Main Characters

    Anton

Anton Ball / Dynamite Anton

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anton_antonblast01.png
Antonball Deluxe appearance
"AAAAA! That does it! I'm gonna find out who did this and BLAST them into TEENY TINY LITTLE PIECES!"
Voiced by: Tony Grayson

The titular protagonist of the Anton games. An exterminator-turned-demolitionist with a love of spirits and destruction.

In Antonball Deluxe, he drunkenly falls into the sewers after a long night at Brulo's and, armed with his trusty Antonball, decides to bust his way home by breaking down any wall in his path. After Satan steals his spirits in Antonblast, he goes on a quest to take them back and destroy everything that may get in his way.

  • The Alcoholic: Owned a massive collection of spirits, and loves drinking them to the point of a Roaring Rampage of Revenge against Satan for stealing his booze.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: He has bright red skin. Considering he's a raging alcoholic, it might just be a full-body Drunken Glow.
  • Brooklyn Rage: While his early in-game voice clips are pretty neutral if a bit Wario-like, the Deluxe trailers and onwards give him a stereotypical Brooklyn accent. It aligns with his urban home, his tough image, and his delivering righteous payback on the Devil himself for coming between him and his liquor.
  • Brutish Character, Brutish Weapon: In Antonblast, his already reckless body-slamming play style is matched by the addition of wildly swinging around his Mighty Hammer.
  • Character Catchphrase: ANTONBLAST gives him 'IT'S HAPPY HOUR!', said at the start of Happy Hour. It's also associated with him in-universe, as in the Living with Anton trailer, he mentions children bugging him into saying the line.
  • Composite Character: In ANTONBLAST, parts of his design are lifted from Red Guy, including having blockier teeth and a more stylized appearance.
  • Dine and Dash: A regular perpetrator. Anton's well-known for not paying his tab at Brulo's, to the point where Brulo banned him from coming in prior to Antonblast.
  • Drink-Based Characterization: A hard-hitting, manly worker like Anton is obsessed with hard spirits and liquor. Getting between Anton and his collection of booze is a BIG mistake. In Antonball Deluxe, he had a favor for sodas and floats, which he's still able to get drunk on.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: His original appearance in Antonball had him with a rounder figure, a flabby belly and a circular beard. In Antonblast, he's much more triangular and Top Heavy, with a bigger and bushier beard. He also seemed to trade in his overalls in Ball for suspenders come Blast.
  • Expy: In Antonball, he’s effectively a red-skinned Wario both in terms of his appearance as well as his abilities. Averted as of his makeover in Blast, though as a joke he's drawn like Beavis in cutscenes.
  • Horrible Housing: As seen in Boiler City's "It's Not Much, But It's Home" secret room, Anton's apartment is sparse, dirty, and contains minimal furniture.
  • New Jobs As The Plot Demands: Antonball Deluxe mentioned him as Boiler City's top exterminator. Antonblast instead has him as a hammer-swinging demolitionist.
  • Nominal Hero: A classic example - beating up the devil is generally a good thing, but Anton's only doing it so he can get his booze back and will obliterate anything inbetween him and his spirits.
  • Punny Name: "Anton Ball" is a pun on the Hyperaffixation in the name of his favored weapon in Antonball Deluxe, as well as a reference to the game's title.
  • Perpetual Frowner: In ANTONBLAST, His default expression is a massive scowl.
  • Red Is Violent: Anton's skin is beet red, and his default response to anything that angers him is "charge into it with a hammer".
  • Signature Laugh: Has a 'Wah! Wahwahwahwahwah!'-sounding laugh that plays whenever he gets the shotgun power-up or earns enough combo points in Antonball Deluxe. In ANTONBLAST, it plays at the end of the Steam trailer and upon taking damage.
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: He's an angry, perpetually frowning man, but external comments and media implies he's actually got a pitiable life.
  • Tombstone Teeth: In ANTONBLAST, his teeth are much larger, blockier, and more prominent than in Antonball Deluxe.
  • Use Your Head: Performing his Antomic Bomb involves him flying headfirst at the ground, which also doubles as a Shockwave Stomp.

    Annie

Annie Bell / Dynamite Annie

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/annie_4.png
Antonball Deluxe appearance
Annie's casual outfit

"*cough* sorry about that."
Voiced by: Jenna Kathleen

Anton's vitriolic co-worker and the second playable character. A headstrong, vain, and loud woman, Annie loves to stir up trouble when it can best benefit her.

In Antonball Deluxe, Punchball sees her join Brulo's eponymous tournament for a shot at a lifetime's supply of ballble tea and the potentital to be better than everyone else. She joins Anton in his quest to recover his stolen spirits in Antonblast, purely for the chance of engaging in violence and destruction.

  • A Day in the Limelight: The creators have teased in the ANTONBLAST kickstarter about there being a separate mode called ANNIEBLAST, which alters the game's story to be about her.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: She has green skin.
  • Ax-Crazy: Anton is out to get his booze back from Satan. Annie just tags along so she can demolish everything along the way.
  • Blood Knight: Joins Anton’s crusade for the sole purpose of causing destruction.
  • Brutish Character, Brutish Weapon: Her weapon of choice in Antonblast is a morningstar she calls the Massive Mace, fitting with her hyper-destructive tendencies.
  • Costume Evolution: She goes from wearing a black overall dress in Antonball Deluxe to a suspender skirt in Antonblast.
  • Cute and Psycho: Cute as a button, with a downright adorable laugh. She is still just as violent as Anton, alongside having a serious sadistic streak.
  • Drink-Based Characterization: In contrast with Anton's love of incredibly hard alcohol, Annie is shown in Antonball Deluxe to have an entire room stocked with gallons upon gallons of sickeningly-sweet "ballble tea", a drink commonly associated with young women her age. Her story in Punchball even had her compete for a lifetime supply of the stuff.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: Annie started out as less cartoony and more shapely than Anton, but lost some of her curves in Antonblast in favor of a more witch-like frame to better match her attitude.
  • Enemy Mine: There's no love lost between her and Anton, and the feeling is certainly mutual. That being said, she wholeheartedly agrees to join Anton on his quest to reclaim his stolen liquor, if only for the sake of her own destructive amusement. Combined with the fact that both share a similar lust for violence and explosives, you effectively get a two-person army raising as much hell as possible across Backburner Peninsula.
  • Expy: She was initially concepted as the Mona to Anton's Wario as far back as Antonball Classic, as the younger and more conventionally attractive of the two, and she was even drawn with a friendlier face. From Antonball Deluxe forward, she was reworked into a Captain Syrup figure: comparitively prettier than her contemporary, but just as scheming and no less dangerous.
  • Green and Mean: Her skin is green, and she's portrayed as a rude woman looking for violence.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Her default expression is a massive toothy grin, contrasted with Anton's typical scowl. When hurt or injured in-game, it turns into a shocked but pained grimace.
  • Progressively Prettier: Zigzagged. Her scrapped sprites for Antonball Classic gave her a proportial sweet face and somewhat shapely figure. Come her debut in Antonball Deluxe, this was changed to her having beady eyes with rings at the edges and a wide grin, to further convey her deranged personality. Creator-approved fanmade content seem to split the difference between both designs, with her retaining her same crazed expressions as the latter, while still possessing more developed and curvy legs/hips compared to the top-heavy guy Anton.
  • Ship Tease: Implied with Anton. The trailer for Antonball Deluxe has him introduce her as his associate as a wildcat sound effect plays, and one of his post-level victory screens has him ask her to dance with him, but that's as far as the series goes so far, possibly due to mutual distrust in spite of their shared love of destruction. Word of God has confirmed that he finds the ship interesting enough to feature in future supplemental material.

    Brulo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/brulo.png
Voiced by: JB Long
A long-suffering casino owner and bartender. In Antonball Deluxe, he's a minor character in Antonball and hosts the Punchball tournament in Punchball. In Antonblast, he previously banned Anton from the casino, but temporarily lifted the restriction so he can get rid of Satan's workers.
  • A Day in the Limelight: The creators have teased that a DLC campaign featuring him as the main character will be part of ANTONBLAST if the kickstarter earns at least 200.000 dollars, though this has been challenged with he fact that the stretch goal wasn't reached, but it is possible that it could still happen if the devs get enough money from ANTONBLAST
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: He has yellow, or possibly golden skin.
  • The Bartender: He mans the bar in addition to running the casino, putting up with Anton's and Annie's wisecracks all the while.
  • Bragging Rights Award: In Antonball Deluxe, unlocking everything else in the game allows you to play as him, but by then you've already done everything, giving you little reason to play as him outside of ''Vs Antonball'' mode.
  • Expy: His character design and job are almost identical to the bartender from The Dover Boys, with the main difference being his skin color.
  • Foot-Dragging Divorcee: Though his wife left him, one of the online comics has him mention "the divorce papers I refuse to sign" as an example of places he keeps seeing her name.
  • New Jobs As The Plot Demands: He runs a casino by default, hosts a tournament in Punchball, and is revealed in Antonblast to have a stake in the demolition and transportation businesses. Unfortunately for him, all of his ventures are struggling.
  • Nervous Wreck: His official description doesn't introduce him as "perpetually perspiring" for nothing.
  • Punny Name: His other job as a bartender makes the Bru ("brew") in his name appropriate.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Never seen without his black vest and blue bow-tie.

Debuting in Antonball / Antonball Deluxe

Playable Characters

    Danton

Danton Small

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/danton_ks.png

Antonball Deluxe appearance
Nina's husband, and one of the four main playable characters in Antonball Deluxe who's unlocked by default. He has yet to make an appearance in Antonblast, though he appears in several promo images.
  • A Day in the Limelight: The creators have teased that a DLC campaign featuring both him and Nina as the playable characters will be featured in ANTONBLAST if the kickstarter earns at least 175 thousand dollars, though like Brulo's DLC this stretch goal wasn't reached, but there is a possibility it could still happen if Summitsphere gets enough money from ANTONBLAST.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has green skin, like Annie. Drawings for Antonblast gives him a bluish tint.
  • Costume Evolution: Like Anton, he switches from overalls to suspenders for his Antonblast appearance. He also received a larger hat and black goggles.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: In his original appearance, Danton wore overalls, had a green color scheme like Annie, and a short moustache. In ANTONBLAST, Danton wears a mechanic outfit, has a greenish blue color scheme, and has a long moustache that curls at the ends.
  • Expy: His name and Antonball design are heavily inspired by Dan Backslide, while retaining a demeanor more akin to Luigi.
  • Flat Character: He lacks any importance in the story of Antonball Deluxe and only serves as a player 3 character. ANTONBLAST, though, seems to portray him as Anton's rival or Sitcom Arch-Nemesis, from what's seen so far.
  • Happily Married: In contrast to Anton and Annie's Belligerent Sexual Tension, Danton and Nina seem to genuinely care for one another, to the point of being a couple. A promo image for Antonblast drawn by Danton reveals he's married to Nina, whom he doodles surrounded by Heartbeets and a note stating that he loves her.
  • Perpetual Smiler: His expressions range between a friendly smile and a Slasher Smile during gameplay.
  • Shout-Out: Danton's Antonblast appearance, particularly his large hat and handlebar mustache, is based on Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister.
  • Stylistic Suck: His Art-style is very crude, as evident from his self-made promo image.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: Is redesigned as this in ANTONBLAST, much like Anton.
  • Vague Age: The sole aversion among the main cast, as his self-made promo image reveals that he's 46 years old.
  • You Don't Look Like You: His redesign in ANTONBLAST is possibly the most drastic out of the main cast, having gone from a tall green-skinned guy wearing overalls and having a Luigi-like moustache, to a cyan-skinned Top-Heavy Guy with a drooping moustache wearing a mechanic outfit and black goggles.

    Nina

Nina Smell

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nina_ks03.png

Antonball Deluxe appearance
Danton's wife, and another one of the four main playable characters in Antonball Deluxe. Like Anton, Annie, and Danton, she's unlocked by default. She has yet to make an appearance in Antonblast, though she has appeared in promotional artwork.
  • A Day in the Limelight: The creators have teased that a DLC campaign featuring both her and Danton as the playable characters will be featured in ANTONBLAST if the kickstarter earns at least 175 thousand dollars. Although like Brulo's DLC this stretch goal wasn't reached, but there is a possibility it could still happen if Summitsphere gets enough money from ANTONBLAST.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Has purple skin.
  • The Artifact: Despite most of her color scheme changing to match Danton's updated colors, her hair keeps the lime green from her old design.
  • Costume Evolution: Her redesign for Antonblast has the most drastic departure from her old outfit, going from an overall dress like Annie to a purple two-piece suit.
  • Dreary Half-Lidded Eyes: Her eyes are always half-closed, giving her a cool and detached appearance.
  • Flat Character: Like Danton, she lacks any importance in the story of Antonball Deluxe, and only serves as a player 4 character. Antonblast seems to portray her as a rival of sorts to Annie.
  • Happily Married: Implied on her end with Danton. One of Danton's drawings made for Antonblast has him point her out in a heart-adorned doodle, declaring his love for her.
  • Meaningful Name: With a surname like Smell, you'd definitely expect her to have the most prominent nose of the cast.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Never smiles during gameplay.

    Old Manton
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/8d3398d9_5079_487d_91a7_8f0bd70eb6aa.jpeg
A senior citizen who resembles Anton. One of the unlockable player characters in Antonball Deluxe.

    Paul
A static 2D sprite resembling a more crudely-drawn version of Anton. An unlockable character.
  • Stylistic Suck: Is drawn very crudely, and doesn't have any animations.
  • Limited Animation: Exaggerated, to the point where his only sprite in the entire game is his idle sprite.

    Nothing
An invisible (Or possibly nonexistent) character who can be unlocked in the lottery.
  • Ambiguous Gender: Their gender isn't known. That is, if they have one.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Upon unlocking them, you get a message saying that you get nothing, but it then clarifies that it means the character.
  • Invisibility: Possibly. Their name is Nothing, and they don't have any voice clips or animations, but they still affect the environment.
  • Joke Character: They are by far the worst character in the game, as they're completely invisible.
  • Meaningful Name: Their name is Nothing. And they're either invisible or just plain nonexistent.

Fixed Gold Evil Baby Paul (Shiny)
A fixed, golden, evil, and infant version of Paul. An unlockable character.

    Peppino
An overweight, anxious pizza chef from Pizza Tower who's an unlockable character. Tropes about his appearance in his own game can be found here.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Exaggerated. In Pizza Tower, Peppino was invincible outside of boss battles, only getting stunned for a while and losing points when hit. Here, however, he's a One-Hit-Point Wonder like the other characters. His grab dash can also (ironically) no longer grab enemies, and his super jump has limited height - though he can now activate it from a standstill as opposed to having to run for a while, and he can move horizontally while using it rather than having to cancel out of it.
  • Art-Style Clash: Due to being from a different game, this is bound to happen. His animations and facial expressions are a lot more exaggerated compared to the other characters, and he's the only human character in-game to avert Amazing Technicolor Population.
  • Crossover Couple: Antonball's creators often joke on X about Peppino and Anton being a couple. There's even official art of the two messily French kissing.
  • Guest Fighter: He originates from Pizza Tower, and is a playable character in Antonball Deluxe. This is notably his first appearance in a full-fledged game, as Pizza Tower was still in development at the time.
  • The Voiceless: Doesn't have any voicelines, even the ones from the game he originated from. This is due to said game still being in development at the time, with the voices being establised fairly late into development.
  • Wild Take: His death animation. Notably, this falls under Unintentional Period Piece, as said animation is based on an animation that was scrapped in the final game.

    Micro Demon
A tiny demon who can be unlocked in the lottery.

    Ant on Ball
An ant on a ball who, as revealed in a background poster in the opening cutscene of Antonball, is the star of the Game Within a Game of the same name. They can be unlocked in the lottery.

    Antari
An Atari-style sprite of Anton. An unlockable character.
  • Gross-Up Close-Up: His portrait in the character selection screen is grossly detailed, unlike his actual sprite.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: His sprite is modeled after the Atari 2600, unlike the other characters, who are modeled after the Game Boy Advance. His portrait in the character selection screen is also (Ironically) a lot more detailed than the other characters', while still being pixelated.
  • Punny Name: His name is Anton mixed with Atari.
  • Retraux: Even more so than the rest of the cast, as he looks like he jumped straight out of an Atari 2600 game.
  • Stylistic Suck: His overly-detailed portrait and off-kilter resemblance to Anton is meant to mimic the detailed covers of games ported to the Atari 2600, which were known for their wild interpretations of the characters.

    Don
An anthropomorphic, buff, and blue donkey with sunglasses. An unlockable character.

    Snick
A SAGE 2020 demo exclusive character who originates from Pizza Tower. Tropes about his appearance in that game can be found here.

    Red Guy
A more stylized depiction of Anton who speaks in beeps. An unlockable character.

    Bebo the Ballbuster
A Ballbuster with a slightly darker color pallette than the others, an unlockable character.

    Cooper
A muscular anthropomorphic rooster wearing sunglasses. He can be unlocked in the lottery.
  • Bird People: He's a bipedal rooster. Unlike most examples, though, he completely lacks wings.
  • Funny Animal: He's an anthropomorphic rooster.
  • Guest Fighter: Like Don, he originates from Harmyarders.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Like Don, he's extremely muscular and well-built.
  • Punny Name: His name comes from chicken coop, and he's a rooster.

    Clive
An anthropomorphic rabbit wearing a backpack, and an unlockable character.

    Mini-Mitt
A red Mitt enemy who serves as an unlockable character.
  • Non-Indicative Name: He's the same size as the other mitts, contrary to what his name would imply.
  • Palette Swap: Unlike other Mitts, who are orange, Mini-Mitt is red.
  • Token Heroic Orc: He's the only Mitt to be a playable character instead of an enemy.

Enemies

    Ballbusters
Moles that aren't big fans of balls. In Antonball Deluxe, they serve as stage hazards and common enemies. In Antonblast, they work for Satan.

  • The Spiny: They wear spiked helmets, showing that they can't be beaten with a traditional Goomba Stomp. Hitting them with a ball or a bullet (in Antonball), knocking them down when they're stunned (in Punchball) or clutching into them from the side (in ANTONBLAST) will defeat them.

    Common Enemies
Assorted baddies that appear in Antonball and Punchball.

Debuting in Antonblast

Main Antagonists

    Satan
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/antonblast___keyart_satan2_8.png
"WHO. IS.THIS. RRRED GUY!?"
Voiced by: Gianni Matragrano

The devil himself. Jealous of Anton's skin being redder than his own, he steals his spirits to try and make himself more red.

  • Ambiguously Related: His design is quite similar to Micro Demon's, but the relation between the two has yet to be stated.
  • Bald of Evil: He's bald, and Satan himself.
  • Big Bad: He's the guy who stole Anton's spirits.
  • Big Red Devil: He has red skin, like most modern depictions of Satan. It should be noted that this is an actual plot point, as the reason why he steals Anton's alcohol is because he wants to have redder skin.
  • The Devil Is a Loser: He was so insecure about Anton having redder skin than him that he stole his booze.
  • Evil Is Hammy: The trailer shows him to be this in response to Anton. Since he is voiced by the same actor as Gabriel, this is to be given.
  • Evil Is Petty: The sole reason Satan antagonizes Anton and stole his booze... is because Anton has redder skin than him.
  • Expy: Between the structure of his face (with a long nose and big eyebrows), his portly stature, and his tendency to roll his Rs, Satan's design is a clear homage to Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog's version of Dr. Robotnik, which Summitsphere even acknowledges on their official channels. His tone of voice, big chin and prominent rear is also highly reminiscent of a certain other western cartoon demon, Cow and Chicken's Red Guy.
  • Fat Bastard: He's a rather portly fellow and is, y'know, Satan.
  • Flaming Devil: He's described as flamboyant, and steals Anton's booze so he can get a better tan.
  • I Shall Taunt You: In the second Dynamite Demo, Satan taunts the player before a level starts.
  • Joke of the Butt: A lot of the key art and pre-level taunts emphasize Satan's oversized caboose.
  • Laughably Evil: It's pretty clear from the get-go that Satan is not a straight villain.
  • Satan: It's in the name.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: His legs are miniscule compared to the rest of his body. Even more so than Anton.
  • Trilling Rs: The release date trailer has Satan's voice lines delivered with emphasis on the Rs.

The Bossbusters

    In general
A group of 4 Ballbusters who work for Satan and serve as bosses in ANTONBLAST.

  • Ambiguously Related: It's unknown how they're related to one another, though it's safe to assume they aren't due to Tallbuster and Smallbuster being in an implied relationship.
  • Cool Airship: In Boiler City, they chase the player down in one of these on the way out of the city.
  • Funny Animal: All of them except for Smallbuster are more anthropomorphized than the other Ballbusters.
  • Gender-Equal Ensemble: The group consists of two males (Tallbuster and Brawlbuster) and two females (Smallbuster and Maulbuster).
  • King Mook: All of them are boss versions of the Ballbuster enemy.
  • Meaningful Name: Their names all reference their appearance.
  • Only Sane Woman: Smallbuster and Maulbuster are the smarter members of the group when compared to the dopey and easy-going Tallbuster and the meat-headed Brawlbuster.
  • Punny Name: All their names are puns of Ballbuster mixed with a word fitting with their appearance.
  • Quirky Miniboss Squad: They're a squad of silly boss characters that are hard to take seriously. Similar to the Koopalings.

    Tallbuster
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anton_tallbuster.png
A long, snake-like burgundy mole who works for Satan.
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: He has large conjoined eyebrows.
  • Bucket Helmet: Wears a bucket as a helmet. Notably, unlike most examples, he wears it right side up.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: The huge guy to Smallbuster's tiny girl, the two are also implied to be in a relationship.
  • Informed Species: Looks more like a brown snake with arms than a mole.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: His boss fight, as shown in the October 3d livestream, features him throwing Cartoon Bombs at Anton.
  • Lean and Mean: Is very tall, and works for Satan.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: His bio describes him as a slacker who doesn't want to fight and instead prefers to hang out in his hot tub.
  • Unflattering ID Photo: Unlike the others who's sprites are taken directly from their appearance in Boiler City, his introduction portrait seen above is actually his animation when you damage him during his boss fight.

    Smallbuster
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anton_smallbuster.png
One of the Bossbusters. A small, white Ballbuster with a mug for a helmet.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: The smallest and least angry-looking of the bunch.
  • Background Boss: Jumps into the background and starts shooting missiles at you at some point in her boss fight as shown in the October 3d livestream.
  • Bucket Helmet: She wears a mug for a helmet. Like Tallbuster, she also wears it right side up, unlike most instances of this trope.
  • Bullfight Boss: As shown in one YouTube Short, her bossfight has her attempt to barge into you with her mecha, only to crash into the wall, leaving her vulnerable to damage.
  • Expy: Is a rather small and wimpy-looking member of a Quirky Miniboss Squad, who fights in a Mini-Mecha, somewhat like Tinker Knight.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: She makes up for her literal short comings in combat by using her scrap mechs.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: The tiny girl to Tallbuster's huge guy and the two are hinted to be an asset.
  • Killer Rabbit: She might by small and fluffy with big eyes but she's no less dangerous or vicious than her cohorts.
  • Made of Explodium: Her mech explodes a ludicrous amount of times every time it takes damage.
  • Mini-Mecha: She's shown fighting Anton in a pink mech suit launching explosives in the October 3rd trailer.
  • Megaton Punch: Her vehicle has a single giant fist that she uses to punch at Anton and Annie.
  • No Mouth: Her sprite never depicts her with a mouth.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: She's nothing but a ball of white fur with large eyes and small snout, she wears a teacup as a helmet and to display how much smaller she is than the other Bossbusters she only has one claw per hand.
  • Shorter Means Smarter: She's tiny, as her name implies, and also makes elaborate mechs out of literal trash.
  • Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: Her boss intro animation gives her distinctly large eye lashes to add to her cutesy appearance.
  • Token Mini-Moe: Unlike most of the Bossbusters, who are constantly angry, Smallbuster is a tiny Ridiculously Cute Critter.

    Maulbuster
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anton_maulbuster.png
One of the moles making up the Bossbusters. She's a muscular actress mole wearing a viking helmet.
  • Berserk Button: She takes great pains to lay out her plans and flies into a rage when they don't go as expected,
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: Her eyebrows are so large, they overlap her helmet.
  • Brawn Hilda: She's large, angry-looking and has a viking motif, to the point where she can easily be mistaken for a guy.
  • Fat Bitch: She's quite plump and is among the game's main baddies.
  • Horns of Barbarism: She wears a helmet with horns on it, and is easily the most unhinged-looking of the Bossbusters.
  • Horny Vikings: Her helmet has horns on it, like most unrealistic portrayals of vikings.
  • Mama Bear: She's the Team Mom of the Ballbusters and is also an irritable and dangerous perfectionist.
  • The Perfectionist: The best way of describing her core personality.
  • Team Mom: She is described as being this to all the other moles.

    Brawlbuster
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anton_brawlbuster.png
The brawniest of the Bossbusters. He's a muscular, yellow wrestler mole with a heart tattoo.
  • Lost in Character: His bio on the Kickstarter states that he's a pro wrestler who missed the memo that it's a staged performance.
  • Pro Wrestling Is Real: Justified. His bio states that he's a pro wrestler, but he missed the part that it's staged.
  • Sinister Schnoz: Has quite the pointy nose, and works for Satan himself.
  • Tattooed Crook: He has a heart tattoo on his left arm, and works for the literal devil.
  • Thin Chin of Sin: Has a large chin, and is one of Satan's henchmen.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: Like Anton, Danton and Don, his torso is broad, contrasting with his skinny legs.

Other Minions

    Jewel Ghoul
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b9103cbc6a257af6fbc70eb014fa0cdf544bfc9a7482d699661fbd6f59cce075_1.jpg
A gem-headed giant in a suit who Anton fights in what seems to be a mix between a cave and a nightclub.
  • Ambidextrous Sprite: Averted. A lot of details such as his hat and his gold tooth stay on the same side when he turns.
  • Floating Limbs: He lacks arms, and instead has floating hands that he punches you with.
  • Flunky Boss: In the teaser, smaller gem dudes in suits come to assist him in battle.
  • Giant Hands of Doom: He uses his giant hands to punch at Anton, and to fire a comically large pistol.
  • Hand Cannon: He's packing a pistol that's normal sized for him, but gigantic compared to Anton.
  • Non-Human Head: He has a purple gem for a head that you need to attack to damage him.
  • Rhyming Names: His name contains two rhyming words.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: His jewel-shaped torso accentuates the chest and shoulder region.
  • Villainous Gold Tooth: He has a prominent golden tooth, and serves as one of the game's bosses.

Alternative Title(s): Antonball Deluxe, Antonblast, Antonball, Anton Series
