Reichists

Standing out among the villains/supervillains from the Second Age, the Reichists are collectively reviled as some of the most despicable individuals on Tellus for their roles in instigating a global war and killing millions (and worse) in genocides against those they deem inferior in the name of racial supremacy and purity. In many ways, they represent the ultimate antithesis to everything the heroes and nations of the Second Age stand for and leaving a destructive legacy which would echo well into later Ages - notably with the Tribalists and Autorists who would take up their mantle in the Fourth Age.

Reichist Germaney (Officially the 'Greater Germane Reich')

    open/close all folders

    In General
  • Capital Offensive: Taking Bearlin, the capital of Reichist Germaney, is a critical objective of both the Allied Powers of the West and the Communist International from the East in order to bring an end to the Reichist menace. When Herrenvolk took over and prolonged/worsened the war such that this became too difficult/time-consuming, the Allied Powers nuked it instead.
  • Civil War: Lore implies no less than two brief civil conflicts broke out during (and contributing to) the rise and fall of Reichist Germaney. The 'First Germane Civil War' in 1931-2 is implied to have somehow helped sweep them into power. A second one in 1944 broke out between squabbling factions of Reichist leadership following the incapacitation of the Reichsfuhrer in the Codexverse's version of the 20 July Plot, which ended with Herrenvolk seizing power in a coup after getting sick of his own country's leadership bickering even while the Allied Powers are at the gates of Germaney.
  • Evil Reactionary: While 'revolutionary' in terms of character in their rise to power and self-perception, their social and cultural beliefs make them as reactionary as they come.
  • Expy: Of Nazi Germany, one of the leading members of the Axis Powers and a horrible genocidal totalitarian regime obsessed with vengeance, empire and racial purity/supremacy.
  • Foregone Conclusion: Significant economic/industrial and military disparity from the start aside, by 1944 Reichist Germaney had become so damaged from constant Allied aerial bombing, so exhausted in manepower and resources from years of total war, so overstretched from invasion from both West and East, and so outnumbered, outspent, out-produced, out-gunned, out-researched and outclassed in almost every way fighting no less than three superpowers which far surpass them demographically, economically, technologically and militarily now fully-geared and mobilized for conflict there was no conceivable way they or the rest of the Axis Powers could had turn things around and win the war. Even when the Reichsfuhrer went out-of-commissioned from a bomb plot and Herrenvolk took over to run the Reichist war effort better, by that point all it did was delaying the inevitable.
  • Ghostapo: Despite the efforts of Custodes Magicum and Interregnum, Reichist Germaney also dabbled as much with the occult and supernatural as they did advanced science and technology under their occultic research division. The fruits of their labours/follies include raising the Known History incarnation of Böser Anführer, Sapientkind's Shadow who provided a lot of assistance from the background, and also Herrenvolk, the metamagnetically-incarnated embodiment of Reichism itself.
  • Hitler's Time Travel Exemption Act: Deconstructed, Subverted and flat-out mocked under Take That!.
  • Irony: The Reichists presented themselves to Germaney as its salvation and promised to bring it back to its former glory while having their revenge on all the nations which wronged them. Instead, they turned out to be the worst thing that happened to Germaney in the Second Age as their wars and genocide led to them being bombed, invaded and nuked by the Allies and the Comintern, leaving the once proud nation in utter ruin and ignominy to the point of even effectively ceasing to exist as it was occupied and divided up into lesser states for many decades afterwards.
  • In Spite of a Nail:
    • It is heavily hinted that the Reichists, while strongly resembling the Nazis in their beliefs, are not Captain Ersatz of the Codexverse Nazis themselves, merely another political movement with similar extreme Far-Right beliefs which nevertheless still rose to power in Germaney, created a genocidal imperialistic totalitarian dictatorship and was hell-bent on national revenge, world supremacy and racial purity.
    • Despite drastic Alternate History divergences between the Second World War in RL and the Second Great War in the Codexverse, Reichist Germaney and the Axis Powers still ultimately lost to the Allied Powers and the Comintern, as not only were they exhausted from years of total war by the time they were defeated, they were so outgunned, outnumbered, outproduced and outclassed in every way fighting no less than three of the world's greatest military/economic/technological superpowers once they mobilized all their manepower and resources for their war efforts that the Reichists, like the Nazis, ultimately stood little to no chance of winning.
    • The Hooviets still managed to be the one to take Bearlin, raising their flag on the Reichstag in the the capital of a defeated Reichist Germaney. The only differences were that they did so months later then they could had due to much greater resistance from the Reichists under Herrenvolk's leadership, and the Reichstag - along with most of the city - have been reduced to irradiated and burnt-out ruins from the Allies' atomic bombings of Germaney in order to finally end the war.
  • The Leader: Of the Axis Powers during the Second Great War.
  • Nuke 'em: On the receiving end of no less than five atomic bombings towards the end of the Second Great War (their last remaining ally Imperial Neighpon got seven on the other side of Tellus) after Herrenvolk as interim fuhrer of Reichist Germaney prolonged the war and worsened it to the point the Allied Powers were willing to glass all of it to finally end the Reichist menace.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Their flag certainly give them this vibe, with the addition of Gold.
  • Rule of Symbolism: According to the background behind the flag design for the Reichist Germaney, the black covering most of it represents Germane people being surrounded and menaced from all sides by hostile forces and powers which sought to corrupt and destroy them, and the red of the center bands represents the blood of the Germane people and their willingness to both shed blood - both their own and their enemies - to protect Germaney, have their national revenge, and take their race and country to world supremacy. The gold surrounding the red bands and shining from the center around the Reichist emblem represents both the greatness of Reichist ideology and their racial superiority, protecting German people's purity from 'corruption' and their nation from destruction while taking them out of the darkness to restore Germaney to glory. The black Reichist emblem is a stylised variant of the ancient Mareropean pagan 'Sun Cross' which the Reichists coopted as it represents both revitalizing warmth and scorching power, which aligns with their ideology's goals of national renewal and revenge, although it is speculated by others given their dabbling with the occult it may serve more than just a fancy symbol.
  • Stupid Jetpack Hitler: Reichist Germaney formed their own Metabeing super-teams such as the Herrenhelden to compete with the other nations' own and to facilitate their wars of conquest, and is implied to have dabbled with a lot of other advanced technologies and Wunderwaffe, both their own and also. Once Herrenvolk took over Reichist Germaney, the cutting of a lot of red-tape and purge of squabbling generals allowed for many more superweapon projects to proceed and deployed with varying levels of effectiveness (and catastrophe) as Reichist Germaney becomes desperate for any edge against the encrouching forces of the Allied Powers and the Comintern. Mentions are made of military Humongous Mecha size of houses, an Expy of the Nova-6 nerve agent from Call Of Duty: Black Ops, Black Sun energy weapons from ancient Thule, just to name a few.
  • Take That!: Given the Reichists are implied to not be Codexverse's Captain Ersatz of Nazis, just like the Reichsfuhrer Reichist Germaney is essentially this trope to the idea removing Hitler and the Nazis from the equation would had prevented another World War and the Holocaust. As lampshaded by Böser Anführer, Sapientkind's Shadow himself and noted by many historians in-universe, it would quite literally make no difference. Like in the real world, the twisted racialist, reactionary, nationalist, imperialist and militarist ideologies which the Reichists espoused were, in reality, already present across Marerope well before the Second Great War, a product of ideologies and socio-cultural worldviews which proliferated in the 19th Century even in liberal-democratic western countries. Germaney was no different, even if some of these views and feelings were more pronounced there due to their own culture and history: The the bitterness and grievances over the national defeat and humiliation from the First Great War merely exasperated those sentiments to irrational extremes, and combined with economic collapse and political turmoil encouraging ideological extremism it all eventually gave rise to the Reichists with their ultranationalist, populist and revanchist stances. In the end, the Reichsfuhrer and his National Sovereign Germane Reich Party rose to power and started their wars and genocides not by themselves, but because enough of the Germane people believed and supported them to enable their their madness - a madness which is merely what Germaney, Marerope and the Western world used to justify their colonialism in Neighsha, Zebrica, the Amarericas, Oceania and other places and their atrocities against natives and any of those they deemed 'inferior' for centuries, taken to their logical, extreme conclusion and enacted upon Mareopeans themselves. The Reichsfuhrer did not create Reichist Germaney: Germaney - if not the entirety of the Mareropean history and society - created Reichist Germaney.
Böser Anführer: Always pointing fingers at the Reichists. You really think that if you were to somehow go back in time and stop the Reichists, everything would be okay? HAHAHAHA! Don't make me laugh! Mareope was full of all the things they propagated. They were nothing more than the mentality of the time taken to its logical extreme. If it hadn't been them, rest assured, it would have been someone. If it were just them, why would they have found multiple allies? If you removed them from time, all you would find is those thoughts would have overflowed and someone else will take their place!
  • Those Wacky Nazis: They essentially stand for Nazi Germany in RL, though it's implied that while they share many of the same revanchist, militaristic, imperialistic and racialist beliefs, they are not the actual counterparts to the Codexverse Nazis. This is partly Truth in Television as there are many similar far-right and racialist parties, groups and factions similar to the Nazis which co-existed with them and later joined the Nazis as they become successful and popular.
  • Villainous Legacy: The horrors perpetrated by Reichism and the ignominy Reichist Germaney left behind in the Codexverse was such that even in the Fourth Age, tens of thousands of years after Reichist Germaney fell and the Second Great War ended, the kingdoms and civilizations which succeeded old Germaney consider its time and existence a vile episode and stain which they must walk away from.

    The Reichsfuhrer

  • Expy: Though it is heavily implied he isn't a Ponified Captain Ersatz of Adolf Hitler, he very much serves as an expy as crazy, fanatical and hateful as he is who went on to become dictator of Germaney and started a global war.
  • Point of Divergence:
    • The equal of Hitler might not actually be him, even if he's comparable in terms of sheer evil.
    • The 20 July Plot succeeded in this reality. While it's ambiguous if he actually died, it still took him out of commission for the rest of the war...and allowed Herrenvolk, another nail, to take command.
  • No Name Given: The identity of the Reichsfuhrer of Reichist Germaney had yet to be revealed, though it is heavily implied to be not the Codexverse's Expy of Adolf Hitler. Every time he comes up in an entry, he's only addressed by his title or the name itself is [REDACTED].
  • Take That!: As mentioned, since he is implied to not be Codexverse's version of Adolf Hitler, he is essentially this trope to the idea removing Hitler and the Nazis from the equation would had prevented another World War and the Holocaust. In the Codexverse, it quite literally made no difference, and his rise is portrayed as less his evil ambition at work and more the culmination of Western history, as everything horrible about it - centuries worth of rampant racialism, militarism, nationalism and imperialism - stuffed into one totalitarian package and brought upon the Mareropeans and the West themselves.
  • Those Wacky Nazis: He was the leader of Reichist Germaney, though, while every bit the monster, he might not actually be a counterpart to Hitler himself.
  • You Cloned Hitler!:
    • Whether or not he's actually is an expy of Hitler or not, he was still the leader of Reichist Germaney and filled the same role in history. He's also been cloned multiple times throughout history, including once where his DNA was spliced with a starfish.
    • It's noted that unlike many examples, not all of the clones turned out to be anything like the original. Peinture, the Portrait of Potential adopted a clone of him, as the clone merely wanted to be an artist and didn't want anything to do with his genetic doner.

Herrenhelden/Uberreich

    In General
  • 0% Approval Rating: Many other super-villain independents, groups and factions either don't like them or flat-out hate them on principle, and either wanted nothing to do with them or actively trying to destroy them if they have a chance. Justified since the Uberreich are made up of Reichists, who like their real life inspirations are a bunch of genocidal racial supremacists who likely participated or at least supported with the Codexverse's version of the Holocaust.
    • The Headmistress, a super-villain working for Overmare whose specialty is (sadistically but also professionally) train prospective supervillain and minion recruits into loyal and useful subordinates on her and other super-villains' behalf, had Uberreich on her blacklist of clients owing to the fact that Overmare, herself born a congenital invalid belonging to a minority whose country was occupied/controlled by a Pro-Reichist regime during the Second Great War - fitting the Reichist definition of an 'Unterpferd' to a tee - absolutely hated them with a passion, and would definitely not approve of her helping them train minions. And since many other supervillains factions wanted nothing to do with anything remotely associated with them, having them as clients would be bad for her image and work.
  • Hypocrite: The Reichists wanted to create the perfect soldier and mascot who embodied the 'good' aspects of their philosophy, and would help them achieve their goals of ensuring dominance and racial 'purity' all over Tellus. In doing so, they ended up creating someone who is the complete opposite of what they wanted: Herrenvolk, a magical Humanoid Abomination made of hatred who can only superficially appear as an Earth Pony and has none of the 'pure' genes the Reichists wanted. Shadow Sentinel I and Metamare pointing this out is what led to Herrenvolk suffering an epic Villainous Breakdown and exploding.
  • Legion of Doom: A meta-criminal organization composed of Reichist super-villains dedicated to preserving Reichism and one day Take Over the World where Reichist Germaney failed.
  • Meaningful Name: Their group name translates to "supreme realm of the Emperor" in German, which sums up the Uberreich's goals: To conquer Tellus and establish a regime where the Reichists are rulers of the world and all racial 'impurities' are eliminated.
  • The Psycho Rangers: Many members of the Herrenholden in the early to mid 1940s had abilities and personalities that made them logical counters to the founding Paragons, including among others:
    • Kaiserin, the most powerful of the group (as well as its leader and, ironically, its Token Good Teammate) was the counter to Metamare
    • Eisenkampfer (a soldier using Powered Armor) and Doctor Kabuto (a mad scientist who created the methods of given most of the Herrenholden their super-powers AND had himself transformed into a powerful cyborg) were BOTH counters to Doctor Silversmith
    • Blitzkrieg (an elite Reichist soldier who was granted high-level super-speed and electrical powers) was the counter (and wartime Arch-Enemy) to Trailblazer I
    • Terrorgeist (a master tactician and martial arts expert with quite a few gadgets) was the counter to Shadow Sentinel I
    • The Archmage (an extremely high-level awakened Unicorn with magic power limited only by his willpower and imagination) served as the counter (and Arch-Enemy) to Paradyne I
    • Panzerpferd (a Reichist soldier who was granted pretty respectable degrees of Super-Strength and Super-Toughness - to the point that he was the third-strongest and toughest of the group behind only Kaiserin and Herrenvolk - as well as the ability to fire potent blasts of concussive energy from his forehooves), Sturmtruppler (a female Reichist Warrior who had her strength, speed, agility, durability and stamina increased to super-equine levels AND gained the power to control the weather within her immediate area) AND Walkure (another female warrior who gained super-equine strength, speed, agility, durability and stamina as well as the ability to emit potent sonic blasts from her vocal cords AND had a special spear allowing her to raise and command the dead within her immediate area) ALL acted as counters to Battle Prince.
  • Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: It is mentioned that the Herrenhelden when brought together was fractious, dysfunctional and insubordinate due to the villainous nature of many of its members, and it was only through force of power/personality, charisma and effective leadership of Kaiserin and later Herrenvolk that held them together, disciplined them and turned them into a reasonably effective fighting force.
  • The Remnant: A large number of Uberreich is made up of members of the Herrenhelden, Reichist Germaney's Meta-being taskforce/organization, who had survived and evaded capture at the end of the Second Great War and regrouped to found Uberreich as a way of continuing the struggle underground.
  • Super Supremacist: On top of being super-villains with super-powers, they also believe themselves to be the Master Race as per Reichist ideology.
  • Those Wacky Nazis: Both Herrenhelden and Uberreich are organizations of Reichist supervillains, established before and after the Second Great War respectively, with the latter being founded by those who survived the conflict and capture and went underground.

    Endsieg (Final Victory)
  • Alike and Antithetical Adversaries: Fitting since they are archenemies, he's represents the Reichist's and their twisted ideals while Pony Patriot represents the allies and their altruism.
  • Arch-Enemy: Of Pony Patriot, Codexverse Captain Ersatz of Captain America, meaning that Endsieg most likely resembles Red Skull or some of Captain America and his approximates' arch-enemies. When resurrected in the Fourth Age, he transfers this to Shining Armor, who has inherited Pony Patriot's shield and image.
  • Berserk Button:
    • His archenemy Pony Patriot is one for him. He despises the fact that when he returned in the Fourth Age, it's his Arch-Enemy that's well remembered and revered while he himself is forgotten except as a 'bad memory. Shining Armour, the latest inheritor of the Pony Patriot shield and legacy, wasted no time rubbing it in his face and sending him flying into a murderous, reckless rage that left him vulnerable to be defeated.
  • Back from the Dead: He's resurrected by Mistletoe Dreamer in the Fourth Age as part of her history-spanning Legion of Doom.
  • Captain Patriotic: Naturally, he is one for the Reichists. Notably he also represents a Deconstruction of the concept by showing just how monstrous, dangerous and self-contradictory a living metamagnetic avatar of a racial-supremacist totalitarian ideology would be.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He might be a fanatical Reichist, but even he thinks Sturmbannführer and his desire for a Forever War are nuts.
  • Meaningful Name: Endsieg is German for 'Final Victory', which is exactly what he encapsulates as a concept: that one day, no matter how long it takes, Reichism will rise again and triumph.
  • Our Founder: A co-founder of Uberreich and likely one of its leaders.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: A canonized drabble mentions that, while a genocidal racist who despises every creature that's not part of his own tribe, he's pragmatic enough to set his hatred and bigotry aside in the short term and work with other tribes or species to benefit his goals if need be, such as the Dark Ages Alliance, whose members include an Frost Lich Yak conqueror, Earth Ponies, a human witch, a ram God of Dark Magic, a centaur, a Changeling Queen, and a skunk, among others.
  • Super-Soldier: The Reichist equivalent to Pony Patriot.

Baron Blutmond, the Ceaseless Conqueror/Broken Fang
See his folder entry here.

    Blitzkrieg (Lightning War)

    Eisenkampfer (Iron Fighter)
  • Powered Armor: Given advanced armor by the Reichists to combat the allies.

    Herrenvolk, the Spirit of Reichism

Character: Villainous

Alignment: Lawful Evil

Type: Anthropomorphic Embodiment, Magical Being, Reichist, Mass-Murderer, Meta-Being

Faction: Reichist Germaney, the National Sovereign Germane Reich Party, Herrenhelden, Uberreich, Autorists

"I am our cause. I am everything our Reich desires and embodies, distilled into a single vessel! I am the will of the glorious fatherland made flesh! I AM our ideology!"

Herrenvolk (His entry here) is a member of the Herrenhelden and later its successor Uberreich, and one of the strongest metabeings serving Reichist Germaney during the Second Great War. While appearance-wise he resembles a Pony of the 'Master Race' as idealized by the Reichists, in reality he was something far worse: created through occultic means by the Reichists' occult organizations, he is in actuality a living Magical/Metamagnetic embodiment of Reichism itself. Unable to die so long as somepony somewhere believes in Reichism or something similar, Herrenvolk would become a feared symbol of those who once sought to turn Tellus into a graveyard in the name of their twisted genocidal dogma, although his very nature would prove to be a curse as much as a blessing for not only the Reichists but even himself.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: Was created as this for Reichism via occultic means.
  • As Long as There Is Evil: So long as Reichism exists, so will Herrenvolk, though he would weaken the less people believe in those ideologies.
  • Ax-Crazy: Being the living embodiment of Reichism, he is exactly as horrible as the Reichists were at their worst: a sadistic, tyrannical, mass-murdering fanatic with superpowers who gleefully indulged in all the war crimes and racial cleansings the Reichists had and intended to carry out. He was such a perfect embodiment with his fanatical devotion to the cause, in fact, even the Reichist leaders themselves began to fear what happens if he finds them 'imperfect' by even their own standards. This fear became realized.
    • His return in the Fourth Age made his Ax-Crazy tendencies even worse: in contrast to the predominant Reichism of the Second Age, the Tribalists and Autorists of the Fourth Age are even more diverse and divided in both ideology and even races. This caused him, as an embodiment of everything they believe in, to Come Back Wrong as a splintered, unstable and psychotic mess which a similarly returned Endsieg could barely control, constantly swinging back and forth between the different races and ideologies of the Tribalists and Autorists in both form and beliefs and going utterly insane in the process.
  • Beware the Superman: Being the living incarnation of Reichist ideology, he supported and executed Reichist Germaney's wars and genocide with enthusiastic zeal, to the point even the Reichist leadership began to fear that he might even be compelled to turn against them if they fail the Reichist cause or standards which Herrenvolk embodies, especially given he is the second-strongest being among the Metabeings of the Herrenhelden and is powerful enough to fight Metamare herself. This fear became realized when their own internal check against him in case he goes rogue, Kaiserin, was finally defeated by Metamare and captured in 1944, and then the Reichsfuhrer himself was incapacitated by an assassination plot (part of a failed coup) which left his inner circle squabbling amongst themselves to replace him. Herrenvolk became so frustrated by their bickering and weakening of the Reichist state from it even as their enemies are at the gates, he eventually rallied many of his fellow Herrenhelden, the Germane military and internal security forces to launch his own coup which deposed them, all to save the Reichist cause by removing the very ones leading it and making himself leader of Reichist Germaney.
Ponyland General: [After hearing the news] To quote an author: do not call up that which you cannot put down.
  • Came Back Wrong: He resurrects in the Fourth Age thanks to the Autorists...but due to there being multiple groups with contradicting species and philosophies, he's effectively stretched between all of them at once. This causes him to go completely insane and develop a split personality.
  • Captain Ersatz: He's based off Captain Nazi, only taken to his logical extreme.
  • Deconstruction: He is one for Captain Nazi, as well as the general idea of a 'Nazi version of Superman.' Like Captain Nazi, he's the Anthropomorphic Personification of Nazism/Reichism...but unlike him, exactly what that means is explored. Being the embodiment of such an ideology makes Herrenvolk a mass murdering, sadistic, hate driven monster who will gladly murder countless creatures in the pursuit of racial purity and superiority. He also shows just how utterly terrifying someone on par with Superman (or rather, Metamare) would actually be if they were fully on board with the Nazi ideology.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Between his defeat by Metamare and Shadow Sentinel, the fall of Reichist Germaney and the realization that he, despite being the incarnation of everything Reichism represents, contradicts everything the ideology stood for merely by his very unnatural, 'subequine' existence, Herrenvolk would suffer a Villainous BSoD which he never recovers from. While he would reform and join Uberreich, he was filled with such self-loathing and sense of inferiority he would never take a leadership role in the Reichist movement again, instead letting other Reichist supervillains like Endsieg take the reins.
  • Enraged by Idiocy: Herrenvolk was so frustrated by the self-destructive power struggles/civil war within the Reichist leadership following the Reichsfuhrer's incapacitation in the '20th July Plot', even as the Allies close in on them, he eventually rallied elements of his fellow Herrenhelden, the Reichists' army and internal security forces to launch a coup against them - thus fulfilling the fears among the Reichist leadership themselves that the monster they created for the cause would eventually turn against them when they themselves fail it.
  • Evil Is Not a Toy: The Reichists created him as a Super-Soldier and living personification of their ideology...but even they underestimated how dangerous and evil their own ideology was, and soon came to fear they couldn't control him if he decides his superiors are 'impure' or 'unworthy.' They were right.
  • Final Boss: For the Allied Powers and the Comintern once he took the reins of Reichist Germaney in a coup following the incapacitation of the Reichsfuhrer in the '20th July Plot'. Under his leadership he notably managed to worsen and lengthen the war on the Mareopean Front, to the point that the Allied Powers eventually resorted to nuking Germaney like they did Neighpon just to finally break Germane resistance. His defeat and (temporary) destruction by Metamare and Shadow Sentinel after the atomic bombing of Bearlin effectively ended the war, with the Allied Powers and the Hooviets overrunning Germaney's crumbling resistance and resolve soon afterwards.
  • Flying Brick: Has this power-set as well as storm and lightning powers.
  • Ghostapo: Herrenvolk was the product of the Reichists government occultic divisions' efforts, succeeding in spite of being hampered by various conspiracies such as Interregnum and Custodes Magicum doing everything they could to sabotage and deny the Reichists' efforts to attain mastery over magic.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Herrenvolk's leadership of Reichist Germaney in the final stretch of the Second Great War prolonged and worsened the conflict so much the Allied Powers resorted to nuking Germaney no less than five times (with seven more bombs on the way) to finally break Germane resistance. The Allied leadership had by that point no reservations about glassing all of Germaney if that was what it takes to end the war.
  • How the Mighty Have Fallen: He was originally one of Reichist Germaney's highest ranking super soldiers, then became their leader and the Final Boss of Great War II...then the Breaking Lecture received from Metamare and Shadow Sentinel permanently broke his resolve to lead the Reichist cause, leaving him saddled with extreme self-loathing issues and doubt that weakened him. While still a major threat, the decline of the Reichist ideology weakened him until he's nothing more than a hallow shade of his former self. While the Fourth Age allowed him to revive, the varying ideologies and factions ultimately drove him completely insane.
  • Humanoid Abomination: He is Reichism in Pony form, and cannot be killed by normal means. Partial destruction of his body at one point revealed he is composed of coagulated baleful metamagnetic energy behind the veneer of super-equine flesh and the uniform.
  • Irony:
    • Herrenvolk was meant to incarnate Reichism in Pony form and help bring Reichist Germaney and their 'master race' to world supremacy, and was dedicated even to the point he would take over from the Reichist leaders when they failed their own standards to save the cause. Yet his leadership of Reichist Germaney in the final stretch of the 'Second Great War', far from saving Reichism and Reichist Germaney, only served to further discredit the ideology for the rest of the world by prolonging/worsening the war and dooming Germaney to nuclear devastation and post-war partition (making it effectively ceasing to exist for at least a few decades).
    • That is to say nothing about the sheer self-contradiction his very nature represent, as he was an unnatural metamagnetic abomination who is never part of the natural order nor part of the 'Master Race' and nation he was meant to incarnate, and thus is an 'inferior' and 'subequine' being which the very ideology he represents look down on and mandates the destruction of.
  • Made of Evil: He's the equinomorphic embodiment of Reichism, meaning he is literally made of hatred, bigotry, racism, and a genocidal desire to wipe out everything that doesn't fit their idea of purity.
  • Made of Explodium: When his physical form destabilized from the Breaking Lecture Shadow Sentinel and Metamare gave him, culminating in a Coup de Grâce by Metamare delivering a Megaton Punch to his chest, his (temporary) death resulted in his body detonating with enough force to be seen and felt for miles. All that's left of him being his cape hung burning upon the radioactive ruins of Bearlin.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Spirit of Reichism".
  • Meaningful Name: His name means 'Master Race' in German, which is what the Reichists presented him to the Germane people as: a perfect example of it, as he appeared to be everything they said the perfect pony of that race should be.
  • No-Sell: Herrenvolk was at ground zero with Metamare when the entire city of Bearlin was subjected to an atomic bombing from the Allied Powers. Like Metamare, he survived while everything else around them were reduced to burning, radioactive ruins, and even recovered faster than Metamare. Justified in that on top of being a Flying Brick himself, he was also at the time empowered from assuming command of Reichist Germaney and becoming the heart of the Reichist cause to the point he could overpower even Metamare.
  • Nuke 'em: On the receiving end when the Allied Powers had enough of him running Reichist Germaney and prolonging/worsening the war and decided to break the stalemate via atomic bombings, levelling the Germane capital of Bearlin where he was among other targets. Being empowered to the point he could even overpower Metamare at the time, however, he survived and even recovered fast enough to put Metamare, who was fighting him and also survived the blast, on the ropes.
  • Oh, Crap!: He developed a legitimate fear of Archdevil, the Infernal Champion as the rhyming Devil antihero, far from terrified by the realization he is a nigh-unkillable incarnation of mortal evil, found his inability to die so long as Reichism fun since it means the Infernal Champion could kill him as many times as he likes, with the additional bonus of no one batting an eye about his brutality given how loathed Reichists became. As of that drabble where this was noted, he had torn him apart no less than seven times and looked forward to encountering and killing him again once he reforms.
  • Resurrective Immortality: No matter how many times you kill him and destroy his body, he would reform so long as Reichism exists and is believed in by some-pony. Many would fear him for this, although Archdevil, the Infernal Champion found it fun.
  • Rule of Symbolism: Rather appropriately, the Final Battle at the end of the Second Great War between Herrenvolk against Metamare and Shadow Sentinel is set within the Germane capital of Bearlin... or rather the radioactive desolation which remains immediately following its atomic bombing by the Allies. Thus, the embodiment of Reichism made his Last Stand even as the Reichist dream quite literally burned and crumbled all around them, with his defeat and (brief) destruction marking the end of Reichist Germaney and the Second Great War.
  • Shock and Awe: On top of his Flying Brick powers, like many of his fellow Reichist supervillains he possess superpowers allowing him to manipulate storms and Electrokinetic powers. This is explained in part as due to the Reichists wanting to emulate certain pantheons and gods due to their reactionary cultural obsessions.
  • Salt the Earth: As part of his strategy to delay the Allies/Comintern's advance into Germaney (and also out of vindictive spite), he gave orders to implement scorch-earth tactics to deny the Allies/Comintern anything of value and inconvenience them. Notably, he gave the Germane military orders to destroy as much of occupied Prance still in their possession as possible once the Allies had landed in the north and south and set about liberating the country, although the Pranco-Bitish secret services and the Ponyland black ops unit the 'Inglourious Basterds' managed to prevent the order from being sent and implemented, much to Herrenvolk's fury.
    Herrenvolk: Is Mareris burning?! note
  • The Strategist: Brilliant in mind as in body, Herrenvolk was a capable military commander and had managed to prolonged/worsened the war leading Reichist Germaney's war effort towards the end of the conflict.
  • Superpower Meltdown: Shadow Sentinel and Metamare making him doubt himself by pointing out he's not a pony and never was, and thus is 'impure' by the standards of the belief system he literally personifies. This causes him to become unstable and, after being punched by Metamare at full power, explode.
  • Superweapon Surprise: Attempts to invoke this by greenlighting several projects held up by red-tape in order to even the odds against the by then ascendant Allies/Comintern powers, unleashing them upon their encroaching forces and ended up worsening/prolonging the war.
    • One example include a certain 'Nova-VI' nerve agent which was narrowly prevented from being used on Hooviet/Communist forces driving relentlessly towards Germaney and Marerope in the Eastern Front, although in the process of being bombed by Hooviet airforces the complex producing them ended up leaking them into the surrounding area and wiping out nearly the entirety of Army Group Coltland.
  • Villainous BSoD: Metamare and Shadow Sentinel eventually destroyed him (for the first time) near the very end of the 'Second Great War' by invoking this, starting with Shadow Sentinel pointing out despite or precisely because he is a literal incarnation of Reichism, he lives in direct contradiction of everything his ideology stood for since he isn't even a Pony - just an ideologically-imprinted metamagnetic abomination in the shape of one - making him 'impure' and 'subequine' being by Reichists' own persecuting standards. This causes him to doubt himself (even subconsciously) and suffer a Superpower Meltdown that allowed Metamare to literally punch him (briefly) out of existence.
  • You Cannot Kill An Idea: So long as Reichism exists and is believed by some Ponies, Herrenvolk cannot truly die, though that also means his existence is tied to the ideology and thus he would weaken and fade to little more than a ghostly barely-visible shade as the ideology declines into negligence. He was nearly destroyed completely during the Third Age, which was known for its world-wide compassion and benevolence, but he was revived with the rise of Tribalism and Autorism. Unfortunately for him, the sheer number of differing varieties of Tribalism and Autorism ensured that he would come back unstable, psychotic, and insane, which made him both dangerous and weak depending on the situation.

    Kaiserin
"No matter who you fight, regardless of what causes you fight for, do not forget your duty, and never forsake your honour."

Kaiserin (First introduced Here and Here) is a member of Germaney's Herrenhelden and was its most powerful member, being able to take on and even potentially defeat Metamare, but was also among its most honourable and noble member, even if she is ultimately fighting on the wrong side.

  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: She was the leader of the Herrenhelden Taskforce and was also its strongest member. Herrenvolk became stronger when she was taken out and he took over leadership of both the Herrenhelden and later Reichist Germaney, but that was due to his nature and circumstances.
  • Affably Evil: More affable to the point her being evil was debatable, but while she is genuinely honourable, dutiful, loyal and noble, she was still fighting for the wrong side. Realising how wrong her cause was at the end of the war did eventually caused her to have a sincere Heel–Face Turn.
  • Anti-Villain: Kaiserin was the biggest example of the fact not every soldier fighting for Reichist Germaney was a despicable genocidal maniac. In all her depictions and mentions she was noted and shown to be an honourable soldier who is polite, fair, dutiful and loyal to a fault. Notably in their first encounter she respected Metamare as a Worthy Opponent and honourable being, fighting to neutralize her only on orders of her Reichist superiors.
  • Barrier Maiden: She was essentially the only thing keeping Herrenvolk in check for the Reichists, given Kaiserin was the only Metabeing in the Herrenhelden who was strong enough to beat him if he ever went rogue. Her defeat and capture was a major catalyst for Herrenvolk managing to take over Reichist Germaney and drastically prolonging/worsening the war.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: On the receiving end: Velika Volja/Overmare holds this attitude towards Kaiserin, as despite being a distant acquaintance she was one of the few Ponies in her whole life who had been kind to her, sympathizing with each other over their shared plights and dreams. She doesn't even hold it against Kaiserin for fighting on the side of the Reichists during the Second Great War, whom she utterly despised, which was helped by the fact Kaiserin HAD renounced them as soon as she learnt of the Reichists' war crimes and genocidal atrocities. It's noted that Overmare would retain a soft-spot for Kaiserin despite Kaiserin continuing to stand in her way towards world domination alongside Metamare and other heroes.
  • Beware the Superman: Downplayed and Played With. The Reichists were less afraid of her than Herrenvolk on account of her being a staunch Germane patriot and loyal soldier, but they still took significant effort to hide their atrocities from her as they did with other Germanes on account of her honourable character, as the last thing they want is their strongest Super-Soldier reconsidering her allegiance out of moral outrage. Their fears proved justified: post-war, the revelation of the Holocaust led to Kaiserin having a Heel Realization and renouncing the Reichists.
  • Bio-Augmentation: She was subjected to this, turning her into a powerful, capable and dreaded Super-Soldier capable of matching even Metamare at first.
  • Broken Pedestal: She was a undyingly loyal soldier who loved her country...then post war, she learned about the true horrors of the Reichist's regime, including the death camps. She's absolutely horrified and renounces the Reichists before performing a Heel–Face Turn.
  • The Dreaded: Despite being an honourable Noble Demon in character, Kaiserin was feared by the Allies as the most powerful Super-Soldier on the Axis side and the strongest and official leader of Reichist Germaney's Herrenhelden taskforce. To note, she was initially stronger and more skilled than even Metamare, demolishing her in their first fight and only failed to neutralize her by quick thinking and desperate actions on Metamare's part allowing her to escape. She would maintain her reputation, dominating many of her battles with Metamare and other superheroes, and then still managing to hold her own even when Metamare had caught up with her power- and skill-wise, until she was finally defeated and captured during the 'Battle of Stuotgarten' in 1944.
  • Flying Brick: Has this as her power set, being her main counter among the Reichists, and had actually started out being stronger and more skilled than even Metamare, demolishing her in their first fight.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: She went from a sickly and sheltered little princess to a strong and skilled Super-Soldier and later superhero.
  • Heel Realization: The revelation of the Holocaust and other Reichist atrocities post-war led to this for her, as she realized to her horror exactly what cause she had fought for and unwittingly enabled. She immediately renounced the Reichists afterwards.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Already an anti-villainous and honourable Noble Demon in character, she would renounce the Reichists upon discovering the full scale of their atrocities, and worked for the rest of her life to atone for her role in enabling their wars and genocide and that of her country and people as a whole, turning from a feared Super-Soldier to a true superheroine beloved by much of Marerope.
  • Honor Before Reason: Her honourable disposition, while a merit to her character, it also bounds her to follow her orders and obligations as her honour and duty as a patriotic soldier demands. This leads to her fighting to neutralize Metamare despite respecting her as both a hero and an honourable being, as well as fighting for her country in their wars of conquest and aggression. It would only be upon learning of the full scale of the crimes the Reichist government she served was going about which finally forced her honour to follow reason and make her renounce the Reichist cause after the war.
  • Kaiserreich: Kaiserin was born a princess of one of the Germane principalities and states that formed Germaney, and maintains that as part of her supervillain and later superhero identity.
  • The Leader: Of the Herrenhelden, by virtue of being the strongest and the most capable member. It was mentioned she was the one who held the team together by strength of character and mutual respect, and her command was partly what turned a motley of dysfunctional, insubordinate and fractious villains and metabeings into an effective fighting force fighting on behalf of Reichist Germaney.
  • My Country, Right or Wrong: Loyal and patriotic, she fought for Reichist Germaney regardless of whether or not she agrees with what her country is doing, as it was what her honour and duty as a soldier demanded. It took her learning about the Holocaust and the full scale of her Reichist leadership's crimes, as well as seeing the ruination and ignominy the Reichist had brought her country, which finally caused her to realize who and what she had fought for and renounce Reichism, dedicating the rest of her life after the war to atone for her role enabling Reichist Germaney and redeem her country's honour as a well-respected national superheroine.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Kaiserin had a Heel Realization upon discovering the full scope of the Reichists crimes and atrocities as well as seeing the ruination and ignominy they had brought to her country. This caused her to renounce the Reichists after the war and dedicate the rest of her life atoning for her role enabling them and redeeming her country's honour as a well-respected Mareopean superheroine.
Kaiserin: [learning about the death camps] ... Nein... this... this can't be... T-This... this is what I was fighting for?
  • My Greatest Failure:
    • Post-Second Great War, she considers serving Reichist Germaney and unwittingly enable the Reichists' genocidal atrocities as this for her, which drove her to reform and become a true national superheroine in part to atone for it.
    • She also considers her inability to be the friend Velika Volja needs to be this as well, since as some had observed it might had prevented her from becoming Overmare. Overmare did not hold it against her, however, since this was more due to their respective obligations and circumstances beyond their control keeping them apart and preventing the blossoming of a true friendship.
  • Noble Demon: As mentioned, Kaiserin may be fighting for Reichist Germaney, but she was also a sincerely honourable, dutiful, loyal and brave soldier who only wished to serve her country the best she could and was respected as much as feared by both friend and foe alike. She fully turned heroic after learning of the Holocaust post-war and renounced the Reichists in her subsequent Heel Realization.
  • Obliviously Evil: She was genuinely unaware of how monstrous the Reichists actually were or the horrific crimes she was enabling by fighting for them. This was intentional on their part, as they knew her noble character meant she wouldn't tolerate it if she actually knew. True enough, the moment she learned the truth, she renounced their cause and made a Heel–Face Turn.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: She was a Germane princess enhanced into a Super-Soldier who served Germaney in a time of war on the front lines, and then afterwards became a national superheroine dedicated to protecting Germaney, Marerope and the world, partly to restore Germaney's honour for its crimes during that war but all out of a sense of duty granted by her powers and her station.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Was once a distant friend, with of all Ponies, Velika Volja, aka OVERMARE, having corresponded with her as pen-pals due to their fathers knowing each other from their university days. Too bad it wasn't enough to turn the Wonder Genius of Marerope away from descending into supervillainy.
  • The Worf Effect: Invoked this upon Metamare and Ponyland superheroes by demolishing Metamare in a fair fight at their first confrontation, being one of the first and few to ever do so.
  • Worthy Opponent: She considers Metamare as one, the feelings of which were mutual. On account of their past distant friendship, Overmare also counts Kaiserin as one as well.

    Panzerpferd (Panzer Pony)
  • Hand Blasts: He can fire concussive blasts from his forehooves.
  • Super-Toughness: Just below Kaiserin and Herrenvolk in terms of durability.

    Sturmbannführer (The Major)

  • Ax-Crazy: Was an insane military commander even by Reichist standards.
  • Arch-Enemy: Given his inspiration, he's probably sees this of a vampire count that happened to work for the Bitish/Isle of Pony throne to be this...
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Everybody seemingly underestimated Reichist commander at first, between the fact that he spent 55 years not doing much of anything notable, his short and pudgy appearance and Faux Affably Evil personality. Then he and his organization Millennium suddenly up and all but annihilated Londoneighum, killing 3 million out of its 8 million Ponies population, doing more damage than the likes of other nations, supervillains, terrorists, aliens, conspiracies, monsters and such in a single night and morning to the Isle of Pony than any other had before and apparently afterwards.
  • Blood Knight: If the inspiration is any indication, the Sturmbannführer is most likely this. He doesn't just like war - HE LOVED WAR!
  • Expy: of The Major from Hellsing Ultimate. It's even in the alias of Sturmbannführer, which is the SS-rank of 'Major'.
  • Eviler than Thou: Not exactly EVILER per say, but it's saying a lot when even Endsieg considers Sturmbannführer as insane. Sturmbannführer had been compared with Manic Menace, Mistletoe Dreamer and other utterly mad and twisted villains/supervillains.
  • Evil Genius: Going by the inspiration, Sturmbannführer is most likely this and a Diabolical Mastermind.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He appears to be quite sophisticated, charismatic and disarmingly harmless on the outside, but make no mistake, he's an Ax-Crazy warmongering maniac hell-bent on starting a new Great War and killing 'Atlocard' and whose grand plan towards those ends led to the death of millions, both friend and foe alike.
  • The Leader: Of Millennium, a Reichist secret conspiracy nominally affiliated with Uberreich but pretty much did its own thing for nearly 55 years before making their horrifically spectacular move.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: On the grand scheme of things, Sturmbannführer was only memorable for one notable act - devastating Londoneighum for his grand war and getting at Atlocard - but he spent 55 years planning it and made it count, causing more damage in a night and day than nearly all his peers as well as other rivals.
  • The Sociopath: Classically so. Sturmbannführer is charismatic, manipulative, and wickedly intelligent, even through his batshit insanity, but is simultaneously utterly bloodthirsty and utterly devoid of anything remotely resembling empathy.

    Sturmtruppler (Storm Trooper)

    Terrorgeist (Terror Mind)

    Walküre (Valkyrie)

  • Necromancer: She has a spear that lets her resurrect and command the dead.
  • Super-Scream: Has the ability to emit sonic shouts from her vocal cords.

    Morgenlicht Blitz

  • Expy: Of Zorin Blitz from Hellsing. Like Zorin, Morgen is a fascist vampire with a muscular physic.
