat Pragmatist whose unsociable tendencies are a consequence of her upbringing in St. Canard, which has made her jaded and untrusting towards others she thinks will only become friends with her to exploit her. If Gosalyn adopts her Quiverwing Quack persona, she could further contrast Webby by being a Multi-Ranged Master who's most comfortable fighting at a distance while Webby could be seen as more of a Multi-Melee Master or Bare-Fisted Monk.

The Gummi Bears will appear in this season.
In the Season 3 poster, the vial of Gummiberry Juice appears, implying that there will be more adventures centered around the secrets of the Great Ones. That said, it will be made known that the Gummis still exist and are basically the Wakandans'' of the DuckTales universe. Instead of advanced technology, however, the Gummi Bears use magic to keep themselves hidden from the world for fear of how outsiders may use their secrets for evil. This self-imposed isolation will end, however, after they meet the Duck-McDuck family, who help to see that not all outsiders are inherently evil and will let their presence be made known while embracing a new role as the world's guardians, much as they were prior to the events of the original show.
  • I actually hope not, because there's not enough time left in the season for them to make more than a single appearance.
  • Jossed, they don't show up. The vial of Gummiberry Juice does play a role in the finale though.

FOWL will turn out to be similar to the main characters, only with their relationship as a Dysfunction Junction made clear to contrast with the duck family
Since family is the Central Theme of the series, it would only make sense that a group of 9 would end up being an easy contrast with the leads of the duck family.
  • Heron and Gandra will create the Beakley-Webby dynamic in a darker mirror, showing what could have been if Beakley was dismissive of Webby's goals or if Webby was resentful of her older grandma keeping her down.
  • Jeeves will contrast Launchpad: both servants to the team, but with very different outlooks and Jeeves lacking Launchpad's ability to jump into danger of his own initiative rather than waiting for Scrooge to give the word.
  • Rockerduck is Scrooge if he was inflexible and overconfident instead of meticulous and able to be sharper than the sharpies.
  • The Vultures will contrast the triplets where Huey, Dewey and Louie each have their own initiatives and strengths, whereas the board is more 1 unit that will lack their ability to play off each other.
  • And that means Steelbeak and the Phantom Blot will be a contrast to Donald and Della - Old school people who lack the focused love that Donald and Della always give to the kids or their elder.
    • Played with. The contrast has been shown, but it was Steelbeak contrasting Launchpad, with both being the Dumb Muscle of their respective teams, but with Steelbeak lacking Launchpad's heart.

Gosalyn will not be a fan of Scrooge or Clan McDuck
Keeping in line with the idea that she will be The Cynic when first introduced, Gosalyn will know who the Duck-McDuck family is due to seeing them on the news, but will consider them the type of people who are only interested in their adventures and not about what happens to some "St. Canard nobody" like herself. When they learn of her plight and offer her a hand, she will turn them down on the mentality that Taurus Bulba's crimes involving her and her grandfather don't have anything to do with them, Duckburg, or Scrooge's company, so they shouldn't lose sleep over something that doesn't even involve them.
  • Jossed. She accepts Dewey's offer to help, mostly upset with the new Darkwing's reluctance to act against an "upstanding citizen".

Donald's Legacy will be important in this season
In Don Rosa's Donald's Family Tree, we can see that Donald is the son of Quackmore, who is the son of Elvira "Grandma Duck" Coot, and she is the daughter of Clinton Coot... and he was the firstborn of Cornelius Coot, founder of Duckburg and a great hero himself.

For the first time EVER, it will be explored. Donald, Della and the boys not only have the blood of the McDucks, but also carry the legacy of the Coot Clan and the Duck Family.

  • As an addition on Donald's legacy: in the comics his great-grandfather, that he's named after, was a hero of The American Civil War, decorated with the Medal of Honor after single-handedly destroying the Confederate-occupied Fort Duckburg and allowing the Union to take Duckburg and cut the Confederate supply lines there.
  • Cornelius Coot has already "appeared" as a Posthumous Character in Season 2.

Webby and/or Della will fall victim to Cuteness Proximity when they meet the Rescue Rangers for the first time
If Webby's reactions to seeing the kelpies in The Missing Links of Moorshire! is anything to judge by, this shouldn't be much of a surprise.
  • Jossed. Only Launchpad meets the Rescue Rangers, and afterwards he doesn't remember.

Donald, Chip, and Dale will have a past.
In a reference to the Classic Disney Shorts, Donald has a past with the two chipmunks. Donald's reaction to meeting them again with be pure rage.
  • If they had a history, it was before the chipmunks went through an Anthropomorphic Transformation thanks to Black Heron's equipment, thus it is unlikely they'd recognize each other.
  • Nothing in the show draws on the Classic Disney Shorts at all. All of the characters are either taken from 1990s appearances or completely redesigned (like the Phantom Blot).

If Max does not appear this season with Goofy, then Sylvia Marpole will
Bebe Neuwirth, who portrayed Sylvia in An Extremely Goofy Movie, has been confirmed to voice a character in Season 3. If Goofy is set to appear this season with Bill Farmer voicing him once again, then there's a chance the same could happen for Sylvia, if she does show up at some point.
  • Bebe Neuwirth is voicing Emma Glamour, a character unrelated to Sylvia Marpole or Goofy. But since the same actor can have multiple roles, it's technically still possible for Sylvia to show up.

The opening episode will establish Huey's primary flaw in his competition with Violet
Namely, that thanks to all the adventuring, Huey now has a major issue of Pride. That after all the adventuring, of COURSE he's most qualified to be senior woodchuck. OF Course he's better qualified than some hummingbird who just started hanging out with his family. This egotism will eventually open him up to Violet doing a Batman Gambit on him, simply stating her case with a Kirk Summation on how Huey might be equally knowledgeable, but he lacks proper temperament to be senior woodchuck. Hence for Huey's arc for the season is a quest to both gain the position again, and to eventually learn exactly what his brothers have already learned: part of reaching your goals means being humble enough to know your limits.
  • Half-confirmed: Right plot, wrong flaw: He's not really prideful, he's just anxious and insecure at the fact the someone (Violet) is a better Woodchuck then him, which makes him feel he's not good at all.

Donald's time on the deserted island and the fact that his family had no idea what he went through will be explored.

The Quack Pack episode was created by someone wishing that their family was "normal"
The newest trailer for Season 3 shows scenes that look like they came directly from "Ducktales: The Movie," with the basket filled with treasure, the giant scorpions attacking, and even the magic lamp. And we also know from the poster that Gene the Genie will be appearing. So if someone is upset/complaining about the dangerous adventures that almost get them killed regularly during said giant scorpion attack, it would be easy for them to say something along the lines of "I wish I had a normal family," which would result in something similar to the Quack Pack when Gene grants that wish. As for who is responsible for the wish, it would most likely be Louie (who has complained about almost being killed on adventures in the past) or Donald (who did try his best for a while to give the kids a normal and safe childhood, so he might have a moment of wanting that back during an emergency).
  • Confirmed, it was Donald.

Gosalyn is Jim Starling’s daughter
As stated in this Reddit post, Gosalyn will be the biological daughter of Jim Starling, which would be in line in being an orphan. Drake would take her under his wing (pun not intended) since he feels responsible for what happen to her dad.
  • Jossed. Word of God confirmed her last name to be Waddlemeyer, which was her pre-adoption last name from the original series.

One of Violet's dads was originally her mother/is transgender.
She has the beak of one and the hair of the other, and Lena explicitly says Violet came "from" the pair rather than simply calling them her dads. Barring magic or some genetic experiment, the only explanation is that one of them was a woman until some point after they laid Violet's egg. This will likely never be fully confirmed, though, as it's quite a bit more complicated than a "has two dads" message.

Delivery Storks exist in the Ducktales world
They offer an alternative way for couples to have children. The baby looks like a copy of both parents. Violet's dads got her from a stork.

The season will end with Funso's being destroyed
Given that F.O.W.L.'s base exists beneath Funso's, should the organization's ultimate defeat involve said base getting raided and destroyed, it's likely Funso's would get caught in the crossfire. Perhaps Scrooge would buy the property afterwards and repurpose F.O.W.L.'s base into something for S.H.U.S.H. and/or construct his own version of Funso's as yet another money-making venture.
  • Jossed, it's undamaged.

Gandra Dee will pull a Heel–Face Turn but FOWL will keep her Forced into Evil
I think its safe to say that out of all of the FOWL members, Gandra is the one most likely to turn good. My guess is that she sees just how kind and heroic Fenton is and doesn't want to hurt him. FOWL, however, doesn't want to lose her/have her expose them, so Bradford using a Restraining Bolt of some kind on her to keep her working for them. She will get freed in the finale.
  • While this can't be ruled out, as Gandra has shown signs of not being a bad person (like using non-lethal weaponry when fighting children), she's had virtually no direct interaction with anyone and no character development.
  • Semi-confirmed. Gandra was only working with FOWL for funding and does try to leave, but Bradford has her locked up before she can.

Scrooge is secretly a Viking wrestling star
In "Last Christmas!", Scrooge said that he "keeps the world-eating serpent Jormungandr at bay," while Jormungandr is explicitly mentioned in the synopsis of "The Rumble for Ragnarok!" as a "beloved Viking wrestling champ." Scrooge was using Exact Words in "Last Christmas!"; Jormungandr is not an apocalyptic threat but a regular opponent he faces, potentially to the point of "The World-Eating Serpent" being a title of his. "Rumble" will have Scrooge unable to fight for whatever reason, and Dewey will take over.
  • As it turns out, Jormungandr is an apocalyptic threat, whose victory in the Rumble would have brought about the end of the world. Scrooge being a wrestling star, albeit a heel, is true.
  • The reasons are wrong, but Confirmed in that Scrooge is a Viking wrestling star, he keeps Jormungandr at bay with wrestling, he gets injured during the fight, and Dewey is the one who steps in.

Black Heron will create The Wuzzles.
She seems to be the resident Mad Scientist of F.O.W.L., plus she has the tendency to be involved in crossover plots (looking for the Gummiberry Juice, creating the Rescue Rangers). One of her experiments will focus on creating dangerous monsters by hybridizing regular animals (bear with butterfly, gorilla with rhinoceros, lion with bumblebee, rabbit with hippopotamus and so forth).
  • And she'll create her most dangerous monster by splicing crocodile and dinosaur DNA.
  • Jossed. The Wuzzles are indeed fusions of regular animals, but they are created by an artifact named the Stone of What Was, which fuses the creatures that touch it.

Webby will find out what happened to her parents.
The end of The Secret Harp of Mervana has the harp sing her Character Catchphrase of "fibbing fibbing fibbing!" whenever someone lies after Beakley tells Webby she has no more secrets from here on out, one of which may be what really really happened to her parents if she told her something different.
  • Confirmed. She's an Opposite-Sex Clone of Scrooge, and Beakley rescued her from the lab where F.O.W.L. made her.

Alternatively, Webby is Beakley's clone!
Like above WMG, the titular Harp of Mervana sings her catchphrase implying that Beakley is lying. Just before Webby and Beakley re-enter the sub, she affirms herself as Webby's grandmother. Strange enough that she would specifically affirm that detail. Possibly because she isn't Webby's grandmother, but Webby's genetic template! That would explain why Webby doesn't seem to have any parents and why she and Beakley are so similar! Because they are the same person! The question is, who created Webby? It's possible after having been foiled one too many times by Agent 22, a FOWL agent (possibly Black Heron) decided to take her genetic material and use it to create the ultimate superspy/assassin to serve as a counter to Agent 22. However, Beakley, upon breaking into a FOWL research laboratory, found the clone upon or while dispatching the villain, and took it upon herself to care for and protect the clone and raised it the way she was raised. There are some aspects of her backstory that have been revealed that support this idea, including that she has a rather flirtatious nature with some male characters in the past and present. If she has a child to raise yet has no loving partner to aid her, it would seem more likely that she wouldn't have the romantic interests that she currently has, implying that she never laid an egg that hatched into a child. Not to mention the fact that both Webby and Beakley have shown traits of Suspiciously Specific Denial and tend to be paranoid of strangers. Also, why would Beakley train Webby so rigorously for spy activities when she is a retired spy and deprive Webby of a social life? Because Webby is a target due to being a lost asset to FOWL! They may decide to recapture Webby and reuse her as a genetic template or brainwash her into serving them! And with her current skills, she or her clones could go toe to toe with the likes of everyone in Clan McDuck! And that is why Beakley is to Webby what she is!
  • On the other hand Gyro could have made her. He seems a little too fixated on clones and after his Time Tub got stolen was quick to point out that he was "definitely not cloning an army." Given how many of his inventions have caused massive amounts of destruction, one has to wonder why something like a clone army would be what he'd try to hide. After all, Lil' Bulb destroyed Scrooge's office and part of his archives and Scrooge only reacts as though he's been mildly inconvenienced. On top of that, Gyro eats sleeps and breathes this denial trope. He and Webby are its biggest users by far.
  • Jossed. She's Scrooge's clone/daughter.

Black Heron and Gandra Dee have a Villainous Friendship
Both are women of science and all.

Isabella Finch will be revealed to have gotten a Historical Hero Upgrade.
The real Isabella Finch has done morally questionable things in life and the adventures she had have a Written by the Winners tint to them.
  • In a way. Seems she was every bit the brave and adventurous explorer she's depicted as, but her apparent emotional neglect of young Bradford as she dragged him along with her did end up being a major catalyst for the season's main conflict.

Louie will take Emma's scolding to heart
And will practice and perfect his scheming.

Every Season 3 episode will introduce something/someone
If the episodes so far are any indication, the rest of season 3 will have either introduce an important MacGuffin, most likeley from Isabella Finch's journal, debut a new character, or re-introduce a chacracter that hasn't been in the show for awhile.

Gosalyn will be voiced by Jenny Slate
If only for the potential of an interaction between her and Dewey
  • Jossed. Stephanie Beatriz.

Falcon Graves will be approached and recruited by F.O.W.L.
Despite being defeated and humiliated by the Duck family for a second time and being blacklisted as a security guard by Emma Galore and Daisy, Bradford Buzzard will acknowledge how professional and competent Graves is at carrying out his assignments and offer him a place in F.O.W.L. to better utilize his talents, which Falcon takes him up on and quickly become The Ace amongst the organization's agents.

Webby's parents (and family) are F.O.W.L. operatives
If you count Black Heron as her parent, then yes. But her true parent is Scrooge, whom she was cloned from.

Dr. Akita is a member of/will be recruited by F.O.W.L.
A Card-Carrying Villain master of robotics seems like exactly the sort of person F.O.W.L. would want. He could come Back for the Finale, be Gyro's Evil Counterpart, and/or add an It's Personal angle should Gyro be involved in the F.O.W.L. plot.

Abner Duck will mentor Huey.
Huey's greatest blindspot as a Junior Woodchuck is his dependency on the Guidebook. To help overcome this flaw, he seeks tutelage from the greatest outdoorsman he has access to: The fifth Duck cousin, Abner "Whitewater" Duck. The cantankerous lumberjack is reluctant, but seeing plenty of his little brother Fethry in Huey convinces him the young duck his worth the time. Abner is a Sink or Swim Mentor, and like Fethry, his methods aren't as conventional as Huey would like. However, Huey does learn how to commit Abner's wilderness survival knowledge to memory, and to trust his own instincts.

Daisy Duck's nieces April, May, and June will make a guest appearance.
  • Confirmed! They're featured in the finale. But they aren't Daisy's nieces — April is actually Webby, and May and June were cloned from her.

F.O.W.L. will be revealed to have played a part in Della's disappearance.
With Della being a highly experienced adventurer, and having strength and determination rivaling her Uncle Scrooge's, F.O.W.L. may have decided to exploit the Spear of Selene surprise Scrooge had planned for Della as a means of removing her from the picture. At some point, the F.O.W.L. agents, particularly the Buzzards, may take up an opportunity to gloat to Scrooge and/or his family about how they tipped Della off about the rocket and triggered her eagerness to test-drive it as a result. While the Buzzards may have allowed Scrooge to undergo a search-and-rescue mission for nearly ten years, this may have been an effort to crush Scrooge's spirits considering how none of the search attempts succeeded.
  • Confirmed. In the finale, Bradford admits he tipped Della off about the rocket's existence.

Taurus Bulba will be Eviler than Thou.
Since he was the most dangerous villain in Darkwing Duck, more so than F.O.W.L. The Buzzards may attempt to recruit him, only to be betrayed and forcibly displaced by him because "Taurus Bulba works for no one but himself!".
  • Confirmed for "Let's Get Dangerous!". Except that Bulba was already working for F.O.W.L., but goes rogue after Bradford berates him for being a Card-Carrying Villain.

Rhinokey will undergo Adaptational Name Change.
To correspond with his Adaptational Species Change to a rhinoceros/gorilla hybrid. Most likely to "Rhinorilla".
  • Confirmed. Dewey calls him "Rhinocerilla", Kit calls him "Gorillinoceros".

Crocosaurus (a.k.a. Crock) will be in the episode with The Wuzzles.
Because you gotta have a reptilian monster alongside the mammalian and insectoid ones. Since he was the Big Bad of the show, he will be the biggest threat out of all the hybrids, now a vicious apex predator if not a Prehistoric Monster. Bonus points if his new realistic-looking design will be based on modern depictions of theropods with a bird-like gait and horizontal body, making him resemble a Baryonyx or a Suchomimus.
  • And he'll end up having a Primate Versus Reptile Behemoth Battle against Rhinokey/Rhinorilla.
  • Jossed. Butterbear and Rhinokey are the only two Wuzzles that appear (though Bumblelion appears as a carving on the Stone of What Was). Also, Crocosaurus's existence is questionable, since it's unlikely there are non-avian dinosaurs still alive for the stone's power
    • Although the stone is said to merge animals and other things, so if a crocodile merged with a dinosaur fossil....

Bradford Buzzard is Phineas Sharpe.
Bradford Buzzard is just an alias, in reality, he is the DuckTales 2017 version of Phineas Sharpe. In Darkwing Duck, Sharpe was a seasoned Diabolical Mastermind who just happened to be a vulture. Like Sharpe, "Bradford" will have also been a foe of SHUSH in the past.
  • Jossed. Bradford was a SHUSH operative who was frustrated with how their attempts to maintain order just ended up creating more chaos, and who decided to take over the world so he could run it more efficiently. The cartoonish villainy aspects (like the "Fiendish" in the organization's name) are due to Black Heron's influence.

The original name of FOWL and their origins are both tied to Isabella Finch and the Junior Woodchucks.
In the comics, the story "Guardians of the Lost Library" has many similarities to the plot of Season 3 - however, the book guiding the ducks to adventure around the world isn't Isabella Finch's journal, but the oldest known copy of the Junior Woodchuck Guidebook. In addition, FOWL seems a little more than intent on getting the journal, but have existed for centuries and have already uncovered some of the artifacts on their own. In the comic, there was a society going back to ancient times dedicated to protecting the book - one that still exists many years later. FOWL might be the Ducktales version of this society, moving it from ancient times to more recent history and giving them more sinister motivations, perhaps using the society's goal of collecting all of the world's knowledge into a single text in order to be "smarter than the smarties - even Scrooge". The Buzzards also insist on cutting funding to "historical research" in the first episode - perhaps trying to obscure their own history from Scrooge. As well, if they are connected to the Junior Woodchucks, it would explain why the Senior Woodchuck Trials are so dangerous - they were originally not scouting challenges, but spy/defense challenges.
  • F.O.W.L. was created by Bradford Buzzard, who is still fairly spry, so it definitely hasn't been around for centuries, let alone since ancient times. Its original name was the Organization for World Larceny; Black Heron demanded the Fiendish be added.

Scrooge worked for FOWL when he worked as a freelance operative in the 1960s.
He's hired the Buzzards to work for him knowingly, but mistakenly thinks that since he's worked for them before, they wouldn't betray him.
  • Heavily Jossed. Scrooge and Bradford both worked for SHUSH, but Scrooge remained loyal while Bradford betrayed them to start F.O.W.L.

Dapper Duck will appear
He will initially appear as Donald's doppelganger who gets in-between his romance with Daisy. However, Dapper will go the route of Adaptational Villainy; he is revealed to be a F.O.W.L. agent whose charming mannerisms are all a facade, and he'll take advantage of being an Identical Stranger to Donald in order to get close to Scrooge. Hilarity Ensues if he can't imitate Donald's quacky voice properly.

Isabella Finch is still alive but frozen

There will be some allusions to a figure named "Big M", who is either a celebrity or a high-ranking SHUSH agent, possibly even its head, revealed to be Mickey Mouse.
Yes, yes, I know Frank said they can't depict him, but what if they secretly acquire permission from the higher-ups to depict him? The Phantom Blot appeared. Who's to say that Mickey can't appear?
  • It's specifically Mickey that's the problem. Mickey Mouse is less a character and more Disney's logo; for most of the 20th century they did practically nothing with him out of fear of damaging their brand. Mickey's extended cast, including the Phantom Blot, aren't under the same protection.

The season finale will have F.O.W.L. launching an attack on the McDuck family and all of their allies
The season finales of the past had grand sweeping attacks involved so why buck tradition here? A protracted sequence of everyone getting attacked would be a good way to establish stakes.
  • The season finales of the past also involved a fakeout, with the season arc (the search for Della and the contest between Scrooge and Glomgold) being supplanted by a new villain (Magica and Lunaris, respectively) who'd been established to the viewers but who the characters are blindsided by. Without knowing why F.O.W.L. wants all of Isabella Finch's Missing Mysteries, though, it's hard to say what might be unleashed there.

Season 4 setup at the end of the finale
  • In a surprise appearance Mickey Mouse will appear either reading an article or seeing news footage about the McDucks and decide its time to go see Donald again or he'll appear in person to get Donald's help for something.
  • The Evronians will appear in space making their way to Earth. Bonus point if Lunaris falls out of orbit and is rambling in a terror stricken manner.
    • Hope not-for all their comedic mannerism, they're one of the most nightmarish threats coming out of Disney.
  • Merlock appearing.
  • Dracula Duck appearing.
  • The Phantom Blot and Pepper will escape capture and break off from F.O.W.L. to team up with Negaduck.
  • Taurus Bulba taking over FOWL after Bradford is dealt with, focusing the group on outright supervillainy as opposed to the prior order of pragmatism.
  • Count Moloculo, Morgana's father, will declare war on all mortals following FOWL's master plan which included the destruction of all magic, mysteries and monsters.
  • A montage of the heroes and villains that hints at where their stories go next
    • Scrooge will be looking over the Spear of Selene blueprints, planning to rebuild it so the family can go to the stars like he intended from the start.
    • Huey will be working on another Junior Woodchuck Badge, mentioning that he's getting ready for the Senior Junior Woodchuck challenge again.
    • Dewey will be filming Dewey Dew Night with one of the Duck Family's many allies as a guest.
    • Louie will be going over a treasure map of some sort, actually gathering gear to dig it up instead of just hoping to find it in the open.
    • Donald will be on his houseboat and have some calamitous thing happen to him again but perks up when Daisy calls him.
    • Della will be seen flying the Sunchaser and mentioning she needs to get practice in for space flight.
    • Webby will find a picture of her parents but hides it away when someone asks what she has.
    • Beakly will be on comms with SHUSH and hastily hangs up when Webby walks in the room.
    • Gyro will change his hairstyle to be his original one or change the current style's color to red.
    • Fenton will get his own office, complete with a space for the Gizmoduck suit.
    • Darkwing, Launchpad and Gosalyn will head to solve a crime spree involving stolen pizza toppings.
    • Daisy will be speaking on the phone about her new job under Glamour with it being revealed that she's talking to Minnie Mouse.
    • Goofy will be at home and Max will show up.
    • Jose and Panchito are working on band ideas and will find a set of three medallions.
    • The Rescue Rangers will set up base in a tree on Scrooge's property with Monty stealing some cheese from an unaware Donald.
    • Magica will be seen returning to the DeSpell ancestral home now that she has her magic back.
    • The Phantom Blot will be seen making his way to Mouseton.
    • Taurus Bulba will be seen going over blueprints for his Steerminator form or profiles for the civilian identities of the Fearsome Five.
    • The montage will end with the reveal of next season's Big Bad watching all of these scenes through either scientific or mystical means.
  • Gladstone wins an old manor at a lottery, but the mailman mistakenly delivers the deed and key to Donald-and when Donald goes to check "his" new manor, he finds the journal of Fantomius, the Gentleman Thief.
  • All Jossed, as there will be no season 4.
  • Taurus Bulba will appear to begin planning his revenge to take place in season 4, only to be told there is no season 4. Which will cause Taurus Bulba to give up on his revenge plan against the Duck family and decide to battle against Darkwing Duck, this will lead into a trailer for the new Darkwing Duck show.

Brat and Flizard will appear.
Brat will be less of a Cartoon Creature and more based on real-life animals, one of which will be a wild boar and the other either a reptile or a rat. Meanwhile Flizard will be far more lizard- and frog-like, with a long and sticky tongue, sticky pads on his feet, and possibly Chameleon Camouflage. However, it's unlikely either of them will be working with Crocosaurus since he'll view them as prey.

The Wuzzles will undergo Adaptational Villainy to some extent.
They've been established to purely animalistic in this version, meaning they'll be instinct-driven and likely to attack for whatever reason, be it hunger or territoriality. Bumblelion, Butterbear, and Hoppopotamus are likely candidates, Eleroo and Moosel would be prone to this as well, and to say nothing of Crocosaurus and Brat. Least likely would be Rhinokey (since the Killer Gorilla has become a Discredited Trope, although a Rhino Rampage is still possible) and Flizard (unless if he's poisonous like many frogs, or large enough to eat a man).
  • They'll probably be connected to FOWL somehow.
  • Confirmed, sort of. Rhinokey is aggressive and attacks the Ducks; Butterbear is initially also hostile, but Della manages to wrangle her.

Rhinokey will be a Gentle Giant.
As mentioned above, Killer Gorilla is now a Discredited Trope, with the final nail to the coffin being Disney having gorillas as the main heroic animals of Tarzan. At first, he will appear as a dangerous monster, only it will turn out to be a misunderstanding and he will ally with the Ducks. Bonus points if he has his original counterpart's playful nature.
  • Jossed, Rhinokey is aggressive, charging at the Ducks upon sight. It is Butterbear who becomes an ally to the Ducks.

Magica will find out Phantom Blot is her boss Funzo
This will lead to a bit of Dialogue Reversal.
Magica: Now what did we say about declaring magical war on children?
Blot:*at her mercy* To not to?

Owlson doesn't like to talk about the Glom-Coaster.
While her year working for Glomgold Industries as a whole could be an Old Shame of hers, the Glom-Coaster is her roughest sorespot.

Drake Mallard and Launchpad will become an Official Couple.
The show's crew seems to be testing the waters of LGBT representation, first with the Sabrewing Dads and now with Penumbra all but outright stating she's a lesbian (which has been confirmed by the show's staff on Twitter). With Launchpad being confirmed bisexual, and the already present subtext of him and Drake living together and raising Gosalyn in the original Darkwing Duck cartoon, the idea of the two being a duo of gay dads isn't out of the question. Other possible backing for this theory could include:
  • Lauchpad and Drake are visibly closer in age in this show than they were in the 90's Darkwing Duck cartoon.
  • Launchpad's idea of a good conversation topic for a date is discussing Darkwing Duck, and on Frank Angones' tumblr, he said that Launchpad's ideal wedding would be Darkwing-themed.
  • Lauchpad "really likes purple - a lot" to the point where one of his past crushes was also purple-themed.
  • As previously mentioned, Launchpad is canonically bisexual, having dated men, women, and nonbinary people in the past.
  • Frank Angones has liked and retweeted several peices of fanart on his Twitter that refer to LP and Drake as Gosalyn's dads.
  • Launchpad is getting a lot of focus this season, possibly building up to the end of his arc. Given the show seems to be setting up Darkwing Duck to be in the place he was in the original cartoon, we might expect to see LP move in with him later down the line.
  • One of the promotional videos for the episode "Let's Get Dangerous" is titled as "Darkwing Duck x LP Reunion", with "Character x Character" being a common phrase in Shipping.

The monsters will be the Duck family's ace against FOWL.
Since they now seem to be more friendly with the Ducks for impressing them, they could be willing to help out with fighting FOWL. And considering that a bunch of Halloween monsters will be the last thing FOWL expects, they could be a big ace in the hole.

King Arthur will be the Good Counterpart to Ponce de Leon.
This is assuming if King Arthur will be portrayed more like in Legend of the Three Caballeros, as another anthropomorphic lion who gained immortality. Whereas Ponce was a Composite Character of Scar and Prince John, Arthur will be one of Mufasa and King Richard.

Bradford will end up becoming a supervillain.
He will be turned into the Steerminator on the orders of the other vultures or by Taurus Bulba. Becoming one of the things he hates. The Steerminator would have a different name.
  • Why would it be called the Steerminator in this canon if it's Bradford that's turned and not Taurus Bulba?
  • Bradford's motives (establish order by force) don't seem to be compatible with being a supervillain, and his underlings seem to obey him almost reflexively with only Heron chafing at his restrictions.

Professor Waddlemeyer will be saved and become Darkwing's tech guy
Drake and him will decide to work together to raise Gosalyn, with Waddlemeyer building tech for Darkwing like the Thunderquack.

Professor Waddlemeyer will become a supervillain
He'll return from the alternate universe a changed duck, having become an evil dictator or overlord. Gosalyn will at first side with him only to choose to stay with Darkwing, cementing the theme that family is the one you choose.

Members of F.O.W.L. will end up turning on Bradford and the board
Despite Bradford's claims they aren't supervillains, many of them certainly see themselves as supervillains. This will cause a riff among High Command and some of the agents. Possibly Black Heron, Steelbeak or both will be part of the revolt.

The lost treasures are all pieces in a much bigger plan
I find it hard to believe Bradford would go full supervillain so easily. But if he has some grand plan that NEEDS the lost treasures of Isabella Finch's journal and he can't operate from the shadows anymore, he may be letting everyone off the leash.
  • There's an odd contradiction here. First, F.O.W.L. steals all of the missing mysteries that the Ducks found, including the Harp, which isn't exactly a world-conquering artifact. Second, they steal Gene the Genie, but don't appear to make any wishes. This points to the treasures adding up to something. But on the flip side, not only do they allow the Ducks to take the Split Sword of Swanstantine, they couldn't have used it if they wanted to. And the treasures themselves don't seem to fit together into some kind of giant scheme.
  • Mostly jossed. The Solego Circuit specifically is key to Bradford's master plan, and some of the other Missing Mysteries are utilized individually, but the true plan is to simply destroy all of them.

Bradford wants to use the Missing Mysteries to change the world - and make it more like our own.
Bradford seems to be upset with adventuring, and more specifically all of the strange and bizarre circumstances it causes. He's also firmly against supervillains, wacky evil schemes, and anything that's not strictly buisness. We know many of the artifacts - such as Gene's lamp and the Solego circuit - have been proven to be able to alter reality in the past. In addition, many of the other mysteries could be used to keep enemies at bay - or keep Bradford in control.

Bradford will be defeated when he realizes that he became what he hated.
Bradford clearly seems to view himself as very much not a supervillain as well has not wanting to take risks. In the finale of the season, however, it will be pointed out that his plan to steal the world is arguably the most cliché supervillain motive ever. It will also be pointed out that despite not liking risks, not ever killing off Scrooge or any of his family, as well as working for him, was a pretty massive risk. And upon realizing that his plan to stop the McDuck adventures only lead to one of their biggest, he will have a serious Villainous Breakdown and snap, leading to his defeat.
  • Bradford does lean more into supervillainy and has a minor Villainous Breakdown as a result, but his defeat is not connected to this.

Despite Bradford's claims to the contrary, F.O.W.L.'s master plan will nearly bring about the end of the world.
At some point in the episode(s) containing these events a past version of Launchpad will spontaneously blip in, join the protagonists for a bit, and then blip back out prior to the conflict getting resolved.

The feather F.O.W.L stole from Scrooge is the key to Castle McDuck.
We know from the titles that we're returning to Castle McDuck but the mists shouldn't part for five more years, so perhaps the feather from Scrooge is a key through the mists.
  • Jossed, the Phantom Blot used a machine to suck up the mists and collect the magic there, without the use of Scrooge's feather.
    • Ultimately, the feather turned out to not even be Scrooge's, but Webby's, used to make clones of her.

Season 3 will have a Bittersweet Ending.
On one hand, F.O.W.L is defeated and at least one of their members had made a Heel–Face Turn. On the other hand, Scrooge had to sacrifice most of his fortune to save someone's life and his home gets repossessed, not to mention Glomgold finally becoming the richest duck in the world.
  • Glomgold doesn't appear to even be a contender for richest duck any more, given how pathetic and slapdash his only scheme this season has been.

Webby will use her impersonation skills to dupe F.O.W.L.
One of the upcoming adventures will have one of the boys carrying out a task that F.O.W.L. will try to impede. But after they intercept him and have a confrontation, "he" will be revealed to be Webby, while they've been stalled long enough by that point for their actual target to achieve his goal.
  • Confirmed, though she impersonates June, not one of the triplets.

"The First Adventure!" will have a fair share of Call Forwards.
Especially to the first episode, with things like Scrooge saying the kids (here being Della and Donald) are trouble.
  • Confirmed that there are at least some, such as the bag of marbles.

F.O.W.L's plan is to take advantage of Scrooge's wording to rediscover the Papyrus of Binding
He stated that only his living heirs could find it so F.O.W.L will somehow force his family to find the Papyrus for them.
  • Alternatively, Bradford's scheme will result in him becoming the heir to the McDuck fortune for exactly long enough to recover the Papyrus. We already know he can make himself younger, and with Gene's help he can probably change his shape. None of the other treasures seem to fit the plan, though.
  • Confirmed as to the wording: they created Webby, aka April, as Scrooge's direct heir so she could eventually find the Papyrus of Binding; this may or may not have required her being adopted so as to be emotionally family as well as a direct blood descendant.

There exists a Cursed Kilt of Clan McDuck.
Building on "The Fight for Castle McDuck!", which features the Blessed Bagpipe (the apparent basis for one of Scrooge's catchphrases), there must also be a Cursed Kilt somewhere (which would be the basis for his other catchphrase).

Bradford's grandma is Isabella Finch herself.
Ludwig mentions, seemingly for no reason, that Bradford's grandmother asked Ludwig to hire Bradford as a favor to her. We know from what Frank Angones has said that "The First Adventure!" is only a peek into F.O.W.L.'s origins, so maybe there's more to Bradford's story than we think. Of course, if this were the case, Bradford would likely be adopted.
  • Confirmed.

Hortense will make an appearance.
Scrooge's other sister already appeared so, who can rule out the possibility of Hortense still being alive as well?

A future Papyrus prophecy will dicate something that can only be done or retrieved by a heartless person.
And that person will end up being B.O.Y.D., who's only literally heartless.

Bradford Buzzard and the other accounts will be the main atagonists for all of Season 3 until the end of it, but they will eventually be betrayed once they get all of the lost treasures of Isabella Finch and the World by another member of FOWL, Probably Black Heron and she or another member will be the final villain of Season 3.
I know I am just throwing this theory out there and it is most unlikely to happen but it would be interesting if once FOWL gets all of the Lost Treasures, if Bradford and the other accountants get too confidant they have the upper hand against Scrooge and his Family, that when they let their guard down, Black Heron and the other members of FOWL steal all of the Treasures and they betray Bradford. We've seen how unhinged Black Heron is, who knows if she will stay loyal to Bradford when she has all of the treasures and no longer needs him anymore? And aside from the Phantom Blot, no one has any "real" powers, Financial and Political powers yes but no Magical Powers. It would also be sweet to see him have to begrudgingly team up with Scrooge McDuck and his Family, to stop the other Members of FOWL and if his pride and ego is not too big, for him to see that he was wrong about trying to keep the world "safe" by controlling it with an iron wing/talon.
  • This fits the pattern of previous seasons, where the season-ending villain is someone who was well-established to the viewer but catches the Ducks completely off guard.
    • Jossed. Bradford's the final villain.

Della and Donald have a bet on wheither Scrooge's rivalry with Santa is justified.
Donald bet that Scrooge is overreacting and it's all over something stupid their uncle's blowing out of portion. Della bet that Santa betrayed him and left him for dead and so every year Santa's coming back to finish the job. Loser pays the winner 20 bucks.
  • As of "How Santa Stole Christmas!", Della owes Donald 20 bucks.

A future episode will a Mêlée à Trois, between Scrooge McDuck, Flintheart Glomgold and John D. Rockerduck.
They will each be seeking one of Isabella Finch's Lost Treasures. The adventure will show them that they are not so different but also that they are Not So Similar.

The main villains will be forced into an Enemy Mine with the heroes to stop F.O.W.L. in the series finale
The regular antagonists have mostly been pushed to the sidelines with F.O.W.L.'s emergence. The organization's goal to take over the world will have as much an impact on them as it would on the good guys. Also it's worth noting that one of its members, The Phantom Blot, is an enemy of one of the main villains, Magica DeSpell.

The Grand Finale will be named after a part of the theme song, just like "Woo-oo!".
I'm thinking "The Final Curtain!" would fit the most.

  • Jossed: it's titled "The Last Adventure!".

The final battle against FOWL will be backed up by an orchestral version of the theme song.

Bentley and Buford Buzzard are clones of Bradford.
Throughout season 3,Bradford has had a major role, but the other two haven't done much yet. They were also never seen in "The First Adventure," where much of Bradford's backstory was revealed. Also, they all share the same voice actor. It's possible that Bradford cloned himself after founding F.O.W.L.
  • Confirmed.

April, May and June will be introduced in the very last scene of the series.
Voice actors for May and June have already been announced, so it's confirmed they'll appear. The scene will go this way: as Scrooge, after defeating F.O.W.L., is about to set out on a new adventure, Daisy shows up, telling him: "These are my nieces, April, May and June. I couldn't find a babysitter for them, can you take care of them?" And Scrooge opts to take the girls on said adventure. This will give the series a nice Book Ends.
  • Jossed, they're featured early on in the finale.

After Bradford's defeat, someone else will take over F.O.W.L.
There is a Darkwing Duck reboot in the works and F.O.W.L. also has a significant role in that show. Assuming the reboot will follow the Ducktales 2017 continuity, it's a good bet that F.O.W.L. won't be gone for good, at least not forever. What could happen after Bradford is dealt with is that F.O.W.L. is temporarily put out of commission, only for another character to reinstate it later on. Black Heron and Steelbeak (the latter being a recurring villain in Darkwing Duck) seem the most likely to do it, perhaps making their escape during the final showdown.

The piece of nanotech cloth Huey recovered will be a Chekhov's Gun.
When the protagonists start noticing Gandra's absence, they may realize F.O.W.L. prevented her from leaving. As such, they may end up using the cloth scrap to track her down to rescue her as well as discover an important F.O.W.L. location.

By the end of the series, someone else will take over Waddle.
Since the season finale will be the ultimate conclusion of the show, maybe Mark Beaks will finally lose his position as CEO of Waddle and also get arrested, given how poorly his company is doing at the moment. With Waddle up for the taking, McDuck Enterprises could acquire the company and revitalize it, but who will run it? Fenton? Gandra? Or both?

Where is April?
We're going to have Daisy's nieces showing up, but interestingly, we only have voices for May and June. Why not April? Well, there's an interesting theory: April is actually Webby. Here we go into Insane Troll Logic territory here! The theory starts with the last bit in "The Lost Harp of Mervana" with Beakley telling Webby there's no more secrets between them and the harp replies "FIBBING! FIBBING! FIBBING!" Now, here goes the Troll Logic. In the Dutch translated comics, April, May and June are known as Lizzy, Juultje and Babetje. In the Dutch dub of the 1987 DuckTales series,, Webby was known as "Lizzy". Seeing as the creators of the series have done massive deep dives in lore (Della's fate on the Moon came from the Dutch comics), they might have went with this route!
  • April being Webby confirmed.

Poe DeSpell will somehow be tied into the finale
There are two ways this could happen:

A) Magica is persuaded into helping F.O.W.L. when they reveal they have captured her raven-morphed brother and can turn him back to normal. The Phantom Blot, due to his history with Magica, would most likely have planned this, figuring that Poe would make a much better pawn than Lena to hurt Magica emotionally.

B) The Phantom Blot is Poe DeSpell - with Magica unable to turn him back, he left to find a way himself, ultimately stripping him of his magic and possibly deforming him, leaving him with a hatred of magic and bitterness towards his sister for her betrayal.

After the two sorcerer siblings reunite and reconcile, they help take down F.O.W.L. alongside the McDuck clan. Afterwards, however, they pull a Heel–Face Revolving Door and try to destroy the heroes on their own, only for Lena to trap them both in Scrooge's number one dime. Or. Poe's time as a raven eventually made him consider how unfair it was to turn innocent villagers into animals. He will pull a full Heel–Face Turn that sticks, but Magica, overly consumed with hatred for Scrooge, might not be so open-minded.

  • Jossed. Poe does not appear in the finale and there's no indication he is the Phantom Blot.

The last scene of the finale will more or less tease into the Darkwing Duck reboot
Launchpad decides to move to St. Canard full-time while Della takes over as Scrooge's pilot - the fact that LP has been absent from the last bunch of episodes may mean he's just been spending less time in Duckburg. Meanwhile, Taurus Bulba returns to claim what is left of F.O.W.L. for his next move. Clearly being more of a Card-Carrying Villain compared to Bradford, it makes sense that Bulba would take over.
  • A brief scene of Gosalyn with Drake and Launchpad in Saint Canard will have the former's attention grabbed by a group of bullies ganging up on a kid just out of viewers' sight. She'll chase them off and then turn to help up the kid, who's then shown to be a young avian boy in glasses who then thanks her.
    • Jossed, although Drake is seen together with Launchpad and Gosalyn in the finale's closing credits.

Someone will help Magica to find her brother Poe
They don't want to reunite brother and sister for the reunion's sake (i.e. not because they have any warm feelings towards either of the dark wizards), but because they want to use the DeSpells' shared transformation ability to reverse the transformation of someone else:
  • One of the hapless villagers Poe or Magica turned into animals for shits and giggles
  • F.O.W.L. remnants want to get their leader Bradford Buzzard back
  • Someone else they transformed for funzies
  • Everyone they ever turned into animals: Someone will take an obscenely powerful magical artifact, strap the DeSpell siblings to it and make them activate the reversal spell that will turn everyone back so as not having to find the person or persons they want back, as they think that the person will contact them after they got their wits back.
