I'm married to such a beautiful woman! This has to be a dream, right?!
  • Accidental Discovery: While he was in the library studying magic to get stronger, he chances upon a sheet of paper detailing how to summon a devil that someone else had left in the book.
  • Adaptation Personality Change: In the novel version, he's not afraid to call out Helvi when he thinks she steps out of line. In the manga, he's so, so devoted to her that it borders on My Master, Right or Wrong, as he will call out anyone who angers her. Case in point, when two female mercenaries he used to partner with drag Helvi into a duel, and she wipes the floor with them without even trying, Novel Theo would yell at Helvi for taking things too far after crushing them to the ground with gravity magic. In the manga, when the same event happens, he looks at said female mercenaries coldly and says "you picked a fight with my wife, you're getting your just deserts."
  • All-Loving Hero: He bears no grudge or malice to anyone, not even the horrid adventurers who abused him. Not only does this make Helvi fall madly in love with him, it makes her extra murderous when she sees the abuse.
  • Amazon Chaser: In addition to her physical beauty, he's attracted to Helvi because she's the most powerful woman around.
  • Arrested for Heroism: When Theo and Helvi return to town with the Chimera's corpse in tow the town guards detain him and Helvi.
  • Can Not Tell A Lie: When Helvi accuses him of lying, Theo denies it and explains that his grandpa taught him never to lie.
  • Chick Magnet: The entire staff of female guild receptionists are very, very fond of Theo and would happily take him up on it if he ever asked them out, because they instinctively know he's the kind of guy who would be so grateful to have a girlfriend that he'd dote on her like crazy. The receptionists in question instantly bond with and celebrate Helvi for marrying him.
  • Conditioned to Accept Horror: When he pricked himself in the wrist with a dagger, so as to use a drop of his blood to summon a devil, he winces but thinks "meh, this is nothing compared to the time adventurers kick me in the stomach."
  • Covert Pervert: Though he kept it to himself, he greatly admired Helvi's Navel-Deep Neckline outfit, and would like to see more of the same.
  • Curtains Match the Windows: He has black hair and black eyes.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: His parents abandoned him as a toddler. The old couple who took him in died before he reached adulthood. In order to live, he had to take up work as a mercenary/adventurer without having any talent in swords or sorcery, so when he became a porter, it wasn't long before parties started seeing him as a burden rather than a Support Party Member and literally kicked him out far too often to count.
  • Dark Secret: Played for laughs. When he was a toddler, he used to wet the bed, tried to hide it, and then "grandpa" would chew him out for trying to hide it while "grandma" gave him hugs and comforted him.
  • Devoted to You: Helvi's well-being and happiness is his top priority. He objects to Helvi choosing the chimera quest because he doesn't want to put her in danger. She has to talk him into it.
  • Did You Just Romance Cthulhu?: Helvi is strong enough to destroy the planet, and does not care about the lives of humans generally. Theo actually likes her withering gaze and when she read his heart and found out how smitten he was with her, she turned around, blushing like a Smitten Teenage Girl. Then she agrees to marry him before falling madly in love...
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Yes, Theo is a boy, despite his effeminate looks. Surprisingly, no one has mistaken him for a girl yet.
  • Endearingly Dorky: The guild receptionists, and Helvi, all absolutely adore him because he's shy and socially clueless.
  • Everybody Has Standards: He may be desperate for money, as a matter of survival, and put up with a lot of crap from his fellow mercenaries as a result, but there is one thing he will not compromise on. Helvi is his wife, and he won't share her with anyone, even if refusing to do so means that a beating is coming his way.
  • Expressive Hair: His Idiot Hair changes based on his mood.
  • Extreme Doormat: Theo puts up with strong abuse and poor treatment from the rough mercenaries of the guild. Helvi and the receptionists of the guild hate how he is treated, and Helvi is strong enough to do something about it.
  • Freaky Is Cool: He finds Helvi's Hellish Pupils, sharp gaze, and the contrast between her jet-black horns, wings, and dress versus her pure white hair and milky skin divine.
"Those big eyes and crimson pupils are so beautiful… The contrast between her black dress, horns, and wings and her pure white hair is just lovely."
  • Gag Penis: While Theo is described as a cute rabbit, his penis is likened to a wolf. His large erections are represented as happy chibi versions of himself, referred to as" Theo's Theo."
  • Happily Adopted: The old couple who took him in and treated him as a grandson loved him very much, and he loved them in turn.
  • Hard Work Hardly Works: He has absolutely no talent for combat, be it swordsmanship or sorcery. He only begins to get stronger when he lies with Helvi.
  • House Husband: Theo is a very skilled cook who enjoys feeding others. Helvi is grateful for it as she is entirely unfamiliar with such things. After their first meal together, Theo even teaches Helvi how to wash dishes.
  • Idiot Hair: He's got one strand of hair on the center of his head that sticks straight up for no explained reason.
  • Irony: He views Helvi's beauty as angelic. She's a devil! Strangely, she actually likes the comparison.
  • The Ingenue: A male example. He doesn't even know what sex is! He believes that if he so much as kisses a girl, ten or so months later a stork is going to deliver a baby.
  • Loophole Abuse: He may not be able to lie, but he's got no obligation to correct the lies of others, especially when they lie on his behalf. As such, he lets Helvi's cover story go unchallenged so he doesn't have to admit being married to a devil.
  • Love at First Sight: Helvi facetiously asks if love at first sight is what spurred his proposal, and when he explains that was exactly it she doesn't believe him.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: The role reversal between Theo and Helvi is commented on by other characters and the text itself with some frequency. Theo is small, cute, and good with housework while Helvi is strong, confident, and monstrously powerful. Fiore even mutters to herself that if the genders could be reversed and still work fine, and the other receptionists have a field day imagining such things.
  • Morality Chain: Keeping him happy is the only reason Helvi's good and kind.
  • Morality Pet: Theo's the guy who Helvi treasures, and she dotes on him. Almost everyone else is, at best, of no interest to her.
  • Prone to Tears: He tends to cry easily and who can blame him.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: His default automatic expression when he's upset or depressed. This makes all the ladies, especially Helvi, go absolutely gaga.
  • Sickening Sweethearts: Theo and Helvi often flirt with each other at a moment's notice, and other characters often get jealous or miffed because of it.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: Theo knows several women who he has good relationships, and some who have explicitly made moves on him. However, he never saw any of them in a romantic light. Helvi appears to be the first and only woman he sees that way.
    • The manga exaggerates this, by showing a flashback where he was in a tent with two female mercenaries who were scantily clad and coming on to him. His response? Turn around and go to sleep!
  • Stepford Smiler: The last time he was kicked out of a party it hurt him more deeply than normaly, because the ones who did it insulted his grandparents. Fiore respects his ability to smile and be thankful even through the abuse he suffered before Helvi arrived.
  • Support Party Member: He may be completely useless in a battle and has to be protected, but he's still very, very valuable to any party who is willing to try and keep him out of the line of fire.
    • He's an expert herbalist and can not only identify herbs and their properties at a glance but is the only one in the guild that can harvest them correctly. He's the reason the guild even has herb-gathering quests.
    • He is skilled in first aid and can heal injuries.
    • He's talented at dismantling monsters and preparing the materials for use or sale. This is something he would often study at the library.
    • He is a Supreme Chef who can make restaurant-quality meals from monster meat, rice, and a small selection of herbs and spices that he prepared himself.
    • Even the rowdiest and temperamental of horses is a well-behaved foal in his hands.
    • He's an expert at setting up camp, pitching tents, etc...
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: He's short for his age, even considering the fact that he's only 14. When he and Helvi stand side by side, the top of his head reaches the top of her breasts! He noticed. She noticed that he noticed. He still looks her in the eyes by default when they chat.
  • Too Desperate to Be Picky: First, he only works as a porter for the abusive mercenaries because he has no viable alternative if he wants to put food on the table, and when he's perusing the library, he's so desperate to stop getting kicked around that he happily takes the opportunity to summon a devil, seeking Power at a Price, even after reading in every tome he could get his hands on that devils are the most evil existence, ever.
  • Wacky Marriage Proposal: The moment he finishes drinking in her beauty for the first time, he yells out "Please Marry Me!" as a response to Helvia asking him what his wish is. She retorts "Huh?!! Do you know what you're asking?" After a bit of convincing, she agrees. She does not regret it.

     Helvi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/50496_0.jpg
As she appeared when summoned.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1_ece68100533fe3694a3d739bcfd86355928c77a3afd8c673fd0988308246ad21.jpg
Her civilian guise.
  • Almost Kiss: When she saw and heard that Theo will never let anyone else have her, regardless of the price, she got ready to kiss him on the spot. Her kiss was interrupted by Carl, who tried to retaliate for getting his arm broken when he went after Theo. Helvi was not amused and sent him fleeing with a Death Glare and the promise that his very next word(s) would result in his death.
  • Arrested for Heroism: When she and Theo bring the Chimera's corpse to the city gates so they can show the adventurer's guild proof of its death, the guards instead of letting them pass arrest them. Neither she nor Theo understand the reasoning. When the captain of the guard finally shows up, hours later, acting haughty, Helvi has had enough and pins him to his knees with gravity magic to show just how pissed she is. Fortunately for the Knight Captain, he gets real smart, real quick and lets them go.
  • Badass Finger Snap: Unlike all the other spell-caster characters who chant their spells, she just snaps her fingers and whatever spell she deigns to use manifests almost instantly.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: More than his inherent cuteness, she quickly became fond of Theo because he's the first human, ever, to admire her physical beauty, rather than run in fear and look upon her with disgust, due to her race's bad reputation.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: She is not going to share, Theo is hers and hers alone. She threatens anyone with designs on Theo, even a little girl. But she becomes friendly with all of them once its understood.
  • Conspicuous Gloves: She wears fingerless gloves as part of her outfit, at all times. Best explanation is Rule of Cool.
  • Conveniently Unverifiable Cover Story: Well, the only people who could counter her cover story regarding how she met Theo are the old couple who are dead, and Theo himself, who wisely chooses not to say anything about it.
  • Cuteness Proximity: She goes gaga over Theo every chance she gets because she finds him the cutest thing in her multiverse.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: When Theo summons her and stands before her speechless she believes Theo is too terrified of her to speak his wish. What really happened is that Theo was so awestruck by her beauty that he didn't even hear what she was saying, so when he shouted out "please marry me!" it took them both by surprise.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: It isn't just male adventurers who think Helvi is sexy. In later parts of the story, some women would very much like to sex her up too.
  • Extreme Libido: She very, very much wants to have sex with Theo, but he is so embarrassed after learning what sex is that she holds herself back. She even demands praise for her restraint when discussing the situation with Fiore.
  • Hellish Pupils: She has pupils that expand into slits and glow red. Theo absolutely adores them!
  • Hero of Another Story: Supplemental materials reveal that the setting was an even worse Crapsack World than the story starts out with. Humans were on the verge of extinction, treated as slaves and livestock for demons, far more powerful monsters walked the land, in massive numbers, and basically unopposed, and the standard of living was universally bad. Then a human summoned her from hell, and while we're not shown what this human had to pay afterwards, she completed the wish to reverse the situation, hunting the monsters to extinction, freeing humanity, and driving off the demons, all by herself.
  • Hidden Depths: She's an excellent masseuse and isn't too shabby in the kitchen either, after a lesson or two from Theo.
  • Horned Humanoid: She has a pair of very prominent horns on her head, which Theo adores.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Her mere presence causes abject fear in a greatly feared demon beast known as a Chimera. To Helvi, they are so low level that she considers it a wonder how the humans cannot handle it themselves.
  • Hot as Hell: She's an attractive devil with an Extreme Libido.
  • Hypocritical Humor: In chapter 20 of the manga, she brings down the party's luggage from the sky over the clouds, which causes Gina to have a bit of a freak out. She lectures Gina "you should think about what is common sense" for the reaction. Problem with that line of thinking is that bringing along luggage by sending it flying over the clouds and yanking it back down to the ground when needed isn't common sense in the first place!
  • I Am Not Pretty: She is so accustomed to being feared and loathed that she didn't believe Theo when he said he was awestruck by her beauty. When she reads his heart to learn his ulterior motives, she has a Freak Out upon finding out how he idolizes her beauty and elegance.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: Prior to Theo, she never experienced any affection. When she met him and realized how much he adores her, it didn't take much convincing to agree to marriage.
  • Interspecies Romance: She, a devil, is madly in love with a human, in reciprocity to him being madly in love with her. Even she doesn't understand it. She just knows that if feels good to see him happy.
  • Love Redeems: Because she's in love with Theo, who absolutely dotes on and treasurers her, she's a total sweetheart, willing to do whatever it takes to make him happy.
  • Marriage Before Romance: She agrees to marry Theo before she knows anything about him, aside from a cursory peek into his heart to see if his wish was genuine. He doesn't know anything about her, but idolizes her "angelic" regal manner and beauty. She enters the marriage contract and is then immediately made aware of the entirety of his being, and really, really likes what she sees.
  • Mystical White Hair: Her white hair serves to illustrate her supernatural nature.
  • The Needless: She does not need to eat, sleep, or even breathe. She eats Theo's cooking just because she likes it.
  • Noble Demon: Theo has nothing to fear from Helvi. Not only does she honor the letter of her marriage contract, she honors the spirit and genuinely dotes on him. She's also cordial and polite until she's given reason to not be.
  • No Challenge Equals No Satisfaction: She asks Flore for the hardest mission available and is disappointed when she's asked to go fight a chimera, because she considers such a beast "small fry." She wants to show off just how badass she is to her husband and doesn't think such a "weak" monster will do the job of being a fitting example.
  • Nominal Hero: She's good and kind only because it makes Theo happy. If not for that, she thinks nothing of people and would kill them for any reason.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: She hides her devil heritage with a cloak for her wings and covers her horns with some kind of feathery decorations. This works because nobody's expecting a devil mixed in human company.
  • Perfectly Arranged Marriage: The cover story she uses to explain her sudden appearance and marriage to Theo is that her family are close friends to the old couple who raised him and promised her hand in marriage to him when he came of age, and when the two of them met, it was Love at First Sight. The receptionists all go "squee" in response.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: She boasts that she can blow up the planet if she wants to.
  • Phlebotinum Battery: Once she and Theo start making love, she unwittingly "bleeds" mana into him. While the amount is truly insignificant for her, for him, it's a godsend as he can finally start using magic
  • Pitbull Dates Puppy: The jaded, haughty, and cynical Helvi is smitten with the shy, sensitive, and very, very humble Theo, and he was smitten with her first! They dote on each other like crazy.
  • Pointed Ears: Nobody ever mentions it, but her ears are prominent and pointed.
  • Really Royalty Reveal: After the "herbs on a mountaintop" arc, it's revealed by another devil that she's actually the queen of all devils, but was ousted in a coup of all the noble factions put together, and even then, she was still too powerful to kill outright, so they sealed her memories away and sent her to the mortal world. The only reason this worked is that she didn't remember that her memories were tampered with. Once she's informed, she breaks the spell with ridiculous ease, but abjectly refuses to go back, and the guy who tried to drag her back... got a graphic death for messing with Theo.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: She has red irises and even redder pupils, and as a devil, she's a force of nature to be wary of.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Even without taking her horns into account, she towers over Theo and has, at a minimum, half-a-foot over everyone else. Everyone finds her absolutely gorgeous.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Cold and cynical on one side, sweet and flirty on the other.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Within minutes she goes from "I will kill those who insult my husband because it's an indirect insult to me!" to "I will kill those who insult Theo because it hurts HIM!"
  • Ultimate Life Form: Boasts of being such an entity Often, given her physics & magical law defying capabilities coupled with the fact her own kind sealed her away due to how powerful she is however. It's possible this might not be an exaggeration.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Insulting Theo will make her murderous. Threatening him is a sure-fire way to get a beat-down you won't soon forget. Just ask Carl. Actually plotting or attempting to harm him will result in death at minimum, and she's capable of making the truly deserving envy the dead before she is finished.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: She's ticklish. Good luck getting close enough to exploit it though...
  • When She Smiles: Helvi almost constantly scowls, but around Theo, she goes totally gaga and smiles like the sun. Everyone who sees it finds her absolutely adorable.
  • Winged Humanoid: She has a pair of wings with black feathers. Theo finds this one of her best charm points and calls her "angelic" as a result. Despite being a devil, she absolutely adores this.

Mercenaries' Guild:

Staff:

     Flore Leotard

Theo...GOT MARRIED?!!!
The first of the named receptionists at the guild.
  • Big Sister Instinct: She sees Theo as an adorable little brother of sorts, and if she were able, would like nothing more than to snuggle and comfort him like crazy with as many Cool Down Hugs as he can take. When Theo didn't show up in the guild for three days in a row, she was the most vocal about wanting to know why.
  • Bystander Syndrome: Like the rest, she's strictly forbidden to come to Theo's aid, even when he's abused and exploited right in front of her, at least when it involves other mercenaries. The reason for this by-law has yet to be mentioned.
  • Covert Pervert: She has at least one on-screen Imagine Spot of pinning Theo down and mounting him, cowgirl style. She immediately freaks out and tries to jar the image from her mind while sporting a Luminescent Blush.
  • Nice Girl: One of the few members of the guild to be genuinely nice to Theo.

     Other receptionists
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/33_o.jpg
Helvi-san? We have some questions for you...
  • Gossipy Hens: When they're not busy dealing with mercenary guild business, they love to spend their time gossiping about anything and everything.
  • The Knights Who Say "Squee!": They are awestruck and strangely excited that Helvi is attracted to and married Theo.
  • No Name Given: They get screen-time, yes, but none of them is ever named.
  • Staring Down Cthulhu: Unintentionally. When they pepper Helvi with questions about her relationship with Theo, she admits that she actually feels cornered for the first time in memory.

Mercenaries:

     Carl
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/carl02.jpg
You dare to break my arm, you BITCH?! Prepare yourself!
Only the latest of mercenaries that believes he and his party are entitled to beat Theo around and exploit him until he breaks, and then have the right to get violent when he does.
  • An Arm and a Leg: The arm he used to try and punch Theo wasn't cut off, but it might well have been. It has so many compound fractures that it looks like a crushed soda can.
  • The Bully: Like most of the other mercenaries Theo's had the misfortune of working with, he's fond of bossing Theo around, and inflicting violence when Theo refuses to comply, then calling it a "favor" when he pays Theo his contractual share.
  • The Cassandra: When his adventurer buddies get the "brilliant" idea to raid Theo's home for a bit of gang rape on Helvi and Flore while Flore's paying the newly married couple a visit, he begs them not to go, telling them that Helvi's far more dangerous than she appears. They all chalk it up to his broken arm messing with his head and don't believe him, until it's too late.
  • Entitled Bastard: When Theo failed to show up for three solid days, he and his party had the gall to be butt-hurt that Theo wasn't being their whipping boy, calling him "an ungrateful and unreliable brat" and then upon seeing Theo's wife, cornered the boy at the receptionist's counter, arm around Theo's neck, demanding that Theo pass around his wife like a common whore, for the "privilege" to remain a member of their party. Then he tries to take a swing at Theo when he refuses.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Because of his obnoxious attitude, absolutely no one in the guild likes him or his party. The receptionists especially hate their guts for how they treat Theo, and for their horndog behavior.
  • Psychological Projection: Since he and his party don't care if Theo lives or dies, they all presume that nobody else would, and completely ignore the glares of the entire guild staff.
  • Sensing You Are Outmatched: Supplemental materials reveal that it wasn't for no reason that he turned and fled from Helvi. As he was about to attack her, he realized two very, very important things. 1.) She's not human. 2.) She's so much more powerful than he is that she could literally squash him like a bug. He later tries to enlighten his buddies that their so-called "brilliant" idea to try and take her by force isn't going to end well and is ignored.
  • Thin-Skinned Bully: He doesn't turn and run from Helvi when she breaks his arm so badly his hand looks like it's dangling by a thread -he was still rearing to go and be violent at this point- he chickens out and flees in terror when she glares at him and tells him he's dead the very next word he says. There is no on-screen show of force from Helvi nor use of magic, he just chickens out and runs for no reason, to the confusion of his two lackeys who saw the whole thing.

     Carl's "friends"
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gang_9.jpg
Why don't we make it so the one who kills Theo will be the first to feast on that fine woman!
A gang of mercenaries Theo ported with, rounded up by Carl's party. All of them thought ambushing Theo, Helvi, and Fiore at Theo's home for some gang-rape and murder, both to avenge Carl's arm and humiliate Theo was a fine idea. Helvi disagreed, very, very violently.
  • And Then What?: Supposing their "brilliant plan" had gone without a hitch, Theo is well known, and liked, by the town guard. What were these yahoos expecting to happen when the fun was over and the guard came to investigate? And if they were expecting the guild to cover for them, Theo's well-liked by the receptionists too...
  • Fate Worse than Death: The guy who led this shin-dig and decided to loudly announce Theo's death would be the start of the festivities got his own customized hell. The narration doesn't spell out what THAT entails.
  • Half-Truth: Carl's party tells the rest that he's not participating in this little Rape, Pillage, and Burn because he's injured, which they all accept. What they're not saying is that Carl actually used his brain and realized going after Helvi is not going to go well.
  • Mugging the Monster: They are a gang of over 8 high-ranked and leveled mercenaries, going after Theo, Helvi, and Fiore, with Theo and Fiore known for being non-combatants. Helvi confronts them in the alley behind Theo's house after overhearing their plans, and when they rare to go at her, she teleports them to the Chimera cave for a bit of privacy before she beheads all of them in seconds, save the ring-leader, and the one who suggested making Theo's death the impetus for her rape. She lets him jump right over the Despair Event Horizon as she tells him that she's got a special (and perhaps literal) hell planned for him.
  • Off with His Head!: All of them, save the one who put forward the idea to make Theo's death the starter-gun for the gang-raping, were beheaded. That guy was envious of them when Helvi mentioned what he was going to be facing...
  • Rape as Drama: They all gathered together to gang rape Helvi and Fiore upon seeing the latter enter Theo's house, because they were butt-hurt that Theo got to marry such a fine woman. This makes Helvi's decision to give them graphic deaths so, so gratifying.
  • Revenge Myopia: In the manga, Carl's party rounds up the rest to get even with Helvi for Carl's broken arm, a plan Carl himself wants no part of. Carl's party conveniently ignores the fact that Carl's arm was broken while attempting to punch Theo, Helvi's husband, in the face after refusing to treat Helvi like a common whore and then threatening Helvi herself.

     Seria Solisia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1_o_4.jpg
Wait! What?! Theo got married?!
One of a pair of mercenaries Theo used to party with. They reluctantly broke up with him when they had to go to the capital because his life would have been in jeopardy if they took him along.
  • Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?: She spent the better part of a year concerned about her sex appeal when she and Gina went after Theo sexually, at the same time, and he responded by going to sleep.
  • Beat Them at Their Own Game: On the wrong end. She uses gravity magic during the duel with Helvi, which impresses the latter, but then Helvi uses gravity magic right back, crushing her and Gina to the ground.
  • Sword and Sorcerer: The sorcerer of the party.
  • The Worf Effect: She's shown taking down a powerful bear-type monster with magic in close combat with ridiculous ease, but she loses to Helvi (not surprising) and has to withdraw and let Helvi deal with the leader of a bandit gang (very surprising).
  • Wowing Cthulhu: She manages to briefly impress Helvi by casting gravity magic, which Helvi didn't think humans can cast. Then Helvi retaliates with gravity magic, pinning her to the ground.

     Gina Ademollo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1_o_73.jpg
Hoh? The strongest in the world you say? Let's fight and find out!
The other member of the mercenary party that once had Theo in their ranks. Much as they would have loved to bring Theo with them to the capital, it's not likely he would have survived the attempt, so they regrettably let him go.
  • All Women Are Lustful: Back when she, Seria, and Theo were a party, she is the one who suggested she and Seria go after Theo sexually when the three of them shared a tent. To her shock and horror, Theo's response was to go to sleep!
  • Ambiguously Brown: She's very tan and it's not known if it's because of her ethnicity or her active outdoors lifestyle with clothing that shows plenty of skin.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: She demands a duel with Helvi when the latter, rightly, stated she's the most powerful being in the world. She gets it and gets literally stomped.
  • Chainmail Bikini: Justified. Not only is it her race's custom to expose a lot of skin, as a light warrior, she prioritizes agility over defense, and uses [Steel Magic] to boost her defensive strength when she can't dodge.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: In addition to demanding a duel with Helvi when the latter proclaimed herself the penultimate being in the world, she also is deeply jealous that Theo married Helvi instead of either herself or Seria.
  • A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read: Helvi is troubled reading her mind because she fantasizes about sex with Theo every few seconds, and it's quite explicit.
  • Sword and Sorcerer: Though she fights with fists rather than swords, she's the sword to Seria's sorcerer.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: She's always goading and luring Seria into doing mischief, especially where Theo is concerned. In chapter 22 of the manga, she badgers Seria into helping her peep on Theo and Helvi when she thinks the two are going at it like rabbits in heat. Helvi lets the two of them peep so they can see he's just getting an innocent massage rather than have to endure Gina and Seria broadcasting borderline porn into her head.
  • The Worf Effect: She's shown taking down a bear-type monster twice her size and many times her weight, by sending it flying, but she easily loses to Helvi (not surprising) and the leader of a bandit gang (very surprising).

City Knight order.

     Knight Captain Lauro
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fargo_3.jpg
What is this power?!
The captain of the knight order. Accustomed to having Theo do the dirty work for his knights, when he finally deigns to appear after Helvi and Theo were detained for completing the Chimera subjugation quest, he greets the two of them haughtily, after they've been detained in the local jail for hours, with the narration stating that if the knights didn't personally know Theo, their standing orders were to have him and Helvi put into chains. Naturally, this pisses off Helvi, and she responds by crushing him and the knights in the room with him to their knees with gravity magic until they get the message that messing with her is a bad idea.
  • Did Not Think This Through: Granted, the knights seeing a Chimera approaching the city would make things rather tense but when the Chimera is later proven to be a corpse, arresting someone powerful enough to kill -in a single blow- a monster that would normally take an entire knight contingent to defeat, while expecting heavily casualties, and then flexing by making them wait for hours in the jail, and then getting haughty? Yeah, he and his knights got off easy.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: Literally. He wears full-body plate-mail, is a sanctioned knight, and lives up to the virtues of the trope.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: After a few seconds of being pinned to his knees by Helvi's gravity magic, he drops his haughtiness in a hurry, apologizes for his rudeness, and offers Helvi a medal for taking down a dangerous monster. Helvi declines the medal due to the Realpolitik behind it and instead asks to be rewarded by Theo's home cooking.

Enemies

     Orgo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/33_n.jpg
Well, well. Finally, someone I can test my strength against after a long time!
The leader of a pack of bandits that target Gina, Seria, Helvi, and Theo as the group is climbing a mountain on a long abandoned herb gathering quest.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: The narrative repeatedly states that if all his minions came at him together, they wouldn't stand a chance, and they're no pushovers, though the last part is a bit of an Informed Attribute with all of them losing to Seria and Gina with disgusting ease.
  • Cut Lex Luthor a Check: As strong as he is, and being a "unique creature," he could earn far more money legitimately as a mercenary, but he chooses to be a bandit, because he utterly refuses to be bossed around.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: After his defeat at Helvi's hands, literally, he's visited by another demon who gives him a power boost for his own agenda.
  • Insult Backfire: When Seria and Gina look upon him with disgust after he suggests "gifting" them an easy death, he proclaims that it's a compliment.
  • Life-or-Limb Decision: When he's up against Helvi and she puts him on the receiving end of his own signature attack, he rips off his own arm in order to escape certain death.
  • Made of Iron: Literally. As a "unique creature" he was born with skin that's as tough as iron.
  • Rebellious Spirit: He became a bandit, despite being able to earn far more money legitimately as a mercenary, because he absolutely, positively cannot tolerate being bossed around, especially by nobles considerably weaker than himself who use their noble title as an excuse to look down on others.
  • Scars Are Forever: He's got a series of scars over his left eye.
  • Spectacular Spinning: He uses a martial arts technique where he spins his arm rapidly at the point of impact to tear his enemies to shreds, literally. Gina is able to survive it because of her [Steel Magic] body strengthening, and he uses it to tear off his own arm, but it's utterly useless when he tries it on Helvi by punching her in the abdomen.
  • The Worf Effect: He beats up Gina and Seria put together, but he gets his ass handed to him, almost literally, by Helvi.

     Unnamed Devil

But I only did it for you! If you weren't bound to that weak human, you would retake your rightful place as our queen!
An unnamed devil who tries to drag Helvi back to hell to rule over all the others for his own gain. He targets Theo for death to "free Helvi from her contract" and put her on the throne. Unsurprisingly, she takes this poorly.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: In the attempt to murder Theo to break Helvi's contract and bring her back to hell, he lets slip that Helvi's suffering Laser-Guided Amnesia via magic. The instant Helvi's informed of it, she detects the magic placed on her, breaks the spell, and realizes she isn't a virgin, but in fact is very, very well versed in sex, so that removes her biggest hang-ups about having sex with Theo. She and Theo start making love, and a lot of it, from that point on.
  • An Offer You Can't Refuse: When Orgo is busy tending his wounds, this guy shows up and offers the bandit power in his quest for Revenge Myopia, in order to keep Helvi busy while he kidnaps Theo.
  • Psycho Supporter: He is genuinely loyal to Helvi, or at least tells himself he's loyal to her, and makes himself believe it, but he cares not a whit about her wants, needs, or wishes. He is firmly convinced that she can only be content as the ruler of hell, not married to some weak, helpless human child. Being a devil who respects strength as well, Helvi can understand where he's coming from, but pointedly does not appreciate his efforts to try and manipulate her back onto a throne she no longer cares for, especially since he tried to kill her lover in the process.
  • They Were Holding You Back: He thinks Theo is unworthy of Helvi because the kid's a total weakling and is keeping her from her rightful throne, so he kidnaps and tries to murder Theo. Helvi does not take that well and gives him a graphic beatdown and an even more graphic death.
  • Too Dumb to Live: This fool earned his death when he kidnapped and attempted to murder Theo to get Helvi to go back to the underworld with him.
