John Egbert
John Egbert, God of Wind and Comic Pranksters (Zoosmell Pooplord, ghostyTrickster, GT, ectoBiologist, EB, BOY, YOU THERE BOY, stupid human, the Heir of Breath, the Heir)
- Intermediate God, bordering on Greater God.
- Symbol: A Slimer-like thing that totally isn't Slimer
- Theme Song: Showtime, Doctor, Heir Conditioning
- Alignment: Neutral Good
- Portfolio: Goofiness, Playing Tricks, Keeping The Team Together, Staying Optimistic In The Face Of Skepticism, Having Good/Bad Taste In Movies, Dying A Lot.
- Domains: Wind, Pranks, Salamanders, Friendship, Con Air
- High Priest: Sky High
- Followers: Jin, Jokey Smurf, Hay Lin, Linka
- Allies: [[ Dave Strider]], The Trolls, Aang, Monkey D. Luffy
- Enemies: Jack Noir, Lord English, Giygas
- Opposed By: Caliborn
- Ascended after dying on a Quest Bed and drilling a hole through a planet.
- Some gods wonder whether or not he realizes that the movies he watches aren't as good as he thinks they are. He doesn't, although he has come to scrapes with this on occasion.
- Has a firm alliance with Monkey D. Luffy due to a shared love of fun and friendship.
- He has also taken on the task of reintroducing Aang to the fun of pies.
- Can be found in the House of watching Con Air with Dave (who snarks the whole time).
- While he and Temari don't interact much, Temari doesn't seem threatened by his presence and position in the pantheon. It is even rumored that she assisted in one his pranks on House of Nature (presumably just to mess with Shikamaru).
- The ability to move around and talk to other gods and goddesses has had a positive effect on his personality, with John no longer showing signs of Cabin Fever.
- Is disturbed by the presence of Giygas, who remains him of some of his weirder nightmares.
- Is currently awaiting the ascent of other Sburb players so he can have more conversations and better targets.
The Trolls
The Trolls, Gods and Goddesses of Multidimensionally Entangled Lovers (Collectively: Team Adorabloodthirsty; Individually: Aradia Megido, Tavros Nitram, Sollux Captor, Karkat Vantas, Nepeta Leijon, Kanaya Maryam, Terezi Pyrope, Vriska Serket, Equius Zahhak, Gamzee Makara, Eridan Ampora, and Feferi Peixes.)
- Ten of the twelve are Lesser Gods and Goddesses; Aradia Megido and Vriska Serket are Intermediate Goddesses
- Symbol: Any suit of standard playing cards, or an arrangement of twelve appropriately colored zodiac signs.
- Alignment: Probably at least one of each (but most are Jerkasses)
- Portfolio: Theme Naming around the Western Zodiac, Falling In Love With Aliens (Kanaya, Karkat, Terezi, and Vriska only), Being Reared By Wild Animals, Being Played By A Game Because It Can't Go Any Other Way
- Domains: Dream and Love are shared by all twelve, but they each have at least one other domain as well.
- Allies: Each troll has his/her own. note
- Enemies: Each troll has his/her own, but they all oppose Lord English, except for Gamzee and only Vriska doesn't oppose Terumi Yuuki, but they're not allies. Eridan, for example, used to oppose the entire House of Magic on the grounds that magic is fake.
- The Romantic Comedy gone Serial Escalation: Troll society has four different types of relationships, all based on biological imperative, which must all be fulfilled for each individual to reach romantic fulfillment. Naturally, this leads to problems.
- The four kinds of troll love are:
- Matespritship ("Flushed Quadrant", ♥): Conventional romantic love.
- Kismesis ("Caliginous Quadrant", ♠): Mutual hate that, somehow, leads to procreation in the same manner as matespritship.
- Moirallegiance ("Pale Quadrant", ♦): Two trolls temper each others' attributes.
- Auspistice ("Ashen Quadrant", ♣): This occurs when a third troll is introduced into a kismesis to stabilize the relationship so as to prevent kismeses from killing each other and destabilizing the social order.
- Ascended after a lengthy explanation on how this all works. Gained power when it was later revealed that through Sgrub they created the universe.
- Terumi considers some of them a "disgrace to the art of trolling" after having read some of their attempts. ("Some" meaning "everyone that isn't Vriska or Terezi".) And even those two clearly have emotional problems that Terumi just loves to mess with.
- It's believed that if Vriska ever fought Bernkastel the universe would undergo a Reality-Breaking Paradox from all the luck and probability manipulation. Nobody tells either deity this, for fear they would take it as a dare.
- Terezi can often be seen hanging around the House of Justice.
- Karkat and Vriska have both penned novels in their time beyond the fourth wall. The first wrote an allegedly historical romance about a resistance leader and his beloved disciple; the second was a rather...trashy story about the life and loves of Spinneret Mindfang, as 'recorded' in diary format. Despite accusations of preachiness and self-insertion respectively, both tales were well-received among the Pantheon.
- Gamzee was disappointed to find that the House lacked sopor, but managed to content himself with melange spice.
- Do not leave pictures of buckets laying around in public. They will find you disgusting for leaving such lewd material for everyone to see. No one is sure how they would react if they saw pictures of Kisume (a girl in a bucket), but it probably wouldn't be a good idea.
- Were a bit bewildered by Vol'jin in the House of Otherness; to quote Karkat, "THE FUCK? IS THAT WHAT TROLLS IN OTHER WORLDS AND TIMESTREAMS LOOK LIKE?" Likewise, Vol'jin was rather confused by the Alternian Trolls, and especially by their four romances. However, he agreed with the twelve alien trolls to call Matespritship, Moirallegiance, Auspistice, and Kismessisitude the Alternian-Beforan Romances.
- Feferi is currently working with Madoka to redeem Eridan. Though slightly jealous that Madoka's knowledge of Hope so clearly exceeds her moirail's, she is glad that someone is there to protect it.
- Karkat personally dislikes Princess Anna, but has taken it upon himself to convert her to the quadrant system- most commonly by arguing that her sisterhood with Elsa is a textbook moirallegiance. Anna is not convinced.
Nicol Bolas
Nicol Bolas, Dragon God of Multiversal Conquerors
- Greater God (formerly Overdeity)
- Symbol: A Gemstone floating between two horns
- Alignment: Above Good and Evil (so he claims)
- Portfolio: Agony Beam, Mind Rape, The Most Powerful Planeswalker, The Dreaded, Evil Overlord, Dragon Sorcerer, Xanatos Gambit, Oldest Planeswalker, Sorcerous Overlord, Mind Manipulation, Black Magic, Dimensional Traveler
- Domain: Magic, Dimensional Travel
- Allies: Arael
- Rivals: Dormammu, Alduin, Homura Akemi, Darquesse, Ganondorf, Aizen Sousuke
- Enemies: Ajani Goldmane, Sorin Markov, Madoka Kaname, Lord Kroak, Azir, Doctor Strange, Merlin, Io, Bahamut
- Nicol Bolas arrived inside the Pantheon when he Planeswalked into the dimension, having sensed the immense concentration of power that resided in the Pantheon. His arrival was immediately noticed by Sorin Markov, who alerted fellow deities in the Magic Pantheon to his presence.
- Since then, Nicol Bolas has taken to studying the nature of the Pantheon and the various users of Magic within it.
- Nicol Bolas is an immensely old and immensely powerful Planeswalker, one of the few still living from the days when Planeswalkers were powerful enough to be considered Gods, even able to create their own days. But with The Mending, Nicol Bolas lost that power and immortality he once possessed, and he set various machinations in place to reclaim that power. He hopes his plans in the Pantheon will lead to that conclusion.
- Nicol Bolas once dared to confront Arael, desiring to know what kind of powers the Angel possessed. Unfortunately, Nicol Bolas was able to strike up an alliance with Arael (Bolas would never indulge in 'friendship'), because Nicol Bolas shared a propensity for shattering minds with but a touch with Arael.
- Very few in the Pantheon are able to match Nicol Bolas in terms of magical power, even though his powers are not what they once were. Before the Mending, he was essentially a God within the Multiverse, able to create entire planes which he ruled, immortal, and able to use magic with effects on a Multiversal level. Now, he has lost that power with the nature of the Planeswalker spark changing, but he seeks to regain that power by any means necessary.
- He has his eyes set on Homura Akemi, as he believes that he could steal her power to restore himself back to his past glory. As such, many of the Good-aligned deities in the Pantheon stand against him and his ambitions, particularly Madoka Kaname.
- If not, then he can always try to take the Hogyoku from Aizen, and use it to give him immortality and restore his power. After all, such an item is more suited for his hands than a mere Soul Reaper who plays at being a God.
- He also has rivalries against many of the powerful Evil-aligned magic users in the Pantheon, particularly Darquesse, whom he sees as a dangerous hinderance to his plans.
- He begrudgingly acknowledges Io as being the progenitor of his own race of dragons, but that only drives Nicol Bolas' ambition to reclaim his powers not only so that he can regain his own strength, but surpass and usurp Io as well. He will have none who are above him, Dragon or otherwise.
- He has shown an interested in in other deities who can summon creatures and spells to do their bidding through cards, as it reminds him of certain Outer Beings who play as Planeswalkers in another plane of existence.
- He is aware of the how the Pantheon came to be, as he once hijacked a page on the Magic The Gathering site to explain the rules of the game based on his multiverse.note
The Eldrazi
The Eldrazi, The Ones Who Devour Life (Emrakul: Emeria, Kamsa, the Aeons Titan | Ulamog: Ula, Mangeni, the Infinite Gyre | Kozilek: Cosi, Talib, Butcher of Truth)
- Rank: Overdeity (Emrakul, Kozilek, and Ulamog)
- Symbol: A grey diamond
- Alignment: Blue-and-Orange Morality
- Portfolio: Eldritch Abomination, Extreme Omnivore, Mind Rape, Parents of Millions of Young, Fighting a Shadow, Outside-Context Problem, Sealed Evil in a Can, Plane Eaters, World-Wrecking Wave, Walking Wasteland, Combat Tentacles, Mistaken For Deities
- Kozilek: Alien Geometries, Eyes Do Not Belong There, Eldritch Location, Mind Rape
- Ulamog: Villainous Glutton, Walking Wasteland, No Body Left Behind, Deader than Dead
- Emrakul: It Can Think, Body Horror, Lovecraftian Superpower, Did We Just Have Tea with Cthulhu?, Demonic Possession, Answers to the Name of God, A Form You Are Comfortable With
- Domains: Eldritch Horrors, The Devouring Of Worlds
- Followers: Kalitas, Ayli
- Kindred Entities: Yog-Sothoth, The Old Gods
- Allies: Nicol Bolas
- Rivals: Phazon, Unicron, Galactus, Ungoliant
- Enemies: Sorin Markov, Chaos Gods, Harry Dresden, The Doctor, Ajani Goldmane
- Sorin Markov warned of the arrival of the Eldrazi, realizing that Nicol Bolas has summoned them from the Blind Eternities, just as he once freed them in an attempt to siphon power from Zendikar to reclaim his power. He knew not Bolas' intentions, only that it would lead to disaster. Ulamog, Emrakul and Kozilek arrived, reaching their essence into the Pantheon to claim the plane for themselves.
- Markov enlisted the aid of fellow Planeswalker Ajani, Harry Dresden and the Doctor who, with their magic and science, and the aid of the entire Magic Pantheon, helped to imprison the Eldrazi within the Moon, drawing on the same tactic used against Emrakul by the Gatewatch in Sorin's home multiverse, before they could ever reach the Pantheon proper and cause irreversible damage. But Sorin soon realized, when Emrakul visited him in a dream: they simply decided it was not their time.
- Emrakul speaks with members of the Pantheon through their minds, even when She is imprisoned in the Moon. She finds great interest in those who are like Her and the other Eldrazi Titans, particularly Yog-Sothoth and the Old Ones.
- When they first arrived, they homed in on the Chaos Gods, living embodiments of mana (magic) that could sate them more than entire worlds. The encounters left the Gods wounded, to the extent that Tzeentch agreed to contribute the magic to seal them. Then again, who knows what Tzeentch intends. While they collectively consider each other enemies, Tzeentch has an interest in Kozilek's mental abilities and Emrakul's mutations, and Nurgle, while hating Kozilek and Ulamog, is rumored to be in love with Emrakul even after She tried to eat him. Don't ask. Khorne just hates them all, while Slaanesh is... "Interested" in them.
- The Main House considers the Eldrazi to be just another big problem on the long list of entities in the Pantheon that are also planet eaters, since it is just that much more trouble to manage another set of three planet-eating entities, though not impossible.
- There are secret conversations between the Eldrazi and the Old Ones, their whispers able to reach any who are in the pantheon. When Eldrazi want freedom, they will allow the Old Ones to corrupt a guardian or two to unleash them, with the condition that the Eldrazi also liberate them from their prison...
