A mysterious albino student who loves to see someone suffer by her own hands.
  • Albinos Are Freaks: Many of the others bully her for being albino (not that she minds all that much) and she mentions that others tend to treat her differently. She does note that older people treat her kindly since they think she's special.
  • Big Bad: She is the closest thing to a central antagonist that Have No Wings has.
  • Control Freak: She likes having absolute control over the people closest to her. She'll either manipulate people under her thumb or take that control by force. Anyone trying to go against her directly will earn her ire and will be punished. Yoonseo and Sohwa learned that the hard way.
  • Eating the Eye Candy: She never misses an opportunity to eye up pretty girls.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: After leaving juvie, she continued to be the same sadistic womanizer, but when Yeonyoung decided to take her in, she Took a Level in Kindness which coincided with her cutting her hair short.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She still has a good relationship with her grandparents even after going to juvie. And she genuinely loved Yoenyoung in a healthier way than with Ayeon, Sohwa, and eventually Dahye.
  • Evil Cripple: Downplayed. While otherwise physically capable, her albinism leaves her partially blind and sensitive to sunlight.
  • Ex-Big Bad: In Get No Rest. She isn't the one to incite the conflict this time around.
  • Face of an Angel, Mind of a Demon: She has been compared to an angel, but she is far from it.
  • Faux Affably Evil: She almost always hides her cruelty under a smug, friendly exterior.
  • The Gadfly: She enjoys getting reactions out of people and stirring stuff up.
  • Handicapped Badass: She has partial blindness, but she is abnormally strong and good at fighting.
  • Ignored Epiphany: In the second series. Even after everything implodes catastrophically and it seems that she's starting to realize what she is. She even seems to miss Yeonyoung. However, she shrugs it off and goes back into the night to go back to finding new toys to play with.
  • It Amused Me: Her reason for doing most things.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: She realizes that she's only doing more harm to Dahye by being with her, so she tries to let her down gently after having sex with her one last time.
  • Lack of Empathy: She doesn't see people as people and only views them as her playthings. She seems completely confused as to why Sohwa didn't like being her doll and treats it like she was just playing around. This is downplayed in Get No Rest, but it is clear that she still has some trouble fully empathizing with people.
  • Lean and Mean: She is noted to be particularly frail, and she is noticeably skinnier than most characters. While she has toned down the "mean" part in Get No Rest, seeing her naked shows how gaunt she is since her ribs are often visible. Her grandmother comments on this when she visits again.
  • Manipulative Bitch: One of her hobbies is messing with people, and she is scarily good at it. She treats people like pawns to either get what she wants or get a rise out of people.
  • Mask of Sanity: A pretty convincing one at that. Not many people know the amount of depravity that lies underneath it. Sohwa was taken aback at just how disgusting her sister was.
  • Meaningful Name: "Baek" is also the Korean for the colour white.
  • Might as Well Not Be in Prison at All: In the epilogue chapter. Despite being locked up in juvie, it isn't as bad since she seems to have throngs of girls fawning over her.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: She doesn't know how to keep her hands to herself. It is one of her main methods of manipulation to make Dahye uncomfortable: lots of groping and Lecherous Licking.
  • Obliviously Evil: While it is implied in Have No Wings since she didn't know why Sohwa would reject her advances, that series also noted that she was a genuine sadist. However, Get No Rest solidifies the idea that all the torture and rough treatment is how she views love. She does know that not everyone can handle it, but she just thinks that she hasn't found someone who will go along with it. This is why she reacts badly to Dahye saying that her treatment is why everyone she loved left her and that Yeonyoung would do the same if she saw what she was doing.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Whenever she isn't playfully acting like she's calm and in control, it's a sign that something is up. Finding her long-lost sister incites this reaction and everyone wonders what's up with her.
  • Opportunistic Bitch: She seems to have certain things planned in advance, but she also incorporates new elements into her plans when presented with them.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: While she claims that her punishment of Dahye is for what she does to Ayeon, Yeonhwa does not have fully altruistic motives behind her actions. She does it partially for sadism and partially to get Ayeon to be her girlfriend.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: After driving Sohwa away, Yeonhwa is very careful in how she approaches Ayeon to seduce her.
  • Psycho Lesbian: She uses blackmail to sexually harass Yang Dahye. She also abused her sister, Sohwa. It turns out that she is sexually sadistic and many of her relationships ended with her driving them away.
  • Retired Monster: After leaving juvie, she seems to make a turn for the better. It turns out she had been going from girl to girl doing the same until Yeonyoung found her again. Dahye brings her out of retirement.
  • Sadist: She gets off on causing other people pain and watching others suffer. Sohwa states it outright and was one of the victims of Yeonhwa. Dahye awakens these tendencies after they laid dormant after so long.
  • The Sociopath: Played with. She is very manipulative and enjoys watching others suffer. She treats those around her like playthings and possesses very little empathy for others — even those she claims she loves. Her sister was treated more like a doll rather than a person. She seems to get better in Get No Rest, but she falls back into her old habits soon enough.
  • Straight Edge Evil: She isn't a big fan of smoking and forces Dahye to quit when the smell gets on Ayeon.
  • Stronger Than They Look: While everyone assumes she is frail and sickly, she is surprisingly strong and is seen working out in her spare time. She's strong enough to pull the lockers down in the abandoned building to rescue Yoonseo, stop Dahye, and beat up her cohorts with incredible speed and agility. One of the bullies calls her a street fighter.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: It seems like this after leaving juvie and settling down with Yeonyoung, she decides to do better. It doesn't last too long after Dahye decides to meddle.
  • The Unapologetic: She is never truly sorry for anything she does. Even if she seems to understand her wrongdoings and wants to rebuild bridges with someone in a genuine attempt, she can't say she's sorry since she knows it won't change anything. This is what infuriates Dahye in the final act of Get No Rest since she just wants Yeonhwa to apologize so they can move on, something that Yeonhwa will not do.
  • Villainous Breakdown: After she finds Sohwa, she starts to lose her grip on being the charismatic manipulator she had been throughout the series. When Ayeon starts to question her about her sister, she loses her cool. After the breakup, Dahye hands her Sohwa on a silver platter and she devolves into a hungry predator who is going to take Sohwa back by force.
  • Wild Card: Yeonhwa is not someone who can be controlled easily. Get No Rest shows that no one knows what she thinks. She tends to be the Spanner in the Works of anyone's plan.

    Yang Dahye

Yang Dahye

Click for her appearance in White Angels Get No Rest
The main bully that hurts Ayeon.
  • Aloof Big Sister: Inverted. She is cold and distant to Minhye when she tries to reach out. This continues into her adulthood since she rarely returns calls or texts.
  • Alpha Bitch: She acts like one. She is the main proponent of bullying Ayeon.
  • Broken Ace: While she is at the top of her class, she has her own share of home issues that stresses her out to the point that she finds bullying to be a decent way to have some control over her own life. And that's before Yeonhwa gets more involved in her life. After that, she is dealing with PTSD from the sexual abuse and it is shown she still has nightmares about it years after.
  • Catchphrase Insult: "Crazy albino bitch" (or some variant thereof) is one she uses often for Yeonhwa. It catches on with Songyi.
  • Cigarette of Anxiety: The reason she picked up smoking was due to the stress of her father's expectations. It's a habit that has continued through adulthood, in no small part due to her PTSD.
  • Defiant Captive: Even as Yeonhwa abuses her, she still insults her and proclaims that she'll kill her. Yeonhwa enjoys it since she thinks "she's 'cute' when she's mad".
  • Didn't Think This Through: Trying to tame Yeonhwa to torment her ends up not working so well in the long run. Especially when Yeonhwa starts showing her sadistic tendencies again.
  • False Friend: She only pretended to be friends with Sohwa to use her as bait to catch Yeonhwa. She later notes how she hated having to be nice to her and was never planning on remaining her friend.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Her bullying tends to have a veneer of politeness to it at first. She tends to frame it as trying to be a friend at first, coercing others to get them to do what she wants.
  • Freudian Excuse: Her controlling father stressing her to live up to her sister leaves her stressed out and looking for some bit of control in her life. While it doesn't excuse her behavior, it does explain it.
  • Functional Addict: Due to her trauma, she ends up being unable to sleep without pills and smokes even more than she did in high school. She still holds down her job, but the unhealthy addictions still weigh on her.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: Some chapters of Get No Rest spell her name "Dahae."
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: Yeonhwa deduces that she has this. When she has Yeonhwa in her clutches to do whatever she wants to her sexually, she can sense that Dahye is just lashing out and not truly cut out for this.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: During the final act of the first series, she is instrumental in making sure Yeonhwa gets what she deserves. She even makes friends with Sohwa to comfort her. However, she simply used Sohwa as bait for Yeonhwa and never wanted to hang out with her at all.
  • Kick the Dog: She has several examples.
    • Tormenting Ayeon even after promising to be friends.
    • Having her gang of bullies torment Yoonseo to get to the blackmail material she has on her.
    • Pretending to be Sohwa's friend only to use her as bait to catch Yeonhwa, something that causes her further trauma. Especially since she knows exactly how it feels to be treated like that.
    • Threatening Yeonyoung's job after splitting up Yeonhwa's relationship with her.
    • Sexually extorting Yeonyoung for no real reason other than opportunity.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: Horrible person that she is, she isn't anywhere near as bad as Yeonwha.
  • Lipstick Lesbian: In Get No Rest, she starts dating women years later and she has a very feminine sense of style.
  • Love Epiphany: The second half of Get No Rest is her getting this for Yeonhwa and trying to make it work in spite of their past and Yeonhwa's... extreme tendencies. It's part of the reason she has trouble killing her even after she imprisoned her in her own home for a whole day.
  • Misplaced Retribution: She targets Yoonseo for what Yeonhwa did simply because it was her phone that held the blackmail material. Even years later, she's still angry at Yoonseo and at Minhye for taking her in.
  • Mugging the Monster: She thought she could sexually control Yeonhwa. It doesn't work out how she thought it would.
  • Pride: She admits that this is what kept her from telling anyone about Yeonhwa until she heard Sohwa's story. Yeonhwa calls her out on it.
  • Sadist: She tends to veil it in a sense of self-righteousness, but she clearly likes bullying Ayeon. Unlike Yeonhwa who does it for fun, Dahye is doing it to gain some sense of control over her life since she feels she has none elsewhere. She uses this to work through her trauma by using Soobin as a stand-in for Yeonhwa to take out her frustrations without Soobin knowing.
  • Schoolyard Bully All Grown Up: Coming across Yeonhwa again makes her revert back to her old bullying tendencies to get back at Yeonhwa.
  • Sexual Extortion: She does this to Yeonhwa to keep Yeonyoung from getting fired. She later does the same to Yeonyoung directly.
  • Stockholm Syndrome: She forms a dynamic like this with Yeonhwa. After being abused by her, she forms an obsession with her that she later interprets as love.
  • Successful Sibling Syndrome: Everyone thinks Dahye is an only child because she never brings up her sister. Dahye is the top student in her class but she feels like she will never be able to live up to her parent's expectations and she lives in her sister's shadow forever. Her father comparing her to Minhye definitely does not help matters.
  • Troubled Abuser: While she bullies Ayeon and has a rather prickly personality, her home life drives her to a point where she just wants to have some control of something in her life. This is more pronounced in her adulthood since she's still dealing with PTSD from the sexual abuse.
  • Villain Protagonist: While not nearly as reprehensible as Yeonhwa, she is still a rather nasty piece of work in her own right. She just happens to also be one of the central characters.
  • We Used to Be Friends: She pretended to be Ayeon's friend, but she bullies her in the present.
  • Why Can't I Hate You?: Dahye takes so long to kill Yeonhwa and the latter wonders why she doesn't just go through with it already. By this point, Dahye realizes that she still kind of loves Yeonwha. She just wants her to apologize for what she did, but Yeonwha refuses to do that. However, she still can't bring herself to kill her.

    Yang Minhye

Yang Minhye

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yang_minhye.png
Click for her appearance in White Angels Get No Rest
Dahye's older sister.
  • Ambiguously Gay: While it can be assumed that she is considering the nature of the second series and the fact that Yoonseo is a lesbian, Minhye's relationship with Yoonseo is never fully elaborated upon whether or not it is romantic. They are extremely close, but it isn't outright seen as romantic by the narrative. The main reason it is seen this way is because of Chief Lee, who is clearly biased.
  • Big Sister Instinct: As soon as she finds out that Yeonhwa has been sexually harassing and blackmailing Dahye, she takes the first chance she can to confront her about it. She also has this instinct when she finds out that Yeonhwa might be coming back into her life.
  • Broken Pedestal: Learning what her sister was really like made her think twice about her. She still loves her, but it does taint their relationship.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: Takes every opportunity to do this whenever he starts badgering Dahye about her grades. She continues to do this after Dahye is working at his company.
  • Cool Big Sis: She does everything she can to help Dahye with Yeonhwa. Even Dahye's friends call her "unnie" or big sister.
  • Deuteragonist: With her sister Dahye since she is also involved in the conflict with Yeonhwa.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: She wore her hair longer before going on her own to be out of the pressure of her father. Now, she wears her hair shorter.
  • It's All My Fault: She feels responsible for leaving Dahye alone to deal with the stress of living up to her, which ended up letting her turn to bullying. She wants to do everything she can to make it up to her and to stop her from going down this path. She feels it even more when she realizes the lengths Dahye is willing to go to stop Yeonhwa.
  • Must Make Amends:
    • Her reason for coming back was to repair her relationship with Dahye after leaving for college. She felt like she left her on her own without help, so she's trying to be better now.
    • Lee says this is why she's still with Yeonsoo after all these years. She feels responsible for letting Dahye bully her, so she wants to make up for not stopping her sooner.
  • Rape as Drama: She gets sexually assaulted by Lee.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: When she had longer hair in the past, she looked like an older Dahye.
  • Thicker Than Water: She still tries to help Dahye even after seeing the blackmail videos. And she goes to great lengths to help her get back at Yeonhwa, even if it means taking advantage of Yoonseo. Yeonhwa points it out by name.
  • Unwitting Pawn: To Yeonhwa. She manages to use her to find out good ways to torment Dahye without her knowing. Even after Minhye realizes this, Yeonhwa still manages to use her desire to mend the broken relationship between her and Dahye to drive a further wedge between it.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She calls out Dahye's plan to get Yeonhwa arrested since it involved lying to Sohwa and using her as bait, further traumatizing her. She outright calls her trash.
  • Was It All a Lie?: After discovering that Lee had been working with Yeonhwa to trick her into seducing her, Minhye has this reaction.

    Heo Yoonseo

Heo Yoonseo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/heo_yoonseo.jpg
Click for her appearance in White Angels Get No Rest
A shy girl who hangs out with Yeonhwa.
  • Demoted to Extra: In Get No Rest. She is not really important outside of being with Minhye.
  • Desperately Craves Affection: She is extremely dependent on anyone who gives her the slightest bit of affection, to the point of turning them into a Living Emotional Crutch. This is why she puts up with Yeonhwa's abuse and reacts negatively to the neglect. She is the only one who treated her nicely at the start. Even when she realizes that Minhye is only being her friend to help Dahye, she doesn't care and still wants the affection even if it's fake.
Dahye: You don't care as long as you have someone to lean on.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Get No Rest shows that she is happy and healthy with Minhye after all that happened to her.
  • Former Friend of Alpha Bitch: Dahye was told to be friends with her. She pretended to be friendly, but Yoonseo was quickly dropped at the soonest convenience.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: When Yeonhwa finds some new toys to play with, she's very possessive and upset that she isn't paying as much attention to her. She starts being very jealous of Ayeon when she joins their friend group and Dahye when Yeonhwa takes her to the abandoned locker building since it was their special place. Breaking up her and Ayeon is one major motivator for helping Dahye by proxy through Minhye.
  • Happiness in Slavery: While Yeonhwa openly says Yoonseo is her property, she is still desperate to gain her affection and endures the abuse and neglect in the hopes that Yeonhwa will love her.
  • Introverted Cat Person: She got a pet cat after moving in with Minhye, and the cat keeps her company when Minhye is on business trips.
  • Selective Obliviousness: Even when Yeonhwa spells out that she's just property to her, Yoonseo still believes that she might have some chance of her getting love back. Deep down, however, she seems aware that it's a hopeless dream.
  • Shrinking Violet: She is incredibly soft-spoken and not very willing to speak her mind. One thing that makes it easy for Yeonhwa to control her.
  • Took a Level in Cheerfulness: In Get No Rest. While she still gets nervous and anxious, she is notably less morose and smiles more often in a genuine way. She is truly happy for once in her life.

Characters only in White Angels Have No Wings

    Song Ayeon

Song Ayeon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/song_ayeon_2.jpg
A girl who is getting bullied and is the object of Yeonhwa's desire.
  • D-Cup Distress: Her large breasts are one of the things that lead to her getting ridicule.
  • Decoy Protagonist: Downplayed. She features heavily on the cover arts of Have No Wings and is focused on in the first few chapters. However, while she is a major character, the central conflict mostly involves how Yeonhwa interacts with Dahye. Dahye herself is closer to a protagonist than Ayeon is since her character arc gets more attention. The cinching factor is that does not appear in Get No Rest.
  • Extreme Doormat: She doesn't like to stand up to her bullies and often allows the abuse that happens to her. Yeonhwa helps her grow out of this. Something that backfires on her when she gets wind of her true nature from Dahye.
  • Former Friend of Alpha Bitch: She used to be Dahye's friend through their parents, but she ended up bullying her after she caught her smoking with Songyi and her friends.
  • Incredibly Obvious Tail: Yeonhwa calls her and Yoonseo out on being very easy to spot while following her, not even changing out of their uniforms.
  • Nice Girl: One of the most kind-hearted characters in the series.
  • Official Couple: Yeonhwa eventually starts dating her. After the whole debacle, she starts dating Sohwa in the epilogue.
  • Only Sane Man: Compared to the rest of the cast in the first story, she's the only one that doesn't have some kind of personal or mental issue. Other than dealing with bullying, she is rather normal and reasonable.
  • Token Religious Teammate: Despite being set in a Catholic school, it is mentioned that few of the students who attend are actually Catholic. Dahye says that Ayeon is one of those who are devout and is the only one in the main cast.

    Lee Songyi

Lee Songyi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lee_songyi.jpg
A persistent bully who Dahye hangs out with often.
  • Backstabbing the Alpha Bitch: Once Dahye becomes more distant and acting strangely due to Yeonhwa's influence, she shuns her out of the friend group when she finally decides to come back, thinking that she has betrayed them. She changes course when she finds out about the blackmail.
  • Beta Bitch: Dahye's second in command once she joins the friend group. While Songyi would still be a bully without Dahye, Dahye helps her to pick her battles.
  • Enemy Mine: She doesn't like Sohwa for stealing from her, but she still helps her hide from Yeonhwa since she knows she's crazy.
Songyi: Consider yourself lucky. I'm only going easy on you because I hate that bitch more than I hate you.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • She stops Dahye from killing Yoonseo in a blind rage.
    • As unpleasant as she is, she draws a line at sexual abuse. This is what causes her to feel sympathy for Sohwa.
  • Jerkass: Unlike Dahye who has a Freudian Excuse for being unpleasant, Songyi is just an asshole with no real reason to be that way. Even when Dahye seems distant when she's being harassed by Yeonhwa, she doesn't even ask if she's okay and just shoos her away for abandoning their group. She had to be pushed into apologizing to let her back in the group.
  • The Napoleon: This describes her quite well. She's the smallest in the grade, gets her kicks from bullying others, and is perpetually grouchy and confrontational. Her height is a major sore spot for her.

    Songyi's friends

Park Gyuri and Kim Seonga

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gyuri_and_seonga.jpg
Two bullies that part of Songyi and Dahye's friend group.
  • No Name Given: Downplayed. For the most part, they are only referred to as the other girls in conjunction with Songyi. Even when their names are given, it is never specified who is who.
  • Satellite Characters: Their interactions are almost entirely revolved around Songyi. Whenever they are mentioned, it is almost always as something to the effect of "Songyi and the other girls".
  • Those Two Guys: They are never seen apart from each other.

    Sohwa (SPOILERS

Baek Sohwa

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sohwa.JPG
Yeonhwa's long-lost sister, who was a victim of her abuse.
  • Broken Pedestal: She used to look up to Yeonhwa and support her since she was isolated due to her albinism. That was before she realized exactly how messed up she was. After the trauma she endured, she could never look at her sister the same way again and has never been able to face her ever since.
  • Official Couple: In the epilogue, she has started a relationship with Ayeon.
  • Rape as Backstory: She was sexually abused by Yeonhwa while being locked up by her for over a week.
  • The Runaway: She left home because of Yeonhwa's abuse.
  • Spiteful Suicide: After the abuse she endured, she would have rather died than be Yeonhwa's slave and attempts to kill herself. Yeonhwa stops her and ties her up again.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: Despite being abused by her, she knows what it was like for Yeonhwa growing up. She was always on her own and wanted to help her. Her sympathy diminished after the incident, but she still remembers what it was like for her growing up.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Dahye pretended to be her friend so she could use her as bait to catch Yeonhwa.
  • Walking Spoiler: Her role in the story reveals a lot about Yeonhwa, and it is instrumental to the final act.
  • You're Insane!: After Sohwa was locked away, tied up, and sexually abused, Yeonhwa tried to write it off as if she was just playing. This causes Sohwa to say that she's completely out of her mind.

Characters in White Angels Get No Rest

Spoilers for Have No Wings will be unmarked here.
    Kim Yeonyoung

Kim Yeonyoung

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kim_yeonyoung_1.png
A girl Yeonhwa met in juvie and starts dating after.
  • Alcoholic Parent: Her father drank so much that he was eventually unable to get up to buy more drinks.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Her father turned to alcoholism, and she got put in juvie for beating him up.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: Downplayed. Her name is spelled "Yeonyoung," "Yeon-young," or "Yeon Young" depending on the chapter.
  • Morality Pet: For Yeonhwa. She incentivizes her to reform and hang up her sadism. When she breaks up with her, Yeonhwa falls back into her old habits. Especially when she realizes that doing what Dahye says won't matter since she'll do what she wants. Subverted when Yeonyoung comes back to her. Yeonhwa still has her manipulative and sadistic behavior.
  • Secret Relationship: She starts one with Yeonhwa after they reunite while Dahye is still dating her.
  • Warts and All: She realized what Yeonhwa did to get sent to juvie, but she doesn't care because she believes that Yeonhwa has changed. Subverted when she sees what Yeonhwa did to Dahye, showing that she really hasn't changed at all. She did not want to end up like Dahye.

    Ahn Soobin

Ahn Soobin/Subin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ahn_soobin.jpg
A girl that Dahye starts having sex with.
  • Am I Just a Toy to You?: After Yeonhwa points out that she was only supposed to be a replacement for her, Soobin doesn't take it well and slaps Dahye for it.
  • Boyish Short Hair: She has short hair and a bit of a rambunctious personality to match.
  • Butch Lesbian: Downplayed. She isn't traditionally butch in a sense, but she leans more on this end of the spectrum compared to someone like Dahye.
  • Can't Hold His Liquor: She turns out to be quite the lightweight compared to Yeonyoung.
  • Inconsistent Spelling: The translation starts by spelling her name "Subin," but later transitions to "Soobin."
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: When Yeonyoung thinks that she might have a chance to patch things up between herself and Yeonhwa, Soobin isn't happy about it since Yeonhwa cheated on her, but won't try to interfere if she thinks it will work out. And she's by her side when Yeonyoung finds out how depraved Yeonhwa is.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Dahye has her wear a white wig so she can pretend she's Yeonhwa and she can take out her frustrations on her. She's not happy about it when she finds out by meeting Yeonhwa naked and tied up in Dahye's apartment.

    Lee Shi-ae

Deputy Manager Lee Shi-ae

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lee_sunbae_1.jpg
An assistant to Minhye who is enamored with her.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: She used to have longer hair before she found out about Yoonseo. And it grows back out once she is cut from Minhye's life.
  • Evil Is Not a Toy: Lee thinks she can use Yeonhwa to get closer to Minhye through Dahye. Yeonhwa eventually proves to be too chaotic to be useful.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: She has a seething hatred for Yoonseo for being with Minhye.
  • Ignored Enamored Underling: She is deeply obsessed with Minhye, but she can't move in because she's with Yoonseo.
  • Karma Houdini: Downplayed. She doesn't get arrested for sexually assaulting Minhye and gets to leave the company on her own terms, but Minhye still hates her guts.
  • Last-Name Basis: She is mainly referred to by her surname "Lee" (either "Chief Lee" or "Deputy Manager Lee") with her given name "Shi-ae" almost never being used. Minhye mainly refers to her as "Sunbae" due to their work relationship.
  • Mask of Sanity: While she is not nearly as bad as Yeonhwa, the effect of her mask is still quite equal. She comes across as a reasonable and responsible assistant, but she's is really a deceitful and envious woman who only stops herself from assaulting Minhye becasue it wouldn't be beneficial to her. The mask sometimes slips when she starts talking about Yoonseo privately with Minhye. She doesn't bother with it anymore when Yeonhwa screws things up for her.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: She bides her time and tries to get Dahye away from Yoonseo before she can make a move. It's one reason why working with Yeonwha isn't as useful to her as she likes. After things take a turn for the worst, she abandons pragmatism and just rapes Minhye.
  • Psycho Lesbian: She isn't as bad as Yeonhwa at first, but she is clearly obsessed with Minhye and incredibly jealous of Yoonseo. When she has lost all other options to get with Minhye and has the opportunity, she rapes her.
  • Villainous Breakdown: When things are going wrong for her, she gives up her plans of manipulation and simply assaults Minhye to get what she wants.
