• Asleep for Days: Inverted. Before the Megamix bus picked him up, he waited for the bus for 3 full days once it arrived, likely not sleeping due to not seeing a need for it.
• Demonic Possession: The "Neil" you see isn't the real Neil, but rather Bill Cipher possessing Neil's body.
• The Nicknamer: He is very rarely to refer someone with their actual names.
• Out-of-Character Moment: Once Ke$ha tells him that she's from LA, his personality does a full-180, becoming quivering and scared in contrast to his usual trickster self. Even Ke$ha is confused by his reaction, as she points it out in her interview.
• Place Worse Than Death: Seems to view California as this, given that he started acting scared and kind once Ke$ha told him she was from LA.

Detective Hat Kid

Well, have you seen everything that's been going on?! Like what happened to Mr. Neil, or that masked snake guy, or that guy who steals Christmas! That's impossible, no one can steal an entire holiday! It's all up to me to gather the evidence I need to solve these mysteries. ...I hope you all are along for the ride, cause I could use all the help I can get!"

There’s a mystery afoot, and DETECTIVE HAT KID is on the case! You might recognize this ace detective from her expert work on cases such as the “Murder on Owl Express” and… (erm… well that’s pretty much it). But that doesn’t mean Hat Kid’s days of investigation are over! Donning her Crime Solving Outfit and equipped with her trusty spyglass, no stone is unturned until Detective Hat Kid solves the mystery of what force has changed the personalities of her old friends…

After taking a very close second place last time, Heavy went back to his roots and began perfecting his recipe for moist and delicious Sandviches. Now he’s all filled up and ready to leap back into the battle, complete with serving up a wide array of new sources and dishes for his opponents to run from. Heavy may have been outsmarted once before, but he’s yet to meet someone who can outsmart him and his appetite!

• Alternate Reality Game: In addition to being able to use music from ARGs, this was how MAD/EON was first revealed. A Freeze-Frame Bonus at the end of the "Saturdays Are Made For Mashup Week!" compilation contained a hidden link to a secret page on the Megamix website with a list of password-protected links, each containing a clue for the next link's password. By solving these clues, which ranged from uncovering backmasked messages in earlier Megamix tracks and transcribing a sequence of coded notes into a MIDI sequencer to assembling a papercraft and completing the activity sheet on the side of a childrens' menu, players would piece together a final password that, once input, would unlock MAD/EON's reveal trailer.
• Me's a Crowd: MAD/EON isn't above using his Self-Duplication powers for really trivial reasons. Case in point, our first introduction to them involves him sending a clone to give an interview for him because he didn't want to show up for it.
