Find a Trope:
openCreate disasters
Is there a trope, or possibly tropes, that describe someone that purposely creates disasters, accidents, generally events that cause chaos and death for a sinister and/selfish purpose like money or to satisfy some evil God?
openTalk-To-Self Hint
Player character talk to themselves to give player hints, and sometimes indirectly tell them how stupid their idea is.
openChocolate Is Dog Poison
chocolate being point out or shown as poisonous to dogs, usually as a gag
openWhat is this trope?
A character is insulting another character when latter can't hear him/her.

openMook maker can have one Mook out at a time
Do we have a trope for a specific limitation that a Mook Maker can only have one Mook out at a time? Basically Mook Maker Meets One Bullet at a Time.
And if not, Is This Tropeable?
Edited by BalmungopenAbusive Relationships and Body Size
Do we have a trope for how domestic abusers are usually larger than the one being abused, or something along those lines? For example, someone doesn't want to admit their significant other is abusive because they're taller and more muscular while the abuser is dainty and short.
openConsequences of Idealization
Do we have any tropes dealing with the consequences of idealization? I'm not talking about the consequences of idealism, I'm talking about the consequences of blindly viewing specific people as "perfect" and, as such, ignoring the fact that they are people with flaws just like anyone.
To help you get what I'm talking about: Stories focusing on this usually end with a reveal that the idealized character is a Stepford Smiler. It's also very common that the idealized character is a Living Emotional Crutch to the other character, and that the other character will be deeply troubled by any suggestions that the idealized one isn't perfect.

when trying to save someone in the past backfires or just can't work, such as trying to stop John F Kennedy's assassination which is often considered
openone question
so there is this German soldier that is a rat that lives inside a mouse hole who controls a tank made from a soup can but also controls a giant robotic cat from the inside
what trope does that fall under
openAward winning Performance
Which trope to describe an actor who delivered an award winning performance in a movie? For the YMMV page for the movie.
openOverly personal questionnaire
A questionnaire, application, or personality quiz is made of uncomfortably personal questions, such as blood-type or your list of allergies, always because the person running the quiz is fishing for personal information, rather than doing anything in good faith. Seen in a lot of my usual mentions; Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Every Man Hybrid, Spectacular Organic...
openStars associated with afterlife?
What's the trope for when the stars are associated with heaven or similar? They may even say, "Each star represents a dead person" or something like that.
openA movie that's playing mirrors what's happening in-universe
A couple months ago I remember seeing a TLP entry where events on-screen mirror what's happening in-universe. An example is in The Legend of Korra "Night of a Thousand Stars" where the events during a showing of a propaganda flick at the Pro-bending Arena mirror what happens in the episode.
openWhite Sheep Faction
When a race, culture or species that is usually considered Always Chaotic Evil has a Renegade Splinter Faction or some other group that is good
openCool Liquid Metal
When liquid metal shows up, usually because of the Rule of Cool and doesn't always behave as it physically should(like taking a semi-solid form or being a metal that melts at much hotter conditions in room temperature). Includes the Meltan line, the T-1000
openDouble Standard Female Adultery
When women are more likely to be a Sympathetic Adulterer than men
What is the name of the trope where the character thinks that he is the only Only Sane Man surrounded by idiots but he is actually a lot worse than the other characters?
