    Spider-Gang
A group of Spider-Man variants who are transported to an alternate Earth.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/spider_verse.jpg
The eight Spiders of the Spider-Gang (clockwise from top right; Peter Parker in the symbiote, Miles Morales, Peter B. Parker, Peter Porker/Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noir, Jedi Padawan Peter Park'r, Peni Parker and SP//DR, and Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman)

Peter Park'r

Species: Human (enhanced)

A version of Spider-Man from a parallel universe where he and other key members of the Avengers are born natives of the Galaxy Far, Far Away. He ends up on the Coruscant of this universe before both Peters get transported to Miles' universe.

  • Amazon Chaser: After Barriss died, he had brief flings with Silver Sable, Bo-Katan and Asajj Ventress before settling into a relationship with Ahsoka.
  • Good Is Not Soft: He might be basically Spider-Man as a Jedi, but that means he has no compunctions against cutting off Hammerhead's arm during a fight with the Sinister Six.
  • In Spite of a Nail:
    • Just like IW!Peter is Obi-Wan's unofficial apprentice, this Peter was apparently Obi-Wan Kenobi's "official" apprentice in his realty.
    • He dated Barriss and Ahsoka. The only difference is that in his reality he dated Barriss first and his relationship with Ahsoka began after Barriss was killed.
    • He has a group of six villains known as "the Sinister Sith," who were apparently named such by Anakin.
  • Likes Older Women: He mentions that Barriss is actually a year or so older than him, to say nothing of his brief flings with Silver Sable, Bo-Katan and Asajj Ventress (although it's noted that the last two are significantly younger in his universe than they are in the "prime" reality).
  • The Lost Lenore: It would appear that in this Peter's reality, Barris fills the role that in most universes is filled by Gwen Stacy.
  • Spot the Imposter: When this Peter arrives in the "main" universe, he's initially mistaken for the local Peter playing a strange joke, but that idea is ended when he mentions Siri Tachi, a Jedi who died at the start of the Clone Wars before any of the Avengers arrived who Peter couldn't know about.
  • That Came Out Wrong: Park'r immediately apologises when he comments that IW!Peter is dating his "dead girlfriend", as it sounds like he's basically accusing Peter of necrophilia.
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: Park'r subverts this in comparison to more traditional Spider-Men, due to growing up in wartime. He's not proud or enthusiastic about taking a life, but he will if he has no other option.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: The other Spiders are quick to criticize him for cutting off Hammerhead's arm, affirming that Spider-Man doesn't do that. Although IW!Peter expresses understanding that he's from a more brutal background where he's had to be that ruthless on occasion, and Noir also understands as he's also from a brutal time period where he's had to get his hand dirty.
  • You Remind Me of X: After he slices Hammerhead's arm off, Peter B. bemoaningly declares he can't introduce him to someone called "Wade."

Peni Parker

Species: Anime Human (enhanced)

A young girl from 3145 with a telepathic link to the spider that bit her, which she uses to control a mech.
  • Animesque: Clearly presented as this, to the extent of being shocked when Peter Park'r doesn't know anything about anime as a genre.
  • Ascended Extra: Basically applies; where Peni was introduced to Miles as part of the Spider-Gang, here she meets IW!Peter and Peter Park'r just after the funeral of the "local" Peter.
  • Badass Adorable: Freely declares that she's still only Spider-Girl rather than Spider-Woman, but is badass enough to fight Doctor Octopus.
  • Cute Machines: The two Peters are immediately won over by SP//dr's cute design.
  • A Girl and Her X: Peni controls her mech through a telepathic link to the spider that bit her.
  • Insistent Terminology: Insists that her mech is "SP//dr" rather than "Spider" even though the pronunciation is only subtly different.
  • Instant Costume Change: She can change her attire in an eye's blink - better demonstrated when she changes instantly into a military uniform while she and IW!Peter are rambling about the importance of anime to Earth.
  • Ocular Gushers: Upon hearing that Earth-1610 doesn't have neither Comic Con nor Batman, Peni starts crying like a fountain, to the point Miles comments to Jedi!Peter that Peni's tears "defies the laws of physics".
  • Psychic Link: Has a telepathic bond to the spider that bit her, which also allows her to pilot SP//dr.

Miles Morales/Spider-Man II

Species: Human (enhanced)

A young teenager who has just become the "new" Spider-Man after his predecessor's death.
  • How Do I Shot Web?: As in canon, Miles is shown struggling to master his powers in the middle of a crisis, to the extent that he mostly sits back and watches during the fight with the Sinister Six as he worries he'd get in the way of the more experienced spiders.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite the other Spider's being there and even having some experience in fighting villains, he still winds up losing his uncle like he did in the movie.
  • Kid Hero: Basically the youngest hero on the team (technically he's slightly older than Peni, but she's been a Spider longer), as he has literally only had powers for a few hours.
  • Legacy Character: Miles is basically the heir to the title of Spider-Man for the "local" Peter Parker.
  • Secret Test of Character: While in canon the other members of the Spider-Gang legitimately left him behind, here they were all just waiting outside his window for him to have his moment and realise what he was capable of.
  • Take Up My Sword: During the escape from Alchemax, IW!Peter gives Miles some of his old web-shooters to help Miles swing away, as Simby means he doesn't need the shooters himself.

Peter B. Parker

Species: Human (enhanced)

An older, more jaded Spider-Man from another reality.
  • Anti-Mentor: As in canon, this Peter is a very poor teacher for Miles, with IW!Peter openly questioning if this is what he's going to be like when he's that age.
  • Broken Ace: He has over two decades of experience as Spider-Man, but has been left jaded and bitter as his life as Peter Parker has basically fallen apart.
  • Composite Character: He's given a number of backstory elements taken from the original 616 universe Spidey.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: It's mentioned that mutants are a thing in his world (along with all the drama surrounding them), as he knows Pietro and Wanda Maximoff as such, and is implied to have had difficult encounters with Wolverine and Deadpool. His reaction to Simby the Symbiote also implies an encounter with Venom.
  • Demoted to Extra: Loosely applies. While still a major character in this arc, he is less of a leader than he was in the original film, with IW!Peter taking this role due to his unconventional experience, greater powers, and generally being less jaded and more attentive.
  • Noodle Incident:
    • When he first sees Simby, he complains that IW!Peter gets an alien suit that doesn't want to kill him.
    • He tells Miles and IW!Peter that if they ever meet a guy called "Logan" to never lend him money, as they'll never get it back.
    • When Alpha mentions a woman in a chair with a blindfold, surrounded by webs, Peter B.'s response suggests that he recognises her as Madam Web.

Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman

Species: Human (enhanced)

A version of Gwen Stacy that was bitten by a radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker.
  • The Aloner: As in canon, she's cut herself off from having friends since the death of her world's Peter.
  • Dance Battler: She utilizes her ballet skills while fighting.
  • In the Hood: Part of her costume.

Peter "Noir" Parker

Species: Human (enhanced)

A Peter Parker variant from a universe where it's 1933 and he is a hard-boiled private eye.
  • Adaptational Badass: Much like in the film, he's able to equal the more experienced Spiders when his comic counterpart is generally weaker. He even has organic webbing.
  • Adaptational Mundanity: Averted note , unlike the movie where he gained his powers from a radioactive spider bite, here he retains his comic origin of being bitten by a magical spider.
  • Ascended Extra: Like Peni, he's given more of a role in the story being the only Spider present other then IW!Peter who has been referred to as a "Totem".
  • Dating Catwoman: Sort of; Noir's in an on-and-off relationship with Felicia Hardy, except in his universe, she's a nightclub owner and his underworld informant, not a cat burglar. She does have a thing for cats, though, according to Noir...
  • Good Is Not Soft: Much like Park'r, Noir also comes from a brutal time where he has had to kill his enemies on a number of occasions to get the job done. He even carries a revolver.
  • Ignorant of Their Own Ignorance: Hearing IW!Peter talk about how The Father referred to him as a "Totem" prompts Noir to reflect that he should find out more about the idol that gave him his powers.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Defines himself as a scientist but is willing to concede that his powers essentially came from magic.
  • Riddle for the Ages: The other Spiders question how he can live in a black and white universe and still at least understand the concept of colour.
  • Superhero Packing Heat: He's the only member of the Spider-Gang who carries a gun on him, and he knows how to use it.
  • Wound That Will Not Heal: Unlike the other spiders his spider bite hasn't healed.
  • You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: After IW!Peter lets it slip his reality likely isn't too far off from World War II.
  • Younger Than They Look: Or younger than they sound in this case, as it’s noted by Peter B. that Noir sounds older than 34.

Peter Porker

Species: Cartoon Spider (enhanced)

A cartoon variant of Spider-Man, he was a spider who was bitten by a radioactive pig.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: As usual, a pig having spider powers is pretty ridiculous, but he keeps up just fine with the rest of the Spider-Gang in the web-slinging and fighting department.
  • Chubby Chaser: He mentions that he's dating Mary Jane Water Buffalo, defending the choice by saying that he likes large women.

    Spider-Society

A group of Spider-Man variants from across the multiverse being formed under Madame Web's supervision.

Miguel O'Hara

Species: Human (Enhanced)

In his universe it's the year 2099, and he gained his own spider powers after his DNA was spliced with that of Peter Parker, who is no longer around in his universe. He is also the same Miguel who appeared in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

Peter Parker (Universe-616)

Species: Human (Enhanced)

The Spider-Man of the main comics (or close enough) who appeared in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

Peter Parker (Universe-92131)

Species: Human (Enhanced)

The Spider-Man of Spider-Man: The Animated Series. He has been travelling with Madame Web for quite some time after she brought him with her to find his version of Mary Jane Watson.

    Earth- 1610 Heroes & Allies
Heroes and civilian allies of the other reality visited by the Spider-Gang.

Peter Parker

Species: Human (enhanced)

The "local" Spider-Man on the alternate world the other Spiders are all drawn to, who has been killed just before their arrival.

  • The Ace: Is intended to basically be the "ideal" Spider-Man, to the extent that he had the support of J. Jonah Jameson.
  • Celebrity Superhero: Had sold the rights to his superhero identity and used it as a means of additional financial support.
  • Dead Alternate Counterpart: IW!Peter and Peter Park'r realise they're in an alternate universe when they see the announcement of his death being broadcast on Times Square.
  • Determinator: Kept fighting even in the face of overwhelming odds from the Green Goblin.
  • The Lost Lenore: Serves as this directly to his wife Mary Jane, and symbolically to the city of New York given his popularity as a hero.

Mary Jane Watson-Parker

Species: Human (Earth)

Peter Parker's wife
  • Happily Married: She and Peter had a very good marriage before he was killed by the Kingpin.
  • The Mourning After: She gives a speech at her husband's funeral, with the death hitting her extremely hard.

May Parker

Species: Human (Earth)

Peter Parker's aunt
  • Cool Old Lady: Provided support for her nephew in his role as Spider-Man and offered the Spider-Gang additional support as they prepare to confront Fisk's forces and shut down the Collider.
  • Team Mom: She offers support to the Spider-Gang as they're working on their next move.

J. Jonah Jameson

Species: Human (Earth)

The former boss of the deceased Spider-Man of this world.
  • The Atoner: After Spider-Man's death and learning of his true identity as the young man whose photography he'd been purchasing for years, Jonah vows to dedicate the rest of his career to ensuring that Peter Parker's legacy and reputation is maintained as New York's greatest hero; after spending so long running a smear campaign against him.
  • Benevolent Boss: His speech at Peter's funeral affirmed that he dedicated himself to helping Peter once he learned he was Spider-Man.

Jefferson Davis

Species: Human (Earth)

Miles Morales's father and New York police officer.

Rio Morales

Species: Human (Earth)

Miles Morales's mother and nurse at a local hospital
  • Big "WHAT?!": When she learns that her son is the new Spider-Man. It's so potent that other Spider-People from across the multiverse sense it and wince in sympathy and pity for Miles.

Colonel Nick Fury

Species: Human (Earth)

Secretly the head of SHIELD.
  • Failed Attempt at Drama: He tries to be all mysterious about who he is with Miles, but the young Spider-Man already learned of Nick Fury from the rest of the Spider-Gang, completely foiling Fury's pitch.

    Earth- 1610 Villains

Wilson Fisk/Kingpin

Species: Human (Earth)

The one responsible for the super-collider that brought the various Spiders to his reality.
  • Alternate Self: Is a variant to IW!Wilson Fisk, who was arrested by Matt Murdock/Daredevil some time before the events of the fanfic.
  • Big Bad: The driving force behind the other villains of this reality.
  • Doppelgänger Gets Same Sentiment: Every spider who has experience with Wilson Fisk affirms that even if he got his family back, he would just chase them away again, taking it for granted that all Fisks would make the same mistakes.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He's an evil and unrepentant crime boss who mercilessly killed his universe's Spider-Man, but his family is immensely important to him. His entire motivation for having a super-collider built to explore the multiverse is so he can meet alternate versions of his wife and son, who are now dead in his own reality. Even as a child, he killed his abusive father to defend his mother.
  • It's All About Me: Fisk is attempting to reclaim his lost family by taking versions of them from another reality, ignoring both the wider risks of his experiments and the personal question of whether these alternates would want to be with him rather than stay in their own worlds in the first place.
  • The Juggernaut: He's able to hold his own against eight Spider-people at once.
  • Never My Fault: Fisk blames Spider-Man for his misfortune, instead of admitting that it was ultimately his mistakes and the mistakes of his many variants that caused his family to leave him; whether it be that they died or they grew to resent him for his continued actions.
  • Villainous Breakdown: When the Spider-Gang manages to obliterate his plans, Fisk is in a rage so powerful that he manages to battle ALL the EIGHT Spiders at once, not caring that he's only one villain against a large group of heroes.
Kingpin: You damned INSECTS! YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING!

Tombstone

Species: Human (Earth)

Norman Osborn/Green Goblin

Species: Human (Enhanced) (Earth)

  • The Ghost: Initially seemed to apply to him, since he dies before IW!Peter and Peter Park'r are displaced to Earth-1610. He returns alive and well (albeit battered) in the next chapter.
  • Spared By Adaptation: Survives the destruction of the first collider unlike canon.

Aaron Davis/Prowler

Species: Human (Earth)

Miles's uncle and one of the Kingpin's main enforcers.
  • Badass Normal: Holds his own against the superheroes with technology rather than natural powers.
  • Death by Origin Story: Is shot by Kingpin when he chooses not to hurt his nephew.
  • My God, What Have I Done??: When he learns the kid with spider powers he's been hunting down to kill on Kingpin's orders is his own nephew.

Doctor Olivia "Liv" Octavius/Doctor Octopus/Doc Ock

Species: Human (Earth)

The Kingpin's primary scientist on the Super-Collider project.
  • Badass Bookworm: The Kingpin's primary scientist and a dangerous opponent to Spider-Man.
  • Combat Tentacles: Utilises her tentacles as weapons in battle, and is caught off-guard when IW!Peter uses the symbiote to counter her.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Her modified tentacles are able to "grow" back if they're ever cut or removed from the main harness.
  • For Science!: Appears unconcerned about the risks of the collider experiment in favour of just achieving something nobody else has done, taking pride in her alliance with the Sith due to her opportunities for more twisted scientific experiments.
  • Mad Scientist: Par for the course for Doc Ock.
  • Rogues' Gallery Transplant: She starts off as an enemy of her own universe's Peter Parker, but after she's spit out in the Galaxy Far, Far Away of the main story, she meets up with the Sith faction being formed by The Son and Darth Momin, setting her up to be not only an enemy of IW!Peter but of the Avengers and Jedi as well, albeit with a focus on the Peter Parker of this world.

Shocker

Species: Human (Earth)

  • Hidden Depths: When questioned by Gwen, Schultz explains that his costume is intended to evoke his mother when she was baking in his childhood, which Gwen notes is a surprisingly wholesome reason for such a stupid costume.

Scorpion

Species: Human (Earth)

  • Cyborg: He has scorpion-like limbs in place of legs and a pincer for a left arm, as well as a scorpion-esque tail.
  • Power Pincers: His left arm is a mechanical pincer.

Electro

Species: Human (Earth)

  • No-Sell: Unfortunately for Electro, he wasn't expecting to face a Jedi, as lightsabers can easily deflect and absorb his lightning just as they can fight off Sith back in the Galaxy Far, Far Away.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: When he begins to glitch during the final battle, Electro decides to cut his losses and flee.
  • Shock and Awe: Generates vast amounts of electricity.

Rhino

Species: Human (Earth)

  • Aim for the Horn: During the first clash between the Spider-Gang and the Six, Peter Park'r cuts off the Rhino's horn.

Hammherhead

Species: Human (Earth)

  • An Arm and a Leg: While fighting the Spider-Gang, Peter Park'r cuts off Hammerhead's arm. This later becomes a running gag in the next chapter, with Hammerhead getting a prosthetic that Park'r proceeds to cut off again and again. It's to the point that Hammerhead is more exasperated by it than anything.
  • Artificial Limbs: He swiftly receives a cybernetic arm to replace his lost limb, only to lose the artificial arm in every subsequent rematch.

Vulture

Species: Human (Earth)

  • Demoted to Extra: One of Spider-Man's longest-standing foes, but here he barely even speaks and just takes part in mass battles without doing anything noteworthy on his own.

Doctor Jonathan Ohnn

Species: Human (Earth)
