Representing the schools of the Source, the Colossi are a pantheon of gigantic gods who walk the world of Koldenwelt. The oldest generation of them, known as the Old Colossi, are believed to have participated in the creation of the world, though most of them died during the wars against demonkind. Following the defeat of Caligaduro Provectus at the end of the Adamantine Age, a new generation of gods known as the New Colossi was slowly given existence, replacing the spots left by their deceased predecessors. The Colossi tend to keep to themselves are typically don't involve themselves in mortal affairs, but when the world is threatened by the forces from beyond the Material Plane, they serve as Koldenwelt's last line of defense.

    General Tropes

  • The Ageless: Being among the greatest gods of the Aethereal Firmament, the Colossi are true immortals who may only be destroyed by fantastical means, typically by the hands of Simulacra or other Colossi.
  • Elemental Embodiment: Each Colossus is a god of its respective element/school of the Source. No more than one Colossus of a given element ever exists at a time.
  • Foil: They serve as one to the Simulacra, being Elemental Embodiments who, while not necessarily nice, are majority in favour of Koldenwelt's preservation, while the former are representations of sapient intelligence who are majority antagonistic.
  • Kaiju: The most striking feature of the Colossi is their immense size. No Colossus is smaller than a hundred meters tall/long. Old Colossi, due to having lived for longer, were much larger than their New counterparts.
  • Our Gods Are Different: They rule over the Material plane, with the Old Colossus being implied to have been involved in its creation.
  • Physical God: Each Colossus is a divinity, having full control over their schools of the Source at the same level of power the other planes' Simulacra. They are the greatest gods of the Material Plane, with minor deities being beneath their power.

Pure Magic

The Arcane

    Infinitum

Infinitum, Old Colossus of the Arcane

Species: Arcane Elemental
Alignment: True Neutral

"In the beginning, there was nothing. The Goddess shed one tear, and the Aethereal Lady was born, ordered to make the layout of the world before it was completed by the Great Four Elementals. Once Koldenwelt was whole, the Aethereal Lady sung, and the Source was spread through the world like a wave. The Aethereal Lady continued to sing until she herself became part of what she helped create."

The Old Colossus of the Arcane, Infinitum is believed by certain myths to have been the first Colossus and possibly the first being to inhabit the Aethereal Firmament, created from a tear shed by Isiris for the purpose of aiding in the creation of Koldenwelt. Due to having existed before mortal life, her existence is only known to a handful of other divinities. She is credited as being the creator of the Aether Drakes, the dragons of arcane magic.

  • Anthropomorphic Personification: Infinitum was an Arcane Elemental of divine proportions.
  • Celestial Body: Her body resembled the night sky, with stars shining across its surface and with a pair of particularly bright ones serving as her eyes.
  • Ley Line: She's responsible for their existence in Koldenwelt. After allowing herself to become one with the land, her energies created great magical 'veins' across the world, which were given the name of ley lines by mortals.
  • Posthumous Character: She perished before written history, after allowing herself to be merged into Koldenwelt as the finishing touch of its creation.
  • Pure Magic: As the Arcane Colossus, Infinitum had divine control over the Source at its purest and most primal state.
  • Red Baron: The Source Incarnate, The Mother of Magic, The First Child of Isiris, The Aethereal Lady.

    Sempiternum

Sempiternum, New Colossus of the Arcane

Species: Arcane Elemental
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

"Oh, Great Daughter of Lore, as you watch and peer from your bastion from on high, your lands locked in place and presiding within the sky, you can surely see, with your eyes of three, the suffering and torment of our world... Future, present, and past, from the world's first moments to its very last, within the stars and earth you can read what is written; each and every moment that, by fate, mortalkind shall be bitten... Oh, Great Daughter of Lore... You can surely see such and more..."

The New Colossus of the Arcane, Sempiternum is said to have been born in the first second of the Old Age as the first of a new generation of Colossi. She enlightened a race of primitive Bird People known as the Khuma with vast intelligence and rules over them in the floating magical city of Alkatar.

  • Anthropomorphic Personification: Sempiternum is an Arcane Elemental of divine proportions.
  • The Archmage: She's the Divine Magus of the Magocracy of Alkatar, serving as its highest authority, though she prefers to give the Khuma the chance to make their own decisions.
  • The Ghost: Hasnt' been featured in any stories, despite being part of the lore.
  • Pure Magic: As the Arcane Colossus, Sempiternum has divine control over the Source at its purest and most primal state.
  • Red Baron: Divine Magus of Alkatar, Great Daughter of Lore, The Aethereal Child.

Primary Elemental Magic

Fire

    Venertimanoth

Venertimanoth, Old Colossus of Fire

Species: Primordial Fire Dragon
Alignment: Lawful Good

"At first, there was nothing. And from that nothing was born the flame. And from this flame, the first great dragons of fire came. Bringing warmth upon the cold land, they spread. And leading them was a dragon of great size and heart, and indeed, that first flame still burned deep within his heart."

Among the first dragons of the world, Venertimanoth was the Old Colossus of Fire. A righteous and benevolent being, he fathered the Fire Drake race and defended the world against the forces, though his arch-enemy was a fellow Colossus; Siivhahzin, the god of darkness. Following his death, the divine fire dragon's still-beating heart was hidden at the region known today as the Slumbering Island.

  • Arch-Enemy: He was bitter enemies with Siivhahzin, the Colossus of Darkness, which eventually led to their mutual deaths during their final battle.
  • Dragons Are Divine: He was both a dragon and a god.
  • Giant Flyer: Nearly nine hundred meters long, and with working wings.
  • God of Good: A paragon among the ancient gods, Venertimanoth was one of the most benevolent of all Colossi.
  • Interspecies Romance: It is said he was the consort of Korddraigen, the Old Colossus of Earth.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Venertimanoth was the first Fire Drake, who proceeded to create the rest of the race by manipulating his fire magic.
  • Playing with Fire: Venertimanoth was the first god of fire, and some creation myths mention him being the first flame that has ever existed, who helped forge the world alongside the old gods of water, wind and earth.
  • Posthumous Character: Has been dead for some 26,000 years by the time of the New Age.
  • Red Baron: The First Flame, King of Fire.
  • Volcanic Veins: His body is described as having these, which let out a powerful glow. Given he was the god of fire, it's not surprising to imagine he had magma for blood.

    Vulcardentron

Vulcardentron, New Colossus of Fire

Species: Unique
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

"My great-grandpa saw the Red God once. Can you imagine going off to hunt the day's meal, when the trees are suddenly trampled by a monster large enough to blot out the sun? And then the monster reaches a hand down, grabs a Tyrant King and then bites its head off like it's nothing? We do well by not speaking ill of the Red God, because I'd hate to get on his bad side."

Accidentally created when Vulcaraptor shamans attempted to harness the power of the Heart of Venertimanoth, Vulcardentron is the New Colossus of Fire and the ruler of the southern Slumbering Island. A massive tusked reptile, he periodically leaves his nest in the volcanic south in order to hunt for food, swiping down at the island's dinosaurs and devouring them as if they were insects. Each time he goes to feed, great devastation follows due to his huge size and power over flame.

  • Fangs Are Evil: One of his most distinct features is a pair of massive tusks protruding from his lower jaw. Subverted in that he's not evil, just very territorial.
  • The Ghost: Hasn't been featured in any stories, despite being part of the lore.
  • Playing with Fire: He's the New Colossus of Fire, and has powers befitting one.
  • Red Baron: The Red God, The Slumbering Tyrant.

Water

    Tritonomarth

Tritonomarth, Old Colossus of Water

Species: Khrokar
Alignment: True Neutral

"In the beginning, the world was formless. And at one point, there was water. Growing in it was a being who grew to become the king of all seas and the physical body of the very magic which flowed through said waters. The Old Colossal One was a world of his own right, his size rivaled by none, and his mass so great even giants rested on him and were compared to ticks resting on top of an elephant."

The first god of the seas and the largest of all Colossi, Tritonomarth is the Old Colossus of Water and is credited in some creation myths as having created the world's oceans. He was so humongous that other Old Colossi could comfortably lay on his body, and he dedicated his existence to protecting Koldenwelt from his arch-enemy, the Simulacrum of madness Varagarash Narahil.

  • Arch-Enemy: Varagarash Narahil was this to him, and the feeling was mutual. Tritonomarth eventually defeated him, though he died to see it done.
  • Combat Tentacles: As a khrokar, his lower half was filled with tentacles. They even allowed him to (rather sluggishly) move on land.
  • Giant Corpse World: When he died, his body fossilized and eventually became Khrokar Island, located southeast of the Tropical Lands.
  • God of Good: Counted among the most amiable of the Old Colossi, who protected the world from the threat of Crytallis.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Ultimately sacrificed himself to defeat Varagarash Narahil, leading the demon god to be imprisoned in the hidden vault of Haldratar.
  • Kraken and Leviathan: The largest sea monster to have ever existed.
  • Making a Splash: He was the first god of Water Magic and some legends have him as the creator of all water in Koldenwelt.
  • Mix-and-Match Critter: He was the first of the khrokar, creatures resembling a cross between sharks and squids.
  • Posthumous Character: Has been dead for some 7,000 years by the time of the New Age.
  • Red Baron: The Old Colossal One, King of the Seas.
  • Threatening Shark: Subverted. Despite being a colossal half-shark god, he wasn't threatening unless you were a demon.

    Tangilaruka

Tangilaruka, New Colossus of Water

Species: Khrokar
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

"Dare not badmouth the Great Water Beast! She is not a merciful goddess and those who defy her will be crushed between her various rows of teeth. We must deliver our offerings to the great one in order to use the sea safely, and if outsiders think that's not necessary, then they'll have no one to blame but themselves when they're devoured alive."

Born from an egg created from Tritonomarth's dying energies, Tangilaruka is the New Colossus of Water and matriarch of the Khrokar race. Unlike her predecessor and parent, she had none to raise her, leading her to never become civilized and to live in the oceans as a wild beast, attacking any ships unfortnate enough to be around when she is feeling particularly hungry.

  • Combat Tentacles: Befititng a khrokar, her lower half is filled with tentacles which she uses to destroy ships.
  • Kraken and Leviathan: She's a giant sea goddess. Some cultures even refer to her as the Kraken or the Leviathan.
  • Making a Splash: She's the goddess of water, though due to her animalistic demeanor, she doesn't know how to use her abilities.
  • Mix-and-Match Critter: As a khrokar, she rresembles a cross between sharks and squids.
  • Monster Progenitor: She gave proper birth to the wild khrokar, and continuously does so despite not having a partner.
  • Red Baron: Terror of the Seas, The Kraken, The Leviathan.
  • The Speechless: Unlike most Colossi, she can't speak due to having never been taught language.
  • Threatening Shark: Much more so than Tritonomarth. Tangilaruka attacks ships to feed, completely disregarding who they may belong to.
  • Wild Child: Her apparent lack of sapience is due to being born alone in the oceans, surrounded by nothing but fish. She has the potential of gaining a great mind, but none have been able to help her, partially due to how dangerous she is.

Wind

    Constarnach

Constarnach, Old Colossus of Wind

Species: Griffon
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

“It is said that when he manifested from the swirling winds of the primordial world, graced with raw, primal magic, so too did the first griffons and rocs; his lasting legacy beyond memory of his hubris, for they possessed the wisdom to migrate throughout the world, rather than keep to the comfort of his realm among the clouds. ... In the end, it was inevitable that the Archgriffon and the kingdom he reigned over as Sky Lord would be brought to the earth, and as he screamed and pleaded for help while the flesh was torn from his body, he found no response from his brothers. He was ignored, left to bleed and die alone, just as he had been ignorant of our world, his siblings, and much of mortalkind when they were all in most dire need.”

The first griffon, Constarnach is the Old Colossus of Wind. A haughty entity, he ruled over a city of clouds in the skies, served by a race of mythical eagle men and being largely unconcerned with the affairs of the surface. When he was attacked and flayed alive by Behesanguis, the Blood Colossus, he had no allies to call for help.

  • Bird People: He's noted as being served by a race of unknown eagle-like beastmen, whose name is lost in history.
  • Blow You Away: As the Colossus of Wind, he was the god of all aeromancy. He used his mighty power over the air to create a civilization in the skies.
  • Fatal Flaw: Pride. His incredible arrogance meant he didn't collaborate with the other Colossi, and when he was eventually attacked, he had no one to call for help.
  • Flaying Alive: He was subject to this at the hands of Behesanguis, eventually leading to his death.
  • Jerkass Gods: He was haughty and full of himself, believing he was above the conflicts of the surface world. He never lent the other gods any help during the demons war because of this.
  • Our Gryphons Are Different: He was the first griffon known to have existed. In terms of appearance, he had the physiology of a classical griffon.
  • Posthumous Character: Killed by Behesanguis 22,000 years before the current day.
  • Red Baron: The Archgriffon, The Sky Lord, The Wind Reaver.

    Emryredin

Emryredin, New Colossus of Wind

Species: Wild Griffon
Alignment: Neutral Good

“In spite of the vast, untold destruction and ruin caused by his birth millennia ago, the Great Wild One serves as both a guardian for lands and a means of connection between the voices of mortalkind and the ancient, eternal minds of the divines. Neither blinded by his own majesty and great power nor driven by violence and primal instinct, Emryredin is perhaps the kindest of the Colossal lords of our world; he demands not tribute, servitude, or loyalty, so much as he kindly insists an open mind, good will, and pleasant conversation.”

Before Constarnach succumbed to his wounds, he used the last of his power to create an egg which would carry his legacy on. This egg eventually hatched as Emryredin, the New Colossus of Wind and first of the wild griffons. Unlike his predecessor, Emryredin is far more humble, and welcomes those who would like to commune with him at the Silver Steppe.

  • Blow You Away: As the Colossus of Wind, he is the god of all aeromancy. He notably holds the ability to use magical wind currents to carry messages, which is referred to as "windsinging".
  • The Ghost: Hasn't been featured in any stories, despite being part of the lore.
  • God of Good: One of the most amiable and benevolent of the Colossi.
  • Nice Guy: In a contrast to his predecessor, Emryredin is a humble and amiable god. He is always eager to meet pilgrims who'd like to speak to him, offering them support and advice in their journeys.
  • Our Gryphons Are Different: Emryredin is a wild griffon, which is essentially the griffon equivalent of a wyvern (four limbs, two wings and two legs). They are generally unintelligent beasts, though Emryredin himself is very wise.
  • Red Baron: The Great Wild One, The Lord Above the Mountain.

Earth

    Korddraigen

Korddraigen, Old Colossus of Earth

Species: Earth Drake
Alignment: Unspecified

"At the beginning of time, Koldenwelt was pure, peaceful - yet, it could not protect itself. I am its daughter and guardian, here to protect its beauty."

Among the first dragons of the world, Korddraigen was the Old Colossus of Earth, representing the Koldenwelti soil's stability and fertility. Considered a mother of the Klaxxa race, Korddraggren was a benevolent and serene being, concerned with maintaining peace in what she perceived as her realm - which was, effectively, the entire Koldenwelt.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: She was the first goddess of the earth, and held divine power over all Earth Magic.
  • Dragons Are Divine: Both a dragon and a goddess.
  • God of Good: One of the most peaceful and benevolent of the Colossi, who protected the world during the old demon wars. She is still worshipped in the current day as the matriarch of all dragons, even though she only directly created the Earth Drakes.
  • Interspecies Romance: It is said she was the consort of Venertimanoth, the Old Colossus of Fire.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Korddraigen was an Earth Drake, a race of true dragons with scales made out of solid stone.
  • Posthumous Character: Died by the claws of Caligaduro Provectus in an unspecified period before the Old Age.

    Arddraigr

Arddraigr, New Colossus of Earth

Species: Earth Drake
Alignment: Unspecified

"Thou hast scourged the world long enough, Mother-Slayer. Even in the world of dreams, I feel thy stench taint my cradle. Whence stone suffereth me to rise, thy reign shall end once and for all."

Arddraigr was created out of the pieces of Korddraigren's body preserved by the ancient Klaxxa and seeded in the volcanic caves of Ar-Klith, and as such inherits her power over the Koldenwelti soil - but not her stoic and serene nature. Representing the earth's fury and power, Arddraigr is far more quick to act, and controls more violent aspects of earth - as such, his body is formed from magma and molten metal and radiates a fiery aura. Still, Arddraigr is a being fighting on the side of good, and much like his mother he will go to great lengths to protect Koldenwelt and its denizen from all threats.

Secondary Elemental Magic

Ice

    Kartansimal

Kartansimal, New Colossus of Ice

Species: Unique
Alignment: True Neutral

"Ah yes, the Prince of Ice. Us Néva had once followed the path he walked as a sign of reverence, but soon we had lost that trail. In times of old, we saw him in the mountains, and I had the courtesy of speaking to him more than once. It is odd to see a god speaking to us mortals as if we were equals."

Kartansimal is the New Colossus of Ice, born when a divine bolt of lightning struck an icy mountain and animated its core, causing the god to pull himself out of the earth. He is highly revered by multiple cultures across the north, including the Néva, the Arakai, the Septentrions and some of the cultures within Talmyr.

  • An Ice Person: He's the Colossus of Ice, and is therefore the god of all cryomancy. He's notably the only known Ice Colossus, as the identity of his predecessor remains a mystery.
  • Behemoth Battle: During the events of Fall of Talmyr, he encountered and fought the Sanguapraegrandis at the coast of Talmyr. He emerged victorious, but the Blood Colossus escaped with its life.
  • The Blank: His body includes the vague reference of a head, but it's completely featureless.
  • Nice Guy: Described as rational and humble, seeing all life in Koldenwelt as important.
  • Red Baron: The Stargazer, The Prince of Ice.
  • Rock Monster: In terms of appearance, he looks like little more than a humanoid, asymmetrical mass of ice and rock.

Lightning

    Relanvadur

Relanvadur, Old Colossus of Lightning

Species: Unique
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

"The great raptor of Lightning was a double-edged sword. As much as he sought to, in his words, energize the world with his power, he also caused great calamities. Terrible thunderstorms and electric discharges once engulfed parts of the world when his ire was provoked enough, but in the end, I believe his heart was in the right place for he fought the enemies of the world to his last breath."

Relanvadur was a massive bird of prey and the Old Colossus of Lightning. An entity of curious behavior, he spent his existence away from the other gods, launching blasts of lightning at the surface in order to "energize" it. To this day, none of the other gods are exactly sure what Relanvadur was attempting to do.

  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Unlike the other gods, he paid very little attention to anything other than his attempts to "energize" the world by constantly launching lighting shocks at its surface, seemingly behaving in a completely alien mindset compared to the other Colossi. Whatever he was trying to do, it probably didn't work.
  • Expy: Design-wise, of Zapdos.
  • Giant Flyer: Spent most of his existence flying, despite being roughly four hundred meters long.
  • Noble Bird of Prey: While his nobility is arguable, he's nonetheless a massive bird of prey with divine power.
  • Posthumous Character: Was killed by Behesanguis some 16,000 years before the current day.
  • Red Baron: The King of Lightning, The Wrath of the Skies.
  • Shock and Awe: He was the first god of it, being the Colossus of Lightning.

    Thunardormir

Thunardormir, New Colossus of Lightning

Species: Unique
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

"Born of the ore, forged into steel. From beyond He spawned, to our aid He came; the lightning that sunders the earth, the Thunderous Hammer that flattens mountains, the Lord of the Dwarves is the lord of all that is dwarven. Not crafted but fostered by Him, not threatened but guarded by Him, the Thunderous Hammer we do not serve: the Thunderous Hammer serves as father to all of us."

A massive god resembling an armored dwarf, Thunardormir is the New Colossus of Lightning and the patron god of the Khargrim dwarves. Resting underground in a temple known as the Shrine of Storms, he often communes with dwarven pilgrims and clerics. Jolly, boastful and fatherly, he considers the safety of the dwarven people his greatest priority.

  • Behemoth Battle: His battle against Draethos, the Colossus of Darkness.
  • The Ghost: Hasn't been featured in any stories, despite being part of the lore.
  • God of Good: While he doesn't go out of his way to do goodness, he's a force of justice and opposes those who'd threaten the world and his dwarven followers.
  • Humongous-Headed Hammer: He carries a warhammer as big as himself, which he typically threatens to use on anyone who'd threaten dwarvenkind.
  • Our Dwarves Are All the Same: Well, for one, this one is a god and is over a hundred meters tall, far bigger than the average dwarf. In terms of personality, though, he's pretty much the standard, which likely makes him a role model for all the other dwarves who act the same.
  • Papa Wolf: He considers all dwarves his children, and woe is whoever tries to hurt them. Under his guidacnce, he helped the ancient Dweorg rebel against their Ordnung masters. As shown by his battle with Draethos, he's willing to fight even other gods to protect dwarvenkind.
  • Proud Warrior Race Guy: He's boastful and prideful of his combat skills, a trait which he shares with his followers.
  • Red Baron: The Thunderous Hammer.
  • Shock and Awe: As the New Colossus of Lightning, he is the current god of all Lightning Magic.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: He's described as being able to turn into a great mass of raw lightning, which is how he can move in and out of his shrine (he'd normally be too large to pass through the tunnels). He has also been said to be able to shapeshift into a normal-sized dwarf, which he has used to consort with mortal women, leading to the birth of children with divine blood and power. One example of such individuals is Kvo Eirik.

Sand

    Ahthinyearath

Ahthinyearath, Old Colossus of Sand

Species: Sand Drake
Alignment: Neutral Good

"Athinyeras, the Lady of Sandstorms... By the side of she and her offspring did the soldiers and warriors of our empire stand as friends and allies, our cooperation allowing countless victories - glorious and proud - over the Denizens of the Void. While her presence no longer graces our land of dunes and sands, her memory and selfless contribution shall grant strength to be harnessed for generations untold. ... A true mother to us all."

The first Sand Drake, said to have been born frm an egg laid by Korddraigen, Ahthinyearath is the Old Colossus of Sand. She created the rest of the Sand Drakes by breathing life into the sands, and lived in harmony with her children until she fell to the claws of Khuamkira, the Crux.

  • Behemoth Battle: Her battle with the Crux. Unfortunately, she lost.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: She was the first goddess of the sands, having divine control over Sand Magic.
  • Dragons Are Divine: Both a dragon and a goddess.
  • Giant Flyer: Nearly eight hundred meters long and well capable of flight.
  • God of Good: One of the most benevolent gods to have ever walked Koldenwelt.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: As a Sand Drake, she resembled a massive wyvern with power over sand.
  • Posthumous Character: Was killed by the Crux 25,000 years before the current day.
  • Red Baron: Mother of Sand Dragons, Lady of Sandstorms, The Wings of the Desert, She Who Fought Flesh.

    Almonohuim

Almonohuim, New Colossus of Sand

Species: Unique
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

"Praise the one who dives into the sands of the desert sea, the one whose might in this land is unrivaled. The one who breathed life into our kind's scales and allowed us to walk the same land as he slithers. The God of Cobras is our patron and that shall never, ever change."

The New Colossus of Sand, Almonohuim resembles a gigantic cobra made out of sand, rocks and all else that becomes stuck on his hide when he passes through a region. He commands over the Snake People known as the Man-Serpents, and unknowingly created the Merovar race when he shed his skin. He's largely unconcerned with affairs that don't directly affect him, preferring to accumulate a hoard on his nest, known as Almonohuim's Throne.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: As the New Colossus of Sand, he has divine control over arenamancy.
  • The Ghost: Hasn't been featured in any stories, despite being part of the lore.
  • Jerkass Gods: Unlike most Colossi, he's a haughty creature who demands worship, not being interested in affairs that don't directly affect him.
  • Pride: He was born prideful, and his ego was only inflated by the races of the Sea of Sand worshipping him, to the point he now accepts nothing different.
  • Red Baron: The God of Cobras, The Storms Embodied.
  • Snakes Are Sinister: Subverted. While he's a haughty and selfish entity, Almonohuim isn't malevolent.

Nature Magic

Flora

    Eondrassilia

Eondrassilia, Old Colossus of Flora

Species: Giant sequoia
Alignment: True Neutral

Eondrassilia is the Old Colossus of Flora, and unlike the others, who typically take the form of fantastic beings, she was a plant. A tree of titanic size, whose branches were said to pierce the sky and whose roots were claimed to dig enough to reach the world's center, she is often said to have been the creator of all non-sapient lifeforms at the dawn of time.

  • Green Thumb: She was the first Colossus of Flora, the school of magic dedicated to plants. Due to the identity of the New Colossus still being unknown, she's the only Colossus with this position so far.
  • Posthumous Character: Toppled and killed before written history by an unknown assailant. It's said her branches became the Western Forests, while the collision of her trunk into the surface caused the Everwinter Highlands to be thrust into existence.
  • Red Baron: The World Tree, The Progenitor of Life.
  • The Speechless: On virtue of being a literal tree, she was speechless and devoid of any senses or motion.
  • World Tree: She was this, and is credited for having created all non-sapient lifeforms of Koldenwelt, including plants, animals and everything else.

Poison

    Teratoma

Teratoma, Old Colossus of Poison

Species: Unique
Alignment: True Neutral

"The Colossi of old were indeed great beings with great powers. However, not every one of them was proud of their power like many think, and there were some who even regretted their own existences. The World Spore was one of them, and during its existence, it did nothing but cause death and decay through his path, much to his own dismay."

A gigantic mushroom controlling the body of a massive spider-like monster, Teratoma is the Old Colossus of Poison. As the old world's main beacon of venomancy, Teratoma's mere presence was enough to poison the very land beneath him, though he did not do so intentionally; rather, he lacked the ability to control his godly power, and the destruction he caused led him to become a depressed and hated creature in the old world.

  • Driven to Suicide: After living a tortured existence, he eventually had enough and threw himself into the ocean, drowning to death.
  • Fungus Humongous: The true Teratoma was a mushroom which stood roughly 150 meters tall.
  • Giant Spider: It looks like the god is a gigantic, mutant spider, but that's actually just a massive creature under his control. The actual god is the mushroom on its back.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: It's a giant mushroom-spider monster named Teratoma. Subverted in that it's not evil, but it's destructive nonetheless.
  • Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: All he wanted was company (his only ever friend being Eondrassilia), but due to having no control over his venomous attributes, all races hated him.
  • Poisonous Person: He was the first Colossus of Poison, though he didn't have control over his abilities and ended up just poisoning everything and everyone in his wake.
  • Posthumous Character: Has been dead for an unknown period of time, likely tens of thousands of years.
  • Red Baron: The Plague Bearer, The Fungus of Death, The World Spore, The One Who Fears.

    Xitannoth

Xitannoth, New Colossus of Poison

Species: Unique
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

"In the distant past, the giant purple bird visited this land, offering gifts and protection. But instead, our ancestors found their homes infested with the bird wyverns he takes control of, with him laughing out at their misery. The purple bird is not to be trusted, for his sadism is notable and his promises are all lies."

The youngest of the New Colossi, Xitannoth is the current god of Poison Magic. Resembling a monstrous pterosaur, this fiendish entity differs from the other earthly gods for the sadistic amusement he takes in tormenting mortals. He is credited as being responsible for turning the region of Qliphoth into a toxic wasteland, leading to great suffering to the Oevrumine people.

  • Arch-Enemy: He considers Atrocius this after having fought him before, and the feeling is mutual.
  • Breath Weapon: Has been seen breathing out a blast of toxic smoke from his beak which is corrosive enough to eat through solid stone.
  • Curse: Upon his birth, he cursed the entire Oevrumine race with a fertility plague that made them greatly struggle to have children.
  • It's All About Me: Xitannoth is an insufferable and self-centered creature, believing the world to be his personal playground.
  • Jerkass Gods: Known to trick and torment mortals both to steal from them and for his own amusement, which has given him a terrible reputation across the world. Not that he cares.
  • Poisonous Person: The current god of all Poison Magic, being the Colossus of Poison.
  • Red Baron: The Trickster God, The Storm of Death, The Lying Giant.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Red-eyed and one of the most dangerous Colossi to mortals.

Blood

    Behesanguis

Behesanguis, Old Colossus of Blood

Species: Skin Thief
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

"Its legs writhed across the landscape, appearing like waterfalls made of pure gore. It wore the skin of its dead enemies as trophies, showing off its hatred for us."

Mightiest of all Skin Thieves, Behesanguis is the Old Colossus of Blood. After being approached by Analuhati, the Simulacrum of knowledge, the massive elemental pledged his allegiance to him and became an enemy of the other earthly gods, being involved in the deaths of Constarnach and Relanvadur. He threatened the world for tens of thousands of years, always followed by his blood elemental spawn, until he was brought down by the legendary Dawn Wardens.

  • Black Eyes of Evil: Typical of his type of blood elemental, his eyes are huge and pitch-black.
  • Blood Magic: As a Colossus, he held divine power over all Blood Magic.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: He was on the receiving end of it. Behesanguis is the only divinity to have ever been killed by mortals, after facing off against the entire force of the Dawn Wardens, the most powerful warriors of the Adamantine Age. However, the Wardens did lose three fourths of all their members in the battle, which would lead to their eventual destruction years later.
  • The Dragon: Served as this to Analuhati in Koldenwelt during his existence.
  • Elemental Embodiment: He was a monstrous and colossal blood elemental.
  • Flaying Alive: His preferred method of finishing off his enemies. He did this both to Constarnach (who he stole the skin of and wore it as a cape for the rest of his existence) and Relanvadur (he couldn't wear his hide as it electrocuted him when he tried).
  • God of Evil: One of the most malevolent Colossi to ever exist, which led to the mortal forces of the Dawn Wardens to attack and kill him.
  • Monster Lord: He created and lorded over the Skin Thieves, a race of blood elemental.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Most Skin Thieves only have two arms, but Behesanguis sported eight in total.
  • Posthumous Character: Was killed by the legendary Dawn Wardens around 6,000 years before the current day, making him the only god to ever be slain by mortals.
  • The Speechless: He only communicated through gargled roars.
  • Red Baron: The All-Devouring Tide, The Sanguinary of Gods, The Great Hating Mass.

    Sanguapraegrandis

Sanguapraegrandis, New Colossus of Blood

Species: Sanguabominamentum
Alignment: Lawful Evil

Invoked into the world by Imperator Kalarah using both Blood and Void Magics, the Sanguapraegrandis is the New Colossus of Blood and a war beast of the Legion of Shiarchon. Devoid of sentience or free will, this immense abomination serves as the Legion's greatest naval weapon.

  • Beast of Battle: Serves as this to the Legion of Shiarchon.
  • Behemoth Battle: During the events of Fall of Talmyr, it confronted Kartansimal, the Colossus of Ice. While it was defeated, it didn't flee from the region.
  • Combat Tentacles: It uses its massive tentacles with deadly intent.
  • Blood Magic: It's the current Colossus of Blood, though it doesn't use hemomancy offensively. Rather, Blood Magic is used to keep it alive.
  • Giant Squid: It resembles a monstrous squid-like creature, and it acts similarly.
  • God of Evil: On virtue of being a weapon of the Shiarchon. The creature itself is devoid of any sentience.
  • I Have Many Names: Known as Sáṃkǣvrækrantis in Dark Elvish.
  • Kraken and Leviathan: It's a giant squid god that inhabits the sea.
  • Red Baron: Great Titan of Blood.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Last seen being attacked by a swarm of Shadow Drakes in the climax of Law of Gods and Men. Its fate following that is unknown.

Time

    Samayapalaka

Samayapalaka, Colossus of Time

Species: Unique
Alignment: True Neutral

"There are many gods and demons that have walked through the Thirteen Planes and in the forever marred plane of Isiris - many of which with discernible nature - good or evil. Yet there were those who remained simply among Isiris as caretakers and shapers of its once black formlessness, and the great song of time and its composer was the first."

Samayapalaka, the Colossus of Time, is the least known and understood of the Colossal pantheon due to not having a significant presence in the world, preferring to hide itself away from Caligaduro Provectus. Due to still being alive, it is the only Colossus of Time to have existed.

  • The Blank: It vaguely resembles a humanoid, but it's completely devoid of any features.
  • Levitating Lotus Position: Apparently its default body position.
  • I Have Many Names: Known as Dātanavarās in the Orichalcum Elf pantheon.
  • Red Baron: Song of Isiris, Weaver of Consonance and Dissonance, Great Spider of the Ages.
  • Time Master: It's the god of Time Magic, with some sources claim it's responsible for making time run at all.

Divine Magic

Light

    Sihilienu

Sihilienu, Old Colossus of Light

Species: Enuisi
Alignment: Lawful Good

Sihilienu, the Old Colossus of Light, was an enigmatic creature of no discernible likeness to beings of Koldenwelt and roamed the distant skies of the planet far from the other Colossi in a constant peaceful voyage. The Colossus of Light's end came as it was attacked and left for dead by the dragon form of Caligaduro Provectus, causing it to die slowly in agony over the course of many days. The Enuisi race was said to have been born from Sihilienu's corpse after it died.

  • Elemental Embodiment: The Enuisi, a rare race of light elemental, were born from its corpse. Sihilienu was likely the first Enuisi by extension.
  • Giant Squid: In terms of appearance, it resembles a giant floating squid-like being.
  • God of Good: A force of good in the ancient Koldenwelt.
  • Light 'em Up: It was the original Colossus of Light Magic, having divine power over luxomancy.
  • Posthumous Character: Killed by Caligaduro Provectus around 9,000 years before the current day.
  • Power Floats: It moved around bu floating.
  • Red Baron: Great Skyward Leviathan.

    Lorchakim

Lorchakim, New Colossus of Light

Species: Unique
Alignment: Neutral Good

"We look up to the Dawnbringer as a model of what we would like to be. His radiance covers the whole world, his magnitude surpassed only by Isiris. He is the angel of the world who looks upon us at all times, and we can only hope to be accepted under his judging eyes."

A being resembling a gigantic angel, Lorchakim is the New Colossus of Light. Falling from the heavens like a meteor, he was raised by the Light Drake matriarch Mentiryanth until she grew envious of his power and locked him away in a shrine, where he would remain imprisoned for the next thousands of years. However, the machinations of the Cult of the Eclipse led to the shrine's destruction, and now the angelic god roams free once again.

  • Behemoth Battle: During the events of One Thousand Horns, he has a brief clash with Kaherihonar, the destructive incarnation of the Simulacrum of Madness, which ends with him winning.
  • God of Good: One of the only truly benevolent Colossi to walk the earth in the New Age.
  • Large Ham: His voice is loud and boisterous, in part due to his massive size.
  • Light 'em Up: He holds divine control over Light Magic, being the current Colossus of Light.
  • Our Angels Are Different: He's a 128 meter tall angel, which is striking due to Koldenwelt not being known to be home to classical angels.
  • Red Baron: The Dawnbringer.
  • Sealed Good in a Can: Thanks to Mentiryanth, who imprisoned him in a shrine in an attempt to usurp his place as the Colossus of Light. Unfortunately for her, the divine order doesn't work like that. He was freed from his imprisonment at the climax of One Thousand Horns.

Darkness

    Siivhahzin

Siivhahzin, Old Colossus of Darkness

Species: Linnwyrm
Alignment: Chaotic Evil

"Even at its infancy, the world was full of dark. Greed. Envy. Wrath. Through means no one can understand, these negative emotions took the form of a macabre serpent who sought to wrap itself around the world and strangle it of all life. To oppose the Linnwyrm was to dig one's own grave for he felt nothing but disdain for us all."

Born from the sins of the ancient immortals, Siivhahzin is the Old Colossus of Darkness and the father of the Linnwyrm dragons. With an infinite hatred for all - be it Koldenwelt or the planes beyond -, he sought the destruction of all life. His arch-enemy, Venertimanoth, would eventually slay him, though not before he cursed him and all of his descendants; to this day, the Fire Drake race is still afflicted with the so-called Curse of the Father, which saps them of their power with each generation.

  • Arch-Enemy: He was this to Venertimanoth, and the feeling was mutual.
  • Casting a Shadow: As the Colossus of Darkness, he held divine power over umbramancy.
  • Dark Is Evil: The god of darkness and pure evil.
  • Dragons Are Divine: He was both a god and a dragon, and though he acted demonically, he wasn't a demon.
  • Dying Curse: When he was finally killed by Venertimanoth, he cursed him and his Fire Drakes to slowly be sapped of their life force with each generation. It led to the Fire Drake species becoming gradually smaller and less powerful over time. The curse itself is known as Curse of the Father.
  • God of Evil: Likely the most evil Colossus to ever exist.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Draethos, his successor as the Dark Colossus, was constantly plagued in his early life by nightmares where he relived Siivhahzin's atrocities, which are heavily implied to be one of the reasons he went full Knight Templar.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Sported an extra pair of arms, which his descendants lack.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Siivhahzin sought nothing more than the complete extinction of all life.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Siivhahzin was the first Linnwyrm, a race of dragons sporting a pair of arms but no other limbs (meaning they're both legless and wingless).
  • Posthumous Character: Killed by Venertimanoth 26,500 years before the current day.
  • Red Baron: Hatred Incarnate, He Who Brings The End, Father of Linnwyrms.

    Draethos

Draethos, New Colossus of Darkness

Species: Unique
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

"Only I can lead Koldenwelt through the coming crisis."

Draethos is the New Colossus of Darkness. Resembling a monstrous hydra, with each of his seven heads representing one of mortalkind's greatest vices, he attempted to force the world under his rule, with the belief that a world drowned in darkness was preferable to one fallen to the corruption of the Simulacra. His physical form would be shattered during a cataclysmic battle with fellow Colossus Thunardormir, though his spirit lingers on and his heads would each assume a corporeal form of their own, independent from one another and with various degrees of awareness over their Colossal origin.

  • Behemoth Battle: His battle with Thunardormir, the colossal god of lightning.
  • Casting a Shadow: As the Colossus of Darkness, he held divine power over umbramancy.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: While extremely ruthless and close-minded, he was inspired by dreams of Old Colossal heroes and genuinely believed what he did was the best for the world, which is a contrast to Siivhahzin.
  • He Who Fights Monsters: He was afraid of a world enslaved by the dark gods of the beyond... so he attempted to do it himself. When he realized it, he lost it.
  • Knight Templar: He wanted to save the world from the corruption of demons by drowning it in his darkness. Those who resisted were either brainwashed into service or killed and raised into undeath.
  • Multiple Head Case: He was a hydra with seven heads, each vaguely independent though usually sharing the same goal.
  • My Death Is Just the Beginning: An interesting case, as it was completely unintentional of Draethos' part. After he died, portions of his essence reincarnated into numerous entities, some of which are genuinely evil, which can't be said for Draethos himself.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: He realized he had become as bad as the Simulacra he sought to fight while battling Thunardormir. He decided the best course of action was to let the dwarven god kill him.
  • Necromancer: He had power over necromancy and much of his army was composed of undead.
  • Posthumous Character: Notably the only New Colossus to be dead, in his case after a fight with Thunardormir.
  • Red Baron: The Dread Hydra, The Seven Deadly Sins.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: It's said each of his head represented one of mortalkind's greatest vices, and were individually empowered by cultists practicing said vices in their names.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: While he attempted to enslave the world with an army of darkness worshipping cultists and undead beasts, he honestly thought it was preferable to a world ruled by the Simulacra.

Sun

    Aursorhataran

Aursorhataran, Old Colossus of Sun

Species: Sun Drake
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

"In the great shaping of the thirteen planes, this world laid bare and formless, bathed in the shadow of Tlahlarān's great maw. The great gods Aurārel, queen of the highest suns and Kaurarān, king of the holy moons shaped great beasts in spite of Tlahlarān and his terrible form, and birthed the dragons of the sun and moon, and brought day and night to the world."

The Old Colossus of the Sun, Aursorhataran is believed to be the first and greatest of the mythological Sun Drakes. The Orichalcum Elves believed that Aursorhataran was also a key individual in the creation of the world.

  • Our Dragons Are Different: He was the first of the Sun Drakes, a race of true dragon with power over Sun Magic who didn't really resemble any kind of dragon.
  • Posthumous Character: Killed by Caligaduro Provectus around 28,000 years before the current date.
  • Power Floats: Like the rest of his kind, Aursorhataran used magic to fly without the need for wings.
  • The Power of the Sun: He was the Old Sun Colossus, having divine power over heliomancy. He's the only known god of his position, as the identity of the New Sun Colossus remains unknown.
  • Red Baron: The Brilliant, The Inheritor of the Sun.

Storm

    Nalúnt

Nalúntsarvozon, Colossus of Storms

Species: Storm Drake
Alignment: True Neutral

"At the behest of the earth; the winds and seas bow to the power of the moons. And the king of these moons, the great Storm God Nalúnt; casting earth, air, fire and water asunder with his very gaze. As his power struck the earth, so gave rise to revere and fear him - for the world is governed by his divine breath. Kings and immortals beware, for there is no greater ruler than nature itself."

One of the eldest dragons of the world, Nalúnt is the Colossus of Storms. He spent most of existence corrupted by the power of the Void, when he would be known as Nalúnt the Fallen, though recent events led to his cleansing and to return of aetheromancy's presence on Koldenwelt. Due to still being alive, he is the only Colossus of Storms to have existed.

  • Big Bad: Of Primordial Darkness, as Nalúnt the Fallen.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: After being defeated by Caligaduro Provectus, he was corrupted into Nalúnt the Fallen, his greatest servant. He got better, though.
  • Dark Is Evil: As Nalúnt the Fallen.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: As his real self. He's a giant black dragon associated with the night, but he's on the world's side against the forces of evil.
  • Face–Monster Turn: Became Nalúnt the Fallen after being corrupted by Caligaduro Provectus, which included being turn into a terrible jet-black dragon. He was eventually cleansed of the corruption by Soldalatel at the climax of Primordial Darkness.
  • God of Evil: As Nalúnt the Fallen.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: He is a Storm Drake, who are a race of dragons with power over manipulating the weather.
  • Red Baron: God of Storms, Lord of Dragons, King of the Two Moons, Breath of Isiris.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: As Nalúnt the Fallen, he was imprisoned under the Archipelago alongside his Void masters at the end of the Adamantine Age. He managed to break free during the events of Wrath of Night,
  • Weather Manipulation: He is the Colossus of Storms, having divine control over the weather.
