Dark Is Not Evil: There may be a beastman mafia boss and an ex-military demon in the group whose color palette is dominantly black, but they’re some of the sweetest, most lovable dorks you’ll ever meet.
Darker and Edgier: Gen 3 embraces a darker aesthetic than their predecessors, featuring intimidating and blatantly unearthly characters with a spicy sprinkle of lore, with the sole exception being Kaoru - who's just a regular human. That being said, once you spend time watching them you come to realise that they're just dorks.
Punny Name: Their unit name, MaFia, obviously indicates Shien at first glance, but in Japanese the "Ma" (魔 in 魔フィア) is actually written using a kanji that means "demon" - referring to Oga.

The Ace: While he’s majorly a Jack of All Stats, Shien’s talent in gaming is truly awe-worthy whenever it’s put in the spotlight.
- Downplayed example, but Shien self-admits that he's an enthusiast when it comes to fighting games, and admitted to having being one of those people who played them at arcades when he was young. Although not the best player ever, he can still hold his own fairly well when playing Guilty Gear Strive, leaving even Koefficient (who is a fighting game streamer to begin with) impressed by his skills.
- He was picked as this by other members of Team LobStars when they entered the Ponpoko's Vtuber Fall Guys tournament, and indeed, he was the MVP who singlehandedly won two crowns and survived the game that earned the team enough points to win the championship.
- When he joined in Ponpoko and Peanuts-kun’s 24 hour stream as a guest and was made to play a custom-made Super Mario Maker stage, he became the first person to finish it with flying colors. In the process, he put on an impressive display of precision down to the smallest movements and composure - in fact, he was so cool that he even provided his own commentary!
Affectionate Nickname: Oga and Miyabi both call him 'Shiepi'. Shien himself later adopts this nickname as his character's name in Monster Hunter: Rise.
ASMR Video: He's done a few of these, and is probably the best at it, to the point that Miyabi actually asked him for advice regarding his own ASMR videos. Some of them have their quirks, though.
Badass Longcoat: He wears a long black coat lined with fur in his regular outfit. During his introduction stream, he notes that it would be difficult to wear it in the summer due to the heat. His Live2D update, as well as his 3D collab with Rikka, Roberu and Oga reveals that he can remove it.
Catchphrase: He always starts his streams and introduces himself with "From Holostars’ 3rd gen, the mafia boss from the land of beastmen, I’m Kageyama Shien".
Cloudcuckoolander: Downplayed. While Shien perhaps has some of the most common sense when it comes to actually living, his decisions while playing games or what kind of streams to do can veer into some very odd territory, often leaving his fans wondering just what exactly goes on inside his head.
- While playing a TRPG with Oga and Fubuki - Shien's solution to foiling an evil god being summoned was... to go ahead with the ritual and just hope that his party members could work something out. The DM later flat-out said they needed to recalibrate the story because they hadn't expected such an outlandish decision. Hilariously enough, they managed to successfully complete the scenario.
Color Motif: Purple. His official fanmark is also a purple circle.
Consummate Liar: Although downplayed compared to Arurandeisu or Temma, Shien has shown to be pretty competent when playing as the impostor in Among Us.
Cool Big Sis: Tomoe Shirayuki from Nijisanji is one to Shien, sharing the same illustrator and having debuted before him. The two of them have collabed together on several occasions, and Shien himself addresses her as 'Ane-san'.
Cool Mask: Gains an utterly cool gas mask in his 100k outfit reveal, which has the shape of a jackal’s mouth.
Cool Sword: Played with. Obtains one along with his New Year's outfit, called the DX Kageyama Blade, but from the fact that it lights up and comes with sound effects, it's fairly evident that it's meant to be a toy. It's also put on display like a katana during his 3D stream.
- He actually does own one, which he bought during his 1-month homestay in New Zealand. Although it lacks a blade, he recalled that it was difficult for him to convince customs to let him take it home.
Covert Group with Mundane Front: He reveals in his PASH! interview ^note that in the beastmen world, his organization runs a lunchbox shop called “ChottoHotto Motto” as a front.
Cute Little Fangs: He has a set of fangs one can see whenever he opens his mouth, befitting his concept as a jackal beastman. While his teeth are jagged, they aren’t prominent enough to be considered Scary Teeth like his genmate Oga.
Does Not Like Spam: He doesn't like oysters, noting that its slimey texture was what drove him off as a child, and expresses envy towards people who find them delicious. He also mentions in a stream that he dislikes celery as well.
Does This Remind You of Anything?: Shien has a tendency to make some very interesting sounds when frustrated or excited, though considering that it's him, it's likely partly intentional.
Expressive Ears: As of his 2.0 update, Shien is now able to move his ears - droopy when sad and pricking upwards when alert/angry. This trait is something he can also do with his 3D model.
Fashionable Asymmetry: His 100k outfit spots this motif with his mismatched jacket and shoes.
Fetish: He likes butts, particularly those lacking thigh gaps since they jiggle due to the 'fleshiness'.
Foil: To Temma, in terms of concept. While Temma is a noble knight's apprentice with bouts of Comedic Sociopathy, Shien is portrayed as a tough mafia boss...whose general attitude betrays otherwise.
Furry Confusion: He's a jackal beastman who keeps a pet rabbit, Usa-chan.
Furry Ear Dissonance: Although Shien's model is based off a black jackal (as he's insisted), you'd be hard-pressed to find similarities between his animal features and that of a real-life jackal, which may contribute to why he's often mistaken as a cat or even a dog.
Hidden Depths:
- When asked by a viewer on how to be more confident in oneself, Shien immediately responded with 'Love yourself'. He then admits that in the past, he had a complex about his voice, often mumbling in a way that made him difficult to understand. It took him realizing that he loved playing around with his voice to build his confidence, and he encourages his viewers to find something that they love to do the same.
- Shien is capable of reading, comprehending and speaking Korean to an extent, enough to live by himself when he went to Korea for business. It’s all self-taught, though he believes he also got the influence from his mother - who did some translating works. After keeping it a little secret for two years because there’s no good opportunity, he finally demonstrates this ability in the superchat reading stream after his birthday.
In-Series Nickname: Addressed as 'Boss' by his fans, matching his premise as a mafia boss. In turn, he addresses his viewers as his 'subordinates'.
Insistent Terminology: He's not a dog - He's a jackal!
I Will Find You: The original premise of Shien's backstory was that he was looking for his best friend, who had been separated from him. This is eventually Played for Laughs when this was brought up during his debut watch-along stream, Shien brushed off the incident, commenting that his friend had probably returned home by now.
Shien: ...Yeah, I really can't find my best friend. (laughs) There's a high chance that he already went home to the beastworld.
Jack of All Stats: Unlike his fellow Holostars who either lean more towards gaming, chatting or singing, he’s very well-balanced in between. In an interview with the Japanese magazine "Otomate Style", he also called himself an all-rounder.
Large Ham:
- Apart from just being dramatic in general, he often does voiceovers when he plays games involving dialogue, which can vary from relatively suitable voices to turning all of the girls of Doki Doki Literature Club! into sounding like yakuza members.
- He is also a big abuser of the echo filter on his mic, to the point that it has become something of a running gag.
- Lampshaded and Played for Laughs by Kaoru, who once commented that Shien 'misuses his handsome voice' - likening it to him using a well-crafted baseball bat to play soccer - a comparison that flew over Shien's head during his own introduction stream.
Little Bit Beastly:
- Shien is based off a black jackal, according to his introduction stream. His full character reference◊ and his 3D model shows that along with his ears and teeth, he has a fluffy tail to match. As of his 2.0 live model update, he's able to move them both as well.
- He only has his jackal ears on his head and no human ears, so his white hair pieces always cover where they would, and all the glasses he wears are specifically designed for human-earless beastmen.
- This is somewhat expanded on during a talk stream. According to Shien, all beings in the beastland are born as beasts; while some remain as such, others can eventually evolve to a more human-like form 2-3 years after their birth, which is what happened to Shien.
Long-Lived: Beastmen can live up to 200 years old, and Shien mentions that he'll maintain his current form for a long time (for about 20-80 years) before aging physically again.
The Mafia: According to his lore, Shien is a big-shot mafia boss known among beastmen. With his demeanor being what it is, it can be a little hard to believe.
Meaningful Name: Specifically, his last name. According to Shien, Kageyama is the name of his best friend, who gave him the position of mafia boss. In return, Shien adopted his friend's name as a surname in gratitude.
Mundane Utility: Even him expressed his surprise that his experience in disguising himself and acting as someone else during his time as a mafia boss would one day help his Vtuber activity.
Nice Guy:
- Roberu mentions that Shien frequently hangs out with and buys stuff for his friends, and once showed up randomly at Roberu's place to cook for him. When offered to stay the night (a surprising outcome considering Roberu's territorial-ness regarding his home), he refused to take the bed from Roberu, opting to sleep on the floor with a blanket instead. Then he made Roberu breakfast and even cleaned the dishes afterwards.
- During a talk stream with Roberu and Izuru, they both agreed that he's incredibly friendly, likening him to a Siberian Husky.
The Night Owl: His average sleep time is 4AM, and his good morning tweets are usually around 2PM. He's ocassionally done 'good morning' talk streams at 6-7AM...without actually having slept at all.
Once Done, Never Forgotten: Shortly after Shien's debut, he made the unfortunate mistake of having his official account locked due to setting his birth year as 2020.^noteDuring this period, he had to tweet from the official Holostars Twitter instead This resulted in his fans jokingly calling him a baby, which was further encourage by some of the other Holopro members - from Fubuki's drawing of baby Shien to Oga calling him a 'babbling baby' during his own debut stream, and Kaoru opting to use a milk bottle for Shien's drink during their group-talk streams.^noteIronically, he's lactose intolerant.
- This is why despite having an official fanmark (a purple circle), his fans have taken to using a baby bottle instead, which he begrudgingly accepted and later incorporated as part of his membership.^note
- Management has since adopted this as his motif - It's gotten to the point where when official Holostars socks were released, the bottle was actually used for his icon, much to his chagrin.
Shien: Oi, management! Why is it a baby bottle!!?
Parrot Pet Position: His mascots - Nekoyama, Koyama and Nakayama - are perched this way on both his New Year and Summer Live2D models. His 3D model can lock them onto his shoulders too!
The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: He's a mafia boss, but he hasn't done any mafia-related activity yet.
Poke the Poodle: Similar to Towa, he's known for how kind and cute he is despite his character being set as a bad guy. Any attempts he tries to make at being a intimidating mob boss come off as completely unconvincing.
Precision F-Strike: His English-only Fall Guys stream results in quite a bit of swearing, and when speaking in English he tends to swear the most.
Real Men Wear Pink: He's one of the few Holostars who's able to cook well, and according to Oga, he and Shien both like cute things, like stuffed toys. In addition, he regularly streams and is a big fan of Twisted Wonderland, a mobile game whose main audience is primarily women.
- His viewers have also noticed that his Twitter likes feed also consists of animal videos and recipes, something that Shien is a little embarrassed about.
- After Capcom granted Cover the rights to stream their games, among the variety of genres, Shien opted to play Toware no Palm - a mystery-adventure otome game.
- He has touched on this matter before during a talk stream, about how he doesn't think there should be any barriers for anyone to love doing what they want because of their gender or otherwise.
Ship Tease: Downplayed and played with.
- His collab pairing with Roberu (known as 'Babudon') shows that they're on very friendly terms, having met up off-stream several times to hang out. Notably, Roberu once held a guerilla talk stream where it's revealed that not only did he and Shien go grocery shopping, but he was also at his house cooking Roberu dinner. This lead to Roberu's chat jokingly asking Shien to become Roberu's wife to ensure that he would finally start eating properly.
  - During the Molly Online collaboration, all four involved members (Hanakishi and Babudon) streamed themselves getting their prizes^note. Shien notably went out of his way to complete the entirety of Roberu's set (tapestry, cushion and keychan) before getting one item each from Miyabi and Temma.
- There is also his collab pairing with Oga, known as MaFia. As gen-mates, they're fairly close, and notably during one stream when asked on who among the Holostars he would date, his choice was Oga. He also admits to Tomoe that among the group, he finds Oga's voice the most appealing to him.
- Notably during a Twitcast, he and Oga briefly acted out a BL scene.
- He asked for hugs and kisses from Oga in 3D streams no less than once, most notably in the Lobstars 3D fitness collab.
Signature Laugh: His gremlin-like laugh when he's feeling mischievous, to the point that it was made into a stamp for members to use.
Skewed Priorities: During his introduction stream, he mentions several goals, such as hitting 50k subscribers, getting a Nintendo Switch...and needing to fix his washlet. By the time the new year came around in 2021...he's gotten his Switch and hit his subscriber goal...but he still hasn't fixed the washlet, much to Oga's dismay. Even after a full year after his debut, it remains unfixed.
Street Urchin: In the interview with the magazine PASH!, he admits that he used to live in the city slum before becoming a mafia boss. He gained his acting hobby after picking up a comic magazine in the dumpster and starting to act and shout the characters’ lines.
Supreme Chef: According to the other Holostars, Shien's a pretty good cook, and some of his Twitcasts involve him talking while preparing meals. He once showed up randomly at Roberu's house, suddenly made him dinner, stayed the night and then made him breakfast in the morning. The results were apparently delicious according to Roberu.
Team Pet: Nekoyama (created by Oga), who often accompanies him during streams, and also serves as an impromptu censor during his Twisted Wonderland streams. To a lesser extent, he also has Koyama and Nakayama, who appear on his shoulders in his New Year's outfit as well as his summer outfit.
- According to the one takeover stream of Catlateral Damage, Nekoyama speaks in a rather monotone voice, and likes fish and hamburgers.
- All of them make an appearance as 3D props during Shien's 3D stream, where it's revealed that Nekoyama is able to change his size in real life, and along with the others, can happily perch on Shien's shoulders.
The Teetotaler: Shien admits that his body is weak to alcohol and caffeine, and thus usually refrains from both (though he has started to take up drinking on occasion again).
- He once recounts a time where he went drinking when he was about 20 years old. Because he was unaware of his limits, he drank so much Kahlua Milk^note that he got sick, to the point that he actually threw up blood. It was this incident that made him realize that he shouldn't force himself to drink.
Terrible Artist: Zig-zagged. While Shien's thumbnails aren't the greatest in the world, they aren't that bad. Regardless, he was made to take part in Roberu's 'Shitty Thumbnail King' Contest, though he managed to cinch first place since his thumbnails wasn't all that bad.
- He is capable of drawing decently (like the Bukatachis^noteNickname and mascot of his fanbase he drew in his 2.0 New Year Outfit relay stream), but usually prefers to make things like this instead.
Trademark Favorite Food: Omurice and anmitsu, but especially omurice. When asked what he's eaten while streaming, omurice tends to be a common answer.
- During his 3D reveal stream, one of his segments includes being covered in plates of omurice from his subordinates.
Wangst: In-Universe. It's implied that Shien thinks his character's backstory is rather embarrassing.
Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: His golden eyes were meant to represent his guile as a mafia boss, but then he’s anything but.

ASMR Video: Has done several of these, ranging from the typical scenario acting to more...questionable activities, such as his aptly-named 'electro-shock dialogue reading ASMR'.
Badass in a Nice Suit: His summer outfit is a very nice suit, that also happens to be a cafe owner's uniform.
Bad Liar: Rivals Rikka in this aspect in Among Us, where he often struggles when being made the imposter, be it actually killing people or getting away with it. During the HololiveID/Holostars collab in early 2021, when accused of killing Aruran as the imposter, he defended himself with this:
Oga: Aruran killed himself!
Bag of Holding: He has pouches strapped to his hip. According to Oga, he carries a Gameboy Advance and a Neo Geo Pocket...along with plenty of retro games in them.
Baritone of Strength: Befitting his character concept of an ex-military demon, he has one of the deepest voices among the Holostars, rivalled only by Shinri. This is heavily abused during Oga's cover of Love Live!'s 'Snow Halation' during a collab singing session.
- He later mentions during a late-night talk stream that because his voice is naturally low, it can be difficult for people to hear him clearly, which causes him to raise his voice, which in turn spooks people.
Battle Aura: His 3D reveal stream shows that he has one of these in green, though Shien jokingly described it as dousing himself in 'melon soda'.
Big "NO!": A few of his Uma Musume and Granblue Fantasy streams have ended this way, with him wailing in anguish due to his poor luck on the gacha system.
Birthday Buddies: He shares the same birthday as HololiveID's Ayunda Risu, January 15th. To celebrate in 2021, two covers of 'Daddy Daddy Do' were released on their channels, each featuring themselves as the main vocals for the song and the other as backing vocalist. Oga also paid a visit to Risu's stream to accompany her during her birthday countdown, as well as a post-birthday talk on Oga's stream the next day.
- Played for laughs when he tries to play this card when accused of being an Impostor in the IDStarAmU Among Us collab. He tried appealing to Risu since they have the same birthday, they're basically siblings. He gets ejected anyway.
Butt-Monkey: On the receiving end during the 5th episode of WachaWachaHolostars, where a punishment included using electricity to shock the members. While all three did get shocked several times, Oga in particular got shocked a total of 19 times (in comparison, Roberu and Miyabi were shocked 5 and 7 times respectfully).
Oga: It was at this moment that I decided to destroy the studio.
Can't Hold His Liquor: During his 100k milestone, he got tipsy off a single can of Horoyoi, which is noted to have a very low percentage of alcohol (about 3%).
Cool and Unusual Punishment: Oga's choice of punishment games tend to veer towards electric shocks via an electric massager. Victims of this punishment have included Fubuki, Shien, Aruran and himself.
Cool Shades: Receives these as part of his summer attire.
Cool Uncle: According to Oga, he has a niece who he often dotes on, and it can be common for him to bring her up now and again. Notably, he received two Sylvanian Families toy sets for his birthday from a viewer, and muses that it would be better for him to give it to his niece (before asking if it's okay for him to do so).
Color Motif: Green.
Crazy-Prepared: During the first TriNero collab, Oga admits that due to being new to streaming, he had been unsure about using assets he didn't own. As a result, he not only drew his own streaming background but also made the pixel art in his introduction video himself.
- During one of his later Gunpla assembly/talk streams, instead of usually taking photos of the process, he decided to leave a camera on and instead used a pair of tongs to hold the Gunpla parts.
Does Not Like Spam: He dislikes quail eggs. His introduction stream mentions that his beta design actually included him holding a bento box with these, and had to ask the artist to get rid of the eggs. This resulted in the complete removal of the bento box, which Oga admits he feels bad about.
Does This Remind You of Anything?: His electric shock ASMR reading invokes this. And that's just one example.
Even the Guys Want Him: Played for laughs - Oga has noticed that a lot of his male viewers tend to express this sentiment, much to his amusement.
Eyepatch of Power: He's an ex-soldier with 5 millennia of fighting experience with a badass eyepatch to prove it. Though, Oga has proven that he can take off the eyepatch without any reprecussions, a feature which carries over to his 3D model.
- As of late he's started to appear without his eyepatch more often after people told him he looked more handsome without it. He notes that he still ensures that his right eye is partially covered by his hair because looking into both his eyes will cause people to be charmed by his demon powers.
Fanboy:
- He's a big fan of Zoids and Gundam models, but notes that he's running out of space in his apartment to put them.
- He's also a fan of Marvel and The Avengers, particularly Iron Man. He often spends portions of his talk streams geeking out about it, and once tweeted a photo of a Ironman figurine he purchased.
Fetish: He's mentioned multiple times that he's into Netorare (NTR), and once gave an explanation on it during a talk stream.
Gentle Giant: He’s an absolute unit at 192cm and has probably the most menacing appearance in Holostars, but usually he’s just a sweet gentleman who wants to provide his viewers comfort so that they can relax and rest well.
Heh Heh, You Said "X": During a talk stream, he learns about the Indonesian word for 'ring', leading to him giggling at the translation. He later notes that the same thing applies when translating the word 'bowl' from Japanese to Indonesian as well.
Horned Humanoid: With one horn prominently sticking out on his left head. Although it looks like he's missing the other one, Oga confirms that he only has the one horn.
- From his summer outfit reveal, his horn can apparently change in color and shape, turning into an straight shaped one in icy blue, and his gamer outfits reveals another horn variant that changes colors.
Hot Springs Episode: The 'Oga in Spa' series consists of Oga sitting in an imaginary hot spring (along with sound effects of rushing water). They're usually late-night talk streams, though Oga once assembled two Gunpla models during this.
Huge Guy, Tiny Girl:
- The Huge Guy to Fubuki's Tiny Girl during their FOXDEMON collabs, with Fubuki being only about 155cm tall compared to Oga's 192cm. Not that you can tell since both their faces need to be in-frame, otherwise Fubuki's head would only go to Oga's torso. This same trope applies to Oga and Risu, more so since Risu is slightly shorter than Fubuki at 153cm; the height difference would be lampshaded when Oga made a surprise appearance in Risu's 3D showcase stream, with the former being well over two heads taller than the latter.
- Height comparisons with all members of Holopro all end with him at the very end as a result, with only Aruran, Kronii, Kaela, Sana and Coco being around his height (but still shorter). Thus nearly every girl is a Tiny Girl to Oga.
Hunk: In contrast to his Holostars colleagues, he's the most masculine-looking of them all and is quite handsome too. Helps that he's well-chiseled under those clothes.
Lovable Sex Maniac: Apart from his fetish preferences, he's occasionally talked about adult magazines and websites that he's visited, only to push the blame onto his viewers when conversations veer into that territory.
Mr. Fanservice: His appearance and deep voice aside, he also gets quite a few fanservice requests via his marshmallows. He also tends to tease his chat to fluster them as well.
- His default outfit already invokes this with a Navel-Deep Neckline, but his New Year's variant truly takes the cake with his shirt practically gone and a version that removes his sarashi for a very, very nice view of his six-pack.
  Oga: Will I be banned!? Aragami Oga might be number one in Hololive Productions in terms of revealing too much skin!?
- Ironically, during the Holostars Game King off-collab, he had expressed relief of no longer having his chest exposed.
- One stream, labelled as 'Cosleeping', opens with his Live2D lying sideways on a bed background, to the confusion of his viewers.^note After a while, he briefly switches to his loading screen, only to reveal that he had switched to his New Year's variant (which has the best view of his chest), along with adding an avatar of his fanbase.^noteA small, round rainbow-colored being
- More than 20 minutes of his 3D debut stream was dedicated to doing fanservice poses (while enabled by Shien).
- His summer attire, despite being the most covered he's been, still manages to swoon his viewers, as a mix between a cafe owner's outfit and that of a hitman or bodyguard. According to his artist, Onshi, the original plan was to have Oga's shirt unbuttoned, but decided against it after being worried about it getting banned on YouTube.
- Half of his birthday stream in 2022 was dedicated to absolute fanservice in 3D, from waking up next to him, shopping for cake, giving him a massage and being bathed by him.
Muscles Are Meaningful: His model has visible abs, muscles and pectorals, and if his kilometers-long walking and biking sessions are any indication, he also packs quite the punch in real life. He posted his Ring Fit Adventure score once, and was exceeding in every category. The fact that he got nerfed with all the weights in the Lobstars 3D fitness collab and was still able to keep up quite well is a telling sign that he would crush the other boys otherwise.
Navel-Deep Neckline: A rare male variation, his default outfit has his shirt unbuttoned all the way to the waist, giving viewers a nice view of his pecs. His New Year's outfit takes that to the next level.
New Powers as the Plot Demands: His so-called "demon power" can manifest in various form to catch up with the insanity that is 3D streams and stars*collection. So far, he has demonstrated teleportation, size enhancement, summoning objects, and electrokinesis.
The Night Owl: Oga tends to sleep at odd timings, which can result in his guerilla streams occurring at some rather ungodly times, such as hosting a talk stream (where he's at an onsen) at 6AM or a stream where he plays some rather interesting music using a hurdy gurdy.
- He once started a Story of Seasons stream at 12AM JST...and played it for 10 hours straight.
- Most of his streams also take place at night. An interview with UpStation has Oga mention that tries to make them relaxing so that his viewers can sleep well during or after the stream.
  Oga: (...) but if anyone has the time or can't sleep at night, I'd like you to give me a visit.
Ninja Maid: During his first collab stream with Fubuki, he was introduced as the Shirakami household's maid. She's utterly confused on why he isn't roleplaying a butler instead, but Oga insists on being addressed as her maid. It's never explained how or why Oga ended up in this position.
- Although this dynamic eventually relaxed in subsequent FOXDEMON streams, most of Fubuki's viewers still tend to address Oga as her maid, and he himself continues to call Fubuki 'ojou'.
Noodle Incident: Oga notes that his dislike of quail eggs was due to a trauma in his childhood, and later mentions that there was an incident where he had been stabbed by one. This is never elaborated on.
Poke the Poodle: Despite his somewhat intimidating appearance, Oga is one of the kindest people you'll meet, and often speaks kindly of his fellow Holopro members, based on his comments during his Hololive Chocolate card opening session.
Real Men Wear Pink: In a talk stream with Risu, Oga mentions that he, along with Shien, are fond of cute things. His hobbies also include watching animal videos, and he tends to tweet about them.
- He mentions during a chatting stream (while working) that his younger sister introduced shoujo manga to him when he was younger, and is why he enjoys them now.
- It's revealed that the reason why the Omaesans are represented the way they are (as humanoid rainbow blobs) is because he wanted everyone who watched him to feel included and to love him freely, regardless of race, gender or sexuality.
- He also loves strawberry daifuku, which his mother makes for him whenever he visits his family.
Really 700 Years Old: Oga claims that he is 5030 years old in demon years (30 in human years), although he admits that he stopped counting his age a long time ago, and only gave a specific number at the request of Shinove.
Scary Teeth: Sharp, shark-like teeth can be seen when he opens his mouth wide enough.
Sizeshifter: He can grow up to a whopping 200 meters (about 656 feet) tall at his full height.
Smoking Is Cool: Discussed. According to Oga, although they don't do it in real life (as well as condone it), he and Shien both find this trope quite appealing in fiction, especially in their fan art.
- One of the hand assets he created for himself has him holding a cigarette. He later adds in clarification that it's actually a lollipop stick.
Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Fits all three categories, on the account of being the tallest member in Holopro, all branches combined.
The Teetotaler: Oga admits to having a poor tolerance to alcohol, so he abstains from drinking. When he received some wine from a fan as a birthday present, he mentions that he'll use it for cooking instead.
Vocal Dissonance: Makes no effort to change his voice while playing "Oga-chan" for April Fool's Day 2023, resulting in his usual Baritone of Strength coming out of a busty woman instead. Hilarity Ensues.

ASMR Video: Not just any ASMR videos, but Beyblade ASMR videos. It was so memorable that it actually trended on Twitter in Japan for a period of time, and got noticed briefly by Takara Tommy, much to Kaoru's embarrassment. He once mused that the only kind of ASMR videos he could produce would be strange ones like that.
Color Motif: Pink, though compared to Rikka, his is a more intense shade compared to the former's lighter shade.
Cool and Unusual Punishment: Kaoru once hosted a stream where he removed body hair from several parts of his body, except that he was using a device that would make the process quite painful. Coco happened to drop by during the stream as well, much to his embarassment.
"Dinner, Bath, or Sex" Offer: One of his ASMR skits starts off as this...until he reaches the third option.
Kaoru: Do you want dinner? A bath? Or...Bey. Blade? 3, 2, 1, go shoot! (launches Beyblade)
Don't Call Me "Sir": During his visit to Roberu's bar, at the suggestion that Roberu addresses him as 'Tsukishita', Kaoru refuses, insisting that he address Kaoru by his first name. In general, although he's generally okay with however people call him, he feels distant when he's addressed formally.
Dude Looks Like a Lady: His avatar has long pink hair and a bow in his hair. If he wasn't listed as part of Holostars and didn't have such a deep voice, he could very easily pass off as a girl. This is lampshaded in his introduction, where he had wandered into the Hololive auditions by accident.
- Even when he's not cross-dressing, he still retains a rather Bishounen appearance.
Gender-Blender Name: His name, Kaoru, is considered a unisex name.
Gratuitous English: He fully admits that his English skills are very weak, and during his English-only collaboration with Iofi, Moona and Pikamee, added a label showing that his English level was only about N3.
Hidden Depths: He's very clear about the fact that he cross-dresses and uses makeup because he wants to. When asked about why he started cross-dressing, Kaoru likened it to a videogame with multiple routes, and that he simply wants to try different ones.
Kaoru: There's no rule that says that I can't do it.
In Touch with His Feminine Side: Apart from his distinctly feminine-looking appearance, Kaoru is open about his interest in make-up and skincare, dubbing himself as a trainee make-up artist. Part of his content includes discussions on the topic, not only with his viewers but other Vtubers as well.
Japanese Pronouns: Notably, Kaoru uses 'watashi' to address himself.
Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Averted. Although beautiful, his long hair is actually a wig, and his natural hair length goes to about the top of his neck.
Lovable Sex Maniac: During Kira's first anniversary stream, Kaoru came into the stream and flirted with him, saying that he wanted to kiss Kira's navel, among a few other remarks. This led to Kira's stream being banned, and Kaoru jokingly being told to apologize about it on Twitter.
Mistaken for Romance: Played for laughs, this is Kaoru's 'dark history' as revealed during Roberu's 'Dark History Collection' stream. According to Kaoru, after his crush told him that they liked chatting with him, he had mistakenly assumed that they were now dating, to the point that he changed their crush's mail address to '(name)love-love-forever'.
Rose-Haired Sweetie: He has light pink long hair and a kind, playful personality that appealed to many.
Serious Business: Played for laughs with Beyblade. During his introduction, viewers kept honing in on the fact that he wrote it down in his 'interests' section - he mentioned that he absolutely insisted on adding it despite Shinove telling him not to, to the point that he sort of forced it in anyway. Subsequently, he also held streams where he discusses about new Beyblade models.
Kaoru: This is—If I don't write this [down], it's the same as leaving my soul behind!
The Team Normal: Like Roberu, he's the odd one out of his generation due to lacking fantastical lore.
Vocal Dissonance: Despite his feminine-looking appearance, Kaoru possesses a rather deep, handsome voice.
Wholesome Crossdresser: Similar to Kira, his default appearance resembles that of a beautiful woman.
We Hardly Knew Ye: Just three months after his debut, Cover Corp announced (via twitter) the end of his contract due to personal circumstances on Kaoru's side. Tragically, this was abrupt news to all, and he was never able to host a farewell stream prior to this. Moreover, his archives were removed after his retirement, although there are still some clips of him available on YouTube, as well as archives saved other Vtubers where he appeared in collabs.
