    In General
  • Been There, Shaped History: Team 7 has been involved with arguably 6 separate regime changes at this point: Prevented leadership overthrow in the Lands of Birds and Moon, helped it in Water and Snow, and as for Leaf and Sand, helping to find Tsunade, and helped Gaara put on a show for an international crowd and reform him as canon.
  • The Dreaded: To the Mission Desk Ninja.
    • Gets to the point where any member of Team 7 who touches anything in their office has "cursed" that particular mission... if not all of them.
  • Ironic Nickname: Lucky Sevens, as coined by Tsunade in Chapter 65.
Tsunade: [groan] You three are like Lucky Sevens. When you turn up, I just know things are about to go to hell.
  • Making a Splash: The whole team learned the Hidden in the Mist Jutsu from Haku.
  • Shock and Awe: The whole team learned Striking Bolt and Radiating Shockwave from Kakashi in the Land of Waves Arc.
  • Summon Magic: All 4 of them have a summoning contract: Kakashi has dogs, Naruto toads, Sasuke hawks and Shikako deer.
  • True Companions: Moreso than in canon, as Shikako wants to bring the whole team closer together, and already knows how to do so.
  • Weirdness Magnet: C-rank level missions routinely end up A-rank or worse, S-Rank. This is what forms the backbone of Shikako's "ridiculous mission scores."

    Shikako Nara
The main character and an SI.
  • The Ace: Played with, she is easily one of the most dangerous people in her generation, rivaling Gaara, Naruto and Sasuke, but she's perceived as being much more dangerous than she is by some groups because everyone remembers the last seal master Konoha produced. At the same time she also vastly underestimates herself.
  • Almighty Janitor: To a certain extent. For a Genin, Shikako is rather well-regarded by the upper echelons of Konoha's ranks for her intelligence and deductive ability, such that she almost received a promotion to chunin after Tsunade's instatement thanks to her war efforts in the Sand-Sound Invasion and also her observations during the Finals.
    • Justified because she has a previous lifetime of knowledge about the world in which she now lives coupled with the naturally-gifted mind of a Nara, which makes her more mature, grounded and experienced. It's even later lampshaded by the Raikage in the Grass Chunin Exams.
  • Badass Bookworm: Shikako likes to read books, especially books that can help her get stronger.
  • Blessed with Suck: She's so sensitive to chakra she can sense seals, natural energy, life energy and track people through days-old jutsu remains. It also caused her significant breathing problems in childhood, prevented her from subconciously using chakra enhancement and might be causing her constant pain that she can no longer even notice.
  • Bodyguarding a Badass: Is Tsunade's bodyguard during Kiri Chunin Exams. Subverted, because everyone knows that it is Tsunade protecting her.
  • Braids of Action: She wears her hair in a single long braid to keep it out of the way, and she is among the most physically oriented of the Konoha kunoichi. Her braid also doubled as an Improvised Weapon once, when she uses it to choke an opponent into unconsciousness.
  • Brandishment Bluff: She will occasionally call out an attack that does not exist or use an extremely misleading name. For example, “Nara Art: The Shadow Devours” isn’t a shadow jutsu but merely a genjutsu. “Lightning Style: Super Beam Cannon” is used while holding the Sword of the Thunder God, but doesn’t exist at all.
  • Broken Ace: It becomes increasingly clear in later chapters that the constant stress, conflict, and her decisions are affecting Shikako heavily, with clear signs of PTSD showing every now and then in her thoughts and actions.
  • Brought Down to Badass: When Muku seals her chakra during their match, she manages to defeat him without using her chakra at all.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Shikako does this on three different occasions to date. In one case, the "hit point" part is only fully explained in sidestories.
    • Chapter 72 has this medical discussion (related to the Gelel arc):
A random medic: I was on shift then and she just walked right in. They didn't think she was seriously hurt until they went to take a reading and the chakra sensor started spitting out single digit readings.
    • Chapter 16 of sidestories, related to Chapter 98:
Kakashi: I don't think she knows how bad it was, but she had nothing left. She rescued herself, and then she had nothing left...
    • And now in Chapter 134, after using a seal powerful enough to blow half of the country:
Tsunade: Using life energy shortens your life.
  • Character Tics: Shikako occasionally does the thinking seal when she needs to think about something deeply.
  • Chekhov's Hobby: After Shikako befriends Ino, she gets the hobby of people watching from the latter. This ability to study and understand people, their relationships, and their personalities helps her later down the line when she needs to manipulate people, be they her family members, her friends, or her enemies.
  • Chekhov's Skill: Shikako mentions in Chapter 3 that she exercises without using chakra to enhance her muscles in order to increase her base strength, which would make her strength with chakra even higher. This comes in handy when she fights someone who can seal her chakra in the Grass Chunin Exams.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Shikako's the moral compass on her Team and will try to help people if she can. She's the reason Naruto has more friends from a younger age, and she's helped Sasuke open up to others as well. It frequently gets her in trouble, since she occasionally acts without thinking.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Shikako. She prefers to ambush her opponents or take them out with traps whenever possible. Also see the entry for Murder Is the Best Solution.
  • Cuddle Bug: When Shikako was younger, she would often cuddle up to Shikamaru for warmth and comfort.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Both on the giving (Netsui, unknown ANBU) and receiving end (Itachi, Orochimaru).
  • Deadpan Snarker: Mostly in her narration. Occasionally out loud.
  • Delicate and Sickly: Used to be this in her childhood, to the point her parents wanted to send her to civilian school. Shikako says that this is due to her feeling the "chakra in the air", which is actually natural energy.
I had exceptional control over my own chakra but it wasn't just the chakra in my body that I could sense. It was everywhere. It was in the air I breathed, the food I ate, like persistent smoke. It caused me to cough whenever I paid too much attention to it, further cementing my reputation as a sickly child. Whether it was natural chakra or chakra residue from jutsu or emitted from people I didn't know, and resolved not to mess with it until I understood more. The last thing I wanted was to become a stone statue.
  • Demolitions Expert: First learned how to seal by starting with explosive tags. By the finals of Konoha Chunin Exams, she's got the explosive seals down to a touch. She's of the opinion that if explosives can't solve your problems, you're not using enough of them.
    • She eventually becomes a sabotage specialist in ANBU.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Shikako only realizes that doing so well in the Academy would mean being put on Team 7 instead of Sakura as in canon after it is already too late to change it.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Shikako basically masterminds a revolutionary upgrade of the Logistics department via her seals (with help of Tenten) that leaves the department in chaos. Why? Somebody in Logistics called Shikamaru an idiot.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: "Shikabane-hime" which starts out as a bad joke and becomes her actual designation in Bingo books. It translates to Corpse Princess.
    • Also "Sparky" from Kankurō.
  • Emotionless Girl: She has an accident while practicing the Nara clan techniques that leaves her completely detached from everything, to the point where she can't even bring herself to care that it isn't her normal state of mind. She recovers after a few days though.
  • Fish out of Water: As she notes in Chapter 63, Shikako still feels like an outsider due to having previously grown up in a society indoctrinated by different values, particularly regarding the value of life.
I came from a world where everything that hurt people was bad. Everything was regulated, everything dangerous was minimised, even prisoners were kept safe and unharmed. There was no – or very little – 'they deserved it'. Here, it was different. Sometimes it was close enough that I missed the cultural difference, but sometimes it was so obvious. I'd learnt to live with it, it had crept into my thought processes until I barely even noticed, but sometimes… sometimes I felt so other.
  • Genre Savvy: In Chapter 113, Shikako makes sure her team is ready to spring into action, not because of her future knowledge (it's a filler) but because "if something's going to happen, this is the last chance".
  • Graceful Loser: Shikako learns to become this after repeatedly losing to her brother in shogi.
Tactics wise, he beat me at every turn. Oh, I made him work for it, but he beat me all the same. Games of Shogi turned into gruelling hour long contests of wills. It could have very easily lead to things getting nasty between us. I found, much to my chagrin, that I had become decidedly unused to losing. The anger and resentment, once I noticed them, made me distinctly uncomfortable with myself. They were not good emotions to be feeling. It was, after all, just a game. One that I was playing with my brother. It should have been fun.
I resolved very quickly that it was going to be. I was going to take a step back, I was going to breathe and I was going to calm the hell down. I wasn't going to get angry at loosing. I was going to see what he'd done better than me, and how I could use it. I was going to treat it as a lesson, not as a failure.
After all, I could still learn. I could still improve. I didn't want to be the kind of person that made everything a life or death issue. There was going to be enough of that soon enough.
  • Guile Heroine: Shikako tends to help her friends out by either leading them to conclusions that could help them out or points them in a direction that can have beneficial results. Examples include telling Sakura that she could become a medical-nin and teaching Naruto more about tactics. She also isn't above using lies, concealing the truth, or giving partial truths if she thinks it will be for a good reason.
  • Hammerspace: One of the first applications for seals that Shikako makes use of. Interestingly, she uses them on her own body frequently; sealing important, useful, or valuable items directly to her person.
  • The Heart: Shikako is the emotional center of Team Seven, and the one in the beginning to call for peace when Sasuke and Naruto sniped at each other.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Shikako has a case of this. For example, when Jiraiya asks her if she had compiled her notes on fuinjutsu in the few months since becoming a genin, she assumed he was criticizing her, when it's fairly clear he was impressed.
  • Humble Hero: Even though others don't hesitate to show how impressed they are with her accomplishments, Shikako doesn't let it get to her head.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: During the Gelel arc, and her first "death".
  • Imposed Handicap Training: Shikako takes inspiration from Rock Lee's weights and creates resistance seals on her limbs, making them harder to move similar to the weights. This leads to her becoming significantly faster even with the resistance seals active.
  • Indy Ploy: Unlike her brother, Shikako thinks on her feet and creates tactics on the fly as needed.
As a Nara, I was probably expected to know, right down to the number of steps, just what moves everyone would make. I didn't. That's me - the Nara without a plan.
  • Irony: When Shikako first thinks about fuinjutsu, she thinks to herself that she'd like to learn it, even if she most likely would never be able to do more than the basics. She later becomes a noted and skilled seal user, to the point that she helps revolutionize seals in Konoha and becomes feared by other nations for her abilities with it.
I noted it as an avenue I definitely wanted to explore. I very much doubted I would ever get to any sort of mastery of it - probably never more than the basics - but there was still a lure to it. If nothing else, storage scrolls would be handy.
  • It Gets Easier: Her first kills disturbed her. After working through the filler arc villains, she is disturbing other ninja.
  • Jack of All Trades: Unlike most ninja, Shikako has a wide range of abilities instead of specializing in a single area, which gives her considerable tactical flexibility.
    • Awesomeness by Analysis: Not to the same degree as Shikamaru, but she's pretty good at figuring out her enemies weaknesses and coming up with plans to exploit them.
    • Casting a Shadow: Her Nara clan techniques.
    • Dishing Out Dirt: Her element is earth, which she mostly uses to create defensive walls or tunnel underground.
    • Geometric Magic: Shikako makes frequent use of fuinjutsu.
    • Healing Hands: Knows how to use basic medical ninjutsu and Tsunade tells her to get further training.
    • Heroes Prefer Swords: She's learning kenjutsu in order to better use the Sword of the Thunder God in actual combat.
    • Living Shadow: She gains the ability to turn into shadows via her Gelel stone.
    • Making a Splash: In addition to the Hidden in the Mist Jutsu, Shikako knows how to turn water into a staff or whip to fight with, though she admittedly isn't very skilled with either.
    • Master of Illusion: She's decent at genjutsu, though she's more likely to disrupt a genjutsu that's been placed on her than use one in battle. As a result of her ability of easily differentiate her own chakra from someone else's, she's above average at doing this.
    • Scarily Competent Tracker: Her chakra sensitivity allows her to track people over large distances, including following jutsu leftovers.
I could sense the bodies of chakra that were other people, sense residue from leftover jutsu, point out chakra enhance traps and so forth. Anyplace that chakra had been used or anything that chakra had been used on was lit up like a beacon to my senses.
    • Shock and Awe: Knows a number of lightning release jutsu that she often augments with the Sword of the Thunder God.
    • Summon Magic: Acquires the Deer summoning contract.
    • Supernatural Sensitivity: Shikako can sense chakra, which helps detect ambushes, spot imposters, and gauge how strong her opponents are. She can even sense natural energy, something that astonishes Jiraiya. There is also some hints that this sensitivity causes her great pain, and that she is so used to it that she doesn't even realize she is in pain anymore.
Later on, that overdeveloped chakra sense would come in handy. I could sense the bodies of chakra that were other people, sense residue from leftover jutsu, point out chakra enhance traps and so forth. Anyplace that chakra had been used or anything that chakra had been used on was lit up like a beacon to my senses.
    • Super-Reflexes: Not emphasized much, but clearly present. During the Land of Moon Arc she senses something, turns around while drawing a kunai, realises a kid fired a toy arrow at her, puts away the kunai and snatches the arrow out of air. All in span of about two seconds.
    • Super-Speed: It's noted that Shikako has trained herself to become faster than the average ninja of her skill level, especially after removing her resistance seals.
    • Trap Master: If she has enough time, Shikako likes to set up traps, usually with her explosions. She killed two of the Sound genin with her traps.
  • Kleptomaniac Hero: Shikako has a worrying habit of looting anything and everything that might be of use to her down the line. This stems from knowing just how far she might need to go to survive to the end of the story.
    • Her trophies include the Sword of the Thunder God, the Book of Gelel and a Hiraishin Kunai.
  • Literal Split Personality: Following an accident with her shadow jutsu on a mission, she can split part of her consciousness, put it into her shadow, and have it act independently. Problem is she cannot access the memories and abilities in that part of herself, and it may have unknown long-term effects on her psyche.
  • Meaningful Name: Combined with Punny Name, sort of: Shikako could be written as 死歌稿, giving symbolic references to both Death and Writing (Undead Author), while also referencing her most lethal techniques, which are written symbols that kill people.
  • Mundane Utility: Uses the Infinite Pocket Seal Tenten invents for fiction books, her research notes and disposable coffee cups, and inks seals in her mouth to hold water and protein shakes.
  • Murder Is the Best Solution: Shikako kills the genin team from Sound because it was the least risky option available to her. This is a source of some guilt afterwards.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Her reaction following the Hot Springs Arc, since her actions destroyed a country and kickstarted an open war. This is despite knowing she had no other options.
  • Normally, I Would Be Dead Now: Shikako has clinically died for various reasons at least three times.
  • Original Character: While she started as a Self-Insert of SilverQueen, Word of God is that Shikako changed so much that she can be considered her own person.
  • The Paragon: Shikako is shaping up to be this, as she not only improves herself, but also inspires others into improving as well.
  • Past-Life Memories: She remembers her past life, including the fiction she read and watched—which conveniently includes knowledge of her current life's potential future.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Some of her seals are capable of remaking battlefields, faking earthquakes, leveling mountains, and completely destroying small nations. Even Gaara can't keep up with her in terms of pure scale.
  • Plagued by Nightmares: She sometimes has nightmares of the Kyuubi attack.
  • Power of Trust: With Gaara. In his own narration of their fight, he mentions that even after his turn-around almost everyone still completely freaks if he grabs them with his sand. Shikako trusts him enough to be completely engulfed in it and not be frightened at all. That level of faith means a lot to Gaara. She later successfully uses this with Isobu as well.
  • Properly Paranoid: Shikako is more aware of a lot of dark truths of the world than most people due to her metaknowledge. As such, she takes care to keep what she knows a secret at all costs.
  • Rank Up: Promoted to chunin during Grass Exams, to special jounin less than a week later, and then to full jounin a few months after Kiri Exams (which were a year after Grass).
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Played with. Shikako fakes this with her Transformation Technique: Ten Thousand Fists. She creates dozens of illusionary fists in order to obscure her real one.
  • Red Baron:
    • As a result of not holding back in taijutsu classes and subsequently kicking almost everyone else's asses, her classmates at the Academy gave her the nickname KO Shikako.
    • Shikabane-himenote . It starts out as a bit of Black Humor on Shikako's part, who thought of the Shiakbane part when referring to her repeated experience of nearly dying due to chakra exhaustion. Sakura then adds the -hime part while healing her after a spar with Yakumo. Then Ino uses it during the Grass Chunin Exams, and from there it finds its way into other countries' Bingo Books.
  • Shrinking Violet: Before and in the academy, Shikako would usually stay quiet and stay close to/behind her brother.
  • The Smart Girl: Shikako is the one who analyzes the situation and gives her teammates the info they need in a fight, be it their opponent's history and possible weaknesses, the terrain, etc.
  • Team Mom: She's the "mature one" and source of emotional support for her entire group of friends, not just her team. It ends up taking a toll on her, as she feels like she has to be there for the others even though she's under a lot of stress herself.
  • Trauma Button: She has a brief Freak Out after feeling the Kyuubi's chakra in the Land of Waves arc.
There was only darkness. I was small and helpless, lost and confused and alone and trapped in a body that would not, could not respond to my helpless panicked thoughts. I could hear a child, a baby, screaming but it wasn't me because I couldn't move, couldn't breathe couldn't do anything but lie still and hope we were hidden and please, please don't notice me…
  • Unreliable Narrator: Both due to not witnessing some events in the background and her Heroic Self-Deprecation.
  • Willfully Weak: While acting as a member of ANBU, since she needs to hold back on seals and shadow manipulation.
  • What Does She See in Him?: Non-romantic example with Ibiki. All the other special jounin and Intelligence Division members are confused/horrified at how well Shikako gets along with Ibiki when they see her willingly seek him out, share tea with him, banter, and laugh at his jokes.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Played for Laughs with Mr. Cranberry, Chiyako Aburame's pet tarantula. She has to steel her nerves not to show her fear of the little critter (and to not accidentally hurt Chiyako's feelings).

    Naruto Uzumaki
The jinchuriki of the Kyuubi.
  • Adaptational Badass: Thanks to Shikako's influence, Naruto knows more jutsu, strategizes more often in combat, and makes much more use of summoning toads.
  • Bash Brothers: With Sasuke. Even after their secondary transformations, which give them new strengths and abilities, the two are still able to work in tandem.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Naruto's fight with Neji in the Chunin exams. Neji never even touches the real Naruto.
  • Determinator: When Naruto sets a goal for himself, he won't stop until he reaches it.
  • Dumbass No More: He's only a little more powerful than in canon, but his tactics improve considerably, mostly due to Shikako teaching him how to strategize effectively. This earns him a promotion to chunin.
  • The Glomp: Looks like he wanted to do this to Shikako when it was announced they would be on the same team.
  • Healing Factor: Has one, which helps him instantly heal minor injuries and recover quickly from major ones.
  • Hot-Blooded: Naruto is one of the most passionate people in the series.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: He thankfully heals from it, but this gives everyone a giant scare when Kimimaro stabbed him in the chest.
  • Large Ham: Naruto is very boisterous and tends to shout a lot.
  • No Social Skills: Justified. Due to the fact that most people didn't want to interact with him for most of his life, he never properly learned what is socially acceptable for most people, leading him to act rude, annoying, or insensitive at times. Thankfully, he has people close to him now, like Iruka and Shikako, to help him out with this.
  • Put on a Bus: Leaves Konoha with Jiraiya.
  • Rank Up: Promoted to chunin after the Konoha Exams.
  • Summon Magic: As in canon, he can summon toads. Thanks to Shikako helping him out in improving his summoning abilities, he uses them a lot more than in canon.
  • Supernatural Sensitivity: Senses that Shikako is in danger when she's confronting Jashin.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Naruto's started utilizing strategy better than his canon counterpart due to Shikako's teachings. This makes him a much more formidable ninja.

    Sasuke Uchiha
The "Last of the Uchiha" and brother of Itachi.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Zig-zagged. He's happier thanks to having healthier relationships with his teammates and peers, but he still has the trauma that Itachi inflicted upon him. This trauma only worsens after learning of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Thanks to Shiakako's influence, Sasuke is much less abrasive than in canon.
  • Bash Brothers: With Naruto. Even after their secondary transformations, which give them new strengths and abilities, the two are still able to work in tandem.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Tries to do this against Itachi.
  • Bodyguarding a Badass: Twice.
    • Tsunade orders him to guard Shikako during her recovery from Jashin's ritual.
    • He's Tsunade's bodyguard during Kiri Chunin Exams. Subverted, because everyone knows that it is Tsunade protecting him.
  • Character Development: Trusts his team with the secrets of the Uchiha Clan and makes jokes more than in canon.
  • Cool Sword: Kakashi presents him with the Hakkō Chakura Tō after he is promoted to Chunin.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Makes jokes about Team 7's mission luck and his teammates' antics.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Has this tendency.
    • As per canon, his attempt to confront Itachi.
    • He tried to surprise Shikako using his new stealth training and nearly got murdered when she mistakes him for Itachi due to her PTSD triggering.
  • Drunk on the Dark Side: Accidently attacks Ino when infected by the curse mark.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Averted. He stays in Konoha.
  • Freak Out: He turns white as a ghost when he learns about the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan before going off to destroy some things to get some catharsis.
  • The Leader: He becomes an ANBU captain.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Tried to attack Ino while under the influence of the cursed mark. Ends up punching Shikako in the ribs when she went to shield Ino.
  • Playing with Fire: Uses various fire release jutsu from clan. He also created his own: Chidori: Fire Style Variant.
  • Rank Up: Promoted to chunin during the Grass Exams, then to jounin a few months after the Kiri Exams. Even before he became jounin, he was also made a member of ANBU and was raised to ANBU captain.
  • Seen It All: Acquires this attitude when it comes to Shikako's... ideas and antics. Her plan to steal a river is merely met with a demand to elaborate on details.
  • Shock and Awe: Kakashi taught him Chidori and he presumably has other techniques.
  • Summon Magic: He signs a Hawk contract.

    Kakashi Hatake
The legendary Copy Ninja and jounin of Team Seven.
  • Bodyguarding a Badass: Accompanies Tsunade to the Grass Chunin Exams, as her bodyguard.
  • Broken Ace: Kakashi is one of the most powerful ninja in Konoha, and has both the strength and notoriety to be a candidate to be Hokage. He also lost both of his parents and his team at a young age, filling him with an intense sense of self-loathing and almost turning him into a Death Seeker.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Like in canon, and an explanation as to why he can get away with it.
  • I Need to Go Iron My Dog: Kakashi is fond of giving lame excuses for why he's late.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Frequently with his late excuses.
  • It's All My Fault: When it comes to actual emergencies though such as the incident where Shikako is nearly kidnapped in Hidden Grass and almost dies, it's clear that Kakashi feels immensely guilty for what he sees as letting her down when she was trusting him to keep her safe.
  • Mundane Utility: In Chapter 14, Kakashi uses the incredibly powerful Water Dragon Jutsu... to have a water fight with his students.
  • Never My Fault: Tsunade claims he does this often, though even she`s surprised when he offloads blame to Zabuza. Averted in serious situations.
  • Papa Wolf : Act like this with his students.
  • Shock and Awe: In addition to the Chidori, he knows several other Lightning Release jutsu. Some of which he teaches to his students.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Kakashi invokes this, as people unaware of his reputation are surprised that he's so strong and famous.
Kakashi looked… harmless. A bit silly, a bit eccentric, like a harmless old man. I caught myself writing him off as no threat. I was impressed. I knew that he was one of the best ninja in Konoha, that he had the Sharingan and would unlock the Magenkyo. I knew he had made Jounin at thirteen, which is impressive any way you look at it. And I still nearly wrote him off as harmless.

Kakashi - Kakashi-sensei, I suppose - had made Genin at five, Chunin at six and Jounin at thirteen. He was the son of Sakumo Hatake, the White Fang of Konoha, and taught by the Fourth Hokage himself. He had the Sharingan eye and was known as the Copy-Nin for his prowess at using it to copy ninjutsu. He was part of ANBU for anywhere between five and ten years, and Captain rank for probably at least half that. He had a lightning element affinity, though could use all five to great effect (which alone made him extremely dangerous) and invented the Chidori/Raikiri and in his hands it was ranked an S-rank One Hit Kill technique.
All this, I knew. And looking at the man standing in the doorway, I could see no trace of it. Not in his stance, not in his eye, not in his chakra. It was almost like it was a completely different person.
    Oh, he is good.
  • Summon Magic: Kakashi can summon his ninken to either help him in battle, act as guards, or help him in tracking.
  • Supernatural Sensitivity: His Sharingan hurts when Shikako is confronting Jashin.
  • There's No Kill like Overkill: Summons every one of his dogs to guard Shikako after she almost got kidnapped. And then asks Gai to leave a turtle, too.
  • Troll: Kakashi is often late and likes giving stupid excuses for being late.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: His increasing hospital visits due to chakra exhaustion caused Sharingan draining more chakra from him then he can produce. Tsunade estimates he has at most 6 months left. It's later revealed that the cause was his Sharingan trying to evolve into its Mangekyo form and once they devise a way to complete the transition, it's now no longer an issue.
