Acolytes
Magneto
Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr)
Voiced by: Tom Kane Foreign VAs
First appearance: "Hindsight, Part 3"
While Professor Xavier seeks to prevent violent conflict between mutants and non-powered humans, his one-time friend Erik Magnus Lehnsherr welcomes it. After surviving extreme persecution as a child, the embittered mutant called Magneto came to believe that his species were the rightful inheritors of the Earth. His mutant ability to control the forces of Magnetism makes him a rousing leader to the mutant nation of Genosha and a formidable foe for Wolverine and the X-Men.
- Abusive Parents: As in the comics, he's emotionally abusive to Wanda and overtly verbally and emotionally abusive to Pietro. His distaste for his son's failures to live up to his standards is so great he had Wanda call the MRD on him so he wouldn't interfere in Magneto's plans. Quite jarring considering Pietro has been nothing but a loyal "Well Done, Son" Guy who craves his father's approval.
- Adaptational Badass: Zigzagged. While Magneto in the comics is a very powerful mutant who has the ability to generate and control magnetic fields, he has the tendency of having his powers decreased in innumerable adaptations (both animated and live action) and is never as powerful as his comic book counterpart through being restricted to hurling around girders as well as being unable to resist telepathic attacks for long periods of time without his helmet. In this adaptation on the other hand, Magneto is just as powerful as his comic book counterpart and possesses more resistance toward telepathic attacks.
- Adaptational Villainy: The classic Magneto has been a Well-Intentioned Extremist and even Anti-Hero at times since Chris Claremont's time on the book. Between disregarding Xavier's warnings about the future and sending Mystique to impersonate Kelly, having Mystique as Kelly send the Sentinels out to Genosha to attack mutants to rally more of them to his cause, and reprogramming the Sentinels to attack humans, this Magneto is basically a kid-friendly version of his Ultimate incarnation or Xorneto.
- Adaptation Name Change: In the comics, his original name was Max Eisenhardt and Erik Lehnsherr was an alias. Here, Erik Lehnsherr is his real name.
- Affably Evil: As with some versions, Magneto is a gentleman in his pursuit of mutant freedom.
- Antagonist Abilities: As always, his mastery of magnetism gives him a number of abilities which opponents have trouble circumventing.
- Arch-Enemy: To the Professor X and his X-Men, as per usual.
- Badass Cape: Magneto wears an imposing purple cape, just like most versions.
- Big Bad: As with most versions, Magneto is the chief antagonist of the X-Men in the series.
- Blank White Eyes: Magneto sometimes has these whenever he is using his powers.
- Broken Pedestal: After the plot in the finale, which resulted in mutants being attacked just to lure more to his cause, all of Genosha lost respect for him, and his daughters proceed to disown him, overthrow him, and toss him out.
- The Chessmaster: As with most versions.
- Cool Helmet: As per usual, He wears one that protects him from psychic intrusions.
- Comic-Book Fantasy Casting: Tom Kane is very much channeling Ian McKellen's portrayal of the character from the X-Men Film Series.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: He delivered one to the X-Men in "Hindsight: Part 3".
- Dark Messiah: As per usual, Magneto will use any means necessary to bring mutants back into dominance.
- Disproportionate Retribution: A Papa Wolf mode Magneto has thrown people in jail for simply kissing his youngest daughter Polaris
- Enemy Mine: He and Senator Kelly had a deal in which the MRD would deport all their captives to Genosha. The deal ended when Magneto learned that Kelly was secretly keeping the most powerful mutants under lock and key.
- Evil Former Friend: As per usual, he serves the role as this to Professor X.
- Evil Genius: He is amongst the most intelligent characters on the show.
- Evil Plan: His methods to prevent mutant genocide in this series are very extreme, especially to the humans.
- Flight: One of the abilities that he has due to his Magnetism powers.
- Friendly Rivalry: With Professor X, as with most versions.
- Glowing Eyes of Doom: His eyes sometimes have a white glow whenever he uses his powers.
- He Who Fights Monsters: In the approaching conflict with the anti-mutant faction in America, when warned that the war would lead to a Bad Future where civilization is destroyed by the Phoenix Force and the Sentinels reign supreme with humans and mutants alike trampled underfoot, Magneto crossed the line by using Sentinels to attack Genosha to provoke the war, feeling it would be best if he controlled both sides, even though he killed numerous innocent mutants in the process.
- Humans Are Bastards: This is his view of humans after the hand he was dealt (it was the Holocaust, after all) and seeing a similar hand being dealt to other mutants around the world.
- I Believe I Can Fly: As mentioned above, Magneto is able to fly thanks to his Magnetism powers.
- Imagination-Based Superpower: Magnetism is capable of anything in his hands.
- Immune to Mind Control: He has a special helmet that prevents him from being mind-controlled. A most useful tool when his arch nemesis (Professor X) is one of the most accomplished psychics in the world.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Even if his methods reach far into the depths of villainy, Magneto desires nothing but a world where mutants are free from the hand of racism dealt by man and he had a loving relationship with his daughters Scarlet Witch and Polaris before his the full length of his evil was revealed.
- Knight Templar: In order to let mutants roam free, he plans to have millions of mutants and humans alike killed.
- Magnetism Manipulation: Just like his comic book counterpart and most versions, this is Magneto's main mutant power. In the show, he has an application for manipulating metals like molding them and moving them about or punting them as projectiles, but he can do other things with it like Flight (via repulsing Earth's magnetic pull), make Force Fields, and Telepathy resistance.
- Manipulative Bastard: As per usual, Magneto always tends to plan before he goes into a fight, and even when surprised, he adapts pretty quickly.
- Never My Fault: Magneto refuses to assume that his actions may have harmed more of his fellow mutants and hurt the cause of mutant rights more than they have ever helped; he only pins the blame for that on humanity.
- Not Even Bothering with the Accent: As with the other adaptations, Magneto lacks any sort of European accent here. Although, Tom Kane sounded like he was trying to pull off an English accent, if anything.
- Not Quite Flight: Controlling magnetic lines of force enables him to levitate.
- Papa Wolf: He does not take Senator Kelly's hiring of Gambit to attack Genosha lightly, mainly due to the fact that it was an attack on the island where his family members (Scarlet Witch and Polaris) and a large amount of mutants were living on.
- Related in the Adaptation: While Chuck Austen's run had revealed that Polaris was biologically his daughter, the series implies he actually raised her in this universe.
- The Rival: To Charles Xavier, as always. It is a result of their differing views on whether mutantkind and man can live in peace or not.
- Visionary Villain: No matter how vile they may be, his every act is a stone in the foundations of a world where mutants do not live in fear of homo-sapien oppression.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: It’s not to the extent of his comic book counterpart and most versions, but Magneto still counts as this. He has committed a lot of atrocities, but they're driven to protect his loved ones and his fellow mutants from harm.
- We Used to Be Friends: As per usual, Magneto and Professor X were initially best friends until they broke off due to their different opinions (Erik believed they are with mutants poised to become the dominant force while Charles believed that mutants and humanity are not enemies). As of now, they are currently friendly rivals and enemies.
Scarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff)

First appearance: "Greetings from Genosha"
Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch, is the sister of Quicksilver and daughter of Magneto. Her brother is often jealous of her relationship with their father Magneto - as she is obviously the favored among the two. Scarlet Witch is a mutant who possesses "hex bolts," which give her the ability to affect probability fields to cause unlikely events to occur, and can make objects spontaneously burst into flames, rust or decay.
- Adaptational Villainy: Much like her Ultimate Marvel incarnation, this Scarlet Witch is willingly working with Magneto. Though her interactions with Nightcrawler and Magneto's actions in the finale trigger a Heel Realization and Calling the Old Man Out.
- Badass Cape: Scarlet Witch wears a nice dark red cape as a part of her costume.
- Beast and Beauty: She is the beauty while Nightcrawler (Kurt) is the beast.
- Beta Couple: Scarlet Witch briefly had this type of relationship with Nightcrawler in the episode "Greetings from Genosha" when they teamed up to fight against Fever Patch.
- She was in this relationship with Nightcrawler again in the episode "Hunting Grounds" when they were both captured by Mojo and placed on his hunting tv show, which forced them to join in order to survive the challenges presented on the show along with the fights that they had with Mojo's henchmen and a mind-controlled Wolverine.
- Big Sister Instinct: She was already suspicious of Gambit but becomes even more hostile when he starts taking advantage of Polaris' feelings for him.
- Calling the Old Man Out: She does this to her father after he decided to begin the very war that Xavier warned him about and ended up nearly triggering the end of the world.
- Composite Character: Of herself. She is essentially her Earth-616 counterpart with the Ultimate Marvel incarnation's relation and willingness to work with Magneto.
- The Dragon: She (along with Quicksilver and to a lesser extent Polaris) serves the role as this to Magneto.
- Hand Blast: She has the ability to project "hex bolts" that affect probability fields to cause unlikely events to occur and can make objects spontaneously burst into flames, rust or decay.
- Heel Realization: Between her interactions with Kurt and Erik's actions in the finale, she realizes how horrible her father is.
- Hot Witch: As with most versions, Scarlet Witch is a very beautiful woman who has brown hair and mutant powers that allow for her to tap into magic.
- Iconic Item: She retains her iconic tiara as a part of her costume.
- Lady of Black Magic: Just like her comic book counterpart and most versions, Scarlet Witch wears an elegant red costume (along with beautiful red dress in an episode) and has mutant powers that use chaos magic.
- Mad Scientist's Beautiful Daughter: As in the comics, she (along with Polaris) is the beautiful daughter of Magneto, who is a skilled scientist in addition to being a powerful mutant.
- Most Common Super Power: Just like her comic book counterpart, she has a very impressive bust.
- Ms. Fanservice: Scarlet Witch is a very beautiful brunette who wears a skin-tight costume that has a corset and highlights her voluptuous body and buxom breasts.
- Mutant: Just like in the comics and other animated adaptations, she is a mutant with the ability to project "hex bolts" that give her the ability to affect probability fields to cause unlikely events to occur and can make objects spontaneously burst into flames, rust or decay.
- My Sister Is Off-Limits: She does this to Gambit when she finds out Polaris kissed him. She even throws him in prison.
- Not Even Bothering with the Accent: Scarlet Witch lacks her Eastern European accent from the comics due to the fact that she was raised by Magneto in the show.
- Pet the Dog: After she takes over as the leader of Genosha and banishes her father for betraying his people, Wanda tells Pietro he is always welcome to return.
- Ship Tease: With Nightcrawler.
- Team Member in the Adaptation: Her comic counterpart was never a member of the Acolytes, already having been in the Avengers for years.
- Truer to the Text: This Scarlet Witch is much more faithful to her comic book counterpart compared to the Evolution version via retaining her comic self's design, powers, and personality.
- Winds of Destiny, Change!: Much like the comics and several animated versions (including the Trope Namer), her powers include probability manipulation.
Polaris
Polaris (Lorna Dane)
Voiced by: Liza del Mundo Foreign VAs
First appearance: "Battle Lines"
Lorna Dane, also known as Polaris, is Magneto's overprotected daughter and the younger half-sibling of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. She is a mutant who has the power to control magnetism and can shape and manipulate magnetic fields that exist naturally or artificially. With this ability, most metals come under her control.
- Achilles in His Tent: Future Polaris is this considering she's even more powerful than Magneto in the future and could easily turn the tables on the Sentinels, but is so mentally broken by her losses she refuses to fight even when the world and fellow mutants are being brutally subjugated by Master Mold.
- Adaptation Personality Change: Lorna's comic incarnation has never had any desire to join or work with her father, outside of one period where she was horrifically traumatized. Also, this Lorna is also a timid shut-in.
- Break the Cutie: In the apocalyptic future, she saw her father, all her friends, her home, and her father's very dream wiped out in a sea of fire, and the last thing she saw was when her dad gave her his helmet and cape and dropped her down a shaft to shelter before the flames incinerated him.
- Broken Bird: In the Bad Future.
- Calling the Old Man Out: Joins Scarlet Witch in tossing Magneto out of Genosha after his actions in the finale.
- Curtains Match the Window: She has green eyes and hair. Not to mention she wears green lipstick and a green costume.
- Deus Exit Machina: Future!Polaris traveling with Bishop and Xavier's group of mutants would have reduced the Sentinels from major threats to cannon fodder due to her magnetism powers, so she has to stay behind in the same episode she was introduced. Justified due to her being a total Broken Bird who is so mentally scarred she can't bring herself to actively fight Master Mold, and she's too powerful for the "Future X-men" to seriously consider dragging her along by force.
- Go Mad from the Apocalypse: When the Phoenix destroys the entire world, Polaris stays in the ruins of Genosha and is reduced to an emotional wreck.
- I Believe I Can Fly: With electromagnetism.
- Mad Scientist's Beautiful Daughter: Just like her comic book counterpart, Polaris (along with Scarlet Witch) is the beautiful daughter of Magneto, who is a skilled scientist in addition to being a powerful mutant.
- Magnetism Manipulation: She has magnetic powers similar to Magneto's, who was later revealed to be her biological father. She can sense and control magnetism, create magnetic energy pulses and magnetic force fields, and manipulate the Earth's magnetic field in order to fly.
- Promoted to Love Interest: She never had a relationship with Gambit in the comics.
- Rebellious Princess: In contrast to her comic book counterpart.
- Related in the Adaptation: While Lorna being Erik's daughter (and by extension, before AXIS, Wanda and Pietro's sister) was canon for a few years by this point, the show implies Magneto raised her.
- Silk Hiding Steel: Despite her gentle personality, Lorna has all the power of her father and will unleash it if angered, as Gambit learned. Her Bad Future counterpart is one of the strongest mutants still alive and ruthlessly efficient in destroying Sentinels.
- Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: In the Bad Future, Polaris is freakishly powerful, but also haunted by the deaths of her family.
Mystique
Mystique (Raven Darkholme)

As Magneto's number one operative, Raven Darkholme, also known as Mystique, is a committed champion of the mutant cause. She fervently believes in Magneto's vision for the future, for she too has witnessed the dark side of humanity and how it deals with those who are different. Mystique is a mutant shapeshifter who can make herself look like any human, humanoid, or semi-humanoid being, male or female, copying every detail including retina, fingerprints, and voice pattern.
- Actor Allusion: Hmmm, Tamara Bernier voices a shape-shifting villainess who's secretly in love with the show's male protagonist. Or at least the man he used to be.
- Amazing Technicolor Population: As with most versions, Mystique has blue colored skin.
- Composite Character: She's fused with Silver Fox as Wolverine's old lover from before he got the Adamantium.
- Dark Action Girl: Though her powers don't offer any real advantage in a fight, she's a skilled martial artist.
- The Dragon: She serves the role of Magneto's number one operative.
- Femme Fatale Spy: She is not above playing this role. Being a shapeshifter helps.
- First Love: She was Wolverine's first love back when he worked for Weapon X.
- Gender Bender: While she's normally a woman, she can shapeshift into a man at will.
- Kick Chick: Mystique has an abundance of martial arts skill, but great emphasis is put on the many ways she can contort herself just to plant a foot in an enemy's face.
- Love Interest: The first one to Wolverine.
- Magic Pants: Inverted. She shape-shifts fully clothed, and it appears that she doesn't wear actual clothes, but shapeshifts them.
- Most Common Super Power: She has a large bust.
- Ms. Fanservice: As always, she is a beautiful, blue-skinned mutant woman who wears a very form-fitting outfit that highlights her athletically toned figure, buxom breasts, toned stomach, and toned broad shoulders.
- Monochromatic Eyes: Just like in the comics and most versions, Mystique has yellow colored eyes that lack pupils.
- Shapeshifting: Her mutant power.
- Statuesque Stunner: She is shown to be tall in height.
- Supernatural Gold Eyes: Mystique has yellow colored eyes, as with most versions of the character.
- Team Member in the Adaptation: She was never a member of the Acolytes in the comics.
- Voluntary Shapeshifting: Mystique's mutant ability to shape-shift allows her to morph into anyone.
Scanner
Scanner (Sarah Ryall)
First appearance: "Greetings from Genosha"
Sarah Ryall, also known as Scanner, is a mutant of Genosha who is shown to be a loyal Acolyte of Magneto. She has the ability to remotely project the images of others.
- Astral Projection: Her mutant ability is to perform a version of this that can be seen by even non-telepaths.
- The Cameo: She has some very brief appearances in the series.
- Mutant: She is one that has the ability to remotely project the images of others.
Mellencamp
Mellencamp (Seamus Mellencamp)
First appearance: "Greetings from Genosha"
Mellencamp is a mutant who is one of Magneto's Acolyte in Genosha. He follows Magneto's order such as sending some mutants to prison. He works commonly alongside with Senyaka, Mercury, and Scarlet Witch as shown in the series. Mellencamp has the abilities of Razor-sharp claws and fangs, superhuman senses, strength, speed, agility, reflexes, coordination, endurance, invulnerability, and resistant to life draining.
- Amazing Technicolor Population: He has dark green colored skin.
- Blessed with Suck: Mellencamp's physical powers made him one of the strongest Acolytes, but they also cursed him with a truly monstrous appearance, severely hindering his ability to live a normal life.
- Combo Platter Powers: His mutation gives him Nigh-Invulnerability, Super-Senses, Super-Strength, Wolverine Claws (animal variant) and possibly a Healing Factor.
- Healing Factor: He probably has this.
- Humanoid Abomination: Spiky, dark green skin, and a hideous reptilian face.
- Mutant: He is one with the abilities of Razor-sharp claws and fangs, superhuman senses, strength, speed, agility, reflexes, coordination, endurance, invulnerability, and resistant to life draining.
- Reptiles Are Abhorrent: His appearance is distinctly reptilian, with scaly green skin and yellow eyes.
- Supernatural Gold Eyes: He has yellow eyes.
Senyaka
Senyaka (Suvik Senyaka)
First appearance: "Greetings from Genosha"
Senyaka is a mutant who is one of the many Acolytes of Magneto. In "Battle Lines," He and Pyro attack MRD Facility Beta in the Northwest to break out the mutants imprisoned there. He later battles Gambit in "Aces & Eights". Senyaka has the ability to create life-force draining fire and energy whips.
- Playing with Fire: He has the ability to create fire that drains life-force.
- Mutant: He is one with the ability to create life-force draining fire and energy whips.
- Whip of Dominance: Suvik is often the most hateful and sadistic of Magneto's Acolytes, and his mutant power gives him psionic energy whips that can sap the life of those struck by him, something he delights in doing, especially when his victims are humans.
- Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: He is shown to have sneaky, yellow-colored eyes through his costume.
Kleinstock Brothers
Kleinstock Brothers
First appearance: "Battle Lines"
The Kleinstock Brothers are mutant triplets who are part of Magneto's Acolytes and are shown breaking mutants out of Mutant Response Division Facility Delta in the south. The three brothers' names are Harlan, Sven and Eric and they have the abilities of projecting energy in order to merge into a giant with the abilities of Superhuman size, strength, speed, stamina, and sturdiness.
- Bash Brothers: All three of them.
- Fusion Dance: Their mutant ability allows the trio of Kleinstocks to combine into a single being.
- Giant Mook: They turn into one in their combined form.
- Lighter and Softer: They are distinctly less evil than they ever were in the comics.
- Mutant: They are each one with the abilities to project energy in order to merge into a giant with the abilities of Superhuman size, strength, speed, stamina, and sturdiness.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: An ability only seen used by the fused Kleinstocks.
- Spared by the Adaptation: In the comics, Harlan and Sven are the only serving Kelinstocks due to the fact that their brother Eric was killed. In this show, Eric is still alive and the Kleinstock Brothers are still triplets.
- Super-Strength: Also only seen used by the fused Kleinstocks.
Pyro
Pyro (St. John Allerdyce)
Voiced by: Nolan North
First appearance: "Hindsight, Part 1"
John Allerdyce, also known as Pyro, is a mutant who was a captive of the Mutant Response Division. He and other captives were freed by Wolverine. Pyro later joined Magneto's Acolytes and he went to live in Genosha. Pyro has the ability to manipulate fire and uses a kerosene-based flame-thrower that could project a stream of flame.
- Deadpan Snarker: Pyro always has a quip on hand.
- Elemental Hair Colors: Though he is naturally a blonde, Pyro has been known to pull this using his powers and his hair is spiky red by default.
- Elemental Powers: His mutant abilities; namely, those of fire. In an interesting twist, Pyro can't actually make fire, only manipulate it.
- Land Down Under: Along with Avalanche, he is an evil mutant from a non-American country, Australia in his case.
- Mutant: He has the ability to manipulate fire.
- Playing with Fire: As with prior Pyros, he can control fire and make it do whatever he wants.
- Punch-Clock Villain: When chasing Nightcrawler for Magneto, Pyro says it's nothing personal.
- Put on a Bus: Stopped appearing after "Hunting Grounds" because Magneto placed him in Nightcrawler's cell.
- Team Member in the Adaptation: Much like in X-Men: Evolution this Pyro is an Acolyte instead of a member of the Brotherhood.
Blink
Blink (Clarice Ferguson)
First appearance: "Battle Lines"
Clarice Ferguson, also known as Blink, is a mutant who is one of Magneto's Acolytes as his personal assistant on Genosha. She has the ability to project energy shards that teleport people or objects.
- Adaptational Villainy: In the comics, Blink was associated with Generation X and a member of the New Mutants. Her better-known alternate version rose from Age of Apocalypse mainstay to leader and main hero of the Exiles. In the show, she's a member of Magneto's Acolytes.
- Amazing Technicolor Population: She has lavender skin.
- Monochromatic Eyes: Just like her comic book counterpart, Blink has pupil-less eyes that are completely white.
- Teleporters and Transporters: She can project energy shards that teleport herself, people and/or objects to other locations.
- Team Member in the Adaptation: In part due to her Adaptational Villainy, she's part of the Acolytes.
Mercury
Mercury (Cessily Kincaid)
First appearance: "Greetings from Genosha"
Messily Kincaid, also known as Mercury, is a mutant who served under Magneto as a member of his Acolytes on Genosha. Her skin is made out of mercury and she can reshape and stretch at will.
- Adaptational Villainy: Mercury was a member of the New X-Men in the comics. In the show, she is a member of Magneto's Acolytes.
- Amazing Technicolor Population: She has grey colored skin that is made out of mercury.
- The Cameo: She makes a few of these throughout the series.
- Monochromatic Eyes: Her eyes are completely white and lack pupils.
- Team Member in the Adaptation: Her comic counterpart was a member of the New X-Men.
Juggernaut
Juggernaut (Cain Marko)

First appearance: "Battle Lines"
Cain Marko, also known as Juggernaut, is the step-brother of Charles Xavier and serves under Magneto as a member of his Acolytes. Juggernaut possesses the Gem of the mystical entity Cyttorak, which grants him with the abilities of superhuman strength, speed, and durability.
- The Brute: Based on his powers, he most certainly serves this role as this to the Acolytes.
- Cain and Abel: With Professor X.
- Cool Helmet: Like Magneto, Juggernaut has a helmet that protects him from Psychic Powers, which is very handy when your stepbrother is the world's strongest telepath.
- Attack Its Weak Point: This has led to a fight with Juggernaut that consists of the X-Men trying to get his helmet off.
- The Dreaded: As per usual.
- Demoted to Extra: He's not very prominent in the show compared to most versions, as he only appeared twice in the entire series. He doesn't even get to say a word.
- Implacable Man: As always, he's unstoppable.
- Immune to Mind Control: Whenever he's wearing his helmet, at least.
- The Juggernaut: As per usual, he is the Trope Namer and literally unstoppable.
- Monochromatic Eyes: He is shown to have these through the helmet on his costume.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Juggernaut is totally indestructible.
- Out of Focus: Unlike most versions, Juggernaut is not very important in this adaptation.
- Super-Speed: Juggernaut's hyper-strong muscles officially allow him to run at top speeds of 110 miles per hour.
- Super-Strength: With it he has immense strength that far exceeds the ability to lift 100 tons effortlessly. Due to the mystical nature of his powers, Juggernaut can increase his physical strength to immeasurable levels with a simple thought when he needs it.
- Team Member in the Adaptation: Among his various affiliations in the comics, the Acolytes wasn't among them.
